LAS VEGAS — The recently freed rapper hit the stage for the time since his release as he joined Drake during the finale of his "Light Dreams and Nightmares" tour on Saturday.

Drake teased the appearance throughout his set, telling fans about his first phone call with Lil Wayne since the Cash Money superstar left prison and later asking fans to fill in the words for Wayne's verse in "Right Above It."

But then Lil Wayne stormed the stage midway through "Miss Me" causing the capacity crowd to erupt in cheers.

"I was gone 'til November, but I didn't trip cause I know he was gonna get 'em," Wayne rapped, tweaking his lyrcs and pointing to Drake.

Wayne wore black jeans, white sneakers, a black skully hat and was shirtless as he stopped after his performance to address the audience.

"I'm back," he said. "It feels good to be back. If you love me like I love you, please make some motherf---ing noise."

The Young Money/Cash Money camp was also on stage, as the Birdman, Mack Maine, Tyga, and company stood to the left of the stage when Wayne arrived.

Drake told the audience he was completely unaware of Weezy's plans to perform during his set.

"Weezy's home," Drake said, excitedly. "We back!"

"I'm fresh home from my vacation and ain't nothing, nothing, nothing like home," Wayne said.

The buffer-than-usual star left after the one song.

Drake continued on with his set, while Wayne, Birdman, and the rest of the crew celebrated in the elevator on the way back stage. He later left the venue before the show ended. The crowd cheered throughout the rest of Drake's set and chanted "Weezy" over and over again as the lights dimmed and the Toronto lyricist ended his set.

Earlier in his set, Drake told the audience about his first conversation with Wayne since his was released from Rikers Island earlier this week.

"Yesterday, I was at the hotel. I got this call from a number I never seen in my life. I picked it up. All I hear was, 'Yo', " Drake said, imitating Wayne's voice. "I said, I got a new number, who the f--k is this? And I heard was, it's Weezy."

"And I said, man," Drake continued. "It is great to hear your voice on a regular line."

Lil Wayne has been welcomed home by fans and his inner circle alike in recent days, and one of the MC's most successful protégés, Nicki Minaj, said Wayne is understandably amped with his prison bid behind him.

"He's doing well, he's in great spirits. He's always upbeat," Minaj recently told DJ Skee of Los Angeles' 102.7 KIIS FM. "I'll see him on Sunday, I cannot wait. I just can't wait to ... hug him and stuff."

Of course, Sunday will be the man of the hour at a major bash at Miami gentleman's club King of Diamonds, which Young Money head Mack Maine has promised will be "real elegant" and "extravagant."

Since Wayne was locked up while Minaj crafted her forthcoming major-label debut, Pink Friday, the Young Money general wasn't able to put his signature touch on the record. However, the hip-hop diva said she's gonna try to haul Weezy into the studio to crank out some revamps of Friday cuts.

"I think that he's gonna be doing a remix. As he was in jail, he wasn't on Pink Friday, he's not on Pink Friday. So I will definitely want to get his little butt in the studio to do a remix right away," she said.

As far as having Weezy physically back in the YMCMB fold, especially with her Friday drop date nearing, and Drake winding down his Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour, Minaj said the timing for the crew's music domination is just right.

"We couldn't have planned a better takeover," she gushed. "Young Money, Cash Money, I'm really proud of my team right now. Really, really proud."

British singer Lily Allen has been hospitalized for treatment of a blood condition, days after enduring her second miscarriage.

"Lily Allen is back in hospital, where she is being treated for septicaemia," her rep told U.K. publication the Daily Mail on Saturday (November 6) "She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve."

Septicaemia also known as Septicemia, is a dangerous infection characterized by the presence of bacteria in the blood. It can be brought on by other infections in the body, such as conditions in the abdomen, lungs and urinary tract.

The condition has occurred just days after the singer confirmed she had suffered a second miscarriage after losing a child in 2008.

"It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby," her rep Murray Chalmers said Monday, according to People.com. "The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made."

Allen and Cooper, who owns a building company, have been dating since July 2009. The couple announced the pregnancy in August after getting the all-clear from her doctor following her first trimester. The pair was expecting a son.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time Allen has endured a miscarriage. The singer lost her first child with her then boyfriend, Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers, two years ago.

On Friday, the singer expressed her gratitude for all the well-wishes she had been receiving from fans during this difficult time.

"Thank you for all your kind messages," Allen tweeted.

Leave your get-well wishes for Allen below.

Lil' Kim Throws Jabs At Nicki Minaj Again

MC goes after Young Money diva at Queens nightclub.

The saga between Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj continues.

The Brooklyn MC took shots at the Young Money Barbie during a nightclub appearance on Friday in Minaj's home borough of Queens.

"I got more love from Queens than this bitch do!" Kim bellows in video footage that hit the Web. "I will erase this bitch's social security number. First of all, I don't even need a record right now, I'll kill that bitch with my old sh--!"

Then Kim, rocking a midriff-baring top and engulfed by fans wielding cameras, commanded the DJ to drop some of her memorable bangers, including "The Jump Off," "No Time," and her Ray J collabo "Wait a Minute." Toward the end of the footage, Kim insists she's not rattled by any other up-and-comers.

"I don't never let nothing take me off my grind. As always, steady mobbin'," she said. "Money over these bum-ass bitches."

Although Kim doesn't mention Minaj by name in the footage, the rap divas' rocky relationship has been well documented. The "No Matter What They Say" spitter has consistently accused Minaj of jacking her style and failing to respectfully acknowledge the hip-hop veteran.

"Here's my thing, all females that come in the game, we need to stick together, and I always try my best to embrace them," Kim said in a June radio interview. "But what happens is, when they come in the game and they realize that I'm not going away and my fans are still here and they can't just step on me, they get upset and then they'd don't want to be my friend anymore. I think that's really childish and stupid. Because all I ask for is respect, and I show the same respect back. Pay homage, at the end of the day a lot of things go on behind the scenes that people don't know about. It will be aired out, because you can't hide the truth."

Minaj has largely remained quiet on the matter, however, a lyric on her recently released Eminem collabo "Roman's Revenge," might have reignited Kim's fury.

"Word, that bitch mad 'cause I took the spot? Well, bitch, if you ain't sh------, then get off the pot/ Got some n----- out in Brooklyn that'll off your top," Minaj rhymes. However, the Queens lyricist has denied that the track's vitriol is directed at any femcee in particular.

"I'm talking about everyone who has been in interviews talking," Minaj told DJ Khaled during a recent radio interview. "No one is worth having their name mentioned out of my mouth and they never will get that. But you know, I've been quiet for such a long time, I've been the nice guy, I've been the person that gave everybody their props. I complemented everybody from day one and I think that as a rapper, you can't be a rapper and not speak on things being said about you. So, I use my music to say what I have to say."

Miley Cyrus Wants Family 'To Be Together' For 18th Birthday

'I think we need time to all be together,' teen star tells MTV News before Sunday's MTV EMA performance.

MADRID — On Thursday, minutes after rehearsing her performance for Sunday night's MTV Europe Music Awards, Miley Cyrus sat down with MTV News to discuss her plans, both for the big show (think lots of "angels and demons") and another, equally big event: her upcoming 18th birthday.

Given all of the hullabaloo that's been raised in the 24 hours since she sat down with us — Cyrus may have been photographed drinking underage in a Madrid nightclub — we figured that her 18th birthday was sort of newsworthy ... since, well, the legal drinking age in Spain is 18 and all.

And while Miley didn't tell us where she'd be celebrating her 18th (it's November 23 in case you wanted to send a card), she did mention that she hopes her whole family will be with her for the big day, something that's equally newsworthy, given everything that's been going on with her parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, in recent weeks.

"I'm not going to go crazy; [just] have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family ... because that would be really cool. I think we need time to all be together," she said. "So that would be rad if we could all go to the beach or something. ... [I have] no idea [where we're going]; somewhere near water. I'm a water baby; I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat."

Of course, there are plenty of boats in Spain, but we'd be willing to bet she won't be spending her 18th birthday here or in any other Spanish-speaking country, for that matter, because if there's one thing we've learned from chatting with her during EMA weekend, it's that Spanish most definitely is not her first language, nor her second or third, really.

"I failed Spanish," she laughed. "I'm really, really bad at it. It's not really the words; it's the pronunciation that's the hard part."

How do you think Miley should celebrate her 18th birthday? Tell us your ideas in the comments!

The 2010 EMAs will air on MTV2 on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

Lil Wayne Gets Love From New Orleans Rap Artists

Local duo Partners-N-Crime recall when Wayne hooked them up with a free feature.

Before he was conquering the mainstream music world, Lil Wayne was engrossed in the local New Orleans hip-hop scene, and making a name for himself as a member of the then bourgeoning Cash Money army. Today, Weezy is a hip-hop phenomenon, pushing units and influencing culture with his peerless swagger. Despite his outsize fame, local hip-hop stars have said that Wayne still shows love to the artists of his hometown where it all began.

Just days after Weezy's release from prison, MTV News trekked to New Orleans and caught up with local duo Partners-N-Crime, who stayed on the hip-hop grind with Wayne and onetime battle MC, Mack Maine, now president of Young Money. The rappers recall knowing Wayne as artists on a rival hip-hop roster.

"When we was coming up in the game, Wayne was a little bit younger than us. We was on a label by the name of Big Boy Records, at the time, and he was with Cash Money Records. And really, to be honest with you, both of the labels kinda had a little rivalry thing going on" Kango Slim said. The label, which was once home to fellow New Orleans hip-hop veteran Mystikal, maintained a competitive relationship with the Cash Money camp.

"At one time, we all never did look eye-to-eye to each other 'cause it was kinda like a problem between both of the labels," he said. "But as we grew older, things [began] to change, we began to [gel] with each other more and become more of a friendship."

Mista Meana said that after Cash Money, which began to dominate the hip-hop charts with bass-heavy offerings from spitters like Juvenile and B.G., hit big, the drama between the labels calmed down and Wayne reached out to the Partners to team up on a track.

"Once Wayne got kinda on, we did a song with Wayne called 'We Do What We Want To,' which was on our last album, called We Are Legends, [2009]" he said. The MC recalled that the track hinted at the rock and roll vibe Wayne would champion in his later music.

"We call it rock-hop 'cause it's a hip-hop song with a rock twist to it and Wayne did it. It was kinda right before he started doing the Rebirth and that kind of music, pretty much," he added. "He did that song with us and the relationship been good pretty much from that point. Much love for Wayne, [we're] happy he home."

The MCs are glad to see Wayne as free man today, but they were also amped a few years ago when Wayne looked out for his hometown homies.

"Wayne came back after he had done blew off with the Cash Money thing, reached back to us and told us, 'If y'all had a song for me to do ... I'm a do it,' " Kango Slim said. "He did just what he said, and from then on we've just been friends ever since and making things happen."

The MCs also reflected on one of the perks of being down with Wayne: a hometown discount.

"At that time, that's when Wayne was charging $30,000 for a feature," Mista Meana added. "Big shouts out to Wayne for the love on that because he saved us 30 grand and gave us a hot feature."

30 Seconds To Mars Say EMAs Give Fans Chance To 'Unite'

'It inspired the community to work together,' Jared Leto says of Sunday's awards show.
By James Montgomery

MADRID30 Seconds to Mars arrived in Spain late Friday night with an army of video editors in tow (to finish their much-anticipated "Hurricane" video) and with their egos firmly in check.

Because despite the fact that, a) they're nominated for three awards at the 2010 Europe Music Awards (Best Rock, Video of the Year and Best World Stage Performance), b) they already won the award for Best Rock Video at the VMAs in September, c) they're performing during the show at Madrid's iconic Puerta de Alcala and d) they've actively been campaigning their Echelon fans to vote them to victory, 30 STM aren't sure what to expect at the EMAs on Sunday. And, actually, winning is pretty low on their list.

"We're just happy to be here," Jared Leto laughed.

We suspect Leto was just being modest, because thanks to the power of the Echelon — their worldwide fan community — 30 Seconds to Mars have got to be the favorites in at least one EMA category. MTV News' EMA correspondent Gabe Saporta pressed them on the issue: Surely, they're expecting to win something, right?

Of course, being the unflappable pros they are, Leto and co. didn't take the bait. To them, it truly is an honor just to be nominated. Of course, they wouldn't mind winning.

"One of the great things about being nominated is that it does give the Echelon around the world a chance to gather together and unite for a common cause, and it's really a lot about fun and having a good-spirited time," Leto said. "And winning is great, because it gives us a chance to say 'Thank you' to the people that have supported and believed in us, but the greatest thing is the way that it inspired the community and everybody to work together."

The 2010 EMAs will air on MTV2 on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

The animated superhero comedy "Megamind" ruled the box office opening day. Boasting voice-over contributions from Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt, who was happy to lay off the makeup and wardrobe for his latest role, the movie opened in first place with $12.5 million.

"Megamind," a tale of a villain looking to flex his evil skills, barely inched ahead of "Due Date" for the #1 spot, with the Dreamworks offering fending off the Zach Galifianakis and Robert Downey Jr. comedy with just a $300,000 lead. The latest from "Hangover" director Todd Phillips raked in $12.2 million in Friday box-office sales.

Debuting in third place is the all-star drama "For Colored Girls." Tyler Perry's screen adaptation of the landmark 1975 Ntozake Shange stage production "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf" arrived in theaters with $7.4 million. Featuring a diverse ensemble, which includes Thandie Newton, Kimberly Elise, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, Janet Jackson, Tessa Thompson and Whoopi Goldberg, the film's stars say the movie is "a great statement on sisterhood and community."

The torture thriller "Saw 3D" continued to scare up ticket sales after its big Halloween-weekend debut. The latest installment in the horror franchise took the fourth-place slot at the Friday box office, picking up about $2.6 million. Friday's number tips the film's total haul to around $33 million.

The assassin, action flick "Red" kicked off the weekend in fifth place. Heavy on firepower and fiery performances from Hollywood veterans Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich, the film scored $2.5 million. The Friday figure bumps the film's total tally to roughly $65 million.
