Nearly two months after Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, provided a dramatic denouement to the late pop star's public memorial at the Staples Center by expressing her enduring devotion for the singer, Jackson's children again took center stage on Thursday night at their father's funeral.

As more than 200 family and close friends looked on, Jackson's three children — Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7 — opened the solemn ceremony by placing a golden crown on the gilded casket of the self-proclaimed King of Pop.

Though the funeral just outside the Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles was closed to the media and public, Jackson's spokesperson provided some details of the ceremony. The stage was covered with six large bouquets of white lilies and white roses, and on either side of a flower-decorated dais stood two pictures of Jackson in a bright yellow shirt and thick gold belt. Helicopter cameras hovering overhead showed that Jackson's family placed his flower-covered casket in front of the audience — including Macaulay Culkin, Mila Kunis, Stevie Wonder, ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, Corey Feldman, Elizabeth Taylor, Barry Bonds, Berry Gordy, Quincy Jones, Teddy Riley, Chris Tucker, Gladys Knight and the Reverend Al Sharpton — but due to the media blackout, no audio was available.

The pallbearers included Jackson's five brothers — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy Jackson — who all wore suits with their brother's signature black armband and one sequined glove, according to Us Weekly. The opening prayer was delivered by Pastor Lucius Smith, who also offered prayers at July's Staples Center event. Singer and family friend Gladys Knight sang the gospel hymn "His Eye Is on the Sparrow," accompanied by frequent Jackson collaborator keyboardist Greg Phillinganes, who was the musical director for the singer's "Bad" and "Dangerous" tours. Songwriter Clifton Davis sang the Jackson 5 song "Never Can Say Goodbye," which he penned for the group.

Among those who reportedly made spontaneous remarks from the podium were family patriarch Joseph Jackson, close family friend the Reverend Al Sharpton, as well as other friends and unnamed family members. "I just spoke at the conclusion of tributes," Sharpton wrote on his Twitter account during the ceremony. "Gladys Knight sang her heart out. Now we prepare to lay him to rest." The ceremony lasted about an hour and 15 minutes and wrapped up at approximately 9:45 p.m. PT. "Michael Jackson has been laid to rest," Sharpton tweeted around this time.

Following the ceremony, Jackson's brothers carried the casket into the Great Mausoleum, followed by guests.

"The Jackson Family wishes to once again thank all of Michael's fans around the world for their generous outpouring of support during this terribly difficult time," the statement said. "Their expressions of love for Michael and his music have sustained the Jackson Family."

At DJ AM's memorial at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, the celebrity DJ's family and friends gathered to remember AM, who was found dead in his New York apartment less than a week before.

AM (born Adam Goldstein), who is suspected to have died of a drug overdose, had been sober for about a decade when he was found dead. The service, which was attended by ex-fiancée Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and other famous friends, was in the style of a 12-step meeting. AM's girlfriend, Hayley Wood, spoke at the memorial, People reported.

"I have never experienced anything quite like Adam Goldstein. He made me feel warm and whole," said Wood, who was one of the few people to speak, according to People's source. "He smelled soft. Adam was a remarkable human being, and so many have been blessed by his presence."

She went on to say that while they were together, "We talked of marriage and excitement of having children together. He would whisper in my ear sometimes before we went to sleep, 'Goodnight, my sweet angel.' Most mornings when I woke up, he'd make me toast and juice and say, 'Good morning, soul mate.' I will cherish the memories forever.

"Even though our time together was short, I would change nothing," Wood added. "The love I continue to feel for him and the love that we shared together will live with me and those who witnessed us together forever. ... I will never be the same without him. A part of me has passed away with him. Even the warmest of days will never compare to the warmth I felt when I touched him. He was my soul mate, and now he is my soul. He was my amazing grace."

During the service, the DJ booth where AM used to spin was left empty except for his laptop, headphones and two pairs of sneakers in his place.

Tokio Hotel Premiere Epic 'Automatic' Video

Clip contains lots of robotic imagery playing up title of band's forthcoming LP, Humanoid.

Tokio Hotel fans, the wait is over.

After months of nightmares, arguments and chauffeured drives around Hollywood, Tokio Hotel finally gave fans a first full taste of the band's much-anticipated Humanoid album, premiering the video for the first single — the soaring "Automatic" — on their Web site late Thursday.

The clip, which was filmed in South Africa, is all kinds of epic, featuring the band racing across windswept plains in classic muscle cars; sweeping, helicopter-aided cinematography; a futuristic, H.R. Giger-inspired stage and a pair of robotic co-stars that sort of resemble the villainous cyborg from "Robocop 2."

We also see TH frontman Bill Kaulitz rocking out in a fur-lined leather ensemble (and wearing a massive Humanoid ring across his knuckles), and his brother Tom showing off his new cornrows. Oh, and there's a message, too — that love can save us all, or make us human (or something like that) — courtesy of those robots, who seem hell-bent on destroying one another until they embrace, and gaze out into the horizon.

The video seems to verify producer/songwriter David Jost's earlier comments that Humanoid is very much influenced by the Kaulitz brothers' newfound interest in science fiction,as he told MTV News in a statement earlier this summer.

"Bill has already given a name for the new record: Humanoid. The word 'Humanoid' comes from the science-fiction language, meaning 'humanlike,' " Jost said. "This word is pronounced differently in the English and German language but is written the same way in both languages. Bill wanted the new record to have only one name worldwide: Humanoid."

Snoop Dogg Joins Young Jeezy At America's Most Wanted Cincinnati Tour Stop

Lil Wayne rocks the amphitheater with 90-minute set.

CINCINNATI — From the screams and shout-back lyrics in the near-capacity crowd at Riverbend Amphitheater on Thursday night, you'd think Lil Wayne had never visited the Queen City. In fact, Weezy was here earlier this year, playing the local arena to an equally enthusiastic audience. And, as if further proof were needed that he's "the best rapper alive," as he frequently reminded his faithful in neon letters on the big screen above the stage, even a surprise appearance by Snoop Dogg couldn't steal the spotlight from Weezy F. Baby on this night.

With just a handful of dates left on the America's Most Wanted tour, Wayne's 90-minute show provided ample proof that even if his long-rumored "rock" album, Rebirth, doesn't end up riff-packed as advertised, the New Orleans-bred MC still has plenty of love for headbanging and guitar slangin'.

For much of the show, Wayne was backed by his hard-hitting four-piece band, which grinded out power chords that would do a metal-loving bar band proud, particularly on the (literally) explosive opening tune, "A Milli," which was accompanied by showers of sparks, flash bangs and Kiss-worthy pyro.

The show opened much more quietly several hours earlier with brief sets from Jeremih and Pleasure P, who warmed the stage up for Soulja Boy Tell'em. The teenage rapper stormed out with his four man S.O.D. Money crew, dressed in camo shorts and matching green Ed Hardy shirt, his coaster-size watch and diamond studded globe chain nearly blinding everyone in the first 10 rows.

With each tune punctuated by tooth-rattling samples of gunshots, Soulja Boy largely ignored his older hits in favor of tracks like "Gucci Bandana," getting the largely female crowd teetering back and forth in unison to the molasses-thick, rib rattling bass thump of "Turn My Swag On."

He took the stage solo for "Kiss Me Through The Phone," but curiously ignored the tune that made him famous, "Crank That."

Young Jeezy was next, augmented by a single hype man and a DJ for trunk rattlers like "My Hood" and "Trap or Die," occasionally dropping out the beat entirely and pushing through his street-smart lyrics in just his hoarse holler.

And then Snoop Dogg came out. The surprise appearance by the Doggfather — who was hanging backstage with Cincinnati legend/Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins earlier in the night — drew hollers from the crowd. Dressed in a powder-blue tracksuit, Snoop took the mic for a few verses of "Gin and Juice" before leaving in a puff of smoke as Jeezy rolled into "Put On," during which his black-clad band bounced out, black bandanas covering their faces.

Now backed by a guitar, bass, keyboards, a drummer and a three-piece horn section, Jeezy worked through the hook of "Love in This Club" (warning "this ain't no motherf---ing R&B show") before sliding into the more thug-riffic "Imma Do Me." How large is Jeezy? As the strains of this year's unofficial inaugural anthem, "My President," boomed out, Jeezy saluted, thanked the crowd and walked off stage without dropping a single lyric from the tune.

By the time Wayne came out, the amphitheater — which was nearly empty when the show began — was packed with girls in their micro-mini, gladiator-sandal finest and the suburban dudes grinding right behind them. They joined Wayne in pointing to the east and west during "Got Money," looked up to the clear night sky for "Phone Home" and shouted along to Weezy's verse on "Swagga Like Us," which was accompanied by rolling drums and a squealing guitar solo.

With barely a moment to breathe, Wayne dove right into "Mr. Carter" during an opening barrage that played like one of his mixtapes, as hot jam after jam was rolled out by DJ 4our 5ive, who kept things moving briskly. As you might expect, giant, face-flushing flames shot up during the nearly-metal take on "Fireman" before Wayne took a moment to pay homage to a trio of rap greats — Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur and Jay-Z — with verses from each. He, of course, added himself to the hip-hop triumvirate, as "the best rapper alive" blazed across the on-stage screens and he strapped on a Gibson Les Paul guitar for a shambling rumble through Aerosmith's "Walk This Way."

"Prom Queen" turned into a trip to a Vegas-worthy strip club as four dancers with pom-poms shook it while Wayne's guitarist blasted out an Eddie Van Halen-worthy solo amid synchronized stripper pole routines. In case you didn't get it, the stage filled with huge clouds of green smoke for "Kush," as a half dozen fog geysers accompanied a Cypress Hill-like woozy bass thump.

Wayne's "daddy," Birdman, did his nightly cameo on "We Takin' Over," "Run This City" and "Always Strapped," before the show hit a bit of a lull as Weezy brought out the Young Money All-Stars one at a time for some shine. Though Nicki Minaj made eyeballs pop with her liquid leather pants and a silver-and-blue bustier during her speed-rap spotlight (and despite a co-sign from Baby), up-and-comers like Lil Twist, Lil Chuckee and Gudda Gudda got polite applause.

Finally, nearly an hour into the show, Weezy dipped deeper into songs from Tha Carter III, grinding through the dark dirges "3 Peat" and "Let the Beat Build" and gladly getting cuffed by four sexy cops during "Mrs. Officer." The stripper poles came out again for "Lollipop," which rocked like Travis Barker had gotten his thunderpaws on it, though it was hard to know what to watch as Wayne thrust at Minaj while flames shot up and scantily clad dancers tossed money at each other.

At the end of the night, Wayne stood center stage surrounded by his extended Young Money family, but you can be sure all eyes were on Mr. Carter.

Did 50 Cent Throw A Jab At Jay-Z On 'Flight 187'?

We try to figure out if Fif's line was a dis, in Off the Dome.
By Shaheem Reid

50 Cent and Jay-Z started out dissing each other, then they became somewhat cool, went on the road together, collaborated on freestyles and songs and the two NYC-bred moguls have made some money together. So will the New York giants be at odds anytime soon? Hmmm.

Fif dropped a video last night from his new mixtape The 50th Law of Power, which includes the line "Jay rockin' that Urkel look, isn't he from Marcy?/ They say he growing dreads and now he's talking like a Yardie." Is it a stone-cold dis, or is Curtis Jackson just poking a little fun at his friend's much talked about 'fro? Jay had been growing his hair long for about a year, explaining that he didn't want to cut it until his album was completed.

We all know 50's penchant for battling his peers, but usually when he wants to really insult somebody, he gets directly to the point with no gray area. Still, some of the fans on Twitter and Facebook say that the remark is a definite jab.

What will Jay-Z think? Hov for the most part has ignored the bad-mouthing he's received from Cam'ron, Jim Jones and the Game the past few years. In the latest edition of XXL, he calls the West Coast former G-Unit member "no competition."

"I mean, Game, I'm his f---ing idol," Hov said in the October issue. "If you ask him and he's being truthfully honest with you ... it's just based off his insecurities and, for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn't do anything for me. It's almost like someone trying to set you up, and everyone knows they're to set you up ... it's just dumb. It's not in the spirit of competition, because he's not competition for me. He's not. Not then, not ever — he'd have to improve considerably. Competition for me is Nas, Eminem. Like Jim Jones? That's ridiculous to me. So how do I respond to that? I can't win. If I win, then they'll be like, 'See. Now chill. You're a f---in' bully.' And if Game manages to throw a haymaker from the West Coast, then it's like, 'Oooooh.' It's not even fun."

Surely Hov would see 50 Cent as a worthy adversary — that's if the two decided to spark that lyrical rivalry up again. Personally, the guys up here in 1515 Broadway are hoping it won't come to that. We need more Jay and 50 songs, a real hardcore joint like that Reebok commercial freestyle. We'd love to see Hov and Fif on tour together again, like on "Rock the Mic." It's not up to us though. What do you guys think?

Kevin Jonas' Wedding: Best Men Instead Of A Best Man

Joe and Nick Jonas now know just who is going to be the best man at Kevin's wedding to longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa. And, no, he didn't decide to pick littlest brother Frankie.

"They both are [my best man]," Kevin said in a radio interview with Canada's Hot 89.9FM Radio during a tour stop in Ottawa. "[Deleasa] actually has two sisters, kind of the same age as well. It works out really well because there are two maids of honor and two best men."

Last month, Nick tried to play it cool when asked if Kevin had picked which brother was going to be his best man. But he did reveal that Kevin and Danielle were possibly planning a winter wedding. "They have not set a date yet, but I think that it'll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year — something like that," Nick said. "We've talked about it a little bit [about who is going to be best man]. He's working it all out, but we'll see what happens."

But Joe revealed in an earlier interview that he had his hopes set on being Kevin's best man. "I want it. I'll be the best best man ever," he said, also revealing the best man plan for any future Jonas weddings. "Eventually if I get married, [the best man is] gonna be Nick, and when it's Nick, [the best man is] gonna be Frankie."

'You'd mash that together and put some mascara on it,' Better Than Ezra's Kevin Griffin tells MTV News.

Kevin Griffin made a name for himself in the '90s with Better Than Ezra, but these days, when he's not busy working with the band and releasing new music, he's writing with some of the biggest names from "American Idol."

He's worked with everyone from Jason Castro to David Cook and David Archuleta, and this time around, he's written some songs for Kris Allen and Adam Lambert for their top-secret, highly anticipated debuts, both out this fall. He's hoping the songs he submitted for Lambert make the final cut.

"As a songwriter, you want to get on the projects that are high-profile but you hope are going to be successful," he said about collaborating with "Idol" alumni. "And certainly, the 'Idol' things are successful."

So what should fans expect from Lambert's upcoming debut? "Adam has that potential for that worldwide, crazy success, 'cause his taste is kind of an international kind of thing," Griffin said.

As fans of the show know already, Lambert has a flair for the theatrical and a penchant for glittery rock. Griffin said that there will probably also be some disco thrown in.

"I know that they're going for more of an international, pop-rock, goth sound," he said. "I know what they're wanting, and I think it's going to be something that you could hear in between a Fall Out Boy song and a Kylie Minogue song. You'd mash that together and put some mascara on it."

Twista Talks Hottest MCs List, Says He's 'Underrated'

'My personality as a humble person kinda doesn't contribute to letting people know what I do or how I do it,' he says.

When you look at the criteria to make our Hottest MCs in the Game list, the first thing the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust analyzes is artists' lyrics, flow and how they implant their gift of gab into hit songs and albums.

Going off that alone, Twista definitely has an almost airtight case to make this year's list. The Chicago legend has been a song assassin. Rappers from Jay-Z to UGK have called him to out and out murder their tracks with a cameo appearance. Just for his nonstop rapid flow alone, Twista has earned himself a spot with the all-time coldest on the microphones. Still, Twista has yet to make a Hottest MCs list.

Could 2009 be Twista's year? His single "Wetter" was an underground smash and club favorite. What the Brain Trust will be looking at when it comes to the 20-year vet will be if he's been able to tie everything together. Has he made a huge impact? What type of seismic shift has he caused culturally?

"I definitely feel I'm underrated," Twista said. "My personality as a humble person kinda doesn't contribute to letting people know what I do or how I do it. When I look at those lists, there's a lot of times I could have stepped up and said, '[One of the people on the list] don't got patterns like this. He don't spit no sh-- like this.' And they can't say nothing, because I know I got some lyrics to back it up. I could come with that whole 'rah rah' thing. At some point, I'm gonna drop this project called The Most Underrated and let them know what's happening. It's gonna be a mixtape. [I'm] the Michael Finley of rap. I'm just gonna go for broke and let them know I do what I do and make them wanna put me in those top-10 lists sometime when they do it."

Twista also said fans should look forward to his new album, Category F6, coming first thing next year.

Who do you think is the Hottest MC in the Game? Don't forget to vote from now through September 21 to have your voice heard.

While Michael Jackson was being buried in a lavish ceremony across town, friends, family and fans paid a final tribute to DJ AM (born Adam Goldstein) on Thursday night at the Hollywood Palladium, less than one week after the popular celebrity DJ was found dead in his New York apartment of an apparent drug overdose.

According to People, hundreds of invited guests and fans turned out to remember AM, 36, who was buried on Wednesday, among them former fiancée Nicole Richie and friends Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson, Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart and Robert Downey Jr. E! Online reported that the VIPs also included Dr. Drew Pinsky, Tom Arnold, Jon Favreau and Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath.

"He was my soulmate and now he is my soul," girlfriend Hayley Wood said during the two-and-a-half-hour memorial. "He is my amazing grace."

Because of the anonymity requested by organizers to honor the structure of a 12-step meeting, no press was allowed into the event, and few details have emerged about what was said inside.

Radar Online reported that the 3,500 attendees also included John Mayer and that the event was organized by Hollywood club promoter Brent Bolthouse. While fans reportedly scrambled to get a seat in the venue, an eyewitness described the crowd as "very hip and eclectic," with some in T-shirts and jeans and others in black suits. "It was packed, though. You could tell how well loved he was," the witness told the site. "It was a very somber and sad crowd."

The Palladium was a fitting place for AM's final memorial, as it was the first venue he performed in following the South Carolina plane crash he and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker survived last September.

The New York City medical examiner's office has not yet determined a cause of death and is conducting further toxicology tests, but there were several reports from unnamed sources earlier this week that AM had more than half a dozen undigested OxyContin pills in his stomach and one in his mouth when police found him face down on his bed in his barricaded Soho apartment.
