Kanye West, Nicki Minaj And Ke$ha Lead Huge Album-Release Week

It happens every year around this time. No, not that food coma from too much turkey — the parade of megastar albums that drops the week of Thanksgiving.

While the past two weeks have already seen the release of a number of potential blockbusters, from Taylor Swift's instant-platinum Speak Now to new albums from Susan Boyle, Kid Rock, Rihanna, Josh Groban and Rascal Flatts, Monday's bumper crop could help pump some life into the holiday season.

After Kanye West decided to stake out the off-cycle Monday as the release date for his eagerly anticipated My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, his competitors fell in line to take advantage of the holiday-week sales rush, with Nicki Minaj, My Chemical Romance and Ke$ha pushing their release dates up one day as well.

"I think Kanye will do great," said Carl Mello, director of purchasing for the 28-store Newbury Comics chain, one of the few remaining non-big-box music retailers in the nation. "He did himself a lot of favors putting up so many tracks during the year and engaging with the audience."

Between the string of G.O.O.D. Friday releases and his headline-grabbing "Runaway" mini-movie, Mello said Kanye set the album up by whetting his audience's appetite for months on end. As for Nicki's Pink Friday, even though she spent the year building up cred with a series of features and her own hit "Your Love," Mello predicted she'd do "fine" but wasn't expecting her to put up Kanye numbers. "It's nice to have a female rapper who is credible and has a chance at being quite popular," he said.

The bigger challenge might come for My Chem, whose Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys has gotten good buzz thanks to the speedy single "Na Na Na," but they have been out of stores since 2006's The Black Parade, which divided some fans.

"There's almost nothing harder to sell than something that reacted well with 13- to 14-year-olds a few years ago, but who don't necessarily make the journey with the band over the years," he said, noting the dive in popularity of similar bands such as Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte.

And though first-week sales of Rihanna's Loud are not expected to be blockbuster, Mello also said he expects that album and Kid Rock's Born Free to be solid sellers through the end of the year, along with Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, as well as Swift and previously released discs by Eminem and Lil Wayne.

Billboard magazine Senior Chart Manager and analyst Keith Caulfield agrees that West will probably have the biggest sales week, but said Ne-Yo could also have a solid bow with Libra Scale after months of working singles to radio. While he thinks Nicki could have a good week, Caulfield was cautious about Ke$ha's Cannibal.

"She could also do well, but because she's so track-oriented, it's hard to say," he said. "The best comparison for Nicki would seem to be Missy Elliott at her height with Under Construction, which sold 259,000 in its first week, and that's when people bought a lot of records. It's hard to gauge how an artist who, up until this point, has been very track-oriented but has an established record for a long time before releasing a proper album will do."

He pointed to fellow Young Money rapper Drake, who built his career up for nearly a year with a popular mixtape and features before releasing a full-length debut. "She's very different. She's colorful and versatile, but it's hard to pinpoint how that will translate into sales," he said, noting that "Your Love" has sold a very respectable 700,000 downloads to date.

Also in the mix are greatest-hits releases from Jay-Z and Pink; Lloyd Banks' H.F.M.2; the reissue of Nine Inch Nails' debut, Pretty Hate Machine; a Jimi Hendrix box set that Mello said is doing very well at his stores; Bruce Springsteen's The Promise archival set; the "Burlesque" soundtrack; and next Friday, a Target exclusive acoustic set from Justin Bieber.

And the hits will keep coming through the holidays, with a Christmas-themed "Glee" soundtrack on November 30 — which will also bring the latest from the Black Eyed Peas, The Beginning — followed the next week by T.I.'s No Mercy. December 14 brings the last potential blockbuster of 2010, the first posthumous album of Michael Jackson material, Michael, as well as the major-label debut of "American Idol" season-nine runner-up Crystal Bowersox, Farmer's Daughter; R. Kelly's Love Letter; and Ciara's Basic Instinct. (All release dates subject to change.)

Emma Watson 'Very Proud' Of 'Deathly Hallows - Part 1'

The three main "Harry Potter" stars — Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint — have all grown up since we first laid eyes on them in "The Sorcerer's Stone." But even more amazing is a look back at the massive endeavor the cast, crew and studio undertook, bringing one of the world's most popular book series to life and doing so with the same actors over eight films.

When MTV News caught up with the lovely Emma Watson as she promoted "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1," we asked if she feels a sense of completion, having fulfilled the role of Hermione from beginning to end.

"I think 'Part 2' will be completion," she said. "I feel very proud of this movie, which is really nice. It's really a pleasure to promote it when I'm genuinely like, 'Wasn't it great?' I'm really genuinely excited."

Watson also pointed out that, in the seventh film, she and her co-stars are given the responsibility of carrying most of the film on their shoulders.

"I think it's really lovely that David [Yates] and Steve Kloves the script writer and everyone decided, 'Right, I think these guys are old enough now to carry this movie alone,' " she said. "And they really put that faith in us and gave us the space to really show what we can do. It's really fun that it's about the three of us. It's kind of like a road movie — without the car.

"The story started with us, and I think it's right that it should end with us," she said.

The American Music Awards are known for their high-octane performances, and this year is no exception, with Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Kid Rock, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Pink, Usher, Ne-Yo, Diddy and more set to hit the stage.

Christina Aguilera will also be performing, doing a number from her upcoming movie "Burlesque." When MTV News caught up with the Grammy winner/ movie newbie recently, while doing press with her hunky "Burlesque" co-star Cam Gigandet, we asked her what fans can expect from her AMA performance.

"It's going to be fantastic," she said. "And it will give you a fitting little look inside the movie."

Aguilera said her saucy, burlesque-style dancing will set her performance apart from past appearances.

"It will be another very new challenge for me," Aguilera admitted. "My legs have been incredibly sore as I stepped into the role of Ali for this." In the film, Aguilera plays a small-town girl with big dreams — Ali — who stumbles on a burlesque club owned by the feisty Tess (Cher).

Aguilera added that, while re-learning the dance routines was grueling, the choreography is amazing. "You're going to get quite the show," she promised. "Quite the spectacle."

While Aguilera is new to the world of acting, Cher told MTV News that the pop star can dish it out with the best of them. "The scenes that she and I had together, I really enjoyed, and I really believe that she's got definite chops," she said. "We worked well together. I enjoyed all of it, and she was toe-to-toe with me the whole time."

What are you expecting from Christina's AMA performance? Let us know in the comments!

Daniel Radcliffe Doesn't Want To Play Harry Potter Again

In spite of the billions of dollars grossed by the "Harry Potter" film franchise and the book series it's based on, the obsessive devotion of fans, the endless merchandise, blogs and so forth, the wizard series is coming to an end. For real.

MTV News caught up with superstar Daniel Radcliffe as he promoted "Deathly Hallows - Part 1," and we asked him about J.K. Rowling's recent "Oprah" interview. The author denied to Oprah Winfrey that she had said she'd never write another "Potter" book. So we asked Radcliffe if he could foresee revisiting his Harry Potter character someday.

"I think Jo is being very kind to a lot of people by giving them that little bit of hope and me that mild heart attack," Radcliffe joked. "But I've been doing this for 10 years. A team of surgeons would be needed to reapply my jaw to my face if she did this. I would be incredibly surprised but, you know, the other thing is, people have been saying, 'If she did [write more books], would you be in [the films]?' And at this point in time, 'No' is the answer," he admitted. "I've done it for 10 years and that's a long time. But I'm also being careful to qualify that with, 'Better men than me have changed their mind.' "

Radcliffe went on to say that while he's resisting the urge to say "never again" to another "Potter" film, he also hopes he's able to move onward with his career.

"I don't want to say it would be a step backwards because these films have been so good to me, but over the next few years I'm going to be working very hard to establish myself as an actor outside of this series," he said. "It would seem self-defeating if I went back to them."

Are you sad to see the "Harry Potter" franchise ending? Should the series go on? Tell us in the comments!

'Love And Other Drugs' Stars Say The Story 'Trumps' The Nudity

'I think us taking off our clothes in the movie is the result of us knowing that we cared about the story,' Jake Gyllenhaal tells MTV News.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway may claim that there isn't that much nudity in their new romance/drama "Love and Other Drugs," in which Gyllenhaal plays playboy Viagra sales rep Jamie who falls for Hathaway's free-spirited Maggie, but given the publicity surrounding it — as well as their scantily clad Entertainment Weekly covers this week — we think there's more to the story.

When MTV News caught up with the playful co-stars, we asked them if they realized how much they would eventually have to talk about getting nekkid.

"I really didn't," Gyllenhaal insisted. "I really, honestly did not think about that at all."

"I didn't either," Hathaway added. "Because when you make a film, you don't know what the film is going to be or how much of what you shot is going to be in it, and so to anticipate a reaction is kind of fruitless."

"Plus, maybe I'm a little naive in thinking that the story trumps all the little naked presence," Gyllenhaal offered.

"There's not that much nudity," Hathaway insisted. "I saw the film the other night, and we'd been talking to journalists for a couple weeks at that point, and when I saw it, I'm like, 'Why is everyone going on about this?' It's really such a small part of the film," she said. "It's almost like the media is conditioned to think of this as being a very big deal. I don't think it's a big deal, so I didn't anticipate anyone else doing so."

Gyllenhaal did admit that he and Hathaway strip down throughout the film, but that it really shouldn't be the focal point.

"We are naked a lot, that is for sure. I don't want to play it down either," he said. "We are naked a lot more than you normally see in movies, but I think us taking off our clothes in the movie is the result of us knowing that we cared about the story and the story is important to us. The talk about being naked or having clothes off or how racy the scenes are, no matter how much we talk about it, we know what we've done we're really proud of."

"I just do it for the money," Hathaway joked. "I don't care about the story."

'Deathly Hallows - Part 1': Everything You Need To Know

Posted: 19 Nov 2010 03:52 AM PST

We revisit all of the magic that went into creating the first of the 'Harry Potter' series' two-part finale.
By Eric Ditzian

After the first five films in the franchise cast a combined $4.5 billion spell on the movie-going public, it was inevitable: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," J.K. Rowling's final, 759-page book in the boy-wizard series, was going to be split into two separate movies.

" 'The Deathly Hallows' is so rich, the story so dense and there is so much that is resolved that after discussing it with [Rowling], we came to the conclusion that two parts were needed to do it justice," producer David Heyman said in a statement explaining the move at the time.

The announcement came in March 2008, well before "Half-Blood Prince" added a cool $934 million to that already gargantuan total. Good call, Warner Bros.! Now, part one of "Deathly Hallows" is upon us, and MTV News has got coverage of the flick stretching back to when the one-into-two-movies decision became public. Before you hop on your broomstick and swoop into the multiplex — or, you know, just take a car — check out everything there is to know about "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1."

The Split
OK, so we knew the book would be divided into two movies, but the big question was where the first movie would end and the second begin. We put that query to Emma Watson, a.k.a. Hermione Granger, in '08.

"I don't know," she admitted. "I am as intrigued as you are. I am waiting at the moment to receive the script. It's a tough call. I'm sure it will be some cruel cliffhanger."

Right. Later, director David Yates dropped us a hint about the split. "We've had three or four different ideas about where to cut off the seventh film," he said. "Traditionally, the movies have ended with a death or a bereavement, some sort of passage or arrival. This time we think we will end with more a cliffhanger."

For a while, there was a rumor that "Part 1" would indeed end with a cliffhanger: Harry and his friends would be captured and brought to Malfoy Manor, but that didn't turn out to be true. The film, it turned out, would end when Voldemort gains control of the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows that allow the holder to conquer death. And that, we learned after a recent screening, is exactly when the credits roll.

The 3-D
As "Avatar" made its record-breaking climb to box-office immortality, Warner Bros. announced that "Deathly Hallows" would be getting a post-production conversion to 3-D.

" 'Harry Potter' is already an epic film, but having that added dimension will make it even more epic, and that seemed like an opportunity that was too hard to pass up," producer Heyman told us in March of this year.

By that point, though, the conversion process still hadn't been started. Would it be finished in time? And would the 3-D be high-quality enough to please fans jaded by substandard three-dimensional fare like "Clash of the Titans"? Apparently not. The studio announced in October that it was canceling 3-D for "Part 1." "We do not want to disappoint fans who have long anticipated the conclusion of this extraordinary journey," Warner Bros. said in a statement.

Staring Into the 'Hallows'
The shoot got started in early '09, and months before production wrapped, we'd already received our first official look at the film. It was rather uninspiring, a simple photo of Hermione, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Harry (Daniel Radcliffe). Eh. Thankfully, subsequent peeks at the flick more than fulfilled expectations.

Look, there's Harry with his trusty wand. There's the first trailer, with a Voldemort vs. Harry throwdown and a peek at footage from 'Part 2.' And a snap of Harry riding shotgun with Hagrid. And a final, high-intensity, super-dark trailer.

As Rufus Scrimgeour says, "These are dark times, this is no denying."

What the Kids Have to Say About 'Potter'
The fun kicked off in London last week during the London red-carpet premiere, the boys looking spiffy in their ties and the girls all glam in their haute couture. MTV News traveled across the pond for some one-on-one time with the cast. Both Watson and Radcliffe had some funny stuff to say about their surprising onscreen smooch.

"It was only the day before that they said, 'Oh, by the way, we hope it's all right, but we want you to be topless, and we're going to cover you in silver paint,' " Watson told us. "It was awkward enough as it was without the silver paint and the strapless bra, but whatever. It works. It looks good for the story."

Said Radcliffe, "I thought it was going to be a kind of a slow, sensual thing, and Emma really went for it."

We flew back to New York for another red-carpet premiere, just days before Friday's (November 19) release.

"It's sad, absolutely," Radcliffe said about the series coming to an end. "[But] we're going out on a high note. To sustain this level of quality for 10 years is a very rare thing in a big franchise. I think it's us and 'Toy Story,' to be honest. I think we've done amazingly. I'm thrilled."

T.I. 'Sick And Tired' Of Being In And Out Of Prison

'This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before,' rapper says in new prison-penned letter.

T.I.'s latest prison bid is apparently changing the MC's perspective on getting locked up.

Tip was hauled back to jail earlier this month to kick off his second stint behind bars in a year after he violated his probation by getting arrested on a drug charge in Los Angeles in September. In a message posted on the Atlanta spitter's website Thursday (November 18), the trap star, who has a litany of arrests and periods of incarceration that pre-date his chart-busting hip-hop career, described his current prison bid as a turning point in his history with the penal system.

"This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that's saying a lot for a n---a who's been down locked up as many times as I have," Tip wrote. "I see this as a real ass whoopin'. The kind you don't just go back outside to play afterwards. You take ya ass to bed and don't come out of your room until it's time to go to school."

T.I. also said that switching between life as a free man and an inmate was getting old.

"I don't know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I'm certainly sick and mother f---ing tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it," he said. "I'd have been better off doing a 5-10 year bid one time than going in time and time again for days, weeks and months for the last 15 years of my life."

Even though his legal run-ins have "been a long road," T.I. maintained that "I'm still standing, barely, but nevertheless still standing." He also said that instead of looking to others for inspiration and encouragement, he's going to turn inward for a sense of purpose.

"At one time I thought my motivation for continuing was for my fans, my partna Philant, my pops, my grandmama, even for the haters or the people I let down. But nah... I got to do this sh-- for me!!!" he said. "I'll be God damned if I've come all this way and made it through so much hell to let it go down like this! F--- that! If an hour in the dark is worth a second in the sun then pass me my mother----in' shades cause I'm ready to cash my darkest hours in...ASAP!!!"

The MC reflected on his lack of a consistent and positive father figure in his life as a factor in his development as a young man, saying, "My mother and grandparents did the best they could but I found my manhood in the trap and in prison systems." The "Get Back Up" MC then promised that his children won't follow in his footsteps as a felon.

"[None] of mine will ever have to feel the cold tight grip of a handcuff or grace the presence of a jail cell if I can help it," he wrote. "Over my dead body! So if you can't respect that you ain't rocking with my movement, then f--- you dog!"

T.I.'s album No Mercy is slated to hit shelves December 7.

Bruno Mars' 'Grenade' Video: The Passion Of The Crooner

Posted: 19 Nov 2010 09:01 AM PST

Singer/songwriter thinks outside the box in clever new clip.
By James Montgomery

Bruno Mars in his "Grenade" music video

Bruno Mars is sort of like Meat Loaf, only without limits: He would do anything for love, including — but not limited to — catching a grenade, putting his hand on a blade, leaping in front of a train, being shot in the brain and, of course, dragging a piano all around Greater Los Angeles.

That last one doesn't rhyme, because it's not supposed to. It's the basic premise of Mars' brand-new "Grenade" video, which finds the diminutive crooner shouldering the load (literally) for love, lugging an upright piano over freeways, through tunnels, past some serious gangbangers (and one mean-ass pit bull) and against traffic to serenade his special lady friend. Of course, by the time he makes it to her house, she's already found her way into the arms of another man, which disheartens Mars to such a degree that he sets himself (and his piano) down in front of a speeding train. After all, not only is he a man of his word, but as he proves over the course of the video, he's not exactly opposed to a dramatic gesture either.

Credit is due to Mars for thinking outside the rather rote, pop&B box when it came time to make the "Grenade" video. After all, it would've been easy — and expected — to make something slick, sexy and/or saccharine, a glossy thing where he croons from a rooftop somewhere, removes his shirt, and somehow ends up with the girl. None of that happens here. Rather, we see Mars struggling and sweating, being taunted and tempted, falling and rising again (there is something oddly "Passion of the Christ" about his ordeal). He ends up alone, unloved. He probably gets flattened by a train. It is sort of sad, really.

With "Grenade," Bruno Mars further distances himself from his smoove-crooning contemporaries, and he does it simply by being real. Really dramatic, really emotional, really clever. This one's a winner, even if, at the end of it, Mars has lost everything. That's the price you pay for falling in love.

Kanye West Pushed For 'More Douche Bag' On 'Runaway,' Pusha T Recalls

Clipse MC breaks down the making of the Yeezy track on 'RapFix Live.'

Sometimes, there is a certain element that can take a song to another level, and according to Pusha T, Kanye West had a very specific idea about the secret ingredient needed to make "Runaway" a memorable track. The G.O.O.D. Music MC recently revealed to MTV News that 'Ye was adamant about packing as many "douche bags" into their collaboration as possible.

"I'm writing a verse, and I come back to the table, and it's something that I'm feeling, and he's like, 'Naw, but I need more douche bag.' And I'm like, 'All right, man, c'mon.' So I go back, and he's like, 'Naw, more douche bag!' He's screaming at me 'more douche bag' at this point," Push said during his "RapFix Live" interview Thursday (November 18) about crafting the douche-bag-toasting standout from 'Ye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. "I just really had to, like, take myself out of it a little bit and then put ... the perspective of the guy ... who thinks he can fix it, but he's not being preventative."

Push said the song developed organically but that Yeezy had unexpectedly stumbled upon a subject the Clipse MC was very familiar with: the art of douche-baggery.

"It starts from a conversation. We're talking, and he's like, 'I like your perspective on that. Put a verse to that.' What he didn't know was [that] I was going through my own relationship turmoil at the time," Push revealed. "I was being a douche bag," he said, adding, vaguely, that he was doing "whatever wrong you can do" in a relationship.

Although the concept arose naturally enough, Push said 'Ye was relentless about making the final product just right.

"I've never worked with anybody like him," Push said. "He just pushes you and pushes you and pushes you. With 'Runaway,' I think I wrote that four times."

While Yeezy lab sessions had their moments of intensity, Push said developing a partnership with the G.O.O.D. Music impresario easily grew out of an excursion to West's tropical outpost.

"It started from a three-day trip to Hawaii," he said of becoming a part of the G.O.O.D. Music fold. "It was supposed to be a three-day trip, [and] it ended up being a month, just collaborating on his album. The 'Runaway' song was done, a couple of the G.O.O.D. Friday joints were done. 'So Appalled' was done. It was just a vibe thing. We got in there, and we just started vibing."

Push said Yeezy was also confident that joining forces with the Virginia spitter would be a partnership with the potential to shut down the game — or at least the 2010 MTV VMA stage, where the pair premiered the record.

"He was just [like], 'You know we about to kill this, right? It's about to be a real problem. This is gonna be, like, one of the biggest moments right now,' " Push remembered. "He was like, 'C'mon, the record's crazy, I'm debuting it here. When people see us together, we about to shock. We about to hurt some people.' "

What do you think a recording session with Kanye West would be like? Let us know in the comments!

Chris Brown continues to score praise as he completes the terms of his probation for his much-publicized assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

On Thursday (November 18), the singer attended a progress-report hearing in Los Angeles, which was live-streamed by TMZ, in which Judge Patricia Schnegg lavished praise on the "Deuces" crooner.

"Of all probationers I've ever had, and I've had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have," Schnegg said. "And I really want to commend you for taking responsibility, and for actually working diligently to complete all of the things the court has required of you."

Judge Schnegg also remarked that Brown has finished 581 hours of community labor and only has seven more domestic-violence counseling sessions to complete. Brown has another hearing scheduled for January 28 for what Schnegg called one of the last times she plans to see him in court.

"You've done a very good job," Schnegg said of Brown's progress. Schnegg's praise is consistent with other hearings in which the singer has received a positive progress assessment.

Brown, wearing a striped cardigan and dark tie, was mostly silent throughout the brief hearing, nodding occasionally at Schnegg's comments.

Under the terms of Brown's five-year probation sentence in 2009, the singer is responsible for 180 days of community labor and required to attend domestic-violence counseling for up to one year. He was also issued a stay-away order by the judge that bars him from communicating or associating with Rihanna.

Brown's career has been going well since his last August hearing as well. The singer's Tyga-assisted collabo "Deuces" topped the charts, and he premiered the dance-driven video for the club-friendly record "Yeah 3X."

Weezer Rehearse Long And Hard For 'RJ Berger' Cameo

'We're going to put the music thing aside for a couple years,' drummer Pat Wilson jokes after shooting scenes for MTV comedy.
By James Montgomery

Weezer's Brian Bell
Photo: MTV News

At this point in their career, Weezer have the whole acting thing down pat. So much so that they don't even need to see a script. Of course, that's mainly because they usually don't have any lines.

" 'Keep Fishin' ' was probably our acting debut, but we didn't speak any lines in it," guitarist Brian Bell said of their music video with the Muppets.

"Actually, in [the video for] 'Buddy Holly,' I said, 'Thanks, Al,' " drummer/guitarist Pat Wilson laughed. "And we've done all kinds of stuff, like 'Beverly Hills, 90210,' some 'Melrose Place,' old-school, but legit, really."

So basically, they're old pros, and it's probably why they weren't sweating their cameo on a season-two episode of MTV's "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," which they filmed on Monday in Los Angeles. Either that or the fact that all they had to do that day was get up onstage and play a couple of songs — Pinkerton fave "El Scorcho" and current Hurley single "Hang On" — which, really, doesn't require all that much in the way of acting.

But, truth be told, their "Hard Times" guest appearance means a little more to the guys, because of a rather interesting connection between the band and the show.

"Well, they named the high school 'Pinkerton.' The creators of the show, I guess, were fans of ours, and called the high school Pinkerton," Bell explained. "And when we found out about that, it caught our interest about the show in general ... and now we're here playing."

And really, Weezer are liking this gig so much that they're seriously considering switching careers. After all, being in a band is hard work. Acting isn't.

"It feels great to be on an actual show," Wilson said. "We're pretty much going to put the music thing aside for a couple years and go with this."

Pusha T Promises Next Clipse LP Is 'Gonna Be Mean'

Now that the Clipse's Pusha T is a part of the G.O.O.D. Music family as a solo artist, the pressure to deliver as a group appears to have subsided.

The Virginia Beach MC and his brother Malice have long railed against record labels for freedom when it comes to their Clipse projects, blaming execs for stalling on release dates and handcuffing them creatively. But for the next Brothers Thornton LP, Pusha said the duo's music will be as dark and uncompromising as ever.

"I can say that it's gonna strictly be for the Clipse purist," Push told Sway during an appearance on "RapFix Live" on Thursday (November 18). We're throwing around a title. But it's gonna be mean, for sure. We're doing the album that we wanna do."

Their last album, Til the Casket Drops, was released last year to much critical acclaim in the same vein as their past efforts. The Neptunes protégés have long served their rabid fanbase with their sharp lyricism, flush production and paranoid tales of drug dealing.

Throughout the years, however, the rappers were known more for raging against the system than reaching the heights that their potential promises; since their debut in 2002, they've only released three albums.

For their next album, however, which Push joked would be called Demon Night, the Clipse want to outdo themselves.

"This is just [going to be] the hardest album ever," he said of the collection set to follow his G.O.O.D. Music solo offering. "That's what we like. We like street music. We like hardcore rap. Now, if something happens to work for the masses within that — thumbs up, that's a plus. But the Clipse, we have a cult following that we know what they like, and it's all about catering to them. Anybody else, you can hop on the train. But this [album] is for Clipse fans."

Music-wise, it's been a pretty stellar year for "Saturday Night Live," with memorable sets from Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Arcade Fire.

But things will heat up even more in December, when the venerable weekend sketch show rounds out the year with a trio of heavy-hitting host/performer pairings. The most anticipated will be the December 18 show, which The Hollywood Reporter reported will feature five-time musical guest Eminem performing the song "No Love" alongside Lil Wayne, who will be making his second appearance on the show.

As of right now, the slot will be Weezy's first major TV performance since his release from prison earlier this month.

The host that night will be "Tron Legacy" and "True Grit" star Jeff Bridges, who last hosted the show 27 years ago with his brother, fellow actor Beau Bridges, marking the longest gap between hosting duties in the show's history.

Paul Rudd will make his second tour of duty as host December 11 to promote "How Do You Know," on a night when Paul McCartney will take the "SNL" stage for the third time.

And coming up on December 4 will be third-time host Robert De Niro and Diddy-Dirty Money, appearing to promote the trio's long-delayed Last Train to Paris disc. De Niro will be promoting "Little Fockers," which is due December 22.

This Saturday's show will be hosted by Anne Hathaway, with musical guest Florence and the Machine.

Since news of Tony Parker and Eva Longoria's divorce lit up headlines Wednesday, speculation about the collapse of their union has exploded, fueled by rumors that Parker's alleged infidelity may have played a part.

On Thursday (November 18), the San Antonio Spurs player released a statement addressing one rumor: that he didn't know Longoria was going to legally end their marriage.

"Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately," he said in a statement issued by his rep to People. "I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles."

Parker also maintained that he had not lawyered up or filed any documents of his own.

"I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California," he says. "We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private."

Longoria and Parker split after seven years together amid whispers that the athlete had been unfaithful. A source told TMZ that the actress is "devastated."

Despite his personal turmoil, Parker addressed the media before heading out onto the court Wednesday night.

"This is a difficult time right now for me and Eva," he told reporters before the Spurs' game against the Chicago Bulls, according to San Antonio news station KENS 5. "Everything else is our private life."

Parker also added, "I'm getting great support from teammates and coaches. Right now, I just want to concentrate 100 percent on winning basketball games with the Spurs."

When Jeremih returned with his sophomore effort All About You, the "Birthday Sex" singer wanted the set to feel familiar to fans and echo the notes he struck on his debut. Now, for his latest single "Down on Me," Jeremih wants the video to match the song's sultry feel.

"The song itself is definitely for the clubs. We wanted to keep it real sexy for the ladies," he told MTV News. "As an artist, there's nothing like hearing your record in the club. The visual, we wanted to make sure when you see the video in the club, it portrays that message. So we got a lot of sexy ladies, kept it classy. ... It's going down."

50 Cent lends his vocals to the track, and the G-Unit boss reiterated Jeremih's claims.

"It's a pleasure to hear great music after you finished in the studio," he explained. "Then you use your imagination and wonder how people are gonna embrace it.

"Me, I got a different approach," the rapper continued. "I'll be like, 'Ah, man, when n---as hear this, they gonna be sick. I'm back, baby!' "

"Down on Me" is Jeremih's second single from All About You, following the slow-burning "I Like." The new song received a boost from 50 spoofing the track during an appearance on Chelsea Hander's late-night show; the rapper appeared with YouTube star Keenan Cahill and lampooned the song in a bit that became a viral hit.

Emma Watson Felt 'Schizophrenic' Shooting 'Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows'

'I was hanging in rags when we finished shooting,' actress says of making last two films.

The shoot for both "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" films stretched on for almost a year and a half, and the entire time Emma Watson was crisscrossing the Atlantic playing two very different parts.

In London's Leavesden Studios, she was Hermione Granger, teen witch. In Providence, Rhode Island, she was just another Brown University student with a massive, Ivy League workload. And slipping in and out of each of these roles was no easy task.

"Sometimes, I just felt schizophrenic," the 20-year-old told MTV News. "I would be filming in my breaks, and I would come back into this college life and try and get my head into that. Sometimes it was really hard."

That's not simply because the shoot was the longest in the franchise's history. The film required her most mature performance to date, as Hermione, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ron (Rupert Grint) leave the familiar confines of Hogwarts and set out on a journey in which the trio's complicated dynamic presents as many problems as their quest to defeat evil Lord Voldemort. The three friends are, for the first time, faced with very adult issues — romantic jealousy, existential motivation — that carry far more weight in the real world than they ever could have during their school days. Capturing those conflicting emotions was a grueling challenge for Watson.

"It was exhausting in the sense we were doing back-to-back," she explained. "It was exhausting in the sense it was the most demanding emotionally, physically, just in every way. It was very intense, and I was hanging in rags when we finished shooting. But it's the best so far, so it was worth it."

And as schizophrenic as she felt at times, Watson found she could always rely on one thing to carry her though: her studies. "Generally, I find it really stabilizing that I have — whatever is going on with 'Potter,' whether I'm filming or whatever — I always have this constant thing in my life, which is my education," she said. "I find it very grounding."

Bristol Palin Apologizes For Facebook Drama

'Willow and I shouldn't have reacted to negative comments about our family,' she writes after lobbing insults at another user.
By Mawuse Ziegbe

Like her mother, Bristol Palin has become a divisive figure for American voters.

Although, for the younger Palin, it's not her political views, but her footwork on "Dancing With the Stars" that has riled up viewers casting their ballots for who will take the crown on the ABC hit. The family has also come under increased scrutiny after the TLC show "Sarah Palin's Alaska" hit airwaves, and the criticism caused Bristol and another Palin lady to sound off against critics.

Bristol's younger sister Willow lobbed an anti-gay slur at a Facebook user who trashed the reality-show premiere Sunday night, writing, "Tre stfu. Your such a f----t." Bristol also jumped in the fray with, "You're running your mouth just to talk sh--"

Days later, however, Bristol took to her Facebook page to apologize for the volley of e-barbs.

"Willow and I shouldn't have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize," read a message posted on her page Wednesday. "On a nicer note, thank you for supporting the great competition in 'Dancing With the Stars.' "

Hours after the contrite missive was released, the ballroom-dance novice, whose prolonged stay on "Dancing" has become a heated topic of debate among watchers, rallied her fans and blasted her detractors.

"Thank you supporters who continue to support," she wrote. "The haters are already pulling out all the stops this week to destroy."

As one of the final three celebrities vying for the "Dancing" title, Bristol will hoof it alongside Disney star Kyle Massey and "Dirty Dancing" actress Jennifer Grey, who turned in two perfect-scoring performances on Monday.

Although Bristol earned a 53/60 score, the judges conceded the 20-year-old single mom has grown a significant amount over the season.

"I still think you've come so far," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said.

Joe Budden Credits Eminem With Slaughterhouse's Detroit Love

New Jersey MC says Em 'is just one of the most supportive hip-hop people that I've met.'

At the Detroit stops of Jay-Z and Eminem's Home and Home Tour, there was undeniable crowd support for another hip-hop crew: rap supergroup Slaughterhouse. The team's New Jersey representative Joe Budden credits a lot of the Midwest love not only to group member and Detroit native Royce Da 5'9", but also to the support the collective has received from Motor City megastar Eminem.

"We get a lot of support out there in the D," Budden told MTV News. "I attribute a lot of it to just Royce and Em."

Budden said that, despite Eminem's superstar status, he still has love for the purest elements of the hip-hop art form. The Mood Muzik spitter said Slaughterhouse stand for those same rap essentials, which endears the foursome to the hip-hop luminary.

"Em, to be as successful as he is, and I'll just tell this to anybody with two ears, or one ear for that matter, is just one of the most supportive hip-hop people that I've met," he said. "He's really, really just into hip-hop and rap and lyrics. He's just really into all of the things that group was built around."

Although Eminem and the Slaughterhouse crew see eye-to-eye creatively, bringing Budden, Royce, Crooked I and Joell Ortiz into the Shady fold has been an ongoing saga. Earlier this year, Ortiz spoke with MTV News about finalizing a deal with Em.

"We in the ninth inning of it, we just keep changing pitchers," the Brooklyn MC said in May. "I don't know, man — it's a lot of hold-ups. I thought on my end I was straight, but I wasn't. We're going back and forth with the people I'm working with. Joe [Budden] had some issues or whatever. The interest is still there. Everybody is excited about it; it's just a lot of people involved in this. Four artists, four separate managers, label situations — a lot of black and white that gotta get settled for it to happen, but verbally, we're on Shady! Eminem is excited, the whole group is excited. The world is excited. I can't even do a show without somebody asking that. Without them being, 'You ripped it, what's up with Em?' Everybody is waiting on this, so it's going to happen. It's going to happen."

Daniel Radcliffe Felt 'Great Responsibility' During 'Deathly Hallows'

'We're not in school ... so we automatically feel more adult,' he tells MTV News of the three leads.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Remember those long-ago days in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" when the young boy wizard first entered the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? The time Harry and Ron became best buds on the train out of King's Cross? How Harry and Hermione first clashed as Gryffindor housemates before eventually bonding?

What a difference a decade makes. The first part of "Deathly Hallows," based on J.K. Rowling's seventh book in the series, finds the three friends far from the safety and supervision of Hogwarts, fitfully bidding goodbye to their adolescent lives and embracing adulthood. Portraying that tricky transition, Daniel Radcliffe told MTV News, is exactly what makes this film "very special," setting it apart from previous installments.

"We're not in school, we're not in school uniforms, so it's harder to see us as schoolkids, so we automatically feel more adult," he said. "It was kind of great to have that responsibility."

Yet the 21-year-old is quick to add that he and his castmates didn't feel overwhelmed by the pressure of having the success or failure of the movie rest entirely on their young shoulders. "One day we'd be doing maybe a scene with just me and Emma or just myself and Rupert," Radcliffe explained. "But later, we'd be doing the wedding scene with everybody. That's one pressure we didn't feel, was that we were carrying the movie, which we kind of are when you see it. For a lot of it, it is just us three."

The Brit actor also credits director David Yates with shooting their scenes and piecing them together in such a way that the kids' journey — in which they travel through the wilderness in a quest to destroy a magically evil Horcrux — never feels repetitive.

"That's what's great about David as a storyteller," Radcliffe said. "Those long periods of the film where we just keep operating and waking up in a forest — while those could have felt quite same-y, the journey of the film means each time that happens, it takes on a different tone."
