Kanye West And Jay-Z Are 'So Appalled' On New Track

Another Friday, another Kanye West-helmed all-star collabo.

The hip-hop superstar's latest weekly offering, "So Appalled," continues his trend of packing a varied cast of big-name stars onto a single record. This week, 'Ye recruited G.O.O.D. Music signee Pusha T, fellow MC/producer Swizz Beatz and rap luminary Jay-Z for repeat guest spots. Wu-Tang Clan ringleader RZA follows in the footsteps of Wu member Raekwon by dropping a G.O.O.D. Friday verse and newcomer Cyhi Da Prynce makes an appearance.

'Ye tweeted Friday evening (September 24) that, unlike his recent free track "Lord Lord Lord," which surfaced Saturday morning, G.O.O.D. Friday followers could expect a new song to kick off the weekend. "Good Friday actually coming on time this week!" he wrote. "We do this for our culture!"

"So Appalled" also differs from the soulful instrumentation and introspective lyricism of "Lord" on several fronts. Accompanied by gruesome artwork of a nude woman splayed on a white surface with blood streaming from her mouth, the song has a testy, restless vibe with midtempo rhythms and ominous shuddering strings.

Swizzy sets the track's tone with ad-libs such as "one hand in the air, if you don't really care" as West follows with bars like "We above the law, we don't give a f--- 'bout y'all/ I got dogs that'll chew a f---ing hole through the wall."

Jay takes jabs at ankle-biting MCs, launching his verse with, "How should I begin this?/ I'm just so offended/ How am I even mentioned by these f---in' beginners?/ I'm so appalled/ I might buy the mall/ Just to show n---as how much more I have in store." Hov spends most of his bars deconstructing the hate that surrounds outsize fame but poses the question, "Would you rather be underpaid or overrated?"

Push is up next with his own views on reaching the top, spitting, "Success is what you make it/ Take it how it come/ A half a mill in 20s like a billion where I'm from."

Cyhi holds his own among an intimidating roster of established MCs with lines like "If God had an iPod, I'd be on his playlist" and "Thou shalt not hate, kid/ My movement is like the civil rights, I'm Ralph David/ Abernathy, so call my lady Rosa Parks/ I am nothing like them n---as, baby those are marks."

RZA comes right in as Cyhi steps back, nearly clipping the end of his verse with bellows of "f---in' ridiculous" riding out the track with rhymes like "Cars for the Mrs. and furs for the mistress/ You know that sh-- is f---in' ridiculous."

Lindsay Lohan To Be Released From Jail

Actress will reportedly have to wear SCRAM bracelet again upon release.

Lindsay Lohan is expected to be a free woman once again after a second judge agreed with her lawyer that the actress is entitled to bail.

Since Lohan's jailing Friday (September 24), lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley was reportedly working to get her client the option of posting bail. The Los Angeles Times reports that on Friday afternoon, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg overturned Judge Elden Fox's order and granted the actress $300,000 bail. TMZ adds that Lohan will have to be outfitted with a SCRAM bracelet within 24 hours and avoid venues where alcohol is the "chief item of sale." Lohan sported a SCRAM bracelet this summer, which reportedly went off at a party, an incident that ultimately led to her July prison sentence.

Lohan was sent to prison exactly one week after she admitted to failing a court-ordered drug test, the screening being one of many conditions the starlet had to adhere to after back-to-back stints in jail and rehab. Judge Fox ordered Lohan to be held without bail until a scheduled October 22 hearing in the case. The move was reportedly a tactic to keep the actress in prison instead of sentencing her outright, which might have cleared the way for early release due to overcrowding.

"Ms. Lohan cannot be released early because this isn't a jail sentence," L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told People on Friday. "She's being held by court order until her hearing on October 22. She will be held in the same conditions as her last stay, in a keep-away unit."

Lohan has been frank about her struggles with addiction and recently tweeted about her willingness to face the repercussions of her actions after reports of her failed drug test surfaced.

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result," Lohan tweeted last Friday. "Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future. ... This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences."

In July, Lohan served 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence over a probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. She followed up the jail time with 23 days court-ordered rehab, a fraction the court's original mandate of 90 days.

Rick Ross had a good laugh on Thursday when an alleged sex tape of his surfaced on the Net. The tape in question showed a husky man with a thick beard doing the nasty.

Ross immediately sent out a tweet declaring it was not him on the footage. "Just saw the so called sex tape.. the n---a had a [Louis Vuitton] flag in back pocket but forgot the tattooes..#fail."

On Friday morning (September 24), upon landing in Dallas, the Bawse called MTV News and had another good laugh about the would-be scandal.

"Nah, man. Actually, all the females are hitting me on Twitter," he said. "It's actually funny and flattering to know fat n---as getting pu--- all around the world. Spiff TV pulled it up on the laptop. When I saw the screenshot of it and saw the first few seconds of it, I was like, 'Damn. My mom taught me when I was young, never lay on hotel spreads.' They was laying on some cheap-ass hotel spreads that had probably had all kinds of sh-- on it, because they don't really wash the spreads as often as they do the sheets. So that was what I laughed at. Then I noticed homie really ain't have none of my tats. All the real Rozay fans know what time it is.

"The n---a had a Louis flag in his pocket, which we started rocking last year," Ross added. "But, you know, I've had tattoos well over a decade. So I just laughed at it. But it's funny. All the sexy ladies hitting me up on Twitter saying they want to shoot a real porno with a n---a. I'm, like, buggin'. Shout-out to fat boys getting pu--- worldwide. ... But when it comes to the person on the tape, who they really are, they can send me a little check."

Tony Yayo Almost Collaborated With Nicki Minaj

'I was trying to do a record with her,' G-Unit MC tells 'RapFix Live' of hearing Minaj early in her career.

Queens MC Tony Yayo may have an eye for spotting hometown talent. Before Nicki Minaj joined the ranks of Young Money and was still making a name for herself on the underground circuit, Yayo heard some of the fledgling femcee's bars and was impressed enough to jump on a track with her. The G-Unit soldier broke down their near-collaboration during his "RapFix Live" interview Thursday.

"She was out there and she was messing with this guy named Fendi. I was trying to do a record with her, but Fendi was like, 'For what? Why you wanna do something with her?' Then I left it alone. This was a long, long time ago when I was seeing her on the 'Come Up' DVDs, 'cause that's how she started," Yayo explained.

Even if he didn't get on a record with Minaj, Yayo felt that someone needed to scoop up the promising lyricist to serve as the flagship diva of a hip-hop crew.

"You know what's crazy? Like, three years ago, I said to [music executive and G-Unit producer] Sha Money [XL] ... 'You need a hot female artist, rapper. I'm telling you, that lane is open,' " Yayo recalled.

Even though Sha shot him a look of disbelief, Yayo pressed on. " 'I'm telling you, Sha, that female lane, that rapper lane is wide open.' What she did was capture it at the right time, 'cause nobody's out. There's no Lil' Kim out, there's no Foxy ... she just conquered that lane at the right time with the right people."

For Minaj's part, the Young Money queen has seemed open to hooking up with G-Unit in the studio. When MTV News caught up with the "Your Love" spitter over the summer and posed the question of a possible collabo with fellow Queens-bred lyricist 50 Cent, she said the opportunity never came up.

"Our paths never crossed, and it's weird," Minaj said on MTV2's "Sucker Free Countdown." Although she didn't mention chopping it up with Yayo, she has made the acquaintance of one of his fellow Unit brethren. "I did meet [Lloyd] Banks, like, once or twice before."

'Glee' Tackles Britney Spears' Snake-Charming VMA Set

Hold tight, Gleeks! The all-Britney Spears episode of "Glee" is just days away, and details about the pop star's tribute are trickling in.

We already know the McKinley high-schoolers are going to revamp Brit's debut smash " ... Baby One More Time" and her Madonna match-up "Me Against the Music." The song-and-dance crew has also reached beyond Spears' trendsetting clips to one of her iconic stage performances: the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards rendition of "I'm a Slave 4 U."

A picture surfaced Friday (September 24) of the megastar's "Glee" namesake Brittany (played by Heather Morris) rocking a bejeweled green-and-blue two-piece similar to Spears' skimpy VMA ensemble, with a yellow boa draped over her shoulders.

Morris recently opened up about the arc of Tuesday's episode, dishing that the glee clubbers rebel against Schuester's ban on retooling Spears' hits.

"Through a special substance, I go under and have a couple of dream sequences — not only myself, but with Santana [Naya Rivera]," Morris told Australian magazine TV Week. "A lot of it has to do with Will [Matthew Morrison] not allowing us to perform Britney Spears songs, because he doesn't agree with what kind of entertainer she is, so it's our fight to do Britney. But it's not just us doing Britney in show choir; there are other sequences — it's our homage to her."

Tuesday's show is shaping up to be a busy one for Morris, who is also vamping it up opposite Spears herself in their reworking of "Music." However, the actress insisted her previous encounters with Spears helped her stay cool around the pop icon.

"It wasn't really nerve-racking, because I've met her before and I wasn't really overwhelmed by who she is," she said. "But the idea of what she has given us for the show and, for me, getting to dance with her and play with her on set, I was just staring at her at one point and thinking, 'This is just so frickin' awesome.' "

30 Seconds To Mars Call Kanye West Collabo An 'Unexpected Surprise'

Posted: 24 Sep 2010 03:31 AM PDT

'It's one of the strongest things that he's done,' Jared Leto tells MTV News of 'Hurricane.'
By James Montgomery

Last year, when 30 Seconds to Mars were still laboring on This Is War, more than a few eyebrows were raised when Kanye West posted a photo on his blog of him, Jared Leto and the Killers' Brandon Flowers in the studio, where the trio had apparently just finished recording a "dope-ass song."

Later, Leto explained to MTV News that the "dope-ass song" was called "Hurricane," and it featured West singing, minus the Auto-Tune he'd been dabbling with at the time (there was no mention of Flowers' involvement). It sounded like a promising collaboration, but, sadly, fans never actually got to hear it: When This Is War hit stores, "Hurricane" was on there, but West's work wasn't.

Leto explained that the band had to remove Kanye from the track at the last minute, due to some rather restrictive deadlines and a lot of back-and-forth between record labels, but he and his 30STM mates were so impressed with West's contributions that they pledged that someday, somehow, the song would see the light of day.

And, as it turns out, they kept their promise. On November 2, 30STM will release a deluxe edition of This Is War, featuring a DVD, a pair of live tracks recorded for the BBC (including a version of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance") and, at long last, the full, Kanye West-ified version of "Hurricane." It's been a long time in the making, but, as Leto told MTV News on Friday (September 24), the song is worth the wait.

"Let's put it this way: It's a collision of two worlds, and I think it's a completely unexpected surprise. He's not only on the track, but he's phenomenal on the track. ... It's one of the strongest things that he's done, in my opinion," he said. "His singing is incredible on it, and he's done a lot of really wonderful work, and I think this only adds to his work as a whole. ... Working with him was an incredible experience."

Leto said the new/old version of "Hurricane" (he prefers to call it "an alternative experience") doesn't stray all that far from the version that ended up on This Is War — they're both decidedly bleak ruminations on death and lust and sacrifice — but it does feature West getting darker than he's ever gotten before.

"It was an interesting time. ... I remember, he started here at the house, where we made the record, and then we finished in Hawaii," Leto said. "It is a song that's on the darker side of things. It's the flipside of 'Kings and Queens' — which has a through line of optimism and hope, and a really strong spirit to it — this song explores a different territory, and his lyrics do the same."

Leto added that, if it were up to him and West, the song would've ended up on the original version of This Is War, but now that 30STM are gearing up to shoot a video for the track, it does present a rather interesting opportunity — perhaps a cameo by Kanye?

"I think that would be an interesting element to add for sure," Leto laughed. "We'll just have to see."

Lil Wayne's 'Not A Human Being' Video Dissected

'He's almost grown into a mythology now,' director David Rousseau says.
By Jayson Rodriguez

Lil Wayne's otherworldly talents have inspired the rapper to dub himself "a Martian."

And for his latest video, the title track to his forthcoming album I Am Not a Human Being, director David Rousseau explored the reference.

"It's one of those things where you can interpret it like we're trying to dissect who Lil Wayne is," Rousseau told MTV News. "How does his mind work? He's almost grown into a mythology now. He's not even human. He's like Michael Jordan. The way Michael Jordan dunks a ball wasn't even human."

The frenzied video features Lil Wayne and his glow-in-the-dark tattoos contrasted with images of written rhymes splashed across the screen.

Rousseau said the images were meant to provoke deeper thought into Wayne's writing process.

Oftentimes, the director said, because of the rapper's personality, the ideas of his lyrics aren't fully comprehended.

"It's just that dissection of the myth and the man, separating him from the lyrics," he explained. "Because he's one of those artists where people hang onto every lyric. He's not just rapping about anything, you know? Read between the lines and find out what his message is about and stuff. It's kind of pointing fans at doing that. There's a deeper meaning to what he's rapping about, and you gotta get in there."

A leaked version of the video hit the Web last week, but the complete "I Am Not a Human Being" clip was released Wednesday.

'Eastbound & Down' Team Reveals What To Expect From Season Two

Kenny Powers realizes 'he might be an ass man,' Danny McBride says of his character's 'moral dilemma.'
By Kara Warner

LOS ANGELES — Well, "Eastbound & Down" fans, your wait is almost over. HBO's outrageous, irreverent comedy is back for a second season beginning Sunday, complete with Marilyn Manson's obsession and cameo bid. Kenny Powers has fled North Carolina for the comforts of a small town in Mexico, where he's joined by familiar faces and new ones.

MTV News hit up the show's Mexican fiesta-themed premiere recently to find out what this new season is all about.

"He's got a new haircut, as we can see," creator/writer/director Jody Hill said of Kenny Powers' cornrows. "He's in Mexico. There's a whole new group of characters, so all the people you knew in the first season, we've kind of wiped the slate clean and started fresh."

"I play his neighbor," "Eastbound & Down" newbie Efren Ramirez said. "And in the second season, I play the straight guy wrapped around all these character actors, and that's a good thing, because I'm always playing all the character roles," he explained (i.e. Pedro of "Napoleon Dynamite" fame) and this is finally something completely and totally different."

Actor Michael Peña filled one of those character roles, as wacky local ball club owner Sebastian Cisneros. "I play the owner of a baseball team who might be like a little bit rich, especially for Mexico standards," Peña said, but wouldn't reveal whether his character was a good guy or bad.

So why send Kenny to Mexico?

"He's a disaster wherever he goes," Hill admitted. "We figured that having him come back home [in the first season] was the lowest he could go, but in movies or westerns, the outlaws always run off to Mexico when they're trying to escape the law or run, so we figured that would be a perfect place for Kenny," Hill explained. "Seeing as how he sees himself as a guy in a western movie, like a cowboy."

From Danny McBride's perspective, his character Kenny's trouble all boils down to a familiar burden: women. Specifically, Powers learns he might be an "ass man" and not a "breast man" like he previously thought.

"Kenny this season is at a moral dilemma," McBride revealed. "He thought his whole life he was a boob man, but now he's realizing in Mexico that he might be an ass man."

The lovely lady who stirs up this controversy is Ana de la Reguera, who plays Kenny's new love interest Vida. "He gets really confused," Reguera said. "Because I have certain parts of my body that [hometown love] April doesn't have and reverse. He gets really confused."

McBride broke it down with a simple food analogy: "Sometimes you think you don't like tomatoes, and then you try one and suddenly you like tomatoes," he explained. "It happens to all of us."

Jim Jones said the Diplomats are getting their "Kumbaya" on right now. The Harlem team is at peace, the camaraderie is heavy and Friday (September 24), on New York's Hot 97, they announced their Dipset reunion show.

Jones, Cam'ron, Freekey Zekey and Juelz Santana told radio personality Angie Martinez that they will have their first performance in years November 27 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.

"The table is bigger," Juelz said. "It's pretty much the same, in a sense. We all have the same respect for each other. Cam is still the Boss. Jim is still the Capo."

"But we all make one conscious decision," Jones jumped in. "Everything you've seen thus far, it was all a conscious decision of everybody calling each other: 'You sure you wanna do this? You OK with this? OK, we good.' "

"You gotta look at people different," Cam added about reuniting after having tasted success as individuals over the past few years. "I don't want my mother talking to me today like she was talking to me when I was 8. I'm not 8 years old anymore. At the end of the day, you supposed to learn. You supposed to grow, and you know your stuff. We come from under the Dame Dash umbrella."

Recently, Cam threw a shot at another guy who was groomed in part by Dash, Kanye West. On a freestyle over 'Ye's "Runaway" beat, Cam rapped, "And Kanye, you a sucka n---a./ Dissed Dame, so my attitude is f--- the n---a/ Stuck to Jigga, how you gon' live with that?/ Took the beat, now come get it back."

"I ain't got nothing to say," Cam answered about why he jabbed at West. "Only thing I got to say is, a lot of people say I dissed Jay on that song. I didn't dis Jay on that song. For real, I'm from Harlem. I respect people getting money. Jay is getting mad cake. I respect his hustle, his grind. ... Everybody throw subliminals. They say subliminals and don't wanna say who they throwing the shots at."

When asked what provoked the line on the freestyle, Jones said: "Blouses. Shouts to Kanye. It's fun. It's hip-hop. Cam is probably one of the best rappers in the past 10 years."

"I ain't got no problem with Kanye, man," added Cam, who said he was telling the truth about 'Ye in his rhymes.

"He didn't really dis him on the record," Jones jumped back in. "He just pointed something out."

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Aiming For Early Jail Release

But L.A. Sheriff's spokesperson tells People the starlet won't be released until her October hearing.

Lindsay Lohan has returned to jail, an increasingly familiar place for the troubled starlet. However, the actress is reportedly trying to leave her new digs as soon as possible. Radar Online reports that Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, huddled with Judge Elden Fox and the deputy district attorney on Friday (September 24), hours after the actress was sent to jail for the second time in three months.

"Lindsay's lawyer is asking that bail be set," a Lohan source told the website. "Shawn Chapman Holley contends that Judge Fox must grant Lohan bail pending the probation-violation hearing on October 22."

Lohan was sent back to prison after she admitted to failing a recent drug test. According to the requirements of her release after rehab, a positive drug and/or alcohol test is grounds for additional jail time. Judge Fox denied the "Freaky Friday" actress bail and she was handcuffed and taken into custody. Lohan is expected to remain locked up until her hearing next month.

Lohan's lawyer did not respond to MTV News' request for comment at press time.

Although Lohan's legal muscle is apparently pulling out all the stops to get her released early, authorities maintain the actress won't be sprung until her next court date.

"Ms. Lohan cannot be released early because this isn't a jail sentence," L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told People. "She's being held by court order until her hearing on October 22. She will be held in the same conditions as her last stay, in a keep-away unit."

She may not be headed for an early exit, but her entrance into prison is similar to her last visit. "She's now being processed through, she's going to go through the same physical and mental evaluation," said Whitmore, who noted that, "for the safety and security of the entire jail system," Lohan will be separated from her fellow inmates.

In July, Lohan served 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence over a probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. She followed up the jail time with 23 days in a court-ordered rehab facility, less than a third of her 90-day sentence.

Nicki Minaj's 'Right Through Me' Is Huge, Birdman Says

Cash Money CEO thinks leaked single will take singer to 'another level.'
By Jayson Rodriguez

So far, Nicki Minaj is batting .500 when it comes to her singles. The over-hyped "Massive Attack" faded faster than a narcoleptic, and her tame (by Barbiez standards) "Your Love" landed atop the Billboard Rap Songs chart.

However, Cash Money co-founder Bryan "Birdman/Baby" Williams thinks "Right Through Me," which leaked online Wednesday, will take the Lil Wayne protégé to "another level."

"She's doing it: She's showing that she's skillful," Williams told MTV News about the song, which will arrive October 1. "She's singing, she's representing being a lady, and it's raw. I think it's a huge record on all formats. It's just one of them songs to me."

"Right Through Me," which Williams described as Minaj's first official single, features her rapping in a conversational tone over swaying, synth-heavy production.

"You make me laugh, you make hoarse," she raps. "From yelling at you and getting at you, picking up dishes, throwing them at you/ Why are you speaking, when no one asked you?

"You see right through me," she sings on the chorus. "How do you do that sh--?"

The song is set to appear on her Pink Friday album, set for release November 23. The project is tentatively slated to feature collaborations with Swizz Beatz, Lil Wayne and the Neptunes.

During the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show, Minaj debuted a collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am titled "Check It Out," which may also appear on the album.

Lindsay Lohan's return to jail on Friday (September 24) as a result of a probation violation has no doubt put another kink in the problem-plagued actress' attempts to revive a once-thriving career. Specifically, production on the Linda Lovelace biopic, "Inferno," which was set to begin filming in November, may be hampered by the ongoing legal troubles of its leading lady.

Still, "Inferno" director Matthew Wilder, who has been unyielding in his support for his star, said the show will go on — with Lohan.

"We love her. We want her to do well," Wilder wrote in a statement e-mailed to MTV News. "We will make the picture shortly."

Wilder added that the film will now shoot in Los Angeles instead of Louisiana, as was originally planned. "I think [it] will make things easier on the Lindsay front," he said. "I understand people's exasperation," Wilder admitted, referring to the former Disney darling's string of questionable life choices over the last few years. "I share it. But there is a tremendous gift underneath all the obvious baggage."

During Lohan's hearing on Friday, Judge Elden Fox did not hear any testimony from Lohan's lawyers before denying the 24-year-old "Mean Girls" star bail and ordering her to report to jail. Lohan was reportedly handcuffed in court before being taken into custody, meaning she could be behind bars until the next hearing in the case, scheduled for October 22.

According to the conditions of her post-rehab release, Lohan could spend 30 days in jail. She served 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence in July over a probation violation from a pair of 2007 DUI cases; she subsequently spent 23 days in a rehab facility, serving less than one third of her 90-day court-ordered sentence.

Are you surprised that Lindsay's "Inferno" director is standing by her? Tell us in the comments.

The last time Drake changed his mind about a music video at the last minute, his original idea for a sensitive clip for the ladies turned into the over-the-top "Best I Ever Had" visual directed by Kanye West.

This time, however, the Toronto lyricist insists his next video will be great, regardless of his temporary indecisiveness.

He's debating whether to reshoot "Fancy" or commission a clip for his next single, "Show Me a Good Time."

"We shot 'Fancy,' and to be honest with you, it was done and I watched it and I just had a way better idea," Drake told MTV News earlier this week. "And that's why the video hasn't come out yet. And to follow up 'Find Your Love' and 'Miss Me,' I really wanted to do something different, conceptually, and so I had this amazing idea and now I'm debating whether I should reshoot it or go straight to 'Show Me a Good Time.' But there should be a new Drake visual in the next little bit."

The Thank Me Later star said the "Fancy" clip was directed by Anthony Mandler (Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna), who also helmed "Over," "Find Your Love" and "Miss Me" for Drake.

According to Drake, the two are deciding what to do next, and the rapper is enthusiastic about the forthcoming production, regardless of which song they decide to shoot.

"It's something to look forward to," he said. "I'm excited by it."

Next up, Drake will appear in Rick Ross' "Aston Martin Music" video.

Ross talked to MTV News about the clip earlier this month, saying the visual was "dope."

"We were just going over treatments for 'Aston Martin Music,' " Ross said. "We're going to shoot the dope version: Drake's going to be rapping his verse and Chrisette [Michele will be there] and most definitely me. We're just finalizing all the details. We should be shooting that hopefully next week, so look for that real soon."

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was back in court in Los Angeles on Friday (September 24) to face the music after admitting last week to failing a recent drug test. The judge in the case was clearly not happy about this latest setback.

According to TMZ, Judge Elden Fox did not hear any testimony from Lohan's lawyers before denying the 24-year-old "Mean Girls" star bail and ordering her to immediately report to jail. Lohan was reportedly handcuffed in court before being taken into custody, meaning she could be behind bars until the next hearing in the case, scheduled for October 22.

Wearing black sunglasses, a long black blazer over a high-waisted white skirt and black top and shiny stacked heels, Lohan breezed past the assembled paparazzi around 8 a.m. on Friday on her way into court, five days after Judge Fox revoked her probation and issued a bench warrant that would have been executed had Lohan failed to show up for the hearing.

Last weekend, Lohan admitted to failing her recent drug test, conceding that she was still struggling with addiction.

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result," Lohan tweeted late Friday night.

TMZ ran earlier unconfirmed reports that Lohan actually failed two drug tests. One was for cocaine, which appears to be the incident Lohan was referring to in her tweet, while another was for amphetamines that could be related to the prescription ADHD drug she takes, Adderall, which is a stimulant. The site reported that the Probation Department was not expected to recommend jail time for the second offense because of some questions over the paperwork in that incident.

According to the conditions of her post-rehab release, Judge Fox could send Lohan back to jail for 30 days. Lohan served 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence in July over a probation violation from a pair of 2007 DUI cases; she subsequently spent 23 days in a rehab facility, serving less than one third of her 90-day court-ordered sentence.

Lohan's lawyer has not returned requests for comment on the case.

Lauren Conrad may have bid a fond farewell to "The Hills" in 2009, but LC is now ready to return to television. The "Laguna Beach" star confirmed to MTV News that she will star in a new MTV documentary reality program about launching her latest fashion line.

The show will follow Conrad as she works to launch a fashion house from the very beginning. "I am so excited to be rejoining the MTV family," she told MTV News in a statement about her new television venture. "The new project will follow me as I develop my new contemporary line and also touch on my other businesses."

Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun will be producing the new project, Conrad's third show on MTV. "We are thrilled to be in business with a terrific young entrepreneur like Lauren," they said in a statement. "It will be a lot of fun to be exploring her new work adventure with her."

Conrad got her TV start in 2004 as the star of "Laguna Beach," alongside Kristin Cavallari. Before long, Conrad moved to L.A. to pursue a career in the fashion world on her own spin-off show, "The Hills," which premiered in 2006. LC documented her relationships, friendships and professional life until she left in 2009, saying goodbye as she drove off from onetime pal Heidi's wedding to Spencer.

Since leaving the show, which wrapped production this year, she managed to build her brand, which includes the "L.A. Candy" book series as well as previous fashion collections, like her line at Kohl's.

N.E.R.D. Call Gorillaz Tour 'A Natural Marriage'

Pharrell says Damon Albarn has 'turned his imagination into the world's reality.'

Animated alterna-pop group Gorillaz will crisscross North America this fall, and they've lined up an eclectic roster of hip-hop dogs, soul legends and indie upstarts for their upcoming trek, including De La Soul, Bobby Womack and Little Dragon. Also hitting the road with the "Stylo" crew are fellow genre-melding outfit N.E.R.D., who will open up for Gorillaz starting October 3.

Gorillaz are known for staging elaborate technologically enhanced sets designed to blow concertgoers' minds while sidestepping the fact that the group's cartoon bandmembers are, well, just pretend. N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams told MTV News that he's amped for the outing and respects the way Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn has turned a collective of surly, slightly batty, animated personas into a musical force.

"I'm happy to go on tour with the Gorillaz. I think Damon is a genius," Pharrell said. "I love the way that he has exercised his mind and turned his imagination into the world's reality."

In a lineup packed with diverse voices, Pharrell said Gorillaz architects Albarn and Jamie Hewlett invited N.E.R.D. on the road because they share similar approaches to creating music.

"We aspire to continue to offer our perspective to the world in the way that we do, and I think that's the reason why they asked us to be on the road," Pharrell explained. "It's like there's like-mindedness and the appreciation for good music and the stimulation of a child's imagination, so I feel like it was a natural marriage."

After a botched Grammy appearance involving Madonna, Gorillaz are leaving the holographic elements of their stage show behind. They explained earlier this year that their upcoming performances will be similar to the gigs they ripped in the U.K. and at this year's Coachella festival — hopefully featuring special guests who couldn't make previous shows due to Europe's volcanic ash drama.

"[It'll be] the same show, maybe some different songs in the set, some of the other collaborators who will be able to make it," Hewlett told MTV News in April. "We lost loads of people to the volcano — we didn't lose them; they couldn't get on their flight. We were missing Kano and Bashy; Mos Def was in London; the Hypnotic Brass couldn't get there."

Katy Perry Shares Some Skit Ideas For 'Saturday Night Live' Gig

'I brought my whipped-cream boobs,' she says of possible props for her 'SNL' debut.

Katy Perry will serve as the musical guest on Saturday's season premiere of "Saturday Night Live," and if the singer has it her way, she'll be able to showcase her acting chops in a sketch with "SNL" alum Amy Poehler and the rest of the variety-show gang.

"I'm excited to be on 'Saturday Night Live,' because I think it's hilarious," Perry told "Access Hollywood." "I would stay up late after my parents would go to sleep and watch them. I'm hoping they will let me do a skit. I really want to do a skit. I brought my whipped-cream boobs, so if they do a sketch involving a barista — you know, coffee-making — I could be helping the people out."

This isn't the first time the pop star has expressed interest in doing a little improv with the "SNL" cast. Even before announcing her musical-guest duties, the singer tweeted, "Dear Amy Poehler can I please be your braced faced neighbor friend that hangs out with you & RICKKKKK!"

But if the soon-to-be wife of comedian Russell Brand doesn't get a chance to crack a joke, she is ready to put her all into her performances. "This summer has been so fantastic for me, so I wanted to come back with a bit of an end-of-summer celebration singing 'California Gurls' and 'Teenage Dream,' " she told "Access Hollywood." "I'm really excited to do that, because I've performed them so many times that I feel like now I'm at my prime performing these songs and so I get to bring that to 'Saturday Night Live.' "

Despite watching the show while growing up, Perry admitted that she was surprised at the size of the show's stage, saying, "When you actually get here, you see the stage is tiny. Because you see it on TV all these times, and you're like, 'Wow. Look at what people have done with the stage,' and when you get there, you're going, 'Oh my gosh, it's as big as my bathroom floor. Now dance! Now perform!' "

While Perry is set to make her debut on the sketch-comedy show, there's one show you won't find her on: "Sesame Street." The singer's cleaned-up rendition of "Hot N Cold," which was originally scheduled to air later this year, was pulled from the broadcast because of early complaints about the singer's low-cut dress.

'Jersey Shore' High Five: Snooki Doles Out One-Liners

Plus: Ronnie shows what not to do, and Angelina still sucks.
By Jim Cantiello

This week's "Jersey Shore" furthered the "Angelina Lies All the Time" plotline and introduced us to yet another new "Jersey Shore" catchphrase. What's not to love? Here are my five favorite moments from this week's episode:

5. Recycled Flowers
"Jersey Shore" is educational. If you want a healthy relationship, learn from Ronnie — by doing the complete opposite.

For example, if your roommate's date stands him up and there's a bouquet of flowers that are going to waste, Ronnie would tell you to buy them off your roomie and hand them over to your girlfriend as if you bought them. Common sense, however, would tell you to leave those flowers alone. Especially considering they had been left on a "sex" bed.

Oh, Ronnie, you put the "no" in Casanova.

4. One Flew Over the Cuca's Nest
The word of the day is "cuca."

Cuca. (noun): Slang for lady parts. "Did you ever get kicked in your cuca?" Snooki asked JWoww. "I thought I broke my vagina bone!"

Like we said: "Jersey Shore" is educational.

3. Tom's Done
JWoww's boyfriend Tom flew down for a visit, which was almost cut short when he found a dude's phone number in her notebook.

As he stormed out of the house, he shouted, "I'm done! I'm done! Get the f--- out of my face."

He's done?! I think he's been hanging out with Sammi too long. That's her word, dude.

2. Snooki Superstar
Snooki was especially awesome in this week's episode, giving out sound bites galore.

On Angelina's promiscuous ways: "She's a loosey-goose!"

On the guy at the club who asked her if she'd ever felt like killing somebody: "Right now," she said to his face.

On being woken up by Vinny after she passed out in his bed: "Do I know you?"

Should we be alarmed by how nonchalantly Snooki asked that question? Does she find herself blacking out in strangers' beds often? Eh, it doesn't matter. Her mess is our gain. Snooki, you are worth every penny MTV's paying you. We salute you.

1. Angelina Sucks
The moral of this episode? Angelina sucks. First, she refused to put out for her boyfriend on his birthday after cheating on him. Then she got especially close to Snooki's sloppy seconds at the club. But what really angered the roommates was her lack of proper disposal of a used feminine-hygiene product. Ick.

The Situation had a solution: move the dirty pad from the bathroom floor to under Angelina's pillow, which had us wondering. What does the tooth fairy give for that?

What was your favorite moment of the episode? Let us know in the comments!

Don't miss "Jersey Shore" every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Lindsay Lohan Song Rumors 'Just Lies,' RedOne Says

'I don't want to work with everybody,' famed Lady Gaga producer says of gossip linking him to the troubled actress and Heidi Montag.

According to the Wikipedia page for RedOne — whose credits include songs for none other than Lady Gaga — the producer is at work on a track for Lindsay Lohan, who was sent back to jail on Friday (September 24).

But the "Bad Romance" producer tells MTV News you can't believe everything you read on the Internet. It turns out RedOne has never worked with the actress, and he also wanted to clear the air about another rumored collaboration with a certain reality-TV star.

"That's not true. It's a lot of lies out there," he emphasized. "They said I worked with Lindsay. They said Heidi Montag — all of these are just lies. Same thing with Lady Gaga: [Other people] say, 'I'm collaborating with Lady Gaga,' just to get headlines and I think the same thing for me when it comes to the producer."

So how does his name get linked to celebrities like Lohan and Montag?

"I have no idea," RedOne said. "I heard somebody [said I was working with] Lindsay and I'm like, 'Not that I know,' " he explained. "The same thing with Heidi Montag. I see that everywhere. It's not true. I'm not working on her album."

The producer added that there's a reason why he's quick to shoot down the gossip. "I don't want to work with everybody," he said. "I don't believe in fast food. I believe in a body of work, like focus on something and do it good instead of doing everything and just be on the charts. [Make] classics: That's my goal."

One person that RedOne can confirm he's working with is Gaga, and he teased that her next LP will be her "freedom" album.

"I think it's more of her freedom album. It's like freedom this album ... it's her album!" he told us. "To be honest with you, I think that this album that she's making is too precious to talk about. When it comes out you'll hear and you'll make your choice. I think you're gonna love it. But I think it's too precious for me to talk about it. It's crazy."

Do you think a RedOne track could help Lindsay revive her career? Tell us your opinion in the comments!

Rick Ross and director Spiff TV shot a video for "I'm Not a Star," from Teflon Don, a few days ago in Miami, but this isn't like their previous viral efforts. The Bawse, in full support of Spiff's skills, shelled out for big-money production value on this one.

"It was dope. While I was on the set, I told Spiff I was proud of him to see where we started from, the viral ground up, to seeing the homie with a budget and a production crew and a [photography director] and playback screens," Ross said Friday (September 24) via phone from Dallas. "Just all the small things that help directors become great."

Spiff, also in D-Town, said the video centers on a strong performance by Ross.

"It's epic," the director said Friday. "We're showing exotics, the cars, the imagery. Birdman came through — Ross and Birdman are brothers, so he came through. Khaled did. Showed the support."

Spiff, who also does A&R at Ross' Maybach Music Group, says the team was encouraged to make "I'm Not a Star" a video because of overwhelming reaction to the song during live performances.

"The streets really f--- with it," Spiff described. "Everybody f---s with that song. When Ross performed it in New York, the Governors Island sh--, they knew it as if it was a single. The whole crowd knew the song. That's one of my favorites. Then we was in a club for some Nike sh--, I'm watching Jay-Z do every word. Ross is performing it, Jay is in the cut. I'm like, 'Damn, he knows every word.' It's crazy. After seeing everybody show love, we said we have to shoot the video for it."

Ross said the song is "definitely taking it back to the streets."

"We wanted to bring it to life," he explained. "That's what the homie Spiff captured."

"I'm Not a Star" should be out in the next week or so.

The next video Spiff will direct for Ross is "MC Hammer." Hammer himself will be in that clip.

In between the Spiff TV-commissioned shorts, Ricky Rozay will drop "Aston Martin Music." He recently shot that video with Gil Green.

"The 'Aston Martin' video was definitely some sh--," Ross said. "Me, Drake, Birdman came out, Chrisette Michele. Just the setting, the locations — that really took the video over the top. We captured that beautiful side of Miami, that outdoors feeling. We did our thing. The performances most definitely was next level. I'm excited about that record and that video."

What other Teflon Don songs do you think Ross should shoot videos for? Share your thoughts in the comments!
