In 2010, some of music's biggest names tied the knot, and some of Hollywood's favorite starlets said goodbye to their fellow single ladies and married the men of their dreams. Some celebs married on the down low, and some married in over-the-top affairs, but they all made us envious of the lives of the rich and famous. Here, MTV News takes a look back at the most memorable weddings of the year:

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green surprised everyone when they married in a hush-hush ceremony on June 24, just weeks after they confirmed their engagement. There was no Hollywood pomp and circumstance. The pair, who had their ups and downs over the course of their courtship, married at the Four Seasons Resort on Hawaii's Big Island, the same hotel where Green popped the question to the starlet.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand
Months after their flirtation at the 2009 VMAs led to a full-fledged romance, the couple got engaged on New Year's Eve while vacationing in India. As 2010 rolled along, Perry and Brand didn't give too many details away about their nuptials, which would eventually take place in India in October. Though the ceremony was conducted by a Christian minister, the couple paid homage to their wedding's setting by including traditional Indian rituals. And while we have yet to see what the dress looked like, we know Perry wore a dove-gray gown with lace sleeves designed by Elie Saab.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher
Carrie and Mike did it big when they married at the Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation in Georgia in July. The wedding reportedly cost $500,000 and included celebrity pals like Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as wedding guests. The country superstar donned a Chantilly lace gown by Monique Lhuillier as she said "I do" in front of a reported 250 people.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz
Alicia and Swizz married in July in front of the backdrop of the Mediterranean. The very pregnant singer and her super-producer love said their vows in Vera Wang and Tom Ford, respectively. Deepak Chopra presided over the nuptials. Weeks later the pair welcomed their son, Egypt Daoud Dean, into the world.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden
After two kids and four years together, Nicole and Joel tied the knot in December. The guest list was a who's who of the music world including No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson and Madden's twin and Good Charlotte bandmate, Benji, and an elephant attending the glamorous wedding. Reverend Run of Run-DMC presided over the ceremony.

Which was your favorite wedding of 2010? Talk about it in the comments.

Matt Damon Gets Tongue-Tied By 'True Grit,' Bieber Fever

Matt Damon. Actor, writer, Oscar winner. Generally perceived in and around Hollywood to be a really nice guy. As such, when MTV News caught up with Damon as he promoted "True Grit," we hoped he would respond positively to our request for him to conduct the interview either talking in the voice of his "Grit" character, Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, or using his dead-on Matthew McConaughey impression.

"I would do [LaBoeuf's accent] if anyone had a ponytail [holder]," he said, and then asked the behind-the-scenes ladies in the room if he could borrow one. Amazingly enough, someone did have one at the time and quickly handed it to Damon, who tied it around his tongue.

Not to spoil the film, but in "True Grit," Damon's character suffers a particular misfortune along the way that leads to him losing part of his tongue, adding a lisp to his Texas twang.

"Ask me anything you like," he said with a distinct lisp, after affixing the band to his tongue.

Then it was our turn to try to maintain a straight face long enough to ask Damon why he wanted to be in this particular film.

"Well, I'd been looking to work with [directors] Joel and Ethan [Cohen] for a long time," he said, trying not to laugh himself. Film-related questions aside for a moment, we had to ask him, does that hurt?

"Yeah," Damon admitted, at which point we told him he should take off the band. "No, no, I'm going to do the whole interview like this," he insisted.

We then brought up "Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld, who's been getting rave reviews and plenty of awards consideration for her breakthrough performance, and asked what it felt like to be out-witted by a young girl.

"I have four girls in my house, I get out-witted by them every day," Damon quipped — still talking with the band.

Has his home been affected by Bieber fever yet?

"No," Damon said. "We've mercifully avoided Bieber fever."

There's still time: His daughters are ages 11, 4, 2 and 3 months.

For her role in "Country Strong" (in theaters this week), Gwyneth Paltrow didn't just face the challenge of singing and recording country music. In order to embody her character — fallen Nashville star Kelly Canter — she also tapped into some dark elements that are unfortunately tied to the pitfalls of being a celebrity: addiction and drug use.

When MTV News caught up with the Oscar winner, we asked her how she was able to harness a dark side for the film.

"I'm a very dark person," she joked. "Don't let me fool you.

"I think we all have darkness, don't we?" she said, seriously. "I certainly do. I've been through a lot. I know people who have been through a lot, and there's always a lot to draw from. You see things, I think, when you're an actor. You notice behavior and you notice stuff. It all kind of goes into the computer."

Interestingly enough, Paltrow ended up reaching out to her "Iron Man" co-star and friend Robert Downey Jr. — who has been through his share of career ups and downs — for his insight into what leads a person into that addictive, self-destructive behavior.

"[I reached out to him] because I understood addiction, I used to be very addicted to cigarettes," Paltrow revealed. "I understood that, 'This is bad for me. My father has throat cancer, but I'm going to smoke this,' but I couldn't understand in terms of wrecking other people's lives in your wake and just being so altered and so drunk or on pills that you embarrass yourself and you wreck people's lives and you cheat on people. All that stuff ... it was a whole other level.

"He really helped me understand how you get there," she said of Downey. "He wrote me this amazing e-mail. I was like, 'OK, I get it now.' "

If your post-Hanukkah/pre-Christmas paunch has got you down, don't worry. The Situation's got something for that.

November saw the expansion of the already formidable empire of the bulging star of MTV's "Jersey Shore" — which already included an advice book and a line of protein-infused vodka — with the release of a brand-new workout DVD that might be the perfect antidote for too much holiday indulgence and not enough GTL.

The DVD is appropriately titled "The Situation Workout," and, as Sitch told MTV News, that's about all you really need to know.

"I really think it's just the name in itself. As soon as someone hears the name 'Situation,' they're gonna kind of know that it's gonna be good," he said. "It's really the first workout DVD that's entertaining. You're gonna get some humor out of it, and it's not only a workout, it's entertaining to watch."

And while you wait to develop that six-pack, you could always draw attention away from your midsection with another Situation product, "shoelery," as in: jewelry for your shoes. According to the Situation, there's a vast and untapped market out there for footwear bling, and with the assistance of a company called Luxury Laces, he's hoping to tap that market.

"Nobody's got that," he said. "I'm in the process of trying to trademark that."

Of course, in between workouts, you'll also need to relax. Good thing the new season of "Jersey Shore" premieres on January 6 at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.

'Gulliver's Travels' Cast Responds: Would You Rather Be Taller Or Shorter?

In discussing the important subject matter involved in "Gulliver's Travels" — the film (coming to theaters Saturday) based on the classic Jonathan Swift tale, and starring Jack Black, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt — MTV News thought it prudent to ask the cast members a hard-hitting, yet totally appropriate question: Would you rather be 2 feet taller or 2 feet shorter?

Black, who plays the titular curious explorer (in this case, a curious travel writer), had to think long and hard about it.

"Wait a minute, 7' 7" or 3' 7"? That's an amazing question," he replied. "Hmm ... I'm going to go short. I'm going to go 3' 7"," he decided. "Because some of the greats are shorties. There are some great tall-y tall-ies, but I think the life expectancy is longer for the shorties," Black philosophized. "I think those super tall-ies are breakable."

Blunt decided to take a different track. "Two feet taller, not 2 feet shorter," she responded. "I wouldn't like to be that small."

The "Devil Wears Prada" star went on to say that she would prefer the power that comes with being taller. "They would stare at me if I was small as well," Blunt said. "At least if I was tall, I could crush people if they stare at me."

Segel, who is already 6' 4", unsurprisingly selected the same option as Black.

"So, I'm either 8' 4" or I'm 4' 4"?" he said. "I guess I'll go with 4' 4" because there are people of that height, they're managing, and there's things that are made for them," he reasoned. "8'4" is rough. And everybody — well, I guess they're staring at you either way — [but] they might not see you if you're 4'4"," he added. "They're definitely going to see you if you're 8'4". OK, so I'm going to go with 4'4"."

Would you choose to be two feet taller or two feet shorter? Tell us in the comments!

Keri Hilson's new album may be titled No Boys Allowed, but as she told MTV News recently, men are definitely allowed on the project.

A cursory glance of the track list reveals Rick Ross, Nelly, J.Cole, Kanye West and Timbaland as guest artists.

Also included on the set, on the steamy duet "One Night Stand," is Chris Brown.

Hilson has been a staunch supporter of the embattled singer: Brown appeared in the "Slow Dance" video from her previous LP, and the two shared a laugh over a lap dance the "Deuces" star gave Hilson in a promo clip for her album.

"People are already putting [Brown] back in their good graces 'cause they see his remorse," Hilson told MTV News. "And I know people are saying, 'Is he really a man? You have him on your album.' I mean, yeah. To me, a man is someone, you don't go backwards in life. You learn from your mistakes, and you don't do it again. You show remorse, and you move on. You move forward onto bigger and better things. That's a man trait."

Earlier this week, Brown completed a yearlong domestic violence course after pleading guilty to assaulting Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time.

Brown posted a picture of his certificate on his Twitter page and shared a sentiment with his fans regarding the process.

"I have enough self-respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class," Brown wrote. "Boyz run from their mistakes. Men learn from them!!! thx."

2010 has been a banner year for MTV News' #5 Woman of the Year, Nicki Minaj. In addition to performing with Lil Wayne on "NBC's New Year's Eve With Carson Daly," Minaj is celebrating the holidays by filming a video for "Moment 4 Life." The clip features her Young Money labelmate Drake.

Between takes on Monday, the Queens native talked about those who haven't been so giddy about her success.

"I hate to say it, but a lot of people harbor just a lot of just hate, envy," she said. "It almost feels like, because I'm where I am, they're where they are. I didn't do this to you; I didn't do this to your career. I'm responsible for Nicki; you're responsible for you."

While Minaj didn't mention Lil' Kim by name, the Queen Bee talked about her rift with Barbie on Friday when she stopped by New York's Hot 97 radio station. Kim said she looked at Minaj's success as "a way for me to kind of come back in" but ultimately got "played."

Minaj said: "When you see someone else being successful and your first instinct is to tear them apart, that's just a sign of you feeling unhappy with your achievements. But what I try to explain to people is: Whenever you feel like that — and we all feel like that sometimes, like 'Ah, somebody's doing it. Somebody's popping a lot' — use that as fuel to go hard. That's what I did."

"I was like, 'You know what? This one is doing their thing; this one is doing that; why can't I do it?' " she continued. "But see, I looked at people like [Lil] Wayne. I would go to the studio, and I would observe Wayne, and I would literally pray. I would say 'God, give me his work ethic.' You have to ask for what you want. You have to identify what it is you need to get where you need to go and then speak that. You have to say it."

She also hinted that changing one's life direction is more than just words. "If that's what you want is a great work ethic, then you have to program that into your life," she said. "But looking at somebody with a great work ethic and hating them is not going to help you."

Kanye And Gaga?! Readers React To Our Man And Woman Of The Year

Kanye West vs. Eminem, Lady Gaga vs. Britney Spears: Our readers duke it out over whether our picks for 2010's top man and woman were worthy.
By James Montgomery

Last week, when MTV News revealed our picks for Man of the Year (Kanye West) and Woman of the Year (Lady Gaga), we expected that there would be some folks out there who wouldn't agree with our choices ... mostly, Eminem fans — because, as we've learned time and time again, they don't agree with anything.

But there's no way we could have predicted just how many people were genuinely outraged with our list ... MTV.com readers flooded our site with comments, calling us every name in the book, accusing us of vast multinational conspiracies, and doing everything short of declaring war on our headquarters (please don't attack on a Wednesday, that's Taco Day in the cafeteria). We're only slightly exaggerating.

(They're more than just pretty faces, but you can still check out photos of our Men and Women of 2010!)

By far, the biggest point of contention centered on our Man of the Year list ... and, more specifically, why we gave the award to West instead of Eminem. Fans of both men lit up the comments with passionate arguments, with each side working overtime to state their case. It got pretty nasty, which sort of made it even better.

Over on the Woman of the Year list, well, most people seemed to agree that Gaga deserved the honor, though, of course, there were still some out there who believed that Britney Spears was robbed — even though she didn't release a note of music this year. Her fans are just that loyal.

To be honest, we were sort of blown away by just how many of you cared, so we've decided to collect some of the best responses here. But don't think the debate has to end right now ... if you still feel like your voice hasn't been heard, sound off in the comments below. And now, without further ado, let's get acrimonious.

"Eminem [had] two #1 singles both with sales over 3 million! [He was] iTunes' Artist of the Year, Billboard's Best Male and Best Album ... best-selling single in the UK, VMA Best Male and Best Hip Hop, EMA Best Hip Hop artist, MTV's #1 Hottest MC of 2010 ... opened at VMA and BET awards, Recovery already sold 3 million and still counting copies in less than 6 months (I pray Kanye makes it up to 1 million by God's grace), 10 Grammy nominations ... Eminem had a bigger year and MTV knows that!" — Kennethngbor

"Kanye had a bigger year? Yeah he did. 10/10 from Pitchfork? Yeah. 'Runaway' movie? Yeah. G.O.O.D. Fridays (new song every week)? Yeah. Most critically acclaimed album this year? Yeah. Sold over 430,000 copies without a NUMBER ONE single and being the MOST HATED man in America? yeahh. Need I continue? Em's album wasn't all that. Hell, Teflon Don was better than Recovery. ... 'Ye had a better album, [and] a better year." — Alex

"I think [Kanye] deserved to win. Of course Em sold more records, Hello? America's white-boy rapper? Duh! I mean, he's cool, don't get me wrong ... Em puts out a good CD when he tries, but Kanye killed it ... So to hell with what people say, I'm good with 'Ye winning man of the year." — Hsoj

"I feel that MTV and Kanye have a plot together to make each other bigger. They hyped the you-know-what out of him before he even dropped his latest album. Suddenly he has been back for a couple of months after he took some time off to seek help and he becomes Man of the Year? Come on. Everytime he does something outlandish it's on MTV, so I'm starting to wonder if he and the network are working together to help each other gain publicity. Shady business if you ask me." — JayJay

"MTV, accept the many mistakes you made this year in many of your lists and make a better one next year and stop underrating people! #1 for Kanye is not deserved, he does not deserve to be in the top 5! Usher is supposed to be on this list, Bieber and Eminem are supposed to be higher!" — Emperor

"Kanye deserved this, denying it makes you look stupid because over this entire year, he's the one that brought music (especially hip hop) forward. I LOVE EMINEM, I couldn't be more serious about that, but at the end of the day, Kanye brought music forward as opposed to Em getting back to the level of quality we are used to getting from him. Em's still the sh--, but this year, Kanye made a better product." — Ryan

"Kanye West just put out one of the best acclaimed hip-hop albums of the last 7 years ... he created a masterpiece in the movie 'Runaway' and stretched the boundaries with the moving painting piece for 'Power'. Kanye West did more this year to move [forward] the culture, especially the hip-hop culture than Em did by far. If you make the best album you should be the man that year, simple as that." — ThisGuyCalledJeff

"I'm happy for Kanye, and people should be happy for him too for giving out all that free music and putting out a classic album instead of hating! And I'm pretty sure Eminem is not thinking about this list, because he's making bread off that 3 mill sold, so let's let Kanye shine for a moment please!" — TommyBoy502ky

"I'm tired of MTV giving Gaga too much praise! I can't wait for Britney Spears to release her new album in March! Gaga did not revive pop music. She is good but she is not better than the pop stars who came before her like Britney, Christina, and Madonna ... When Britney came out, she revived pop music! When Gaga came out, she didn't revive nothing. Now Britney will be back with a new album and she will be on top." — IfUSeekPeanut:)

"Okay, let me explain to you why Britney is not better than anybody, she is not an icon, she won't be a legend, she used her physical looks to call people's attention, she is auto-tuned, and she doesn't sing live! Gaga is talented and better than Britney, in so many levels ... she writes her own music, and plays the piano, the problem is that Britney has a longer career, but Gaga will have it too in 10 years; yes she is crazy, and yes she is a freak, but that's what makes her special and unique, Britney these days is just another pop star; the fact that she's been relevant for a decade doesn't mean she is a legend, and Lady Gaga is definitely the icon of this generation." — EMMNL

"I seriously don't care what anyone could possibly say, I love Lady Gaga with all my heart and nothing anyone says will ever change that. I've honestly heard it all, and it only makes my love for her stronger. Can't wait for Born This Way. I'll be the first one to buy it in Canada." — Christian

"There was no other choice [for Woman of the Year]. [Gaga's] carried pop music the past two years. Without her Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj would not exist. She's single-handedly brought dance music from the basement to the Penthouse." — frankru2000

Lil Wayne is back in full force, having returned to the recording booth after a months-long prison stint. His first solo offering was "6 Foot 7 Foot," and his protégé Drake says Weezy's single — and the Carter IV material he's heard — has left him in awe.

"Watching this man work again, it's crazy," Drake told MTV News when we visited him on the set of Nicki Minaj's "Moment 4 Life" video. "To hear '6 Foot 7 Foot' and not hear him waste one bar; didn't sacrifice one moment. It's good, he's back. It's an impressive record and I think it's what he needed to get people talking."

The Bangladesh-produced "6 Foot 7 Foot" featuring Cory Gunz is the lead single from Tha Carter IV.

"Life is a bitch and death is her sister/ Sleep is the cousin, what a f---in' family picture," Wayne raps on the frenetic number. "You know Father Time, we all know Mother Nature/ It's all in the family, but I am of no relation."

The New Orleans MC is working feverishly to complete his next project. He's been at work on the follow-up to I Am Not a Human Being since last month when he was sprung from the Eric M. Taylor Center on New York's Rikers Island. So far, Drake has heard an in-progress collection of tunes and said he expects Wayne to deliver once again.

"I'm not even gonna talk it up," he said. "I'm not gonna preach about it, it's dope."

What do you think of Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot"? Tell us in the comments!

50 Cent's Farmington, Connecticut, mansion was broken into on Tuesday morning (December 21), when two men broke into the rapper's residence and hid in various parts of the establishment, police confirmed to MTV News.

According to a press release from Lt. Marshall S. Porter of the Farmington Police Department, authorities were tipped off when a member of the rapper's home security called to report a suspicious car parked in the driveway of the mansion at 6 a.m. Shortly after police arrived on site, another security guard reported that there was a male suspect inside the 52-room residence.

Upon entering the residence, officers found one of the suspects, Alexander Hernandez, "hiding in a closet, drinking a bottle of wine he had stolen from the residence." Police also located another suspect, Santos Padilla, who was hiding in another area of the mansion, which used to belong to Mike Tyson. Officers searched the entire residence with a Farmington Police K-9, however no other suspects were located.

The duo was arrested and locked up on $50,000 bond. Both men were in possession of marijuana at the time of arrest. Hernandez was released on bond and turned over to police in New Britain, Connecticut, on a warrant. Padilla was still in custody as of press time.

50 Cent, who is usually an outspoken Twitter user, has yet to comment on the incident.

Lindsay Lohan has been named a suspect in an assault case. According to multiple reports, the actress is being accused of attacking a female staffer at the Betty Ford Center in an incident on December 12. Lohan allegedly acted out when the staffer asked her to take a drug and alcohol test.

"The incident involved Lindsay Lohan and another female adult who was a staff member at the location," a police spokesman told E! News. "Lohan was reported as the suspect in the investigation and the victim desired prosecution."

Officers responded to the Betty Ford-affiliated sober house that Lohan is staying in. "The incident is being investigated as a misdemeanor, not committed in the presence of a peace officer; therefore no one was arrested at the scene," the spokesman added. "The investigation is currently ongoing. Upon completion of the investigation reports will be forwarded to the district attorney's office to determine if charges will be filed in the case."

Currently Lohan is set to be released from rehab on January 3 and has a progress hearing on February 25. Calls by MTV News to the Palm Desert police were not returned by press time. Additionally, a rep for the actress had not responded to MTV News' request for comment by press time.

Topher Grace On The Complicated Life Of 'Take Me Home Tonight'

The '80s-set flick's depiction of cocaine use was partly responsible for long release-date delay.

The inner workings of Hollywood are a perpetual mystery, particularly when film scheduling is involved. The normal filmmaking, script-to-screen process is, in a nutshell, basic: Script is written, produced, filmed, edited, promoted — and voila! It hits theaters. But as many beleaguered writers/producers/directors/actors know, things don't always go so smoothly.

Take, for example, the comedy "Take Me Home Tonight" (formerly titled "Kids in America"), which stars Topher Grace (who's also executive producer), Ana Faris, Dan Fogler, Teresa Palmer and Michelle Trachtenberg. Not exactly an indie, no-name cast, and yet the film completed principal photography in late 2006/ early 2007 and is just now getting released.

When MTV News caught up with Grace recently, we asked him to take us through the producing process that finally led to its release date.

"[The film came from] this idea that every generation had a film that looked about 20 years back," Grace said, adding the fact that no one had captured the spirit of the '80s in film without making fun of the decade. "We wanted to do something that felt like it was literally made in the '80s. So, we brought this to a different studio, and they were very supportive when they made the film, so we're very grateful for that."

What slowed down the process from there, Grace explained, was a hesitation from the studio with several scenes that involve cocaine use. "It tested really well," he said. "It's an audience film. It's not drama, but there was a real hesitation because there is so much cocaine in it, and our feeling at the time was, 'You can't do a movie about Prohibition without alcohol, and you really can't do a movie about partying in the '80s, at the age these kids are, without showing cocaine use."

Lucky for Grace and his producing partner Gordon Kaywin, the film received new life at Imagine Entertainment, via veteran producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.

"We had fun producing, but those guys are the real deal," Grace said of Howard and Grazer. "We learned a lot from them, and they're probably the greatest producers of our time. So, they encouraged us to not change the cut, which I thought was a really cool move."

Grace also credited Ryan Kavanaugh, the CEO of Relativity Media (the studio that is now releasing the film), with understanding and helping execute their original idea.

"He understood that you can't make a movie like 'Dazed and Confused' if it doesn't have pot in it," Grace said. "You just can't; it doesn't ring true. It's not that real thing we talk about, and he and his team embraced it, and that's the film we got to see."

The former "That '70s Show" star said he's thrilled with the final result.

"We're so happy with the film. It's creatively exactly what we wanted, and it's exactly the opposite of the normal situation where stuff gets cut," he said. "[For us] it was the opposite: We got to put stuff back in."

Tinie Tempah Takes Patient Approach To U.S. Success

U.K. rapper watches as single 'Pass Out' makes its way into clubs Stateside.

With a handful of top 10 singles under his belt in the U.K., rapper Tinie Tempah now has his sights set on America. The South London MC scored huge hits in England this year with his singles "Pass Out," "Frisky," "Written in the Stars," and his collaboration with Swedish House Mafia, "Miami 2 Ibiza." His first album, Disc-Overy, a mélange of grime, drum & bass, hip-hop and R&B, debuted at #1 in the U.K. in October.

So why not turn his attention to this side of the pond? Following the Stateside success of fellow Brits Jay Sean, and Taio Cruz, now appears to be a pretty good time for international artists to make it on mainstream American radio.

"The British invasion, for me, is just music becoming more global, and more universal than ever before," Tempah told MTV News last week. "Now that we have networks like [MTV], Twitter and Youtube, all sorts of genres of music from anywhere in the world is attainable at the click of a button. And now more so than ever, Britain, and especially England, is loving the culture and the music that it creates. And it's more than happy to champion it and support it. That wasn't always the case. Now that we love it so much, it's starting to catch the ears of all our counterparts and our peers, and they are clearly taking note."

But though Jay Sean and Taio Cruz have both made it big in the past year, Tinie says their approach has been different from each other. "I'm good friends with both of those people," the rapper said. "I mean Taio Cruz has almost taken the world by storm. ... Like, no one will sell more singles than Taio Cruz, and that's incredible. Once you've got a catchy, incredible song — it doesn't matter if you are in the U.S., Australia or the U.K., you're in Iceland — if it's a good song, it's a good song.

"What I like about Jay Sean's story is the fact that there was some sort of affiliation, some sort of co-sign with a very prestigious American establishment, and by that I mean Cash Money," Tinie continued. "I really admire that story, and I really admire that strategy because that is so clever. Not only do you have the big pop song that everybody loved, you also have that commercial [success and credibility] all rolled up into one."

Tempah's first single "Pass Out," produced by current U.K. hitmaker Labrinth, was released digitally in November in the U.S. and has slowly begun to find its way into nightclub DJ sets — just the way he intended it to.

"I heard it in a club in New York [recently]," Tempah said. "And it was like hearing it in a club in the U.K. for the first time. When it came on in a club in the U.K. the first time, it was like people heard it and they were like, 'OK. This is different.' I would go to the same club four weeks later and people would go crazy. So it was nice. I had a little smug smile on my face, like, 'OK, I'll come back in a couple of months and just see what happens.' "

But while the rapper is a fan of the gradual appreciation of "Pass Out," he did make it clear he has a wish list of U.S. artists he'd like to have feature on the song. Snoop Dogg has already jumped on a remix of it in the U.K.

"I'd love Nicki Minaj on 'Pass Out,' " he said. "I think she would obliterate the song. That is for her, definitely. I also think Lil Wayne would have the same impact. I think Drake would have the same impact on that song as well. However, I kind of want the instrumental to leak out and for people to stumble across it naturally. I don't want to be too forced. We'll see what happens."

For his second single in the U.S., Tinie Tempah intends to release "Written in the Stars." His video for "Pass Out" will not get a U.S. revision. Fans can expect a U.S. album release sometime in the spring of 2011.

After a fourth person was injured during the Broadway preview run of "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," the Wednesday matinee show has been postponed, but all subsequent shows will proceed as scheduled, a spokesperson for the production told MTV News.

Stunt double and aerialist Christopher Tierney, 31, was hurt on Monday during the final moments of a preview performance. The cable he was attached to snapped, and he fell approximately 8 to 10 feet. He was taken to New York's Bellevue Hospital with multiple broken ribs and substantial bleeding, BroadwayWorld.com reported. He is being held in serious but stable condition.

Rick Miramontez, the spokesperson for the $65 million musical, told MTV News that representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Actors Equity and New York State Department of Labor met with the "Spider-man" company on Tuesday (December 21) to discuss additional safety protocols to prevent more injuries.

"It was agreed that these measures would be enacted immediately," he said.

That agreement prevented the show from being delayed anymore than it already has been. Producers for "Turn Off the Dark" recently announced the opening of the musical would be delayed from January 11 to February 7. Previous injuries on the set included actress Natalie Mendoze being hit on the head with a rope and suffering a concussion.

The musical, a creative brainchild of "Across the Universe" director Julie Taymor and U2 band members Bono and The Edge, involves telling the story of Spider-man in a musical fashion and incorporates acrobatics and cable work so the actors can fly across the stage like Spidey with his web. The Edge explained to MTV News last month that "it's elements of rock and roll, it's elements of circus, it's elements of opera, of musical theater. It is so many different things, and when we started the process, we promised we'd do something that hasn't been done before. And really, we, I think, have managed to do that."

'Tron Legacy' Director Contemplates Sequel 'Possibilities'

After "Tron Legacy" was crowned box-office king with a $43.6 million haul on its opening weekend, naturally the "Tron" talk shifts toward the sequel question. There's already a script in the works, so when MTV News had the chance to chat with one of the power players in the discussion — director Joseph Kosinski — we asked if he's thought about a sequel.

"Yeah, and I think we've created a world that has a lot of possibilities in it," he said. "It was important to me that we created those connections back to the original film. If audiences are interested in this movie and decide they want to go back, and we can find the right story and a way to push the envelope again, I would definitely consider going back."

In addition to bringing back stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, one character that seemed as though he could have a part in the continuation of the story is the briefly appearing Edward Dillinger (played by Cillian Murphy), a rising star at ENCOM, the ominous tech company at the center of "Tron" mythos.

"I'm a big fan of his," Kosinski said when asked how Murphy joined the project. "I'd been talking to him about a way to get involved in the movie from the beginning, and this opportunity came up, so I asked him to be a part of it, and he was excited to do it," Kosinski explained. "So I'm thrilled to have him in there."

Wilde echoed Kosinski's sentiments regarding Murphy's brief performance.

"Cillian Murphy — we were so lucky to have in this film," Wilde said. "His part in 'Tron Legacy' is so mysterious and cool. His role really fits into the mythology of 'Tron,' the corrupt environment of ENCOM. It just shows you that this fight is far from over."

Wilde has also said that she'd be game for another "Tron" movie, particularly exploring how her character, Quorra, would adapt to the human world.

"I'm so thrilled to play with Quorra in the human world. It would be sort of like 'Splash,' " she said, referring to the '80s comedy starring Daryl Hannah as a mermaid unleashed in Manhattan. "I want to see her whispering to laptops and hugging toasters. ... There's a whole other chapter ahead."

By now, you are probably aware that the cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" have ditched the balmy climes of Miami for their spiritual home of Seaside Heights, but chances are, you've had no idea what they've been doing since they got back there (you know, aside from getting arrested).

Until now. On Tuesday (December 21), MTV unveiled the official trailer for the new season of "Jersey Shore," and from the look of things, it's going to be quite the homecoming.

Because not only does the new season — billed as "Back to Jersey" — feature the usual bad behavior (Fights! Nudity! Hot-tub hookups!), but there's also plenty of drama on tap too, including JWoww's bitter breakup with her boyfriend, the seemingly endless soap opera that is Ronnie and Sammi, and the addition of a new castmember, the pint-size Deena Nicole Cortese (who, not surprisingly, does not get along with Sammi). And that's the tip of the iceberg. Ronnie gets a colonoscopy. The Situation continues to do whatever it is he does. Vinny rides a tiny motorcycle. Snooki falls down a lot, gets arrested and, at one point, apparently drinks while sitting in a mini-fridge.

Like we said, it's going to be epic.

The new season of MTV's "Jersey Shore" premieres Thursday, January 6, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. And yes, we know that waiting is the hardest part. But to warm your bones and lift your spirits, we present the official trailer right now ... so get your GTL out of the way, throw on your shirt before the shirt and get ready for the madness. The "Jersey Shore" crew is going back to the beach, and they're ready to party.

Lea Michele, Pre-'Glee': See Her, At Age 12, Talk Showbiz

On "Glee," Lea Michele has won over fans and critics alike with her diva-licious portrayal of Rachel Berry. As it turns out, Michele probably didn't have to dig all that deep for the role. And we've got the footage to prove it.

As first seen on MTV's "The Seven," a 12-year-old Michele (who had already wowed critics with performances in Broadway productions of "Les Misérables" and "Ragtime") was interviewed in 1998 by a documentary crew. And, even at a young age, it was apparent she was a star in the making.

"In sixth grade, I tried to going to regular school, which was very difficult, because some days, I'd come late, and they'd be like, 'Well, why are you late?' And I'd say, 'Because I'm tired. I have a show to do,' " Michele says in the footage. "And then I have my friends that are like, 'Wow, you're on Broadway,' which I hate to be treated that way. That, I think, has been the worst part of being in the theatrical business."

She also emphatically states that she considers herself "a normal kid," but at one point, her diva-tude is in full display as she expertly directs a makeup artist to apply powder to her chin and nose, while her mother rolls her eyes.

Michele also shows that she was destined for fame, explaining how she's managed to make a go in the cutthroat world of showbiz.

"Being in the business has kind of made me grow up so fast, because I'm around so many older actors that I just learned so much so fast," she says. "Everyone says, 'You know, you're so mature!' ... I can do anything, and that's how I kind of stay sane in this really tough, dog-eat-dog business."

Wiz Khalifa may not be an environmentalist, but the Pittsburgh rapper does have a thing for the green movement.

So for a follow-up to his breakout hit "Black and Yellow," it only makes sense he tap a resource he's familiar with.

"The next single is called 'Roll Up,' surprisingly," he told MTV News with a laugh. "Really, I just needed another single and we were trying to come up with a look and then me and [my manager] talked about it," Wiz continued. "We talked about it for three minutes. And then I came up with that song."

The track is slated for release on his forthcoming debut album, which is yet-untitled but tentatively scheduled for a March release.

"I'm definitely looking forward to my next single coming out," Wiz said. "I'm looking forward to my album dropping in late March, which is gonna be exciting for me and the Taylors worldwide. Like I keep saying, always keep building on top of my brand, keep doing what I'm doing and make new fans."

The MC is currently in Los Angeles, where MTV News visited Wiz and Snoop Dogg as they shot the video for the remix, or G-mix, to Wiz's "Black and Yellow."

"Black and yellow, ahh, black and yellow/ See me now they treating me like I'm somebody special," Wiz spits on the remix. "Smoking on that good, know it's me soon as they smell it/ You can chill, I'm the one who get it, not the one who sell it/ I grind every day, I'm balling, I can't help it/ N---as on that bullsh--, my pockets full of Celtics."

Snoop sent a picture to Twitter of the pair partaking in some smoke-filled activities while in the studio over the weekend. "Tha Dogg N @RealWizKhalifa blowin' like a broke stove, ya digggggggg?!?!?!" Snoop wrote.

Kings of Leon scorched the charts with their hit song "Sex on Fire," but on Tuesday morning (December 21) it was their tour bus that caught fire, forcing the rock band to postpone their sold-out O2 arena show in London.

According to BBC News, the fire began on one coach in the venue's loading area before spreading to another bus; eventually, the buses were completely burned out. Sixty firefighters and ambulance crews were on-site, and six people were treated for excessive smoke inhalation. There were no serious injuries reported.

While the fire didn't impact the seating or stage areas of the O2 arena, the entire venue had to be evacuated. A spokesperson for the O2 addressed the incident: "Unfortunately due to this morning's fire on board one of the tour buses at the O2, tonight's Kings of Leon concert will now be postponed," said a statement on the O2 website. "Whilst there is no damage to the O2 there is now insufficient time to rig the arena for tonight's performance."

The spokesperson emphasized that the crew had worked hard to follow protocol and made every attempt to go on with the show, but found there simply wasn't enough time to set up for the evening performance.

A rep for Kings of Leon said that Tuesday's concert in London had sold out "months ago," and a new date would be announced shortly.
