A 20-something rap phenom with an eye for the finer things, Drake is finding that when it comes to the ladies, not all of them share his champagne taste. In an exclusive outtake from the documentary "Drake: Better Than Good Enough," the Young Money MC visits New Orleans radio station Q93.3, where he spits a freestyle that goes in about everything from finances to females.

"Why has every woman never dined here before?/ Am I the only 23-year-old wine connoisseur?" Drizzy wonders, as the room erupts with rowdy howls co-signing the hip-hop star's rhyming skills.

The full-length doc depicts the months before Drake dropped his hotly anticipated debut, Thank Me Later. But the freestyle sequence showcases one of the qualities that has made Drake a breakout star: his charismatic, hyper-informed flow. The outtake also captures the heightened buzz that preceded his first major-label offering, as the radio DJ coaxes the star into giving "a preview" of the kinds of bars to come on Later.

Ready to flex his lyrical chops, the scene opens with Drizzy animatedly accepting the challenge. A focused Drake even refuses an instrumental ("No beat," the star insists), spitting a verse a cappella.

"Please make your long story shorter/ Time is of the essence for the king of second quarter/ Numbers do the talking/ I have nothing for reporters/ I just hope we make these flights and don't get held up at the border," Drake spits.

The verse demonstrates his trademark verbal agility ("Jumpin' to the top/ This my leap year"); his witty humor ("I got new girls / But none of they love is for certain/ And call old girls/ But none of they numbers are workin'); and his easy candor ("They ain't rootin' for me/ They ain't clappin' for me/ I'm only saying, can somebody just be happy for me?").

As the station dissolve into hollers of approval, Drake's Young Money associate Mack Maine tosses out a challenge to any rappers ready to step to the Toronto MC.

"I got a mil' on Drake!" Maine shouts gleefully. "Against any of y'all! — old school, new school, need to know this!"

MTV followed Drake in the weeks leading up to the release of his new LP, Thank Me Later. The "Drake: Better Than Good Enough" documentary will re-air on MTV Saturday at 12 p.m. and 9 p.m., Sunday at 9 a.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. on MTV2.

It's been over a decade since his last solo album, but when Dr. Dre was honored with ASCAP's Founders Award Friday night, it was a reminder to everyone that the doctor is still one of hip-hop's biggest pioneers in the game today.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers held it's 23rd annual Rhythm and Soul Music Awards last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, where some of music's biggest names were recognized for their contributions to music.

The biggest award of the night was handed to Dr. Dre for his achievements in the music industry and for inspiring and influencing his fellow music makers. The ASCAP association put together a presentation package that played across the big screens, highlighting some of Dre's greatest quotes. One moment that had the audience cheering was Dre's stab at critics, saying, "You can't critique my sh-- unless you have done half of the stuff I have accomplished."

Shortly after the piece ended, DJ Kid Capri took the stage to perform a set of songs chronicling Dr. Dre's career that included early hits such as "Keep Their Heads Ringin'," "Let Me Ride," and "Gin and Juice" as well as more recent Dre productions such as "In Da Club," "Family Affair," and "Rich Girl."

Eminem made a rare, surprise appearance to present the award to Dr. Dre, whom he thanked for believing in him. "It would have been a lot easier for Dre to dismiss me like most people did," Eminem stated. "But he didn't. He stepped up to the challenge because he saw something in me. ... He changed the face of music and he changed my life."

Dre then took the stage to accept the award, pausing during his speech as he fought back tears. "I'm living an incredible life," he said. "Making a living doing what I love and having people love it. I can't even explain what that feels like."

Dre went on to pay respects to his mother, who became pregnant with him at the age of 15. "She was always told by family, friends and neighbors or whatever, she was going to ruin her life and mine," he said.

He also thanked his wife, whom he described as his in-house A&R and playfully promised her he was going to give her "something real special for this tonight." Closing out his speech, he thanked Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records, for being with him through his ups and downs, and last but certainly not least, his fans.

Some of the other top awards handed out Friday were Songwriter of the Year, which Jimmy Jam presented to Ne-Yo and the hit-making duo C. "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream, who tied with six chart-topping singles each. T.I. graced the stage to present fellow Atlantans Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin and Manuel Seal with Song of the Decade for "We Belong Together." Matthew "Boi-1da" Samuels was honored for last year's smash hit "Best I Ever Had," which he wrote for Drake. "Blame It" by Jamie Foxx and featuring T-Pain earned writers Christopher Henderson, Brandon "Note" Melancon, The-Dream, C. "Tricky" Stewart, and Nate Walka the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song of the Year. And Big Boi presented the ASCAP Vanguard Award to his friend and "high funktress" Janelle Monae, who accepted the award on behalf of her team the Wondaland Arts Society.

The evening also featured performances by Jermaine Dupri's newest artist Dondria, R&B crooner Miguel and rapper Gucci Mane.

After selling out their upcoming concert at New York's Yankee Stadium before tickets even officially went on sale, Eminem and Jay-Z took the stage on the "Late Show With David Letterman" Friday night. The two veteran MCs are promoting their co-headlining hometown stadium performances in Detroit's Comerica Park and Yankee Stadium this September.

Eminem, sporting a black jacket, jeans and a white shirt, began by presenting the comedic "Late Show Top Ten" list segment featuring his "Pieces of Advice for the Kids."

"If I sign something for you and I see it on eBay, when you go home, I'm gonna be under your bed," Eminem joked, struggling to keep a straight face. He continued with, "Always purchase music through authorized retailers that pay royalties to the artists," and "Remember the magic words: 'Please,' 'Thank You' and 'Step Off Bitch.' "

Jay-Z followed Em by sitting down and chatting with Letterman about his and the Detroit MC's working relationship. "We did a song on my album called Blueprint — the first one, I've got a lot of them — called 'Renegade' and it was good," Jay said. "When you make good songs, you become friends."

Letterman then asked why the pair are just deciding to tour together now.

"Em is a notorious non-tourer," said Jay.

Later, Hov almost argued the positives of NBA baller LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers and joining the New Jersey Nets, which the rapper co-owns, before stopping himself.

"There's rules and guidelines that I want to be very certain to follow," Jay told Letterman. "Everyone would love to have a LeBron James on their team. He's a free agent come July 1. We're gonna try after July."

Letterman disagreed with Jay's interest in James, saying, "If LeBron James wants to be a guy, he will stay where he is and not cut the heart out of that city by leaving Cleveland." At press time, the basketball player's decision is still anyone's guess.

Then Jay and Eminem's pre-taped performance rolled. The gents played three songs with a live band, opening with Eminem's latest single "Not Afraid" before moving into Jay's "On to the Next One" from 2009's The Blueprint 3. As a grand finale, the pair performed "Renegade," their first collaboration from Hov's 2001 album The Blueprint. The mini-concert was originally filmed earlier this week atop the Ed Sullivan Theater.

The arrival of "The Dark Knight" in 2008 reminded cinema enthusiasts everywhere why filmmaker Christopher Nolan should be taken seriously. Comic book fans and mainstream moviegoers alike have patiently waited for an announcement regarding a third Nolan-helmed "Batman" film ("Batman Begins" was the first) ever since the closing credits on the most recent examination of Gotham City's gritty streets. Thankfully, Nolan himself is beginning to think about his "Dark Knight" follow-up as well.

At a press junket promoting Nolan's latest project, "Inception," the upcoming psychological thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio, the filmmaker told MTV News that he's already thinking about "Batman 3" — well, sort of. "Yes and no I suppose would be the answer," he said. "We know we're aiming for 2012 [as a release date]. That's been talked about. We're just working on the script, really. My brother [Jonah Nolan] has been hard at work on it for quite some time. It's based on a story that myself and David Goyer have written."

Nolan has previously discussed the third "Batman" film in broad strokes. For example, he's said that the Joker won't appear in the film, effectively ending speculation that the late Heath Ledger's Oscar-winning role would be recast. But beyond speaking about the project in general terms, Nolan isn't ready to discuss "Batman 3" in too much detail — though that fact should change once his work on "Inception" is fully finished in a few weeks.

"I've been very completely in this movie," he said about his work on "Inception," which arrives in theaters on July 16. "In a couple of weeks, I'll surface and figure out what I'm doing next and how I'm going to approach it."

Check out everything we've got on "Inception."

Sunday marks the 17th year of National Annual HIV Testing Day, and as part of MTV's GYT: Get Yourself Tested campaign, R&B star Ciara wants everyone to make sure they are informed of their status.

"You gotta do it," Ciara told MTV News' Sway about getting tested. "Knowing is greater than doubt."

The GYT campaign was launched to help combat STDs among young people around the country. Statistics demonstrate that young Americans must remain vigilant when it comes to STDs. One in two people will contract an STD by age 25, and many of those people will get an STD without realizing it. In addition, one out of every five people in the U.S. has HIV and doesn't know it.

The R&B star also urges young people to get tested because knowing what's up with your health makes it much easier to deal with: "You'll feel so much better if you know what's going on with your body, and you don't want to be surprised."

To learn how to find events and free HIV-testing locations, young people can check out MTV's GYTnow.org. The site also has key facts about HIV/AIDS as well as ways young people can broach the subject of getting tested with their significant others.

Young people who do get tested soon will join another high-profile person who has recently committed to knowing his status. "I'm about to go get tested right now when we get done," Sway confided in Ciara during their interview. "You convinced me."

For her part, Ciara seemed excited that her words were having an immediate effect. "Perfect!" said the star, with a triumphant fist-pump. "It worked!"
