Rick Ross is in the moment. He's reflective and he's planning for the future — all on his new LP, Teflon Don, due July 20.

Ricky Rozay has his lineup more stacked than the Miami Heat, with Jay-Z ("Free Mason"), Diddy and Trey Songz ("No. 1"), and Kanye West ("Live Fast, Die Young") in the rotation. But it's Ross' continued progression as an MC, the Carol City native's refusal to let his rhyme skills be overshadowed, that really makes you take notice. As for the beat selection, it remains on par with 2009's sonically superb Deeper Than Rap, with the Bawse using soulful instrumentation and club thumps to blanket his words.

No I.D. gets shouted out for his beat on "Tears of Joy," which co-stars Cee-Lo. It's church-like and soul-stirring as Cee-Lo goes to his roots with vocals worthy of a pastor's pulpit.

"To all the loved ones I leave behind/ At least they can't see my crying," Cee-Lo sings. "And I ask, but someone wants to be me, why?/ Done everything but ease my mind/ If you could read my mind/ My God, I'm scarred/ I got tears of joy."

"Last night, I cried tears of joy," Ross raps on the record. "What did I do to deserve this?"

" 'Tears of Joy,' that's a very strong possibility [to be a single]," Ross told MTV News. "That's the record I've never done, [that] I've never recorded. It's gonna be most definitely real strong. The way I wrote the record, it's so emotional. I rhyme four bars then I gotta catch my thoughts. I start back rhyming, I say something I feel is incredible then I stop again. I start back up then I start again. I got records that I have no ad-libs on; I'm trying a lot of different things. I'm just excited, man."

"Biggie Smalls in the flesh, living life after my death," Ross later adds on "Tears of Joy," before addressing his court battle with DJ Vlad, resolved earlier this year.

"Five different lawyers, Lord knows I'm stressed / A punch in the face will get you 300K/ Ask Vlad, now he's back to making minimum wage/ Another victim of my criminal ways/ I wanna walk in the image Christ/ But that bitch Vivica nice."

Kanye West appears on and produced "Live Fast, Die Young." "Most definitely!" Ross told us in May. "It's gonna be most definitely a club banger, but it has that edge to it. That's how 'Ye loves to make music, he loves to take it to the edge. That's where we went with it. It makes you feel like if you had that one record the rest of your life to play, that's it right here. It's really gonna make you feel good. We both talk about seeing the pitfalls in our rearview [mirror]. It's a feel-good record."

T.I., Erykah Badu and Jadakiss all line up beside Ross on "Maybach Music 3," while Gucci Mane jumps on an extended version of the club banger "M.C. Hammer" and Raphael Saadiq lends his vocals to the last song on the album, "All the Money in the World."

"It's funny man, the name of the record he's on is called 'All the Money in the World.' It's a record talking about how I wouldn't trade my fundamentals for all the money in the world. I talked about people that's no longer here: my father, a few of my friends. I talked about if I could see them again, what would I do? It was almost to that fact that I'll sing for you. That's what I did on the record."

"Turn off the lights," Ross and Saadiq sing together. "Take a ride with me/ I wanna see you smile/ It's a fantasy/ La, la, la, la."

"Just to have Raphael Saadiq hold me down — 'It Never Rains in Southern California,' Tony! Toni!, Toné!. To do something once again that I never thought I'd do, [sing], that was the furthest thing from my mind. To continue to raise the bar, song after song, I had to do that."

Lady Gaga Fans Camp Out For Days For 'Today' Performance

NEW YORK — When Derrek Lutz's family kicked him out of his house for being homosexual, it was Lady Gaga who helped him cope.

"My family told me that I was a freak," said Lutz, 18, from North Cape May, New Jersey. "My whole life was turned upside down, but Gaga made me so comfortable to be myself and dress the way I do, and now I don't care what anyone thinks."

That's why on Thursday night, Lutz joined thousands of other fans in the scorching heat to stand in line outside of Rockefeller Plaza to see Gaga's "Today" show performance early Friday morning (July 9).

For Lutz, like many of the fans who spoke to MTV News, it was an opportunity to see a woman whose music inspired them and, in some cases, deeply affected their lives.

"She makes me so happy to be myself, she makes me love myself," Lutz said.

The free concert was especially significant to fans who couldn't afford to buy tickets to her on-going Monster Ball tour.

"We can't afford real tickets, and we're such big Lady Gaga fans, we had to be here to see her," said Joshua Rivera, 19, from Towaco, New Jersey, who arrived at Rockefeller Plaza two days early so he could be the first person in line.

"I'm literally running on energy," Josh said, adding that he hadn't slept since he got there.

Felicia Giunta, 19, from Long Island, New York, had already seen Gaga at Madison Square Garden earlier in the week, but that didn't stop her from camping out for "Today."

"I look up to her so much," said Felicia, an aspiring dancer. "After I get cut, she's the first one on my iPod, and it inspires me to keep going."

Lutz caught up with MTV after the show and said the overnight wait was well worth it.

"I wanted to cry. It was amazing. It was beautiful," Lutz said after Gaga's rain-drenched performance. "Everyone around me was screaming and I just had my eyes closed. I was just taking it all in."

How long would you wait in line to see Lady Gaga? Talk about it in the comments.

Jay-Z Slams Spirituality Accusations On Rick Ross' 'Free Mason'

'I said I was amazing/ Not that I'm a Mason,' Jay raps on Ross' upcoming Teflon Don LP.

Jay-Z takes aim at all those who have questioned his spirituality on the new Rick Ross song "Free Mason". At the top of the year, while on New York radio, Jay dismissed rumors that he was a member of the illuminati, worshiped the devil and had Satanic images in the video for "On to the Next One".

"I got a lot of money," Hov told Power 105.1 radio host Ed Lover on January 13. "When people get a lot of money, they start getting those rumors, like Tom Cruise, Willie Smith. That's ridiculous."

On "Free Mason," which is a play off the rumors that Jay is a Freemason, Hov shoots back.

"N---as couldn't do nothing with me, they put the devil on me," Jay raps. "I would have preferred n---as squeeze the metal on me/ Rumors of Lucifer, I don't know who to trust/ The whole world wants my demise, turn the music up.

"If y'all n---as fear me, just say y'all fear me," he adds. "F--- all these fairy tales/ Go to hell, this is God engineering/ ... I said I was amazing/ Not that I'm a Mason .../ I'm on my third six, but a devil I'm not. ..."

John Legend, who appeared on Ross' last LP, Deeper Than Rap, via "Magnificent," is also on the track. He harmonizes on the song and sings toward the end.

"Never let it be said I didn't win," he sings. "Never say Legend didn't go in/ I just want to die on the top of the world/ Making love to my favorite girl."

But Ricky Rozay bats leadoff on his record. He starts off saying he'll die before being viewed as punk.

"All-white mansion, I'm the child of God/ All black diamonds, times were hard/ New Rolls-Royce, guess you made it n---a/ All-white neighborhood, you their favorite n---a/ My top back like JFK/ They wanna push my top back like JFK."

"I was a roadie on the Blueprint 3 tour for a few dates," Ross said in May of how the song came about. "It started off in St. Louis. I was just messing with everybody, kicking it with everybody, letting Jay hear my ideas and concepts. When you get the deluxe version of this album, we documented when I played the record. I played the track and my first verse," Ross recalled. "I put in the PS3 behind the stage.

"Played it, [Jay] listened to it," he continued. "We played it, backed it up, played it again. Played it, backed it up, played it again. Backed it up, and he spit his verse. It's gonna be magic for people to see Jay do his 'Rain [Man]' when he's rubbing his head, like he pulling his rhymes outta his mind. Just to see somebody come up with a verse that potent in less than two or three minutes ... 'cause it was just a snippet. The beat may have played for a minute and a half and started over," a process Ross says was repeated a few times as Jay composed. "He had his 16, an idea for the chorus. Trey Songz, all of us standing around in awe."

Ross' Teflon Don arrives on July 20.

Lil Wayne Dropping New EP In September

Lil Wayne isn't due to be released from Rikers until November at the earliest, but his co-manager says spankin' new music from Weezy may be available by September. While Tha Carter IV isn't expected to hit stores anytime soon, Cortez Bryant, who also serves as CEO of Young Money, said that fans should be able to check out a new Weezy EP by the fall.

"I'm putting out a [Wayne EP] called I'm Not a Human Being and I'll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27," Bryant told Vibe.com. Bryant said the EP won't have the fanfare of a high-profile major-label release and revealed that he's opting instead for a more low-key way to get the music to the masses. "We're not about to roll out no three-month setup. I'm not even putting it out in stores," said Bryant. "We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give 'em a hard copy later for fan appreciation," Bryant said of the release, which is billed as a prelude to Tha Carter IV.

Wayne is approximately halfway through his yearlong sentence and may be released early on good behavior. While the Human Being EP may satisfy fans until the star is back on the scene, Weezy protégé Nicki Minaj — who has kept in touch with Wayne throughout his sentence — said that he's probably going to head back into the game with an arsenal of new material.

"I know when he comes out, it's gonna be a problem, 'cause he's one of those people that needs to get out his thoughts," Minaj told MTV News. "So I would imagine he would probably be in the studio for 60 days straight. He'll probably do three albums the day he comes home."

Fat Joe also recently paid a visit to the incarcerated star, and said Wayne is in a different headspace as a result of getting clean in the clink. "I tell you one thing, him not being high made me realize how much funnier he is. This guy has jokes," Fat Joe told MTV News. "We were up in there for four hours, just telling jokes, dying laughing, falling on the floor."

Angelina Jolie Says Her New Tattoo Is 'For Brad'

It's safe to say Angelina Jolie is as well known for the details of her personal life as she is for her work as a Hollywood actress. Occasionally, however, those two aspects collide, like when her onscreen characters sport some of her real-life tattoos. And Jolie's penchant for ink has been well-documented, both in the tabloids that follow her closely and in her big-screen appearances. But observant fans recently spotted some new work when Vanity Fair ran a cover story on the A-List star.

MTV News caught up with the star this week in Washington, D.C., where Jolie was promoting "Salt," and we had to ask about the tattoo. But the actress was tight-lipped about what the ink, on her inner thigh, actually said.

"Um, it's for Brad," Jolie demurred with a smile.

She was more open, she said, when it comes to her personal life.

"I actually think it's important to be completely honest, however difficult that may be," Jolie told us about what makes a relationship successful. "I'm bad at hiding secrets anyway," she added.

While we won't speculate on the content of her latest tattoo (that's what the zoom feature on Photoshop is for), the balance of Jolie's tattoos more or less chronicle her romantic history, and offer some insight into her philosophies about love and life. On her shoulder, for instance, is a Buddhist Pali incantation that offers such wisdom as "if you acquire riches, may they remain yours always," and on her hip is a Latin inscription: "quod me nutrit me destruit," which translates to "what nourishes me, destroys me."

Jolie also revealed that her partner, Pitt, had yet to see the action flick, which opens July 23.

"He hasn't seen the movie," she said. "Maybe he'll question me after he sees it," she joked of playing a string of wives-with-secrets. Jolie admitted she couldn't be sure how her choice in roles might affect their offscreen relationship. But she was sure Pitt would enjoy "Salt."

"Oh, of course," Jolie said. "He was there for the shooting and he would come to set and he'd seen some of the stunt sequences and stuff. He thinks it looks cool and all of that, but he hasn't seen the whole thing. He'll see it at the premiere."

Lil Wayne's 'Nino Brown Story 3' Screens In New York

NEW YORK — For Lil Wayne, you have to do it big. On Thursday night in New York City, DJ Scoob Doo unveiled his DVD "The Nino Brown Story 3" for friends, the press and a few members of the Young Money family.

This is no ordinary street DVD that you just drop off at the mixtape shop. "Nino 3" is an event worthy of a screening. And if you thought you saw Wayne unfettered in the first two, the third "Nino" installment will surprise you.

One of the film's highlights is Wayne's reaction to Drake when he hears a verse from "Over" for the first time. In the scene, the two are freestyling in front of a green screen on the set of Drizzy's "Miss Me" video.

" 'Bout to go Thriller, Mike Jackson on these n---as," Drake raps. "All I need's a f---ing red jacket with some zippers/ Super good smiddoke, a package of the swishers."

"Stop," Wayne yells in admiration, as if to say Drake's line was too good.

"I did it overnight, it couldn't happen any quicker," Drake continues. "Y'all know them? Well, f--- it, me either/ But point the biggest skeptic out, I'll make him a believer/ It wouldn't' be the first time I done it/ Throwin' hundreds when I should be throwin' ones."

Wayne, with a smile on his face yells, "Stop! You should be throwing ones, man."

"He believed in me like no one believed in me," Drake says later in the doc, describing how his mentor put him down with the team shortly after his run on "Degrassi: The Next Generation" was over and his money started drying up. The 23 year-old adds that Wayne understood him when almost no one else did.

"For that I owe you my life," Drake affirms.

"It's just a short 'see you later,' " he says about Wayne's jail time. "I love you with all my heart. ... Young Money until they kill me. I bet they can't kill me, so it's Young Money forever."

The doc goes from Young Money to even younger money, as we see Wayne meeting Justin Bieber backstage at this year's Grammy Awards. The 16-year-old tells Wayne he's one of his favorite rappers, and to prove it, the teen spits a verse from "A Milli," censoring himself so he doesn't have to curse on camera.

"Nino 3" also takes viewers into Wayne's Miami mansion, where we see he doesn't wear any of the same clothes twice. He shows off his sports memorabilia collection, his Andy Warhol gem and his BB gun.

"The Nino Brown Story 3" comes out this summer and will be available on DJScoobDoo.com and other outlets. And Scoob already has footage for the next DVD.

" 'Nino Brown 4' will be Tha Carter IV," Scoob promises. "You get to see Wayne making the album."

LeBron James' announcement that he's taking his formidable skills to the Miami Heat has prompted many in the hip-hip community to voice their opinions via Twitter.

When news of the NBA star's decision to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the southern team hit, a few hip-hop tweeters were downright shocked. CNN's Noreaga typed, "Lebron Dang man!!!" Detroit MC Big Sean tweeted "Miami?!!" and seemed a trifle upset that 'Bron decided against staying in the Midwest, adding "should of went to the bulls."

But Ohio hip-hop stars like Bow Wow had nothing but e-love for James. "People kill me hating on somebody making decisions to better THEY life," Bow Wow typed. "Let them millions be in yo face You'll go to Singapore and play GNR." Before 'Bron's official announcement, Bow Weezy did admit to feeling conflicted about James ditching the Cavs, tweeting, "Let's face it man. I don't want him to leave Ohio. But that's what we are about to see." However, the fellow Ohio-to-Miami transplant did appear ready to welcome the NBA MVP to the MIA and tweeted a picture of himself looking over the Miami skyline, with the message "Ay @kingjames Can't get views like this no where but ..."

Hi-Tek, Cincinnati producer and half of Reflection Eternal, also showed the baller support and tweeted, "Lebron I wish u the best!! #OHIOLOVE." The beatmaster couldn't resist a dig at the New Jersey Nets (a team that will eventually move to Brooklyn, New York), which was rumored to be courting the basketball superstar and typed, "BREAKIn NEWS! All bulldozers just pulled away from Brooklyn Nets Stadium! Lol." Hi-Tek even defended James against the widely publicized written tirade that embittered Cavs boss Dan Gilbert unleashed last night. "Wow! After hearing what CAVS owner said about Bron, I wish him even more success," Hi-Tek tweeted. "Pimp the game! don't let it pimp you!"

Other hip-hop stars tweeted about the impact the new Miami Heat, with powerhouse players Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and now James, will have. Cali MC Jay Rock mulled the dynamics of a Lakers-Heat match-up and tweeted, "KOBE IN THE GYM RIGHT NOW GETTING READY 4 [for] THIS 3 HEADED MONSTER IN MIAMI." Fellow Cali rapper Game said that the star-studded Heat might prompt other basketball followers to step their game up. Game tweeted that Miami ladies "are in the gym right now getting that body tight for the NBA season. SMH #futureBasketballWives." Virginia crooner Trey Songz tweeted that the amount of talent on the Miami team is unfair: "That's cheating all dem [players] on one team."

Fans of the Heat seemed pleased that their team is packing major star power. DJ Khaled, who goes hard for his city both on and off Twitter, typed "MIAMI HEAT!!!! WE THE BEST!! All WE do is win!!"

Lindsay Lohan's Courtroom Notes Hit The Internet

Actress took meticulous notes during probation violation hearing.

Lindsay Lohan might be looking for a new lawyer in the wake of attorney Shawn Chapman Holley quitting her case following Tuesday's probation hearing, in which the actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days in an inpatient rehab facility.

But in the wake of the fingernail-expletive scandal that broke on Wednesday, photos have emerged showing that Lohan wrote a lot more than a profane message during the daylong hearing. Close-up images of a sheet of notebook paper Lohan held up over her face during the hearing revealed that the "Mean Girls" star was taking meticulous notes in Judge Marsha Revel's Beverly Hills courtroom on Tuesday, mostly laying out her explanations for missing a series of alcohol education classes.

Lohan held the notepad up to her to cover her face as photographers tried to get images of her, revealing very neat lines of writing in red ink that filled up half a page.

"Dad's sitting behind Liana," it says near the top of the page, after some housekeeping notes on the date, time and location of the hearing. "Those are her bullet so-called bullet fr ... scheduled class for April 15, 2010 ... Beryl indicates LL [Lindsay Lohan] has an excused ... August 17, 2009 ... which has stated LL being more/progressively complaint."

Later, she refers to a court date on January 2 of this year as a "face to face ... But D.A. doesn't have it/but Shawn does!," and then notes that one of the absences marked by the alcohol-education program was due to her "signature on the wrong 'sign sheet' line (mistake)," noting that another one from February was marked as missed because she was only supposed to have a one-on-one session, not a group class. She notes a November class was missed, but made up one day later.

Other notes refer to her attending four weeks of classes in a row in December, another mix-up with a probation officer about a court order, and a class she missed because of work travel to London for a Haiti benefit and fundraiser that included press. Lohan is scheduled to report to jail on July 20 and is expected to serve approximately 25 percent of her sentence or, assuming good behavior, around 23 days.

NEW YORK — The heat wave was still lingering in the city, but that didn't stop devoted Lady Gaga fans from getting decked out in their most inspired looks before waiting overnight in Rockefeller Plaza to see their idol perform for the "Today" show on Friday morning (July 9). From a sea of blond wigs to dangerously high heels, the Gaga footprint was everywhere.

Some fans rocked styles straight from her music videos as a tribute to the pop princess. Others took a cue from Gaga's unique sense of style to put together original eye-catching outfits.

"Telephone" seemed to be the biggest inspiration of the night. MTV News caught sight of fans who had soda-can rollers tucked in their hair and glasses made out of fake cigarettes as a nod to Gaga's looks in the video. Some "little monsters" wore lacy leggings and studded tops, and many wrapped yellow caution tape around themselves.

Then there were the fans who got even more creative. One woman bought a strapless dress and adorned it with yellow flowers, while another used a piece of pleather to make an outfit.

A lot of fans also relied on great accessories. A young woman wearing a short, bright-red jumpsuit glued metallic rocks onto the side of her sunglasses, and her look was so Gaga-like that many fans stopped her for pictures.

Hundreds of fans, who were perhaps not as gifted with time or sewing skills, threw on body and face paint and made special T-shirts and posters in preparation for Gaga's show.

To get a taste of the many attention-grabbing looks in Gaga's "Today" show audience, check out the flipbook!

Which Lady Gaga would you re-create and wear if time and skill were no matter? Talk about it in the comments.

Sam Worthington Talks 'Clash Of The Titans' Sequel, 3-D

Posted: 09 Jul 2010 05:53 AM PDT

'Today an audience demands a lot more from its 3-D, and they're going to keep demanding more,' actor says about 'Clash' sequel.
By Todd Gilchrist

Sam Worthington
Photo: MTV News

Less than two years ago, Sam Worthington was being touted as Hollywood's next big star, thanks to high-profile roles in movies like "Terminator: Salvation," "Clash of the Titans" and, of course, James Cameron's long-awaited comeback, "Avatar." Now that those movies have introduced him to audiences, however, it's time to see if it's the actor or just his projects that brings people out to the theater.

During a recent conversation at Radical Studios, where he also discussed his Full Clip Productions comic book imprint, he offered a hint about what he'd like to take on in the forthcoming sequel to "Clash of the Titans."

"I want the Minotaur maze," he said when asked which myth or monster he'd most like to see brought to life in the follow-up. "That's it, simple. I reckon that would be a damn cool sequence."

"Clash of the Titans" was released in March of this year and earned almost $500 million worldwide, due not only to Worthington's increasingly ubiquitous presence but also the post-production conversion of the film from 2-D to 3-D. It was also that last-minute box-office-driven change that netted the film some harsh reviews, although Worthington said that the sequel would fix that problem by starting production in 3-D rather than implementing it as an afterthought.

"When we do 'Clash 2,' I think we're going to shoot it in 3-D," Worthington said. "That's the smartest way to do it, you know? I could see what Warner Bros. was doing by converting it — they went for it and they tried to accommodate an audience. But today an audience demands a lot more from its 3-D, and they're going to keep demanding more."

Since the overwhelming success of "Avatar," advanced 3-D technology has enabled filmmakers launching their projects to capitalize creatively on Cameron's foundation and push their efforts even further. Worthington indicated that neither "Clash 2" nor a potential "Avatar 2" would move forward without a clear and comprehensive strategy for moving the technology and its eventual presentation even further.

"With something like 'Clash 2,' we're going to have to try and push the envelope to get the audience back in," Worthington said. "It's the same with 'Avatar 2' — Jim isn't going to start on that unless he knows how to push it a bit further. And that's the whole point: These audiences demand more, and it's our job as filmmakers or storytellers to keep giving them what they want."

Mel Gibson's Rant Posted Online

Actor can be heard hurling profanities and a racial epithet at ex-girlfriend in audio recording posted by RadarOnline.com.

A taped recording of the controversial Mel Gibson rant was posted online Friday (July 9). The actor's voice can be heard hurling a racial epithet at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva in an audio recording posted on celebrity news site RadarOnline.com.

During the profanity-riddled, two-minute tape, Gibson repeatedly refers to Grigorieva as a whore and chastises her for dressing too provocatively. As the actor grows increasingly angry, his voice rising, he invokes the N-word, telling her that only she would be to blame if she were to be raped.

"You look like a f---ing bitch [in] heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n-----s, it will be your fault," Gibson says. "You provoked it. You are provocatively dressed all the time."

The website reported that Grigorieva claimed to have been recording Gibson because she was afraid he might cause her some harm. Gibson can also be heard accusing Grigorieva of lying to him about having breast implants.

"They just look stupid," Gibson is heard saying. "Keep them if you want. ... They look like some Vegas bitch, a Vegas whore."

The Associated Press reported that Gibson and Grigorieva, who have a child together, have been engaged in a bitter custody dispute over their daughter.

RadarOnline.com began publishing excerpts of the phone conversation last week, but had not made audio available. Grigorieva told the website she made about 30 minutes worth of recordings of Gibson before they broke up in April.

The founder and executive vice-president of RadarOnline.com, David Perel, told the AP that the site had verified that it was in fact Gibson speaking on the recording. Perel doesn't explain, however, how they obtained the tape, but does add that the website didn't pay for the recording.

"We felt it was so newsworthy and so explosive, we simply had to report what we heard," Perel said.

'Breaking Dawn' To Film In Louisiana And Vancouver

"Breaking Dawn" will be filmed in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Vancouver, Canada, Summit Entertainment announced on Friday (July 9). Split into two separate films but being shot simultaneously, the production will ramp up in the fall and continue over the next year. No exact start date for filming was given.

The first film will be released on November 18, 2011. No official release date for the second part has been set, but as a Summit exec told MTV News this week, the studio is exploring multiple dates in 2012, both in the summer and later that year.

Many other questions remain about "Breaking Dawn," the most intriguing of which is the 3-D question: Will it be shot using 3-D cameras or converted to 3-D during post-production? Summit tells MTV News that such discussions are currently under way, but that no decision has yet been made. Much of the cast is onboard with the 3-D idea, including Kristen Stewart.

"I'm probably speaking out of line or whatever, but I think it would be awesome," she told MTV News. "Nobody knows what it's like to look through the eyes of a vampire. What if [Bella] opens her eyes to this extraordinary world? It could be cool."

Bill Condon ("Dreamgirls") will direct both parts of "Breaking Dawn," taking over for "Eclipse" director David Slade. Pattinson and the rest of the cast wrapped production on "Eclipse" at the end of October 2009, which means that when the stars show up on-set for "Breaking Dawn," about a year will have passed since they slipped into their respective roles as vampires and werewolves.

Lindsay Lohan 'Is Still A Train Wreck,' Perez Hilton Says

'You would think she would learn her lessons by now, but she clearly hasn't,' gossip blogger shares.

Despite remaining relatively low-key since Tuesday's sentencing, it may be too little too late for Lindsay Lohan, according to one opinionated gossip blogger.

Perez Hilton says that unlike many starlets who have seen their fair share of trouble with the law over the last few years, Lohan seems to be the only one who can't keep herself out of trouble. And while she's managed to avoid the club scene all week, instead opting to hang out with Kim Kardashian at home and go to an art store with her family, according to E! Online, Hilton says that now is the time for Lohan to give up her "train wreck" ways.

"Right after she was forced to wear that alcohol-monitoring bracelet [earlier this year], she did cut back on the partying a little bit, for about a week or a week and half," Hilton told MTV News. "But even after having the alcohol-monitoring bracelet placed on her, Lindsay continued to go out and party repeatedly."

Case in point was only this past June when Lohan walked the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards. "Lindsay even showed up to the MTV Movie Awards. Was it necessary for her to go to that? No! Was she promoting any movie? No! Why was she there?" Hilton wondered about the star, who he has previously suggested has been sentenced fairly for her crime.

And while he questions her behavior, he wonders if she can follow in the "clean up your act" footsteps taken by some of her peers.

"A lot of the things Lindsay's done [over the years] just make you want to scratch your head. You would think she would learn her lessons by now, but she clearly hasn't," Hilton said. "You look back on the year 2007 when Lindsay got into major trouble — which resulted in all the recent trouble — back in 2007 both Paris Hilton and Britney Spears were also kind of out of control. [But now] they have their acts together. They've matured and grown up. Lindsay, on the other hand, is still a train wreck."

Fat Joe Calls Sexual-Assault Allegations 'Shocking'

'It's one of the worst things you could have your name affiliated with,' MC says of allegations.
By Shaheem Reid

Fat Joe said that when he was accused of sexual assault, it was one of the "ugliest" things anyone could have said about him.

Last month, Joe and members of his crew were questioned by police after a woman claimed to be inappropriately touched while in Joe's limo in Madison, Wisconsin. A spokesperson for the Madison police confirmed to MTV News on Friday (July 9) that the complaint against Joe has been withdrawn.

"What happens is, you know its ugly," Joe told MTV News earlier this week. "It's one of the worst things you could have your name affiliated with. There was a young lady and she was talking to my man. But I never even said hello to the girl. Nothing. Next thing I know, cops was knocking on my [hotel] door."

Joe says he was astonished when he learned of the allegations.

"I was like, 'This is shocking to me,' " he recalled. "It was an ugly case. The girl said somebody fondled her. I was like, 'This is like magic, 'cause I don't know what y'all talking about.' I got back [to New York], it was a rumor, 'Oh, he talked to cops.' That's ugly. But I know it would be cleared. It got cleared the next day. It's disgusting to get your name dragged through the mud for something like that. I didn't even say hello. I had no contact with this person. It was crazy."

Joe added that no one in his circle questioned his innocence.

"They already knew. The texts I was getting, the people was like, 'Yo, my man. We know better than this.' I didn't have nobody like, 'Really?' "

'American Idol' Top 10 Begin 'Beautiful Day' With 'Good Morning America'

With their signs and banners eagerly clutched in their hands, fans marched into Central Park to see "American Idol" season-nine winner Lee DeWyze and runner-up Crystal Bowersox chat with Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos about "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" before two 12-year-old girls competed and a guy who looked like Santa's older brother competed in an "Idol" trivia quiz. And also to see all of the top 10 Idols perform for the "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series on Friday (July 9).

Crystal was the first one to perform, singing Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" while strumming her guitar, of course. She did the song justice despite the slight spray of rain.

Next up was Lee, again with a guitar, awaiting his time to shine amid the continuing showers. The crowd shouted their love for him, as he responded to their makeshift banners, wishing happy birthdays and anniversaries.

Asked about the life-changing experience of winning "Idol," he said it was "important to remember where you came from" and managed to plug the October release of his upcoming album. He then performed "Treat Her Like a Lady" by the Cornelius Brothers, to which the audience reacted with more enthusiasm and excitement.

Then all of the top 10 took the stage and the band began the riff for Bon Jovi's "It's My Life." The guys gave their best for the rousing anthem, before the girls took over with "My Life Would Suck Without You" by Kelly Clarkson. The rain seemed to bring down the energy of some, Lee in particular, who almost seemed bored at times. But as all 10 sang the song as an ensemble, they gave it a powerful finish.

Before the last song, Lee, Andrew Garcia and Michael Lynche began to beat box and rap for the slightly drenched crowd. But instead of capping off the set with another group performance, Lee went solo for his single, "Beautiful Day" — and fans didn't seem to mind the irony of the bad weather.

Actually, as one fan told MTV News, there's more than one reason to consider it a beautiful day. "It was great to see the American Idols on stage together, and the rain was nice, as it has been so hot!"

'Breaking Dawn' Won't Be Rated R, Summit Promises

'I can't say for a fact, but I just don't see us getting into an R-rated area,' studio's distribution chief tells MTV News.

In the "Twilight" universe, there are levelheaded questions — will "Breaking Dawn" be in 3-D? — and then are the improbable, yet intriguing, ones. Among the more puzzling queries is whether, based on the many scream-inducing elements of its source material, "Breaking Dawn," will draw an R rating instead of the usual, Twi-approved PG-13.

It's hard to imagine Summit Entertainment making a "Twilight" movie that would require its tween-heavy audience to convince adults to buy them movie tickets, but the idea nonetheless remains a topic of discussion in the blogosphere. So we decided to put the question to Summit. While the studio acknowledges that discussions about an R rating are definitely taking place ("By all means," said distribution chief Richie Fay), the studio remains committed to its tried-and-true PG-13.

"I don't see it ever becoming an R-rated movie," Fay told MTV News. "The middle road we have to travel is a mutual respect as to staying true to the book but not turning off your audience.

"It's always with the eye of making Stephenie Meyer happy and making the audience happy," he added. "I can't say for a fact, but I just don't see us getting into an R-rated area with any of the 'Twilight' titles."

That sentiment jibes with what "Breaking Dawn" scribe Melissa Rosenberg has been saying for a while.

"In this series, you don't sacrifice anything," she said in April. "There are some movies that wouldn't play at PG-13, like 'The Hangover,' but this is just not one of them for me. Again, if you're capturing character, emotion and emotional journey, you're OK."

Do you think an R-rated "Breaking Dawn" would make for better movies? Let us know what you think in the comments.

Big Boi Wanted To 'Seek And Destroy' On Sir Lucious Left Foot

'I'm an MC, first and foremost,' the Outkast rapper tells MTV News of evolution from 2003's solo Speakerboxxx.

Big Boi's Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty is billed as the Outkast rapper's proper solo debut, but the Atlanta MC actually released a solo collection years ago, if you count his and Andre 3000's double disc Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.

The 2003 project was divided into solo sets from Big and Dre, and both rappers scored number-one hits from their respective albums. Still, while Big had technically recorded that collection on his own, he says his approach to this year's Sir Lucious Left Foot was distinctly different because instead of releasing an LP that was an extension of the Outkast sound, this time, it was all about showcasing the Atlanta MC's lyrical ability.

"With Speakerboxxx, it was more so, just for that time," Big Boi told MTV News.

"That's where I was at in that time. Each album is like a time capsule, so it captures your life from the last time they heard you. With Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, we were coming off of Stankonia. Some time had passed and that's where I was at musically, as an artist. I wanted to express my life in those particular ways. I talked a lot about relationships; I was going through a lot of different things. With this record right here, it was more seek and destroy. I'm an MC, first and foremost."

Big Boi explained that with the array of projects he currently has his hands in — from movies to developing new talent — listeners should be careful to not forget his foundation.

"What people got to remember is that I'm Big Boi from Outkast," he said.

Justin Bieber's fans love him. They love his music, his hair and, well, everything about the 16-year-old teen sensation. And as much as he's expressed his devotion back to them from the stage, on Twitter and in interviews, the dedicated teen and tween girls who watch his every move would certainly like to get a little closer to him.

MTV News caught up with fans outside Bieber's show at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, to find out the lengths they would go to meet the one and only Canadian pop star, and the answers were surprisingly varied and detailed.

"I would do anything. I would tackle anyone for him. I love that kid," on fan shared. Her friend added fearlessly, "I would tackle his bodyguard."

Another young fan said, "If I was in the front row then I would probably go onstage, and I wouldn't care if security grabbed me."

Some girls were more innocent with their plans to meet Bieber — "I would run up on stage and kiss him" — and others got more creative: "I would make a video of me and put it on YouTube, like, 5,000 times," one fan said.

And then there were the more stalker-ish schemes. "I would break my leg! I don't know," one girl suggested.

"I would do anything. I would jump off the top of that building," was another dangerous idea.

"I was thinking of climbing that curtain and going down it to see him," one teen confessed, "but I didn't want to get in trouble."

R&B megastar Usher will release an extension of his latest hit album, Raymond v. Raymond, on August 24. The album, entitled Versus, features eight new songs, including the Pitbull collaboration "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love," which recently premiered on the singer's website. In addition to Versus, Usher will also put out Raymond v. Raymond (The Deluxe Edition) on the same day. The deluxe edition of the crooner's chart-topping album will include all the tracks from Versus and the original version of Raymond v. Raymond.

The singer's latest album took the top spot on the Billboard albums chart when it debuted earlier this year, moving more than 300,000 copies during its first week of release. Before Raymond dropped, the hit-making heartthrob told MTV News that the album held special significance for him.

"This album means so much to my career," Usher said. "I think this is the one time where I'm able to put it all in, emotionally and the good times — super-freaky and then also super-emotional. Raymond v. Raymond, artistically, is one of my greatest pieces of work, not only just because of the content but also the people whom I got involved in it: T.I., Will.I.Am, Puff, Nicki Minaj."

Usher has also proven he has an eye for talent with the breakout success of teen protégé Justin Bieber. Drawing from his history of cranking out R&B and pop smashes, Usher recognized early on that the Beeb's talent extends beyond his pipes.

"I felt like his voice was incredible. I feel he was very charismatic, and that's what it takes to be able to handle what this is," Usher told MTV News. "It's the ability to turn it on and understand, but it was a very real ability. It was actually just him."

Basketball fans around the country reacted strongly when LeBron James finally dropped the news last night that he was signing with the Miami Heat after frenzied speculation about the NBA MVP's next move. Hip-hop's basketball fans took to Twitter in droves to vent, lament and crack jokes about King James' decision.

Teflon Don Rick Ross tweeted "Miami the spotlight of the world!!!!!" which was later re-tweeted by fellow Miami MC Trina. "Pretty Boy Swag" rapper Soulja Boy Tell'em offered a simple Twitter message about the 'Bron hubbub, tweeting "Lebron James Swag." Even glitzy '90s rapper MC Hammer enthusiastically chimed in with "LeBron signs with the HEAT !!!!"

Diddy, like many New Yorkers, had been hoping James would come to Gotham and wrote on his Twitter page, "Lebron will sign with the knicks! Yea I said it!" But an hour later, the party-startin' mogul seemed at peace with 'Bron's finale choice and tweeted, "ok i can handle Miami!!! its my second home!!!! lets go!!!!!!" Queens MC Q-Tip approved of James' choice and typed on Friday (July 9), "I think @kingjames made the right decision."

Rumors had been swirling that James would possibly go to a Chicago, New York or New Jersey team, so not everyone was geeked about 'Bron heading down south. "Miami???!!!! nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ?uestlove of the Roots said in an impassioned tweet.

Some MCs offered their sympathies to fans of James' former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. D.C. MC Wale, who called the MVP's choice earlier in the night, tweeting, "Miami...I bet," followed up his prediction an hour later with a comforting note for Cleveland: "Seriously feel bad for cavs fans." Ludacris offered something a little stronger for Cavs fans, tweeting, "Conjure [cognac] is on deck in Cleveland just in case anybody feel like gettin f---ed up tonight."

Others typed their thoughts about how James' move would affect the Heat. Dallas rapper Dorrough tweeted, "LeBron James and DeWayne Wade is Like Jordan and Kobe on the same team. I dont think its gon work." ATL songstress Ciara tweeted "Looks [like] Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets next year!" likely referencing a possible showdown between Miami and Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony.

As fans eagerly anticipated James' announcement last night, one artist took the opportunity to mine some humor out of the situation. Brooklyn MC Fabolous, who is known for his punchy one-liners, started the trending topic #JustOfferedLebron, which resulted in tweets like, "The Nets #JustOfferedLebron a Best of Both Worlds 3 album wit JayZ if he signs," and "BP #JustOfferedLebron free gas for life if he continues to take all the attention off the oil spill."
