UNIVERSAL CITY, California -- They've been an underground sensation, an independent film, and an out-of-left-field hit. Tonight, the stars of "Twilight" took their ascension to the ultimate level: Best Movie winners.

"We're going to Disneyland!" Peter Facinelli screamed backstage, surrounded by the Cullen clan moments after receiving the Golden Popcorn for best film of the year.

"I feel fantastic, amazing," Ashley Greene marveled. "We won a lot of things!"

"We did well," Michael Welch agreed. "We won five out of seven, because Taylor and Rob couldn't both win, and then there was Best Song (won by Miley Cyrus)."

"Of course, we're all excited about best picture. But I'm also so excited for Kristen," Ashley said, adding that Stewart's win was an extra-special moment for the cast. "Because she won Best Female, it wasn't one of the 'breakouts' -- she was in a heavy-hitting category. I'm proud of her!"

"I'm proud of all my family right now," grinned Elizabeth Reaser, who plays Cullen matriarch Esme in the film series.

"I think it was pretty clear that Catherine should talk," Welch explained backstage, saying that the cast agreed beforehand to let director Hardwicke give the acceptance speech should they win -- but only because another main creative influence wasn't in the house. "Stephenie [Meyer] should have been here and, as Kristen said, accepted every award. Because this really is all her."

As they celebrated their wins backstage, the "Twilight" stars all agreed it would be a night they'd never forget.

"Brüno landing on Eminem!" Facinelli said when asked about his favorite non-"Twilight" moment.

"I loved Kings of Leon," Taylor Lautner added.

But even those moments paled in comparison to the coronation of "Twilight." "I feel like a winner," Ashley Greene laughed.

"It's kind of insane," Reaser agreed, as the cast all headed out into the night. "We kind of need to go party right now."

'Twilight' Rules The Night At MTV Movie Awards

Eminem makes his triumphant return to the stage, before having an awkward encounter with Brüno.

It was hard to know who was more jacked up about Sunday night's (May 31) MTV Movie Awards: Eminem's supporters or "Twilight" fanatics. Both went home fully satisfied, though, because Slim Shady brought the heat in his first MTV performance in years and "Twilight" ruled the night, picking up five awards during the raucous show, hosted by "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Andy Samberg.

Samberg set the tone early, opening the night from a dingy port-a-potty in Mumbai and diving down into muck while holding up a crumpled snapshot of "Sex in the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker then showing up to partner with none other than Edward Cullen in high school science lab. He was swiftly beamed naked to the Starship Enterprise and ultimately ended up in a limo with pal Justin Timberlake, which was ... awkward.

It might have been the only awards show on record where the host began the evening by freestyling a series of audience disses in which he dubbed hottie Megan Fox "ugly" and staged an impromptu intervention for a fellow "SNL" castmate, complete with a Dr. Drew cameo. Oh, and he set up some simple rules early on: It was OK to fart (he was looking at you, Leighton Meester) and no punching (that's you, Kiefer Sutherland). Otherwise, it was game on.

The night's first hardware was in the Breakthrough Performance Female category, with "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" star Ashley Tisdale picking up her award while rocking a super-mini gray dress.

"Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf did the honors for Best Fight, which went to Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet for their epic battle in "Twilight." Straining to be heard over the screams of female (and maybe a couple of male) fans, Pattinson admitted, "I should just say that in reality, Cam would have beaten me hands down, so I have to say thank you to my stunt double, who did everything in the fight."

And then it was time for Eminem to make his long-awaited return to the MTV stage with a high-energy medley of the first two singles from his #1 comeback album, Relapse, which he began by asking the crowd, "You miss me?"

Strolling down the steps surrounded by a brassy New Orleans-style street band, Em bounced and crept across the stage, spitting the rapid-fire smackdown rhymes from "We Made You," as the lyrics scrolled in huge letters on the DayGlo set. That segued into the slow soul bounce of "Crack a Bottle," with Em profanely and confidently retaking his mantle as the nimble MC you love to hate. Also performing later in the night were immaculately disheveled Southern family act Kings of Leon, who rocked the stage with their arena-size smoldering hit "Use Somebody."

Not content to just hand out awards and dis stars in the audience, the show also featured a pulse-pounding look at footage from "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and the sneak everyone was waiting so breathlessly for: "Twilight" sequel "New Moon."

Samberg kept things moving all night with comedy bits that included a heartland ballad about cool guys in movies who know the importance of not looking backward at explosions, on which he was joined by Neil Diamond (actually Will Ferrell) and J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek") on synthesizer. Even better was a symphonic medley of his "SNL" digital-short classics "Ji-- in My Pants," "I'm On a Boat" and "Lazy Sunday" by LeAnn Rimes and Chris Isaak, with Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker bringing it all home with an operatic "Di-- in a Box."

Cracking jokes about the manscaping habits of boyfriend Zac Efron, Jonah Hill made Vanessa Hudgens really uncomfortable with his intro to the Breakthrough Performance Male award, which, of course, went to Pattinson. Clearly the man of the night, Pattinson tried to tamp down the squeal factor by admitting, "I don't know how many more of these awards I can come up for, because I think there's a little bit coming out of my pants right now." Well played, Mr. Cullen.

The night also featured an angelic visit from Sacha Baron Cohen's gay fashionisto Brüno, flying over the crowd in a white gladiator suit with wings and chaps. And, in the second instance of man butt-to-face action of the night, he landed in Eminem's lap with his exposed rear in the MC's face. Unlike his Triumph the Insult Comic Dog smackdown from 2002, though, Em kept it relatively cool this time, squirming and growling, "Are you serious. Are you f---ing serious? Get this mother----er off me." After Slim Shady's posse roughed Brüno up a bit, the rapper angrily left the room.

Accepting the award for Best Male Performance for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," Efron admitted, "That was really weird," after Brüno, still dangling above the crowd, announced his win.

Given the nominees, the Best Kiss category was bound to feature man-on-man action, but lo and behold, it was Pattinson once again, waltzing up with co-star Kristen Stewart to accept his third Golden Popcorn statue, spitting out his gum and then waiting patiently with eyes closed as Stewart ... dissed him and walked away with the award.

The inaugural Best WTF Moment went to an F-bomb-dropping Amy Poehler for her work in "Baby Mama." And although she couldn't be there to accept it, she made sure to thank host Andy Sandwich anyway. Lil Wayne took the opportunity to pump his acting career while presenting the Best Song From a Movie award, which went to Miley Cyrus for "The Climb," from "Hannah Montana: The Movie," one of the few "Twilight" upsets of the night.

Well, besides the fake, home-cooked teaser Samberg made for the "New Moon" trailer, featuring Teen Wolf. The host described his clip as a "life lesson," explaining, "Life isn't all celebrities and hunky vampires. Sometimes life is slightly less-hunky vampires and Teen Wolves, and that's OK!"

Ben Stiller was on hand to accept this year's MTV Generation Award for his work in such iconic films as "Meet the Fockers," "Tropic Thunder," "Dodgeball," "Zoolander" and "There's Something About Mary," accepting the honor from Efron, Kiefer Sutherland and Triumph, who, of course, pooped on him, repeatedly calling him a monkey.

"When MTV gave me my first show 18 years ago, I never imaged that someday I'd be up here getting this award," Stiller said, as Sutherland weepily hugged him, still overcome from his reverence for Stiller's comedic genius. "It's every actor's dream to be honored and have a moment in the spotlight like this."

Though she was up against such Oscar bait as Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway and Taraji P. Henson for Best Female Performance, it was "Twilight" time again as Stewart took the prize. "This is really awesome," she said, paying homage to the series' author, Stephenie Meyer, and the rabid fans before accidentally dropping the award. The Best Comedic Performance award went to Movie Awards fave Jim Carrey for his work in "Yes Man." Carrey was so stunned, he lapsed into voice-over as his mind went blank and he fretted about freezing up "in front of my peers, in front of the good-looking kid from 'Twilight.' "

Summoning all his courage, the best he could do was, "There wouldn't be a swine flu if we treated the pigs better! Thank you." The Best Villain win went posthumously to the late Heath Ledger for his harrowing work as the Joker in "The Dark Knight."

And, in the night's final award, Oscar winner Denzel Washington had the envelope for Best Movie, which pitted "The Dark Knight," "Slumdog Millionaire," High School Musical 3: Senior Year" and "Iron Man" against the night's strongest force, "Twilight." Director Catherine Hardwicke picked up the gold and thanked the "super-passionate" fans and Meyer as the cast surrounded her and basked in the audience's love one more time.

Brüno Lands On Eminem During Awkward MTV Movie Awards Moment

Posted: 31 May 2009 07:34 AM PDT

Em seemed displeased at his close view of Brüno's lower half.
By Eric Ditzian

If the 2009 MTV Movie Awards had an award for Most Outrageous Presenter, it would surely go to Brüno, who surprised an unamused Eminem with a front-row view of his manhood.

When it was his turn to present the Golden Popcorn statue for Best Male Performance, Brüno, the gay Austrian fashion reporter, descended via wires from the rafters dressed as some sort of S&M angel — if an angel would be wearing oversized wings, a white gladiator's costume and a jockstrap — and introduced himself in German, "Ich bin Brüno." He then appeared to get caught up in his suspension wires, flipping upside down and writhing in apparent pain before asking to be lowered to the floor.

His request was quickly granted and he crashed to the ground — upside-down and directly on top of Eminem, wrapping his legs around the rapper's head, exposing his bare buttocks within inches of Em's face. "Eminem, nice to meet you," said Brüno.

Eminem, who had just returned to his seat after performing a medley of two tracks from his new album, Relapse, was not pleased. "Are you serious?" he said, uttering an expletive and demanding that his bodyguards get Brüno off of him.

A minor melee ensued as Brüno continued to dangle above Em and Em's protectors tried in vain to remove a winged Brüno from their row of seats.

"Hey, don't touch me guys!" cried the Austrian. "I've already got a boyfriend. Hey guys, let's continue this in my hotel room!"

As Em left his seat, Brüno asked, "Is the real Slim Shady about to stand up?"

Stand up he did. He then proceeded to leave the auditorium as cameras followed his exit.

Meanwhile, Brüno was still suspended haphazardly above the crowd, yet still managed to present the Best Male Performance award. "The winner is Zac Efron for 'High School Musical,' " he said.

A nonplussed-looking Efron had a tough act to follow — "That was really weird!," he said — but he was gracious in his thanks for his award, singling out MTV and "the most amazing fans in the world," as well as his "HSM" castmates.

Robert Pattinson's Best Fight Trophy 'Made Me Feel Really Tough'

'Twilight' co-star Cam Gigandet wins award for second consecutive year.

Two vampires triumphed over Batman and the Joker at this year's MTV Movie Awards, as Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet of "Twilight" fame punched and kicked their way to victory over Christian Bale and Heath Ledger in the Best Fight category.

After the duo accepted their Golden Popcorn statue, MTV News caught up with the actors backstage at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre to get their thoughts on what the win means to them and how life has changed since "Twilight" became an international phenomenon.

"It's completely polar opposite," Pattinson confessed. "I don't even think anybody knew who I was last year."

Not that he's complaining now. In fact, the win for Best Fight had special significance for the 23-year-old Brit. "It made me feel really tough," he said. "Really hard. I don't think I've ever won a fight in my life. It was cool."

Pattinson also complimented his co-award-winner for his second straight victory in the category. At last year's Movie Awards, Gigandet and "Never Back Down" co-star Sean Faris took home the award thanks to a mixed martial arts brawl. "That's crazy how he won twice in a row," Pattinson said.

Gigandet himself was equally impressed. "It's amazing," he said. "For the second time, it was just as amazing."

How'd he pull off the Movie Awards repeat? "Just born talent," he said with a laugh.

While the award was the same, the circumstances surrounding each film were vastly different. " 'Twilight' was different than 'Never Back Down.' It's just a whole-new-world type of situation. It's all just so surreal," Gigandet said.

His "Twilight" character died during the first movie, so the actor hasn't joined Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and others for the second installment in franchise, "New Moon." Thus, he was happy to connect with his friends after a long time apart.

"I haven't seen any of them," he said. "It's good to see them all. They're all working and they're all doing a lot of stuff right now. They're going to keep the series going," he continued as he shifted to avoid workers carting a set of stadium seats through the lot. "And we're going to get run over, which is kind of fun!"

Drake Feels 'Blessed' To Have Lil Wayne As A Mentor

Plus: Jadakiss working on new music with Cam'ron for joint tour; Dead Prez still looking out for the People, in Mixtape Daily.

It's a new week — let's all get new money and make this history. Mixtape Daily keeps rolling. We're rammed with that killer content this week. Jadakiss reveals that he and Killa Cam have more tracks coming, and Drake tells us what it's like to roll with Lil Wayne.

Also, we have Dead Prez and Green Lantern come talking about their new collaboration. Funny story: When the DPZ came up for their interview, Red and Meth were up here at the same time. It was a dope hip-hop moment to see both groups show love and respect to one another, with no cameras running. Real, genuine saluting.

This Week's Main Pick

Street Kings: Dead Prez

Mixmaster: DJ Green Lantern

Holding It Down For: The Revolution

Street Album: Pulse of the People: Turn Off the Radio, Vol. 3

Real Spit: Just 'cause Obama is in office now doesn't mean things are all good with the DPZ. M-1 and Stic.man still represent for the struggle. And as you can see from the daily headlines, times are hard for a lot of people. The political rap duo are readying their next proper album, Information Age, the follow-up to 2004's Revolutionary but Gangsta. But while they figure out whether to sign to a major or release the project themselves, they hooked up with Green Lantern to bring their scriptures to the streets. Pulse of the People: Turn Off the Radio, Vol. 3 is due June 23.

"We been busy. We might not have hit MTV, but we been grindin'," Stic told us recently about the guys' whereabouts. "Working with Green has been a blessing. Green is the ear to the street. He probably told us that 100 times. 'Boom, we gonna make sure we hit the streets. The streets need to feel what y'all bring.' He created the vibration with the music that made that easy to pull that out. I ain't have to produce nothing, so it was a lot quicker [to put this together], so it was good. With the mixtape, it's like we were in the trenches, and it's good. It's like, 'What you got? You got something hot or not? We don't got all day. Come with it.' So that keeps us sharp."

The Evil Genius hosts the tape and produced the majority of the project, with Bun B on "Don't Hate My Grind" and Styles P on "Gangsta, Gangster." Chuck D joins the revolution on "Refuse to Lose," which also features Avery Storm.

The Master Plan: "We inching closer and closer to independence," Stic said about Dead Prez's next album. "That's the real major, is our independence. You have to be strategic. You have to play chess. You have to pimp the system. You have to take advantage of the resources that's available. So that's our philosophy: to never compromise who we are or compromise what our agenda is musically but to be flexible enough to get it out to the most people in the right situation. But we been growing, and our independent movement, the way the music industry is looking, the independent move is looking bigger, at least check-wise, at the end of the day. But it's about pushing forward, not backwards."

Joints To Check For

» "Afrika Hot!" "I think it's gonna speak to our international audience in a very profound way," M said. "In it, the hook, it speaks in Arabic, then it speaks in Swahili, but all in all, the message is for Africa to speak for itself, throw the shackles off. Green killed the beat. It literally sounds like you're on a camel. Like, you're on a camel in the middle of Mogadishu or Darfur or the middle of the 'hood under heavy patrol. I think it's cool, and we stand up for the people."

» "Summer Time." "Just the vibe, it's a good vibe [on that song]," Stic explained. "Appreciating when the sun comes out. It don't shine forever, so when it comes, we try to soak it up. For me, doing songs like 'Happiness' on Let's Get Free, it's always a good place to go, 'cause you have to find your own happiness in the middle of the struggle. It's not after the struggle is over; you have to find that happiness while you're in it. So that song is important."

» "Warpath" "One of the engineers I work with, his name is Eric Gorman, he was playing me music one day," Green said. "He has a group called Ratfink and would make this music that sounds real analog, old-school. Like if the Dap-Kings do '60s-soul-sounding stuff, they do early '70s-funk-kinda sounds. I listened to it, like, 'Oh, I can sample this. That's crazy. I'm just gonna put drums and a bass line on it.' He was playing it for me, and the words were crazy. It's about a renegade police officer. The whole song came to my head, and Stic does an overview of the police department, and then M comes in as the renegade police officer, and we screwed his voice, where it sounds real demonic."

The Streets Is Talking: News & Notes From The Underground

Drake couldn't feel better. He has one of the biggest buzzes in the music biz and only just started working on his debut LP. Drizzy loves the accolades from fans and especially from his camp, Young Money. He says he's "blessed" to have the support of Lil Wayne.

"Wayne is another one that — rap-wise, verse-wise — was my favorite," he told us. "And to be under his wing, to be able to interact with him on a daily basis and talk to him and get information from him, I'm in a blessed position. I have the greatest mentors, the greatest teachers in the world. They all have gradually started to embrace me more and more, so it's a great feeling." ...

Jadakiss is gearing up to hit the road with Cam'ron this summer on the Big Bosses Tour and says he and Killa will have more collaborative material for the stage.

"We actually working on a few more songs right now," Jada said of his and Cam's recordings. "I'm about to throw him on the 'Who's Real' remix. Hopefully him and Kanye. We're about to just trade off two or three more songs each, and we're gonna rock. We're doing House of Blues-type joints. 'Hood venues — but not too 'hood."

Jada is excited to go out on the road with an old friend.

"Killa's my homie from back in the day in the Mase era," 'Kiss said. "Mase introduced me to him before he had the Dipset. It was just [Cam] and [Jim] Jones running with [former label exec] Un. It's love. We're from the same era, so we appreciate the same things. We know about getting to the money, grinding before the game changed."

Now that Andy Samberg has killed it as this year's host of the MTV Movie Awards, he's officially part of the MTV family. And although there are many perks that come along with that prestigious honor, he is looking forward to one in particular.

"This means I get invited to all the MTV parties now," he said just moments after the show ended, adding that his nerves really kicked into high gear as the big event started. "I think it went well."

The one aspect of the show that did take Samberg by surprise was the amount of Golden Popcorn statues that "Twilight" won. "A lot of 'Twilight' fans," he said. "I don't know where that came from. No one expected that."

Samberg — who was really happy with the Lonely Island medley starring LeAnn Rimes, Chris Isaak and Forest Whitaker — said he had no doubt that the "Last King of Scotland" actor could belt out "Di-- in a Box." "Forest Whitaker is a great dude," he said of the actor, who performed a singing-waiter skit when he hosted "Saturday Night Live." "He can blow it out. I know that. I was like, 'Oh my God! He's gonna come out and kill it.' "

The awards show was filled with celebrities, but it was business as usual for Samberg, who deals with stars week after week. " 'SNL' makes you a little bit relaxed," he said. "But it's still exciting."

With the show over, Samberg revealed that he had two options for celebrating a successful run as host: either "lay low," or "I might set the L.A. night on fire."

Ben Stiller On Accepting Generation Award: 'That Was Really Fun!'

We talk to the actor backstage to get his thoughts on being honored by Zac Efron, Kiefer Sutherland and Triumph.

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Ben Stiller was honored by the likes of Keifer Sutherland, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and Zac Efron prior to accepting his MTV Generation Award at this year's Movie Awards, and he explained to MTV News just where that idea came from.

"That was really fun," Stiller said. "We thought it was pretty funny at the Oscars this year when all the nominees were lauded by their peers in a serious way. We wanted to play around with that."

And even though he came to the show knowing he was going to win an award, that doesn't mean he was any less nervous about hitting the stage to accept it. "I'll always find a way to stress out about anything," he said. "If I won, if I'm thinking I'm going to win. If I don't think I'm going to win. I feel we had a nice balance [up there]."

He only had kind things to say about the men who honored him — for the most part. "Triumph, probably, I was the least impressed with," he said. "But Zac is the sweetest guy. Kiefer, for me, [was awesome]. I'm a huge '24' fan."

Stiller has some advice for any future Generation Award winners that may spring from the "Twilight" cast. "I feel like the 'Twilight' stars ... I just want them to have something to eat," he said. "I just want them to have a bite. It's blood and gothic."

'Twilight' Superfans 'Impressed' By 'New Moon' Trailer

'My mouth was open the whole entire sneak peek!' one MTV commenter writes.
By Larry Carroll

UNIVERSAL CITY, California -- The only thing better than watching a hot new video clip is sharing your thoughts on that video with friends. So naturally, when the "New Moon" trailer debuted at the MTV Movie Awards, we were eager to hear the opinions of Twilighters worldwide.

"Aahhhh!!! That was amazing!!!" wrote MTV user Minsen Brook on our site, clearly moved to the point of exclamation-point-key abuse. "I'm going to be an emotional wreck at the movies -- because I cried just watching the trailer!!"

"The fact that they showed, like, the most infamous scene of 'New Moon,' oh my gosh!" marveled popular "Twilight" vlogger Bailey "NoMoreMarbles" Gauthier, who served as a seat filler for the awards and watched the trailer premiere live in the Gibson Amphitheatre. "And Jasper just goes over [to kill Bella]. ... I must say, I was extremely surprised when [Taylor Lautner] turned into the werewolf. I was like, 'Whoa!' "

"I almost fainted when I saw Taylor shirtless," wrote xEmBx on MTV.com. "Can't wait for the rest of the wolfie boys."

"Oh my ... wow. I just have no words," exclaimed HarlequinTwilight. "I am dreading the breakup scene, because in the book, it's so harsh that it makes me cry, and if it's done correctly, I know it will break my heart all over again. Taylor looks ... Oh. Wow. My sister repeatedly rewound the trailer over and over to see Taylor, haha. But wow, he looks amazingly hot!"

Over at the MTV Movies Blog, M!chelle was similarly abusing her exclamation-point and caps-lock keys. "OHMYGOD! I am IMPRESSED! I am so freakin' excited," she wrote. "My mouth was open the whole entire sneak peek! November seems so long away!"

"This is probably one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!" added BookloverbutMoviewatcher.

But despite the warm reception, some fans still found a few tidbits that raised "New Moon" concerns. "Everything is GREAT except the wolf ... it looks too much like a cartoon!" Little Hawk wrote on the blog. "It's almost like Little Red Riding Hood should come out and say, 'I like Twilight too,' as the wolf chases her. Summit, do something, please!"

"The first time I watched it, I was totally disappointed," wrote blog reader Jawaiiannative, saying the trailer exposed too many variations from Stephenie Meyer's novel. "At the party, the other members of the Cullen family hold Jasper back. In the woods, when Edward leaves Bella (*tear*), he was a lot harsher and totally didn't kiss her."

But overall, the positive vibes were definitely flowing toward the "Twilight" stars -- particularly Mr. Taylor Lautner. "OMJB!!! I was already a TEAM JACOB girl, but wow!!!" wrote blog reader Freakyvirgo. "I bet more will convert after this!! Taylor is sooo Jacob!!! The trailer was great."

"I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY JACOB," agreed Biridiana, clearly a Team Jacob member. "DAAAM HE SO YUMMY!"

"The trailer was AMAZING!!!" marveled Idontloveyou on MTV.com. "The paper cut scene is just like I imagined it in the book! Edward shoving Jasper across the room into the piano to protect Bella is AWESOME! Jacob's transformation IS MADE OF WIN! The special effects KICK MAJOR BUTT! I am SO excited! November cannot come sooner!"

Long before Brüno and Eminem, er, met at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and the rapper had a feud that played out in front of the MTV viewers at the 2002 Video Music Awards.

So who better than Triumph to comment on a more-or-less naked Brüno falling from the ceiling and landing on Eminem, causing the rapper to leave the Gibson Amphitheatre. "I'm a legend," Triumph told MTV News. "And I sat on Eminem's face long before Bruüno ever did."

But just because both Brüno and Triumph angered Eminem at an MTV awards show doesn't mean that Triumph is ready to start a feud with Bruüno. "It's fine, because those days are over for me and Eminem," he said. "We're tight. We're tighter than Gloria Vanderbilt's a--."

For those of you who may not be familiar with what Triumph is referring to about this year's newly minted feud between Bruüno and Eminem, here's the recap. When it was his turn to present the Golden Popcorn statue for Best Male Performance, Brüno descended via wires from the rafters dressed as a bizarre, S&M cross between an angel and a gladiator.

He then appeared to get caught up in his suspension wires, flipping upside down and crashing to the ground — upside-down and directly on top of Eminem, wrapping his legs around the rapper's head, exposing his bare buttocks within inches of Em's face.

The wait is over. The "New Moon" trailer has just debuted on the MTV Movie Awards telecast, and it's got tons of buzzworthy stuff for Stephenie Meyer fans to chew over.

Forget about birthdays, graduations and all that overrated holiday stuff; in the eyes of Twilighters worldwide, today is one of the most important days of the year. Naturally, MTV is celebrating this momentous movie moment with one of our patented shot-by-shot breakdowns. Read along, click play — and repeat. And while you're at it, turn on your video cameras and upload your reaction to YouRHere.MTV.com.

Shot 1: A nice aerial view of the coast, over La Push beach. Pretty enough to rival any of Catherine Hardwicke's beautiful outdoor shots from the first film.

Shot 2: Bella's iconic truck pulls up in front of Charlie's house.

Shot 3: Bella looks into Edward's eyes: "It's my birthday. Can I ask you something?"

Shot 4: A close-up of Kristen Stewart: "Kiss me." How awesome is that arched eyebrow? Better watch out, Dwayne Johnson; KStew is muscling in on your territory!

Shot 5: Edward leans in. Look out, ladies!

Shot 6: Bella drops the bomb: "I love you." Is this next year's Best Kiss nominee?

Shot 7: With the stakes substantially raised, here comes the stuff you didn't see in our 15-second preview of the trailer. A contemplative Edward explains: "You're my only reason to stay ... alive. If that's what I am."

Shot 8: Here's the moment we've all been waiting for: the birthday scene! Alice (Ashley Greene) leads Bella down the stairs of the Cullen home, exclaiming, "It's time! It's time!" Wow, Dr. Cullen must be bringing in some serious doctor cash to afford all those candles!

Shot 9: We can see returning favorites Carlisle (Peter Facinelli), Emmett (Kellan Lutz), Rosalie (Nikki Reed) and Esme (Elizabeth Reaser) crowd around Bella to give her hugs and kisses. Alice stands in the background, snapping photos. Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) also stands at a distance, for a far different reason. "Happy birthday, Bella!" Esme exclaims. "Let's open your presents!"

Shot 10: "There's a cake too." Is there ever! Whoever made that thing needs to get themselves on that "Ace of Cakes" show, stat.

Shot 11: "Alice, that cake could feed 50!" Bella says. "You guys don't even eat." Take note of Jasper's hair in the background, as well as Rosalie's curls. Both look so much better than in the first movie, don't you think?

Shot 12: Alice hands over an innocent-seeming gift. Look out, Bella!

Shot 13: Unlucky number 13 brings us a pivotal moment in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" universe. As she goes to open her gift, Bella slices open her finger, drawing blood.

Shot 14: The klutzy Bella throws down her gift, raises her finger and utters three words you do not want to say around vampires: "Ow, paper cut."

Shot 15: A few drops of blood fall onto the Cullen's floor, all over their nice Berber carpet!

Shot 16: And this is why you don't want to bleed around the Cullens. Springing to life for the first time in the series, we finally see why struggling-vegetarian Jasper has kept his distance from Bella. He runs in super-slo-mo toward the camera.

Shot 17: Edward looks up to see his bloodthirsty brother approaching, as a look of fear washes across his face. Bella doesn't even have time to notice.

Shot 18: With his superhuman speed, Edward shoves Bella out of the way, into the table.

Shot 19: Edward shoves Jasper toward the other end of the room, sending him flying through the air and crashing down into a piano. Wow, home-furnishing salesmen in Forks are going to make a bundle after this party!

Shot 20: Bella looks up in horror; Edward seems like he's about to cry. "What happened with Jasper was nothing," she insists.

Shot 21: Back in the woods, Edward lays down the law. "[It was] nothing compared to what could have happened. I promise to never put you through anything like this again."

Shot 22: Bella looks on at an anguished Edward. "This is the last time you'll ever see me," he says. Take a look at RPattz's face — damn, that's some acting!

Shot 23: Edward gives Bella one last kiss on the forehead ... and then he's gone.

Shot 24: Realizing her predicament, Bella is alone in the woods. She lies down on the ground, clutching the dirt, breathing heavily.

Shot 25: Edi Gathegi in the house! "How much could you mean to him if he left you here?" the vampire Laurent asks, his red eyes ablaze much more effectively than how we saw the vamps in the last movie. "Unprotected." Remember how Laurent was all conflicted and happy to help the Cullens in the first film? Yeah, he ain't doing that anymore.

Shot 26: As Bella stands in a clearing, Laurent circles her like a dog eyeballing a chew toy. "But I can't help myself. You are so ... mouth-watering!" I can already imagine that catchphrase on a million T-shirts.

Shot 27: As Laurent caresses her hair, Bella gets ready to become lunch. Keep in mind that at this point in the film, both she and Edward (who is far, far away) are so despondent that they're almost suicidal.

Shot 28: Whoa, what's Fabio doing in this movie? No, wait — it's none other than Taylor Lautner, the little Jacob from the first film showing off his newly acquired 30 pounds of muscle.

Shot 29: The newly jacked Jacob springs into action as Laurent raises his hands to Bella. When we interviewed Gathegi recently, he told us that this encounter with workout buddy Lautner was his favorite "New Moon" scene. Note that although Bella is in danger, it appears as though Jacob took the time to put his shirt back on before coming to her rescue. Maybe he burns easily, and the sun is a bit strong.

Shot 30: The anticipation builds as Laurent hesitates and Bella takes off.

Shot 31: Bella runs toward Jacob, screaming what sounds like, "Jake! Run!" But she doesn't know that the money shot is coming, and sure enough, we get our first glimpse of Jacob in all his shape-shifting glory. Turning into a wolf, he leaps over Bella and in front of Laurent. Check out the shreds of clothing, falling to the ground around him. Coolness.

Shot 32: As Jacob lets out a ferocious roar, the title card washes across the screen: "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." You may now proceed with your "OME" shrieks.
