Plans for Heavy D's funeral services are being made, and his sendoff will be small and intimate with close friends and family only. The beloved rapper, born Dwight Errington Myers, will be laid to rest next Friday, November 18, in the New York area.

TMZ reports that Heav's family will be holding a public viewing the Thursday before the funeral for fans to catch a last glimpse of the "Now That We Found Love" rapper.

Heavy's burial services Friday will be invite-only. The surviving Boyz of Heavy D & the BoyzDJ Eddie F and dancer G-Wiz — will be in attendance. While calling into MTV News' "RapFix Live," Eddie explained the universal appeal of his late friend.

"The thing that he did that may be apparent, but maybe a lot of people didn't pay attention to it, he was the type of rapper like the hardest, hardest, hard rock was a fan of his, and he would move on the street," Eddie F told MTV News. "But then he was also respectful, and your mother, your grandmother could listen to Heavy D."

Also sure to attend the funeral will be Sean "Diddy" Combs and Mary J. Blige, who both worked with the Overweight Lover while he was at Uptown Records. The Wayans brothers are on the list of select attendees, according to TMZ; Heav famously penned and performed the theme music to the Wayans' "In Living Color" sketch-comedy show.

Heavy D died Tuesday after collapsing near his Beverly Hills condominium. Although it's been reported that he had pneumonia-like symptoms shortly before his death, the Los Angeles coroner has not announced an official cause of death.

Light your vanilla candles and snuggle under the covers: The Britney Spears concert special drops this weekend!

Filmed at the Toronto stop of her Femme Fatale Tour, the special — which airs Saturday on Epix at 8 p.m. ET/PT — puts every fan in the front row. Look out for cameos from Nicki Minaj and Sabi, killer dancing, beautifully designed costumes, elaborate stage setups and a set list that even the biggest Britney critic couldn't help but shake their groove thing to.

In a sea of can't-miss moments, there are definitely several standouts. Lucky for you, we've rounded them up!

Britney Singing "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know"
It's rare these days to see Britney Spears show her soft side, but she takes a break from the nonstop, fist-pumping music during the spectacle that is the Femme Fatale Tour and kicks it old-school, showing us she still has the heart and soul to bust out a power ballad.

The Short Films
These glossy, dark and incredibly fashionable cinematic clips follow the Femme Fatale herself as she gets into risky situations, being pursued by dangerous men with even more dangerous intentions. Of course, Spears isn't all that innocent herself, giving the boys a run for their money in the bad department. They don't call her the Femme Fatale for nothing.

The Lap Dance
Over the course of her tour, Britney has chosen one lucky guy for a very special dance, and the lucky guy at the Toronto tour stop can watch his dance on loop forever. Brit made that gentleman, named Alex, very happy when he was picked from a sea of devotees to get a private lap dance from Britney and her sexy backup dancers during "Leather and Lace."

The special hits DVD and Blu-ray on November 21. Backstreet Boy Howie D will join Spears on the Femme Fatale Tour before it wraps up December 10 in Puerto Rico.

What tour moments are you hoping are in the special? Let us know in the comments!

Run-DMC Recall 'My Adidas' Impact, 25 Years Later

'It was bigger than just talking about how many pairs of sneakers we had,' Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels tells MTV News.

NEW YORK — A quarter century after Run-DMC dedicated a song to their sneaker brand of choice, DMC is still rocking his Adidas for hip-hop.

On Friday morning (November 11), Darryl "DMC" McDaniels of the seminal Queens rap group was in the Harlem USA clothing store on 125th Street signing autographs for fans who purchased a special Adidas Originals Superstar 80s model commemorating the 25th anniversary of Run-DMC's "My Adidas."

The song was released in 1986 and appears on Run-DMC's triple-platinum Raising Hell album. The hit record was inspired by more than just bragging and boasting about their collection of kicks, though.

"It was a song that was about our sneakers, but it was bigger than just talking about how many pairs of sneakers we had," DMC told MTV News. "It came from the place of people would look at the b-boys, the b-girls and go, 'Oh, those are the people that cause all the problems in here.' And, 'Those young people are nothing but troublemakers and those young people don't know nothing.' So they was judging the book by its cover, without seeing what was inside of it."

DMC continued, "So me, Run and [Jam Master] Jay was like, 'Yeah, we going to make a record about our Adidas.' Yeah, we wear Adidas [with] no laces, we got gold chains, we got Cazals and all of that, but I go to St. John's University. These Adidas stepped onstage at Live Aid. People gave and the poor got paid. It was about taking the image of the b-boy and b-girl and letting the world know we're a people of vision, we're inspiration, motivation, we're educated too. So it's kind of a kick in the face to the people that was hating on hip-hop."

Run-DMC's lyrical certification of "shelltoe" Adidas led to the first-ever endorsement deal between a music act and an athletic company. The limited-edition "My Adidas" Superstar 80s model is the same shoe Run, DMC and Jam Master Jay wore back in the day with special details like the JMJ logo on the heel, "1986" stitched on the side and a gold lace lock designed to look like a dookie-rope gold chain. Only 1,986 of the shoes will be made for sale to the public.

Back in 1986, Run-DMC said seeing all their fans rock Adidas sneakers and gear on the strength of their co-sign was actually a bit disconcerting. "It was scary," DMC said. "We was going through Detroit, through Boston, through Chicago, through LA, through Virginia; every city we went to on the Raising Hell Tour, we would look out the back of the tour bus and everybody had the Adidas [track] suits from head to toe. The Cazals, the hats, the Kangols, and they had those Adidas on. You would think we would sit in the back of the bus and go, 'Yo, we gonna get paid!' "

However, the trio were aware of the responsibility their tastemaking influence carried. "Me, Run and Jay, we sat back and said, 'We gotta watch what we do and we gotta watch what we say,' " DMC said. "Because the music, the image, the concepts was so powerful, if they're going to wear Adidas because we say it's cool, that means they would drink, abuse, fight because of this. We got nervous. I always remember Jay said, 'Yo, this hip-hop stuff is really powerful, man. We gotta watch what we say and what we present to the world.' "

Rihanna 'Killed It' On <i>Talk That Talk</i>'s 'Watch N' Learn'

Rihanna has given fans a taste of her November 21 release Talk That Talk in the form of two singles: the Calvin Harris party starter "We Found Love" and the Dr. Luke club banger "You Da One."

The album features nine other booty-shaking, NSFW tunes about getting frisky, with production credits from a number of noted hitmakers like Stargate, Bangladesh and The-Dream. Another producer, Hit-Boy, made the final cut with his sexy, instructional "Watch n' Learn."

"She definitely murdered it vocally," he told MTV News. "I was just at the studio last week listening to a mix of it, and man, she killed it. I really feel like, this song, it's going to be big. I'm really excited about it."

The track wasn't originally slated for any artist in particular when Hit-Boy (who has produced for Lil Wayne, the Throne, Eminem and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few) started working on it.

"I kind of went into the situation blind, but I had this track I actually started at home, and the one day I was at the studio with this amazing [songwriter] Priscilla Renea, and I was going to tell her to go home, but I was like, 'Stay here and see if you could come up with an idea for this,' " he recalled of the track's origin. "And by the time I got back to the house she sent me the idea through iChat, and I was like, 'Man, this is crazy.' So we got it to [Rihanna], and they went crazy, and she cut it, and that's what it is!"

The song, like many on the album, focuses on two people getting frisky. So why is Rihanna feeling so hot and bothered this time around?

"I mean it's called Talk That Talk, and she's definitely talking that talk — especially, I know, from my record," he said. "It's called 'Watch n' Learn,' and people will understand what it's about once it comes out. It's a very sexy record, but it's fun. It's [got] great melodies; it's catchy; the beat knocks. It's so many different elements to it."

Alexander Skarsgard Raves About Working With Dad In 'Melancholia'

But Stellan is 'such a douche bag' in the Lars von Trier movie, Alexander laughs to MTV News.

"Melancholia" certainly isn't the first film to contemplate the end of the world as we know it, but the dreamy drama from writer/director Lars von Trier does boast its own noteworthy debut: the teaming of father/son duo Stellan and Alexander Skarsgård.

In the movie, out Friday (November 11) in New York and L.A., Alexander plays mild-mannered Michael, the man who marries Kirsten Dunst's slightly unhinged Justine. Father Stellan plays Justine's boss and Michael's best man, Jack — a role that required the elder Skarsgård to act out some less than savory behavior.

"He's such a douche bag in the movie," Alexander said with a grin.

"Your dad's a douche bag?" Dunst answered, laughing.

"Well, he is," Alexander confirmed. "What I thought was interesting about Michael was that he'd pick this guy as his best man at his wedding. This is not his best friend. It's his wife's boss, and he does it just to kind of help his wife in his career. It says a lot about Michael." (Not to mention the trajectory of their love affair.)

Despite Jack's unpleasant demeanor, working with dad Stellan was an experience Alexander truly cherished.

"It was awesome," he enthused. "We've never worked together before. He's one of my best friends. I love hanging out with him. Being able to hang out for two months - we shot in [our home country of] Sweden, and I thought it was great that he wasn't my dad."

"They're really cute together as father and son," Dunst chimed in. "They're like bros."

"He's pretty rad. He's a cool cat," Alexander said.

'Immortals': The Reviews Are In!

While many critics marvel at the visual spectacle of the Greek flick, others decry Tarsem Singh's 'style-over-substance exercise.'
By Kevin P. Sullivan

If recent Greek movie history has taught us anything, it's that the men of myths and legends had some killer ab routines. "Immortals" continues the tradition started by "300," but will the new film find the same magic that made the Gerard Butler flick such a huge success?

Critics see the similarities, namely in the brains (or lack thereof) department. While it may not be the smartest picture on the block, most seem to agree "Immortals" is actually quite beautiful. Here's a rundown on what the critics have to say about the movie, which hit theaters on Friday (November 11).

The Story
"Alas, the movie makes next to no sense. It involves, in a very broad sense, the attempt by King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) to conquer Greece, and the battle to stop him led by a plucky peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill). ... But a lot of the time I had no idea what was going on. Characters would turn up for the first time, seem terrifically important, and disappear. If at many moments I had stopped the film and asked anybody around me, 'Who is that, and what are they doing and why?' I think they'd have been stuck for an answer." — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

Henry Cavill
"Henry Cavill, cast as Superman in Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel,' next year, plays Theseus, a peasant who leads a rebellion against the wicked King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke, the highlight of the film). Muscular, oily and full of resentment, Cavill makes a fine perturbed peasant, though he's got a tough bill sharing the most scenes with Rourke." — Scott Bowles, USA Today

The Direction
"Tarsem Singh's first two films, 'The Cell' and 'The Fall,' were shallow but exquisite displays designed almost entirely to show off his extraordinary artistry. With 'Immortals,' Singh finally acknowledges that he's making movies, rather than just beautiful moving pictures. In his ostentatiously unconventional take on ancient Greek history, he gives us fully fleshed characters and a compelling (enough) plot, plus all the action an epic requires. And, true to form, it's also the most gorgeous film of the year." — Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News

The Costumes
"The most eye-catching creative contribution consists of Eiko Ishioka's sometimes striking costume designs, which not only functionally differentiate the assorted factions but often pop the eyes even against the colorful backgrounds." — Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter

The Final Word
"Absent a compelling narrative, the spectacle alone may be enough to survive opening weekend, only to see returns for this style-over-substance exercise wither over the following weeks. — Peter Debruge, Variety

J. Cole's Rap Name Was 'Therapist,' On 'When I Was 17'

'A few years later, I realized Therapist sounded like a wrestler's name,' Roc Nation rapper recalls on Saturday's episode.
By Henna Kathiya

Before he was signed with Roc Nation and topping charts with his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, 17-year-old Jermaine Cole was still trying to find his hip-hop identity. And on this week's episode of "When I Was 17," North Carolina native J. Cole reveals some of his rather interesting pre-fame stage names.

"When I was 17, I had been rapping for what, five years, at that point," Cole reveals on Saturday's show, which airs at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. "There was a local group named Bomb Shelter that had been mentoring me since I was 14 years old."

And it was Bomb Shelter that really got J. Cole thinking about a catchy rap name. "One [group member] was Nervous Reck and the other was Filthy Ritch. I was like man, 'Those are the most creative rap names I ever heard. I need a rap name like that!' " Cole recalls.

So the budding rapper did what any smart guy would do — he hit the books.

"We used to look through the dictionary for rap names," he says, "I could never find nothing. One day these dudes [Bomb Shelter] were like, 'Yo, we got a name for you, it's Therapist,' " he said.

While J. Cole wasn't entirely feeling the name, he decided to test it out with the help of his mentors. His friend, Nervous Reck, thought Cole could make it work by playing up the doctor angle. "I was like maybe it could work, you just gotta play on the whole doctor image and being therapeutic and your music is therapeutic," Nervous Reck explains on the episode.

So Cole rocked with the moniker Therapist for a while, figuring his mentors knew better than he did about these matters.

"A few years later, I realized Therapist sounded like a wrestler's name," Cole laughs. "You know, like an alias. It didn't feel real."

So he ditched Therapist and adopted J. Cole. "J. Cole felt like my real name. That was a real natural fit. It didn't feel like I was trying to be anything."

We think his fans would agree: Therapist World just doesn't have the same ring to it.

"When I Was 17" — this week featuring J. Cole, Robyn and Chad Michael Murray — airs on Saturday at 11a.m ET/PT on MTV.

Howard Stern On 'America's Got Talent'? Simon Cowell Weighs In

'You'll have to wait and see,' the 'X Factor' mentor and 'AGT' producer tells MTV News with a wink and smile.

HOLLYWOOD — "America's Got Talent" could get a lot more shocking next summer.

This week, reports leaked that producers have approached radio superstar Howard Stern to replace Piers Morgan, who bowed out of the gig to focus on his new CNN show. And now, "America's Got Talent" creator and executive producer Simon Cowell has added fuel to the shock jock's fire.

At "The X Factor" viewing party in the Hollywood Hills last night, Cowell was predictably playful when asked if Stern was an actual possibility as a Piers replacement. "You'll have to wait and see," Simon told MTV News with a wink and a smile.

This isn't the first time Stern has lobbied for a spot on a hit show's judging panel. His name briefly popped up when Paula quit "American Idol" in 2009, but it wasn't until Cowell announced his own "Idol" departure in 2010 that the "Private Parts" author looked like a real contender for a hot minute. Stern told his satellite-radio listeners that he was on the short list to take over the open spot. "There's not a better job on the planet than judging a f---ing karaoke contest," Stern said. "It might be possible; we'll see."

At the time, the outspoken "Idol" critic said he would quit his radio show if Fox ponied up enough dough. (He threw out the figure $100 million. Shortly after his radio announcement, "Idol" poo-pooed Stern's claims, saying they had barely begun searching for a new judge.)

According to the Wall Street Journal, NBC isn't offering anywhere near that kind of salary for the "Talent" gig. (Think more like $15 million.) However, a source also claims that NBC may be moving the summer talent competition to New York so Howard Stern could easily continue his satellite-radio show while also judging jugglers, singers and fire-breathers.

Cowell jokingly hinted that Stern might be asking for too much money, quipping to MTV News' cameras, "[You're] cheaper, right? That will help."

Do you think Howard Stern is a good fit for "America's Got Talent"? Sound off in the comments below!

Katy Perry Recalls 'One That Got Away' In New Video

Perry and Diego Luna play star-crossed lovers in the moody clip.
By Jocelyn Vena

Katy Perry's moody, contemplative clip for "The One That Got Away" perfectly encapsulates both the joy of falling in love and the heartbreak of letting go. It travels through time and space and recalls the story of Perry's one that got away.

Directed by Floria Sigismondi (who also directed Perry's trippy "E.T." clip), the video opens with Katy, decked out in old-lady makeup, returning home from a trip as her husband (who viewers quickly realize isn't the guy Perry thought she'd end up with) asks how it went. She then walks up the stairs of her contemporary mansion to reflect on the past.

As she settles into her place at home, little things begin to remind her of him: notably a heart tattoo on her arm. From there, viewers are taken back in time, as Perry recalls her fiery, sexy love affair with her artist beau, played by Mexican movie star Diego Luna.

In this past life, Perry and Luna, both painters, would create their art side by side, acting as each other's muse. In between painting pictures, the two share moments and enjoy life: making out, giggling, tattooing one another, crashing parties and falling asleep in one another's arms.

For much of the video, things seem perfect between the pair. However, all good things must come to an end. Eventually, their art splits them up: As he grows more creative and she becomes frustrated with it, they no longer can connect emotionally. From there, the fighting begins, culminating in the ultimate argument.

As he drives away from their scuffle, still fired up, he looks down at a memento of hers, takes his eyes off the road for a quick second, and tragically and unexpectedly crashes off a cliff, leaving no chance for reconciliation.

The video closes with Katy driving Luna's old car. She eventually goes to the scene of the tragedy as Johnny Cash's "You Are My Sunshine" plays. As an old Katy looks over that cliff, the sun radiating over her, she's visited by the ghost of her one true love and, for a moment, feels the love they once shared.

The video premiered online and on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday, when Perry not only announced plans to hold a free show at L.A.'s Staples Center on November 23 called "Katy Perry Gives Thanks," but also talked a bit about her plans to start a family with hubby Russell Brand.

It's no secret that fan fervor surrounding the "Twilight" franchise is intense. What that means for the stars is, of course, a lot of interviews, tours and appearances in various cities and countries leading up to the blockbuster films.

When we caught up with Kristen Stewart as she promoted the latest "Twilight Saga" entry, "Breaking Dawn- Part 1," we asked if she's looking forward to the day when her "Twilight" duties come to an end.

"Sure, but at the same time, these things are so rare and sporadically intense that part of it is easy to [do]," she said. "I have to force myself to enjoy it — not force myself because it's hard, but acknowledge that I am enjoying [the moment] rather than going, 'God, this is so crazy.' "

Stewart said that despite what people may think, she genuinely enjoys doing interviews.

"I like talking about these movies. When you're actually talking about the movies, I have a really good time with it," she admitted. "You don't always get times that you have to articulate this stuff, so it's actually good to think about."

Stewart's co-star Robert Pattinson has said that all the attention he receives now serves the very important purpose of keeping him honest about himself — to a point.

"You have to confront your insecurities quite a lot, and I have plenty, plenty of insecurities," he said about being an actor and having to question his chosen profession. "Even more [now]. Before, you could kind of bullsh-- yourself all the time. If no one cares about you, you can be like, 'I'm the greatest person in the whole world.' You can be completely delusional."

On Monday, join MTV.com live from the "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" red-carpet premiere as we talk to your favorite stars about all things "Twilight"!

'Immortals': Five Secrets Revealed

Stunt coordinator pulls back the curtain for MTV News on stunning fight sequences and more from Tarsem Singh's 3-D odyssey.
By Eric Ditzian

We've seen a zillion big-screen takes on Greek mythology, a zillion slo-mo fight scenes, a zillion eye-popping 3-D sequences. But what's crazy about Tarsem Singh's "Immortals" is that while we've seen this type of thing so many times before, we've never seen any of it quite like this. "Immortals" is, in a word, beautiful.

How did Singh and his team take the story of King Hyperion's (Mickey Rourke) attempt to conquer the world and humiliate the Gods — and Theseus' (Henry Cavill) against-all-odds quest to stop him — and make it fresh, make it unique, make it beautiful? For answers to those questions, MTV News turned to stunt coordinator Artie Malesci, who revealed five secrets about "Immortals."

The Titans Fight
"Immortals" begins with the mythical Titans, those precursors to Zeus and his Olympian clan, in prison. You just know they're going to escape at some point. And when they finally do, their fight against the Olympians is not just amazing to watch, it also proved to be the most challenging fight scene in the entire movie.

"The Titans' fight was the hardest — figuring out the choreography and the sets and the motion-capture work," Malesci said. "It wasn't until way late in the process that we got the idea about how to do it. Were we going to go with motion-capture or was it going to be animated? We spent a lot of time coming up with ideas and showing them to the director and getting his input. We ended up doing it motion-capture, but within this very challenging environment. That was very, very hard."

Battling in Three Dimensions
As Malesci explained it, coordinating stunts and fights for the big screen is never easy, but it's particularly complicated when the movie is being shot in 3-D. "It's difficult because it's two cameras. You've got to move them around," Malesci said of the dynamic, time-dilating fights. "We shot the fights at 60 frames, and they can slow it down in [post-production] to 24 frames, which makes the impact look harder."

He added, "If I wanted to smash your head into a wall, we wouldn't do it in real time. We'd do it fairly slowly. But we film it at a higher speed and ramp it down, so it looks like I really smashed your head into the wall. This way, you don't hurt people."

The Minotaur Head
The film is filled with cool weapons and gadgets — from the CG Epirus Bow that drives much of the plot to a gruesome metal bull that stands over a fire and whose hollow belly provides a deathly chamber for some unfortunate prisoners. One of the most creative contraptions is a barbed-wire Minotaur head worn by one of Hyperion's warriors. Sure, it looks cool, but it was demanding for actor Robert Maillet to wear and then to do anything other than stand around looking badass.

"We thought it was a great idea," Malesci said. "But we really had to stay within the limitations of what the actor could do. He couldn't see well but the mask still had to be used as a weapon, so we made two versions: There was one made of metal for non-fighting scenes. And for the fights, there was one made of rubber. That was a challenge trying to make rubber barbed wire that could hold its shape when we were going [into] the fight."

Gods in Heaven
The single hardest sequence to capture in the entire film, Malesci told us, is one that appears in trailers — gods floating and fighting against one another in heaven. How Tarsem and his team pulled it off has to be heard to be believed.

"It took a month to figure out how to do that," he said. "I thought we'd do it with wires. But instead, we built a glass floor 30 feet in the air. We made an actual elevator system using these giant computer-controlled winches to move the camera, starting right below the actors' feet and then dropping it as fast as we could without getting any kind of camera shake."

Give the Dog an Oscar
Malesci also pointed out one unexpected scene that left him, a veteran stunt coordinator with decades of experience under his belt, utterly impressed: a sequence in which a dog has to pick up the Epirus Bow on cue in the midst of a battle scene.

"The dog was incredible!" Malesci laughed. "This dog, his name is Crash. The dog was able to deal with anything we threw at it — fire, fighting, rocks. Amazing!"

Robyn Gets Busy With A Bellboy, On 'When I Was 17'

International pop star Robyn blends her futuristic sound with the sunny pop of her homeland, Sweden. This past Halloween, she headlined MTV's O Music Awards, and no one was left dancing alone during her showstopping set. The "Call Your Girlfriend" singer said performing at the awards show "was not like doing a TV show — it was a concert."

Robyn wasn't always landing gigs that big, but she has been singing girl-power anthems like "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)" since she was just a teenager. She reminisces about that time in her life on the next episode of "When I Was 17," airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV.

"When I was 16, I recorded my first album and it was released in Sweden and it did really well," she says on the episode, also featuring J. Cole and Chad Michael Murray. "So labels in America started to pay interest to what I was doing, and when I was 17, I signed a record contract in America."

Just like ABBA years before her, America kept this spunky Swedish girl busy — in more ways than one. "I spent all my time in hotels," she said. "I was constantly working and moving around. But I stayed a lot at this one hotel in New York, where I had a romance with the bellboy."

So what was her bellhop beau like? "He was my age, and his name was Alex. He was amazing. If anyone at the hotel would have found out that we had a thing going on, I don't think Alex would have been able to keep his job. There was a lot of sneaking around in the corridors."

"When I Was 17" — this week featuring Robyn, J. Cole and Chad Michael Murray — airs Saturday at 11 a.m ET/PT on MTV.

At 19, Nick Jonas is a musical-theater vet, having already starred in "Hairspray," "A Christmas Carol," "Les Misérables," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Annie Get Your Gun." So when fans heard he'd take over as the lead in the Broadway revival of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," it seemed like a natural fit for the pop star.

"It's really exciting. This is a show I love. I love the movie from the '60s," he told MTV News, before revealing it was his older brother who convinced him he was born to play the role of J. Pierpont Finch. "The opportunity came about basically [when] my brother Kevin went and saw the show on a Sunday and then flew to L.A. and was staying with me at my place on that Monday and he said, 'You have to see that show, you have to be in it one day,' " he recalled. "I knew there was an offer in place to do the role... so I said, 'OK, cool.'

"I sent an email and said, 'Hey, is this offer still there?' and they're like, 'Absolutely!' " he continued. "I flew out to New York and saw the show, loved it, had so many thoughts and ideas about what I could do with the character and signed on to the do the show."

Jonas will pick up where "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe and "Glee" actor Darren Criss left off. He'll take the stage officially in the role on January 24. "I'm so thrilled to be making my return to Broadway and have it be this show specifically, which is just one that my fans will connect with. And hopefully people that aren't as familiar with my work in the past will come out and make it their first experience," he said of the nearly six-month run, which wraps up July 1.

"This is a great show, and it's interesting, because it's one of the only roles that a young man can really carry the whole show and be the lead of a show, which is a thrill for me," he explained. "And I'm so honored Beau Bridges has just signed on [as J.B. Biggley], so the cast is amazing, and I'm just honored to be a part of it."

Accepting the job also means Jonas will relocate back to his native East Coast. "I'm preparing by sort of packing up my L.A. place and getting all my stuff over here," he said. "And I found my place in the city, which is fun, and probably late December getting in there and getting comfortable."

'Snow White And The Huntsman': What We Know So Far

We take a look back at how this Kristen Stewart/ Charlize Theron fractured fairy tale came to be.

After what has seemed like a very long wait, we finally have the first trailer for "Snow White and the Huntsman." The trailer's insane visuals won over movie fans when it premiered Thursday, and anticipation for the June 1 release is higher than ever before.

But it's important to remember how we got to this point. "Snow White and the Huntsman" traveled a long road filled with casting rumors, on-set injuries and rival productions, and as we celebrate the release of the trailer, let's take a look back at everything that's happened up until this point:

Casting Calls
For a long time, "Snow White and the Huntsman" was centered on the casting of Charlize Theron as Ravenna and Viggo Mortensen as the Huntsman, but even before then, talk had involved Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. Negotiations to get Mortensen into the picture eventually broke down. Kristen Stewart joined the equation soon afterward. Eventually, Chris Hemsworth got the nod, giving us the cast we see today.

Rival Projects
You've most likely heard by now, but we are in the midst of a full-out Snow White war. Two productions based on the classic fairy tale are slated to hit theaters next year, within three months of each other, nonetheless. Though the recently titled "Mirror, Mirror," starring Lily Collins and Julia Roberts, will be aimed at a much younger audience, according to director Tarsem Singh, such closely related projects are bound to draw comparisons. Earlier in development, the struggle came down to which movie would make it out of the gate first, the win ultimately going to "Mirror, Mirror," which hits in March. We'll just have to see which Snow White is the fairest of them all.

The Injury
A single tweet from "SWATH" co-star Max Manganello set off a wave of panic among Kristen Stewart fans. "It's a wrap for today. Kristen has hurt herself ... nothing scary. We shoot on Friday," the tweet read, but that was enough to set the Internet abuzz with rumors about the injury. In the end, it came out that Stewart had torn a ligament during a fight scene with the dwarves. Luckily, Stewart recovered, and filming wrapped without incident.

Rihanna Breaks Down 'Addictive' Single 'You Da One'

'I kind of just wanted to scale back, instead of having a look,' singer tells Ryan Seacrest of theme for November 21's Talk That Talk.

On Friday (November 11), Rihanna officially dropped the second single off her November 21 album, Talk That Talk, and "You da One" is as party-ready as the first single, "We Found Love." Produced by super producer Dr. Luke, "You da One" is a fist-pumping ode to the power of love, and that's what attracted Rihanna to it.

"This is one of those records, it becomes very addictive," she told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show on Friday morning. "To me, it's very infectious: the more you listen to it, the more you want to listen to it. It had a reggae vibe, but it's a sweet little love letter. I love the record. It's kind of dirty, I love it."

Rihanna also explained the theme for her highly anticipated album release, mirroring comments her "We Found Love" director Melina Matsoukas recently shared with MTV News about "how being really natural is forward-thinking"

"I kind of just wanted to scale back, instead of having a look," the singer said of Talk That Talk. "I didn't want to make it such a big deal, like what hair color. I wanted to go back to something simple, something flexible; something a little more natural. It's more about the music. I don't want to become a gimmick ever," she added, before joking, "Well, I ran out of colors so I decided to go back to my natural color!"

Early reaction to the sexy party album has been overwhelmingly positive, and the singer appreciates all of the love. "I'm so excited it's done. I feel so great," she said. "The snippets came out yesterday and people are really reacting. I know the songs that I love, and to see people react to them the same way that I do ... I got excited like I never heard it."

Jonah Hill Rode Kardashian Wedding 'Roller Coaster'

'I was with them on that journey,' he tells MTV News of watching Kim's wedding.

It seems that with all of the hullabaloo surrounding Kim Kardashian's brief marriage to Kris Humphries and their almost immediate divorce, people lost sight of the real victim: Jonah Hill.

During "MTV First: The Sitter," Hill spoke with MTV News' Josh Horowitz about his unabashed love of reality TV. "I am ashamed to say I watch that kind of stuff on TV. I don't like that hipster ironic stuff, where you're like, 'Oh, I watch it because it sucks,' " Hill said. "If you're going to watch it, at least admit that you're pathetic and watch that awful stuff on television. I know it rots my brain and rots society, but I don't care."

Hill's poison of choice is "Millionaire Matchmaker," but his love of reality TV doesn't stop there. It goes someplace much darker.

"I'm like an old Midwestern housewife. I don't know, man. It's pathetic. It really is," he said. "I'm in the wasteland. I watch VH1 like 'Full Court' with La La and stuff like that. 'Tough Love Miami 2.' I'm a disgusting person."

But when the conversation about reality TV turns to the Kardashians, things get serious for Hill very quickly. "I feel duped a little bit because I was all connected with the wedding. I watched the two-hour special. I was with them on that journey," Hill said.

The ups and downs of Kim's short marriage to Kris proved too much of a roller-coaster ride for Hill. "I was on that roller coaster, and then the roller coaster just stopped, and they said, 'Everybody off' when we were right at the top. I couldn't get off. What, am I going to plummet to my death if I get out of the roller coaster at this point?" Hill said.

So the lesson to learn here is that the reality stars of the world need to be more considerate. They have to remember: Jonah Hill is watching.

Jay-Z's 'Occupy' Shirt Won't Benefit Protests

'At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement,' rep says.

Jay-Z is set to drop a new T-shirt on Friday (November 11) that reads "Occupy All Streets," a play on the name of the Occupy Wall Street movement that has spread all over the country. On the shirt, the "w" in Wall is scratched out in red. Using the same red font, the shirt also throws a big "S" at the end of the word "street," serving as a very graphic visual of the pun.

"The 'Occupy All Streets' T-shirt was created in support of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement," a rep for Hova's Rocawear told Business Insider. "Rocawear strongly encourages all forms of constructive expression, whether it be artistic, political or social."

However, the rep confirms that none of the proceeds from sales of the shirt will fund the movement, which kicked off in downtown Manhattan in September before spreading across the country. " 'Occupy All Streets' is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street," the statement continues. "At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement."

On Tuesday night, Jay-Z was spotted wearing the shirt during a Watch the Throne tour stop at New York's Madison Square Garden. He was seen at the show with Russell Simmons, a fervent supporter of the movement, who seemed to approve of the shirt's message, tweeting, "Jay-Z just took #OccupyWallStreet to a whole new level. Wowowowowowoow."

Over the course of the last eight weeks, the rap community has shown interest in the movement by visiting New York's Zuccotti Park. Artists including Kanye West and Talib Kweli have visited the home site for the grassroots movement.

Katy Perry Would 'Love To Have Children' With Russell Brand

Katy Perry and Russell Brand celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary last month, and now Perry is talking about starting a family ... eventually.

During her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which airs Friday (November 11), Perry was asked whether she and Brand have been making baby plans (you know, when she's not out on her unending California Dreams Tour), and she answered that yes, they've discussed it, but that's about as far as things have gone.

"I would love to have children. I think that's one of the reasons you get married, and especially to the person that you marry. You think, Hmmm, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent," Perry told DeGeneres. "But I'm not sure it's yet. We'll see, you know?"

DeGeneres asked whether Perry wanted to have more than one baby, to which the singer replied, "If it doesn't hurt the first time, I'll keep popping them out."

"Word around town is it hurts," DeGeneres joked. "But people keep doing it anyway — they don't care."

Perry also talked about how she and Brand manage their busy schedules, saying they have a self-imposed two-week limit on time apart. "I saw him yesterday," she said. "[It had been] two weeks, that's the longest we ever go. Anything longer than that is not fun."

The couple were married on October 23, 2010, in a "private and spiritual ceremony" in India, one that not surprisingly received more than its fair share of tabloid coverage. A few weeks after the wedding, Perry told MTV News that she found all the rumors and speculation to be quite amusing, and added that she was "too busy getting married" to keep up with all the coverage.

"I don't mind my wedding has turned into kind of a myth. It's kind of cool," she said. "We kept it kind of private, so when we heard some of the things that were going around we were like, 'Ah, that's hilarious."

Nicki Minaj is up for two American Music Awards, and she will host the A-list bash with Pitbull.

Now comes word that the colorful MC will also take the stage. She's set to kick off the show with David Guetta.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the duo who recorded the track "Where Them Girls At?" for Guetta's album Nothing but the Beat will start the party, which will also include performances by Chris Brown, Katy Perry, LMFAO, Marc Anthony, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Maroon 5.

Guetta and Minaj began their love affair when they hit the studio to record the club track. When MTV News spoke to Guetta, the French DJ had only the nicest things to say about the fiery rapper.

"It was an amazing start working together because I really wanted to work some more with her. I'm a really huge fan. To be honest, it's very rare that I call artists — most of the time they call me. I've been chasing her for like a year because I really wanted to work with her," Guetta confessed.

Minaj has made it clear that the love goes both ways. "He really is a master — a master at his craft," Minaj said earlier this year. "He's got it down pat. For me to link up with him, I'm just honored that he was reaching out. When I met him, I liked him instantly. He's sweet, he's humble, he's funny, and he's just a person you want to be around."

To see what these two have up their sleeves at the show, check out the AMAs when they are broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on November 20 at 8 p.m. on ABC. The show will be preceded by a one-hour red-carpet special at 7 p.m.
