Taylor Lautner's Werewolf Grows Up In 'Breaking Dawn'

Eventually, all werewolves have to grow up. Jacob learns that lesson during the finale of the "Twilight" series, "Breaking Dawn," and as it turns out, the man behind Jacob, Taylor Lautner, has been learning the same lesson each and every day.

MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with Lautner while he was promoting the penultimate "Twilight" release, set to hit theaters Friday. Lautner said the Jacob we see in "Breaking Dawn" is a whole other type of animal. "It was really exciting for me, because Jacob in this movie is very different than he ever has been, so I was a little nervous. I was excited," he said.

For Lautner, "Breaking Dawn" was a chance for each of the film's characters to show a different side, but he admitted that he struggled particularly with Jacob.

"It's really amazing to see all of the characters, really, in a different light than you've ever seen them before," Lautner said. "But Jacob was a challenge in this movie, being pulled in two totally different directions and kind of being the middle man. He has to make a decision: which side are you going to choose?"

In "Breaking Dawn," Jacob must decide between his loyalties to Bella and her unborn vampire child and his wolf pack, a very adult decision for a teenage werewolf to make. Lautner himself still has his moments of immaturity but said it's all part of the bigger picture.

"I have my kid-fun moments, I guess, but I would say it's a good mixture. I don't think you've ever found exactly who you are," he said. "I'm always continuing to grow and learn more about myself each and every day, so I can definitely relate to that."

Justin Bieber Paternity Suit Dropped?

Reports indicate Mariah Yeater has dropped her paternity claim.
By Gil Kaufman

Justin Bieber won't have to take a paternity test after all. Less than two weeks after a California woman claimed that the "Baby" singer had fathered a child with her last year following a brief backstage tryst, TMZ is reporting that lawyers for accuser Mariah Yeater quietly dropped the suit last week.

In fact, the gossip site is adding that not only has the paternity case been withdrawn, but lawyers Lance Rogers and Matt Pare have quit representing Yeater entirely.

Bieber's camp had vigorously denied the claim from the moment Yeater launched the paternity action earlier this month. Yeater claimed in a signed affidavit in the suit that she had unprotected sex with Bieber last October in a backstage area at one of the singer's concerts at Los Angeles' Staples Center and that her four-month-old baby is his.

Last week, Bieber's camp confirmed that the 17-year-old singer would take a paternity test as soon as he returns from a European promotional jaunt in celebration of his just-released Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe.

"I can confirm that the team has proactively made arrangements for Justin to be tested upon his return and we're going to hold everyone who is involved responsible," Bieber spokesperson Matthew Hiltzik said in a statement. "It's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims," Hiltzik added. "We'll vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin and to hold those involved with bringing this suit accountable for their actions." It is unclear if Bieber's camp will still pursue a lawsuit over the bogus claims.

Hiltzik could not be reached for confirmation at press time; MTV News also could not reach Yeater's lawyers at press time.

Adele Feeling 'Positive' After Throat Surgery

Adele is on the road to recovery after her recent throat surgery. The British singer posted a note to fans on Monday in which she gave them an update on the procedure to remove a benign polyp from her vocal cords.

"Sorry I haven't written for a while. Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes," she wrote. "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."

Last week the doctors who performed the procedure gave an update on the surgery. "Adele underwent vocal cord microsurgery by Dr. Steven Zeitels to stop recurrent vocal cord hemorrhage (bleeding) from a benign polyp," read a statement from Massachusetts General Hospital, where the surgery took place. "This condition is typically the result of unstable blood vessels in the vocal cord that can rupture. Based on the advice of her doctor and voice therapist in the United Kingdom, Adele came to Boston to consult and undergo corrective voice surgery with Dr. Zeitels, the Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center. ... Dr. Zeitels expects Adele to make a full recovery from her laser microsurgery."

The surgery used special lasers to stop the vocal cord bleeding and has successfully been performed on other singers in the past, including Aerosmith's Steven Tyler in 2006. It came after the "Rolling in the Deep" singer scrapped all her remaining 2011 performances and appearances on doctor's orders.

The vocal problems were the latest hiccup in the 23-year-old singer's plans to tour the U.S., which were previously derailed when she had to call off a string of gigs due to a bout of laryngitis.

While fans won't be able to catch Adele live anytime soon, they can check out her first live concert film, "Live at Royal Albert Hall," which hits stores on November 29. The nearly 90-minute event focuses on her singing, eschewing the typical backstage vignettes, interviews with fans and confessional moments.

It was no surprise that the athlete was sent home on Tuesday night's "Dancing With the Stars."

Hope Solo -- whose partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, has been going head-to-head with the judges all season -- was the lowest scorer from Monday night, and the soccer star was sent packing.

"This competition is one of the toughest competitions I've ever been a part of," Hope said. "Instead of trying to win a mirror-ball trophy, I'm going to try to win a gold medal this summer at the Olympics."

Her partner then told her, "I'm sorry. I wish I could have done better for you. But it is what it is."

The night before, the Olympian had failed to channel her sexy the way the judges had been chiding her to do all season long. Her first-round performance was the paso doble, and the judges gave her a paltry 21/30, saying it was too aggressive. Her second dance was a tango, and they said she improved, but not by much. She earned 24/30.

The final three is now set for a good showdown next week. Former talk-show hostess Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough, war veteran J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff and reality-TV star Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke will all duke it out next week.

Nick Jonas Dishes On Writing For Demi Lovato, Charice

Jonas Brother says channeling female perspective is a 'challenge.'
By Jocelyn Vena

It wasn't too hard for Nick Jonas to write for Quaker Chewy Superstar Search winner, 14-year-old Gabrielle Giguere: The Jonas Brother has a lot of experience digging around inside the female brain.

Long before he hit the studio with Giguere this year, he had already received killer production and writing credits for some of his A-list peers. So, what's it like to have to think like a girl? "I think my first experience with that was working with Demi [Lovato] on her record," Jonas recalled to MTV News. "We were a big part of her first record, [Don't Forget,] and helping craft that. And I was a part of her second, [Here We Go Again,] as well."

When the 19-year-old has to channel his feminine side, he simply asks the artist herself about the experiences she has been going through and tries to encapsulate them in a song. "It was really cool to be able to speak with [Demi] about what she was going through in her life and craft a song for the setting," he said of his role as producer/writer. "And I really enjoyed that and having done a lot of writing and producing for other people this year like Charice ['One Day'] and others. It was great to get that mindset and take on that challenge."

The transition to working with a smaller artist like Giguere wasn't too difficult for Jonas, given the way he works. For him, it's all about tailoring each recording session to the artist. "In my experience, I try and work specifically with the vocalist and try to figure out how they work and what their process is and get the best result from them by learning them first," he said. "We had the time to do that, and I feel like we came up with a really great-sounding song [with 'My Time']."

For now, though, Jonas might have to let other artists' projects take the backseat as he focuses on his own, including a nearly six-month-long run as the lead in Broadway's "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," as well as work on the next Jonas Brothers album.

Does Nick Jonas do a good job getting in touch with his feminine side? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Kim Kardashian Is 'Brilliant,' Chelsea Settles Says

'She's focused, and she has this confidence,' MTV reality star gushes.
By Jocelyn Vena

Chelsea Settles

Chelsea Settles kicked off her self-titled MTV reality show praising another reality starlet: the ubiquitous Kim Kardashian. It seems that the 24-year-old admires Kim's drive, which has established her as an unstoppable small-screen brand. And, despite any criticisms one might have for the E! star, Settles has only the highest praise for her.

"She's brilliant! The entire family is brilliant," she gushed to MTV News. "She's about her business, and she's really driven, and she's focused, and she has this confidence, and she's just ... amazing."

Settles credits a gene that the entire Kardashian clan possesses. "It's not just Kim; it's baby Mason, the whole clan, everyone," she said. "I was surprised [by the divorce news] but she has a strong family and a good support system, so I know she'll get through it. She just maybe needs to take some time away from the cameras, hide out. She can come to my house: We have room."

First, Settles might have to clear that guest with her roommate, Jenna. On this week's episode, her L.A. roomie used some tough love to try to help the aspiring fashionista get out of the house and on the social scene. Her social life — or, rather, lack thereof — is something Chelsea struggles with on the series, and this particular confrontation with Jenna was especially hard-hitting given a traumatizing club outing in the show's first episode.

"I've never had a roommate before, so it was hard getting used to living with another person, but Jenna was great. She really took me under her wing," she said. "It was hard for me to embrace all that, because she is so open and bubbly and I love her, but at that point, I was like, 'Is it genuine? What's really going on here?'

"It's her trying to get me to break out of my shell more and wanting to hang out with her friends, and I don't really do that, obviously. We see where that got me in the first episode. It was hard for me to go through that again."

Chelsea is well aware of the how down she seems at times on the show, so she hopes that fans will be able to see more sides of her before the season ends. "[I'd love to see] some fun! Fun and enough of the tears and just me coming into my own and gaining some confidence," she said, laughing. "It is brutal watching these first couple episodes; it is really hard."

Don't miss the next episode of "Chelsea Settles," airing Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET/PT (10 Central) on MTV.

'Breaking Dawn' Bridal Gown 'Moved' Kristen Stewart

Of all the big reveals in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" that don't involve the words "sex" and "scene," fans are dying to see Bella's wedding dress.

It's been one of the most closely guarded film secrets in recent memory, and rightly so, according to author Stephenie Meyer, who told us the key ingredient to the wedding scene was Kristen Stewart looking "gorgeous" and "unbelievable" in that dress. Thankfully, come Friday, the secret will officially be out.

MTV News was lucky enough to get a few details about said dress from legendary fashion designer Carolina Herrera at the film's premiere Monday night, as she led us through the process for how she ended up with the coveted task. "I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding," Herrera said. "I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it's a big scene for me."

Herrera said she loves the romance and the idea of true love as depicted in the book and that she was happy to be a part of such a magical scene. She also spoke to the importance and delicacy in designing wedding dresses in general.

"Wedding dresses are different, because you have to know that it's the most important day in the life of a woman," she said. "You have to please the bride first of all, and it has to be a secret. I cannot talk about the dress before the groom sees it. I treated [Kristen Stewart's Bella] like every other bride," she admitted. "I think [Stewart] was very moved when she tried it on. And that means a lot, because she felt that it was the right one."

Given her pleasant experience with the film's wedding dress, might Herrera consider designing something for Stewart in real life? "Why not? If she asked me, absolutely," Herrera said with a smile, but added that Stewart doesn't need to by styled by anyone. "She knows exactly what she wants to wear. ... You can wear anything at21. You don't need any advice. When you are Kristen Stewart, you can wear whatever you want."

'Mirror Mirror' Trailer: Five Key Elements

Posted: 15 Nov 2011 04:32 AM PST

Sneak peek shows us a sassy Julia Roberts, a vibrant Lily Collins and a princely Armie Hammer.
By Kara Warner

Boy, oh, boy, has this been a great couple of weeks for trailer debuts! First, Kristen Stewart kicked some butt in her "Snow White and the Huntsman" clip, then we finally saw Katniss, Gale and Peeta preparing for battle in "The Hunger Games," and now we get our first look at Tarsem's take on Snow White, "Mirror Mirror."

Even better, now that we have seen both trailers for the two upcoming Snow White-themed flicks, it is much easier to tell them apart, as "Huntsman" is clearly more of an action/drama, while "Mirror" is action/comedy. Here's a look at five key elements that make "Mirror Mirror" worth some extra reflection:

A Comedic Twist on an Old Tale
A dramatic and dry story, this is not. From the moment the trailer begins, there is an air of whimsy and fantasy and a slew of snarky one-liners from Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, like when she contests the color of Snow White's hair — "It's not black, it's raven" — and quipping that she's white as snow because "she's 18. Her skin has never seen the sun, of course it's good." Another deviation from the familiar tale is that this Evil Queen is broke and therefore much more concerned with trying to marry a much younger, wealthier prince than obsessing too much over her beautiful adversary.

A New Side of Julia Roberts
She has always been our favorite "Pretty Woman," with an all-American appeal and almost royal status in Hollywood. However, it's been awhile since Roberts has done a film with such mainstream appeal. (No, "Eat Pray Love" doesn't count.) Not only that, she's playing the bad guy, er, lady, and from what we can see in the trailer, she tackled her character's sassy nuances with considerable aplomb. And did we mention that she looks absolutely stunning while doing it? Because she does.

The Visuals
Speaking of stunning, the film's production design, costumes, effects, etc., make it look like we'll be transported to the most gorgeous, fantastic fairy-tale land of all time. And the costumes! Lordy, are they magnificent. Where the look of Kristen Stewart's Snow White seems cool, fierce and serious, Lily Collins is sweet, feminine and vibrant. There's even a little nod to the famous Disney princess' blue and yellow dress in there. Roberts' wardrobe is just breathtaking — literally; there's a scene in which she has a team of people trying to squeeze her into a corset.

A Perfect Prince Charming
True to his word awhile back that the MPAA might have to change the film's rating due to its dreamy factor, Armie Hammer's Prince Andrew Alcott is one charming, handsome man. Except for the scene in which the Evil Queen puts a puppy-love spell on him and he momentarily turns into an overexcited, slobbering mess. That is forgotten soon enough when we get a few glimpses of Hammer sans shirt. Also, Hammer just has a royal air and stature to him (pun intended — he's a tall man), which makes possibly cheesy lines like "I think Snow White is the most beautiful woman in the whole world" believable, not exaggerated.

Tarsem
The man is a wonderfully vivid and creative storyteller. As demonstrated in his previous films like "The Cell," "The Fall" and his most recent box-office hit "Immortals," Tarsem's enthusiastic direction produces movies that are big, bright and bold. You are guaranteed to be entertained by his work in some way, shape or form. Plus, he admitted he cast Lily Collins because he loved her eyebrows.

'Breaking Dawn' Sex-Scene Song Inspired By Edward

Sleeping At Last's Ryan O'Neal calls submitting 'Turning Page' for the soundtrack a 'shot in the dark,' in 'Twilight' Tuesday.
By Kara Warner

We're back again for another "Twilight" Tuesday, our recently resurrected weekly column dedicated to anything and everything popping in the house that Stephenie Meyer built.

Not that we've been lacking content this month, since "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1" opens this week, but there's always something to spotlight. This week's special subject: the lucky artists on the soundtrack.

When you're associated with any of the "Twilight" films, no matter in what capacity, it's kind of a big deal — particularly if you are an emerging artist on the music scene and one of your songs is selected to be part of the "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack. That dream recently came true for singer/songwriter Ryan O'Neal from Sleeping At Last when he found out his song "Turning Page" made the final cut.

"I wrote 'Turning Page' about six months ago, and it was something I felt I really wanted to be from Edward's perspective," he told MTV News recently, after a special concert performance for the fans camped out before the premiere in "tent city." "I thought, 'That makes sense,' and things just kind of layered on itself. And after the first few piano chords, I felt like that was where I wanted to go with it. So then I sent it in, which was a total shot in the dark. I hadn't heard anything [for a while], so I was pretty sure it was a no-go. And then a couple months ago, I got a call and was told it was in some of the parts of the film."

In exactly what parts of the film does his song appear? When Bella is walking down the aisle and during the highly anticipated sex scene. Can you imagine sending in a song as a "shot in the dark" and then finding out that it is featured in not one, but two scenes? And not only that, but those two scenes happen to be two of the most important in the movie? O'Neal is a lucky duck. A hugely talented and deserving one, that is, and very appreciative.

"I'm still kind of wrapping my head around the whole thing," O'Neal said. "I'm so, so privileged. I can't even believe it."

What would you like to see on "Twilight" Tuesdays? Hit me up @KaraWarner on Twitter to make your voice heard!

Liam Neeson 'Eager' To See 'Dark Knight Rises'

But the actor, whose Ra's Al Ghul is rumored to be in the threequel, says he doesn't have 'a f---ing clue' about the film.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

Whether Liam Neeson will reprise his villainous role of Ra's Al Ghul for the final film of Christopher Nolan's trilogy remains one of the biggest question marks hovering over "The Dark Knight Rises."

Rumors fill Internet forums, hyping the villain's potential return, but we'll let you decide if you want to seek out the clues. If you ask Neeson about "Rises," he might act a little confused.

When MTV News sat down with the Academy Award-nominated actor to discuss his upcoming film "The Grey," Neeson's role in "Batman Begins" slipped his mind for a second. "You're throwing me for a loop there," Neeson said after a long pause. "That's right. I was in 'Batman.' I trained him," he added in his best Ra's voice with a laugh.

While it's still up in the air whether he'll make an appearance, Neeson has already appeared in the form of a voice-over in the trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises," which recycled some of his lines from "Batman Begins." One of the hints that has been repeatedly dropped by people involved with the film is that the conclusion to the trilogy brings everything full-circle, perhaps referencing returning elements from "Batman Begins."

With the series drawing to a close, Neeson said he looks back fondly on the first two Batman films and is looking forward to the finale. "Chris Nolan's made wonderful films, very rich, dark and complex, especially ['The Dark Knight']. Of course, it was cloaked in tragedy," Neeson said, referencing the death of Heath Ledger.

But when it comes to "Rises," Neeson claims to be completely in the dark. "I'm eager to see this one," he said. "I haven't a f---ing clue what it's about."

Russell Simmons, ?uestlove React To Zuccotti Park Raid

More celebs weigh in after Roots drummer tried to warn Occupy Wall Street protesters of police action via Twitter.
By Gil Kaufman

Roots drummer ?uestlove just happened to be driving by New York's Zuccotti Park late Monday night when he noticed something odd happening at the Occupy Wall Street site.

"OMG, drivin down south st. near #OWS. Somethin bout to go down yo, swear I counted 1,000 riot gear cops bout to pull sneak attack #carefulyall," he tweeted around midnight.

He wasn't wrong, as a short time later the NYPD stormed the site of the sit-in protest and forcibly removed the residents of "Freedom Park" in order to clean up the public square. Quest continued to issue his warnings for about an hour after his initial tweet, finally getting confirmation from fellow Twitter users a short time later that his suspicions were true. "I was tryna downplay it 1ce tweets were discrediting me," he wrote once the raid was underway in the early Tuesday morning (November 15) hours. "But I swear I saw like 6 city blocks of nothin but riot gear cops under my bridge."

The Roots drummer wasn't the only one who noticed some late night action in the vicinity. Comedian Kathy Griffin posted a tweet after leaving the Larry King Friars Club roast on Monday night, writing, "Whoa! On my late nite NYC walk. Passed Zuccoti park, saw a large group of people running. Nypd walking in formation in riot gear."

Hip-hop icon Russell Simmons urged protesters to keep up the fight. The Def Jam co-founder, who is slated to visit the Occupy Boston site on Tuesday and make what he called a "major" announcement that will "promote more equal and just democracy," tweeted about the new location OWS members headed toward following the raid. "Foley square is the new zucootti for now here in the city..fyi #occupywallstreet," he wrote early Tuesday morning.

Russell Brand, who had visited OWS with Simmons, was none too pleased, writing, "#OWS moved out of Liberty Park 'because they're blocking 1st responders'- here's my 1st response 'that's bull---t.' "

There were plenty of others who weighed in as well, including Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, who lamented, "Quite a message to send — destroying, reportedly, 5K books at #OWS."

Actor/activist Mark Ruffalo added, "People in Liberty Park were pepper sprayed. Police beat women. Press pushed out so they could not witness the crackdown. Dehumanizing 99%#Ows."

Filmmaker Michael Moore promised that this was not the end, tweeting, "Phase Two of this massive, nonviolent MAJORITY movement will now commence. Wall St will wish they had just left it alone in the park. #ows," while Public Enemy leader Chuck D said, "The People are thrown into the abyss of believing a flawed system. Nikki Reed Compares Her Wedding To 'Breaking Dawn'

For the legions of "Twilight" fans, the year's biggest wedding is only a few days away, with "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hitting theaters Friday.

But for Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie in the films, her biggest wedding took place about a month ago when she married former "American Idol" contestant Paul McDonald on October 16.

While promoting the film, Reed has had to field a number a questions about similarities between Bella's wedding in the film and her own real-life wedding. "People have been asking, just because I just got married, 'What's the difference between your wedding and Bella ...?' — the whole comparing thing," Reed told MTV News.

It wasn't until Reed actually saw the finished film that she discovered a similarity between the two weddings. "I saw the movie last night for the first time, and what Bella says to Charlie is exactly what I said to my dad right when we were going to start walking down," she revealed. "She says, 'Don't let me fall,' and I was wearing these high shoes and walking down this cobblestone hill, not a smooth glide to the altar. I kept saying to my dad, 'Please, don't let me fall. I'll just take my shoes off. I don't need to walk in shoes.' He's like, 'It's going to be OK.' "

With her wedding came the question of whether Reed will change her surname to "McDonald." Reed said she likes the idea for her personal name, but wasn't sure if she'll change her stage name. "I don't know what I'm going to do. I feel like there's something really nice about that, changing your name," Reed said. "I think it's sort of traditional, and I've never been a super-traditional gal, but I think it's nice."

She did express some concern over the name and referenced her husband's own problems with it. "He told me that he didn't think anyone was going to marry him for that exact reason [of his last name]," Reed said. "I think it's kind of nice, though. 'McDonald' is a good name. It's strong. It feels strong and beefy."

Adele's 'Live At Royal Albert Hall': No Flash, Plenty Of Substance

Posted: 15 Nov 2011 03:24 AM PST

Adele's live concert film — due November 29 — is a straightforward affair, which is quite perfect, actually.
By James Montgomery

Adele
Photo: Jon Furniss/ WireImage

There is something to be said about a film that delivers exactly what it promises. And Adele's brand-new "Live at the Royal Albert Hall" concert flick does exactly that. There are no backstage vignettes, biographic set pieces or interviews with breathless fans. Instead, as the title implies, there is just Adele, live at the Royal Albert Hall (or, as she puts it, "Royal Albert F---ing Hall").

Of course, there's nothing wrong with that. Because rather than fill 90-odd minutes with artfully acute black-and-white montages or various bits of fly-on-the-wall ephemera, director Paul Dugdale makes the very wise decision to feature nothing more than Adele's bright, brilliant face, her contagious cackle, her rather impressive grasp of profanity and, of course, that voice. It's the catalyst behind her massive 21 album (10 million sold worldwide!) and the entire Adele sensation, really. And for those fans yet to see her live, thanks to ongoing vocal issues, that's really all they could ask for.

Because "Live," which hits stores November 29, presents Adele at the height of her powers (and humors), onstage for an emotional homecoming show at one of the planet's truly iconic venues ("I've seen the Spice Girls here and Enrique Iglesias here!" she gushes). Filmed less than two months ago — which may explain the lack of bells and whistles — it is a simple, straightforward, almost Spartan concert film, the kind of thing you'd watch on PBS (and not in movie theaters worldwide, which fans will get the chance to do).

While that may sound like a criticism, it strangely works in this context, mostly because it lets Adele shine. She sings the hell out of songs like "Hometown Glory," "I'll Be Waiting," "Turning Tables" and "Chasing Pavements," breaks down in tears following a truly epic "Someone Like You," and vamps through "Rumor Has It." She goes huge on "Set Fire to the Rain," belts out Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me," lilts through a fizzy cover of the Steeldrivers' "If It Hadn't Been for Love" and, in a truly powerful moment, dedicates her version of Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love" to the late Amy Winehouse.

Of course, there are also the lighter moments, like how she endlessly drinks warm honey out of a mug with a Dachshund printed on the front, expresses her sheer amazement at playing a venue the caliber of the Royal Albert Hall ("I'm sh--ting myself!" is how she puts it), dishes on former flames, professes her love for Dolly Parton, continuously waves to fans in the audience (even when she's singing a crushing breakup tune) and laughs her way through a false start of "Take It All" ("That was a sh-- note; let's start it again"). And "Live At the Royal Albert Hall" presents it all.

In a lot of ways, it comes about as close as any concert film to replicating the experience of attending a real concert. In the screening I attended Tuesday, I actually had to remind myself not to clap at the conclusion of a couple songs. I'm not making that up, either (though it would make a nice front-of-box quote). And in that regard, it is a tremendous success; you definitely get the full experience. Adele is luminous, compelling, funny and profane throughout, and like I said, her voice is in tiptop shape. So if you're in the 90 percent of fans who own 21 but have yet to see her live, you're definitely going to love it. If you were expecting high art, best to look elsewhere. Then again, it's not like the title of the film didn't give you ample warning.

Charlize Theron Praises Kristen Stewart's 'Lovely' Qualities

'Kristen is just living this to the max and still has a sense of humor about it,' her 'Snow White' co-star tells Vogue.

Charlize Theron may be Kristen Stewart's archnemesis in the forthcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman," but in real life, her feelings about the "Breaking Dawn" star are far more warm and fuzzy.

"She just turned 21," said Theron, who plays the Evil Queen in the film, about her young co-star in a Vogue interview. "She's a child.

"When I think about myself at 21," the actress said, recalling her own early days in Hollywood, "I had just done 'The Devil's Advocate,' and [co-star] Keanu [Reeves] had paparazzi following him, and Al Pacino said this thing to me: 'If I knew that my life would be under this kind of scrutiny, I would have never become an actor.' And I thought, 'Wow.' I couldn't comprehend it."

Theron went on to tell the magazine that Stewart is handling life in the public eye with grace. "Kristen is just living this to the max and still has a sense of humor about it. There's this really lovely quality about her that just doesn't give a f---," she said. "A lot of people say they don't, but then they go home and cry and pop a Xanax. Kristen actually doesn't give a f---. That's what's so refreshing about her."

Of course, given her role as Snow White's foe in next year's "SWATH," Theron is enjoying how differently their onscreen relationship will play out. "I'm looking forward to killing her and taking her beauty," the actress joked. "That's what happens, right?"

On Monday night at the red-carpet premiere in Los Angeles for "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," Snow White herself opened up to MTV News about her highly anticipated flick, in which she plays a sword-wielding version of the classic fairy tale heroine.

"I'm so enigmatic. You'll [have to] see," Stewart told us, before teasing about doing a British accent, "It's not so easy! I would need to drop into character and I have no time to build!"

'Love & Hip-Hop' Star Kimbella Had 'Good Intentions' Before Fight

'I didn't come at [Emily B] maliciously,' VH1 newbie tells MTV News after her revelation sparks season-two brawl.

During the season two premiere of VH1's "Love & Hip Hop" on Monday night, viewers watched an explosive fight between returning castmember Chrissy Lampkin and newcomer Kimbella (girlfriend of Dipset rapper Juelz Santana).

The physical confrontation went down during an intimate gathering hosted by soft-spoken Emily Bustamente, as she celebrated the end of a sometimes-tumultuous nine-year relationship with rapper Fabolous. In a reality show moment that seemed to be void of reasoning, Kimbella Vanderhee dropped a bombshell in front of the entire room, admitting that she dated Fabolous while Emily B was pregnant with his son. Although Emily remained calm after hearing the news, Chrissy quickly lost her cool and things soon spiraled out of control.

Looking back on the incident, Kimbella told MTV News that she didn't anticipate such a heated reaction from Chrissy and maintained that she made the right decision by revealing the news when she did.

"I didn't come at [Emily B] maliciously. I had good intentions. I wasn't there to hurt anyone or take anything from anyone," Kimbella told us on Monday, hours before the season premiere. "I could've taken her aside to tell her that privately, but I felt like in the moment, Emily was so proud that she was leaving [Fab], and I was just in that moment with her.

"Everyone just shifted out of the room and I felt like it was just me and her, so I felt the need to tell her," Kim continued. "I stand my ground with that, I felt like I needed to tell her then and there, and I did that and I hold my own with that."

Lampkin expressed remorse to MTV News for assaulting Kimbella but she, too, maintained that she was caught up in the heat of the moment.

"I think everybody that watches the show feels like Emily doesn't defend herself the way we would like to see her do," she explained. "I don't regret my feelings, but I regret the way I allowed myself to be pulled out of character. It's just that I was so hurt and so caught in the moment — it was just reactional."

Zuccotti Park Reopens To Occupy Wall Street Protesters

MTV News hits the streets to talk to demonstrators after early morning police raid.

Hours after police officers evicted hundreds of protesters from Zuccotti Park, a judge ordered that they be allowed to return.

Nearly two months from the inaugural protest date, NYPD officers moved into the lower Manhattan park, forcing out protesters as cleaning crews moved in. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg addressed the matter on his website and assured that the move was only temporary. "Protesters have had two months to occupy the park with tents and sleeping bags. Now they will have to occupy the space with the power of their arguments."

Patrick Macleod, a member of the Occupy movement who arrived on site shortly after the police had cleared out the space, reported several skirmishes and use of tear gas by police in the early morning confrontation.

Click through to "Voices From Occupy Wall Street" — our interactive photo gallery — and get to know 20 young demonstrators' motivations, hopes and goals.

"Everybody kind of split off into different groups, then there was four or five separate groups," he told MTV News about the aftermath. "I was with a group that went down to the Town Hall area, and we held the park there; that's where I spent the night. It felt like we waited the cops out, but they may have just been teasing us or something."

After dispersing, the Occupy Wall Street website called for an assembly on nearby Canal Street. Around 10 a.m., hundreds of protesters returned to march around the still-police-occupied, privately owned park, claiming their right to occupy the space.

On site, MTV News witnessed a few arrests of protesters who tampered with barricades or tried to invade the park; they were forcibly removed by police.

"Earlier today, the Supreme Court of New York said they put a temporary injunction saying that we could go back into the park. They also said that the police and the fire department could not stop us," one protester told MTV News. "We are allowed back in."

'Breaking Dawn' Birth 'Emotional' For Stephenie Meyer

'Twilight' author also raves to MTV News about wedding and honeymoon — and reveals whether she'll write more about Bella and Edward.

Of all the lovely and talented stars we feature in our exhaustive efforts to cover anything and everything in the world of "Twilight," it's a rare treat to talk to the woman responsible for it all: author-turned-producer Stephenie Meyer.

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with the lady, the myth, the legend during our "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" premiere live stream Monday night (November 14), when we covered hot topics such as the wedding and honeymoon, the birth scene and whether Meyer will ever write another "Twilight"-themed story or book.

"With the wedding, I worked pretty closely with [screenwriter] Melissa [Rosenberg]," Meyer said. "We talked about it, how it needed to be like a really beautiful traditional ceremony, nothing outlandish, just simple and old-fashioned and romantic, and then [director] Bill [Condon] brought in the vision of what it should look like, and the production designer just made such a gorgeous midsummer night's dream for us. And then the final element was Kristen [Stewart] in the wedding dress. She was so gorgeous, she was unbelievable."

Will They Be Able To Pull Off the Birth Scene? Predict It on Facebook

Fun fact about the wedding scene: Meyer has a cameo, which she assured us was not her idea.

"Bill really wanted those of us who'd been there from the beginning [in the scene]," she said. "It was nice to be at Bella's wedding; that was great. Being on camera — not so much."

Moving right along to arguably the film's most-anticipated scene: the honeymoon, which Meyer said she wanted all along to be romantic above everything else.

"I think it's romantic, and it does give you more than the book does. I know some of the sites call it, instead of 'fade to black,' 'fade to sad.' they'd love to see more. I think this gives them that," she said. "It gives them a romantic peek into the honeymoon. We don't want to see too much."

Another scene in which the filmmakers incorporated a less-is-more approach was during the very intense birth scene, which Meyer said was so emotional that people shed a bunch of tears during filming.

"It was so emotional. It wasn't like a horror movie or anything. It has those elements, but it really brought out that feeling of losing the person that means the most to you. We were getting teary on set, which doesn't happen very much after a long day of shooting," she said. "That moment really was strong."

And finally, the question on all "Twilight" fans' minds all the time: After the final movie opens and things are all said and done, will Meyer return to her characters and continue the story?

"I don't know," she said. "Every now and then I tinker around with old manuscripts, because I can't leave them alone even though it's too late and they're printed. There are little things. I've been recently doing comedies and stuff; it's a nice change. Maybe it will cleanse the palate and I'll get back to it."

So once the palate is cleansed, might she consider publishing the much-discussed, fan-pined-for book from Edward's perspective, "Midnight Sun"? "Maybe. I get that [question] a lot," Meyer said. "My mother [asks] every day. She would love for me to do that. I know a lot of people will love that. I have to get to a place where I can write it."

Justin Bieber To Perform At 'Christmas In Washington'?

Bieber broke the news during an interview in England; performers for the annual concert have yet to be announced.

It sounds like Justin Bieber is going to have a very capital Christmas.

While in England to promote the release of his Under the Mistletoe album, Bieber stopped by radio station Kiss FM, where he not only discussed his fans in the White House, but revealed that he'll be performing at the annual "Christmas in Washington" show, to be broadcast December 16 on TNT.

"President Obama ... his kids really like me, which is cool," Bieber said. "I'm actually doing 'Christmas in Washington,' and I'm performing for him and the whole Senate and all that."

Bieber previously performed at the event in 2009 — much to the delight of Sasha and Malia Obama — sharing the stage with the likes of Usher, Mary J. Blige and Sugarland. He also took the stage at the White House's annual Easter Egg Roll in 2010.

The lineup for 2011's "Christmas in Washington" show has yet to be officially announced, and a spokesperson for TNT did not respond to MTV News' request for comment by press time. But, if he does perform, Bieber can count on the support of the commander in chief, whom he described to MTV News as "really cool."

"[Obama] was really nice, and I was just happy to be [at the White House]," Bieber said last year. "We met [Sasha and Malia], took pictures with them, took pictures with the first lady.

"The first time I met him was a couple months back," he continued. "I got to hang out with him in the Oval Office, which is pretty crazy, because no one really gets to go in there. It was pretty incredible. I got pictures with him."

Who else do you hope performs at "Christmas in Washington"? Share your ideas in the comments!

'Harry Potter' Stars Suggest A Few 'Wizarding World' Attractions

Rupert Grint, Warwick Davis and other 'Potter' stars offer up some creative ideas for the Orlando, Florida, park.

ORLANDO, Florida — The books are long finished, the movies are now over, but all it takes is one step inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida, to know that "Potter" is forever.

Still, despite the ever-flowing butterbeer and copious amounts of "Potter"-based roller-coaster rides, there's always room for improvement, even at the Wizarding World. After all, the "Potter" universe is just too grand to fit every single element into one theme park. With that in mind, when MTV News traveled down to Orlando to cover the red-carpet celebration of the "Deathly Hallows Part 2" DVD release, we asked the cast and crew to weigh in on which features of J.K. Rowling's imaginative world they'd like to see included in future park updates.

Jessie Cave, who plays lovelorn Lavender Brown in "Half-Blood Prince," suggested a new means of transportation for the park: "I think instead of being allowed to walk here, everyone should have to arrive by Hogwarts Express. You wouldn't actually have to walk. It'd be just the most comfortable trip ever!"

James and Oliver Phelps, better known as the mischievous Weasley twins, focused on a different mode of flying — via broomstick.

"If it were actually possible, maybe [it'd be cool] for an actual Quidditch match to go on," Oliver said. "Something like that would be quite cool to watch if that were actually possible to do."

Wishful thinking, perhaps — the technology probably isn't quite there to catch a real-life golden snitch just yet. But the rest of the "Potter" cast tried to think in more practical terms, offering their ideas on attractions that could be added to the park in the coming years. Several of the actors, including Warwick Davis and Rupert Grint, suggested the Gringotts breakout as an excellent possibility for a roller-coaster ride.

"Wouldn't that be great? You could join Griphook on the cart," Davis, who plays the aforementioned goblin, said of his Wizarding World wish-list. "And it's already done!"

"The Gringotts vault would be a really cool ride, I think," agreed Grint, who played courageous hero Ron Weasley over the course of eight "Potter" films. "Also, the flying car!"

Some castmembers didn't need to look much further than their own reflections to find suggestions for Wizarding World improvements.

"I've been thinking of a ride, a Luna ride," offered Evanna Lynch, speaking of her own character, the loopy Luna Lovegood. "You know all of the creatures she dreams up, all of the creatures that she mentions throughout the books, I like to think that there would be a roller coaster, and each cart would be a new creature. It'd be in the dark and there'd be all these projections of creatures flying around."

"I don't know what it's like to be stoned," she added, "but I imagine it feels something like that!"

And Jason Isaacs, who plays Voldemort loyalist Lucius, believed it was high time for the Malfoy clan to get some Wizarding World love. "There should be a Malfoy ride," he said. "I don't know why there isn't a Malfoy House of Horrors that you can enter as Lucius and leave as Lucius post-Azkaban."

Of course, Isaacs wasn't the only one thinking of his own character.

"We all want a ride based on us," he said. "It's a fantastic place here. The only thing that's missing is, obviously, me!"
