For all the Lady Gaga and Cher fans out there who fainted at the news that two of pop music's biggest stars have teamed up on a soon-to-be released record, your wait is almost over!

Cher herself confirmed via Twitter back in August that we would hear "The Greatest Thing" sometime in September, and because the month is quickly coming to an end, we should only have a few more days to wait to hear the highly anticipated track.

To hold you over until the release, MTV News recently caught up with RedOne, the producer mastermind behind the soon-to-be hit, to find out how the song came to be and why everyone will love it.

"[Gaga and I] recorded the song a few years ago, and we were always in the studio enjoying that song. It's weird we never did anything with it," he said. "So I remember my management and Cher's management were trying to get us together, and I thought, 'Oh my God, I'd love to meet Cher, just to meet her!' And so I met her, I played her some songs, and I played her 'The Greatest Thing,' and she loved it. She said, 'This is my song,' I said, 'Yes, it's your song.' "

RedOne said he let Gaga know via text message, and she was ecstatic. Then, about a month later, Red received a text from Gaga that inspired an epic pairing.

"I cut the vocals with Cher first, and I was in Madrid and got a text from Gaga saying, 'I'm thinking about jumping on the song in the remix,' " he recalled. "I was like, 'No, you should jump on the original! Make it a duet.' She said, 'Oh yes, OK, absolutely,' and then I spoke to Cher, and it became a party.

"Everybody loved it," he added. "Gaga on it, Cher, two big icons, [they are] part of music history. So it happened. I'm very happy to be a part of this."

Of course, RedOne wouldn't reveal when we'll hear the track, only that it's coming soon.

Kristin Cavallari's 'Dancing With The Stars' Rehearsal 'Sweaty But Fun'

'I don't have any dance experience, so this is very new for me,' former 'Hills' starlet tells MTV News.

Kristin Cavallari may not have started out as a dancer, but she's definitely a quick learner.

On the season 13 debut of "Dancing With the Stars" last week, the 24-year-old former "Hills" and "Laguna Beach" starlet wowed the judges and audiences alike when she shook her way through the cha-cha, proving she has more to offer than just reality-TV drama. MTV News caught up with "DWTS" pro Mark Ballas and the former reality bad girl, who stressed the show's grueling (but fun) rehearsal schedule.

"Mark and I have been rehearsing since 8 in the morning, which Mark's not very happy about," the blond bombshell confessed. "But it's been a good day. We're getting a lot done. We've been here for five hours almost, so we're a little sweaty, but it's been fun."

"I'm not a morning person at all," Ballas reaffirmed.

Even though Cavallari nabbed a respectable score during the season premiere (19/30), the starlet told us she's not used to all the showstopping choreography. "I don't have any dance experience, so this is very new for me. I'm out of my element here. The only style of dance I would do is like bop around at a club," she laughed.

Coming off a rough year, which includes a broken engagement, Cavallari said she's "having a lot of fun" in rehearsals, particularly learning the quickstep, which she'll be performing on Monday night's (September 26) episode. There is another dance on her bucket list as well.

"I'm looking forward to learning how to salsa dance. That's something I've always wanted to do," she said. "Dancers ... how they way they carry themselves is just completely different than how we do it in our everyday lives. They're just very free with their bodies, which I'm not very used to, although with the quickstep, I have to be very in frame and strong."

Ballas is also intent on helping the reality star build up her physique, saying, "We're working on core muscles, trying to get those abs rocking."

Will you be voting for Kristin on "Dancing With the Stars"? Tell us in the comments!

Demi Lovato's latest release, Unbroken, is garnering lots of attention thanks to its catchy tracks and empowering message. Beyond co-signs from Lovatics and a number of celebrities, including Ashley Greene, Sean Kingston and even Joe Jonas, it's also received great reviews from the hardest people to please: the critics.

But Lovato isn't paying attention to any of it. She told MTV News she's more focused on the here and now and the excitement of having a whole new crop of music for everyone to hear. "I haven't actually looked at any of the critics or reviews," she said. "So, if they're good, awesome; if they're bad, whatever."

According to reports, despite some stiff competition on the charts from the likes of Tony Bennett and Lady Antebellum, Lovato is still expected to sell pretty big. Billboard.com reports that she'll likely sell about 110,000 copies of her album, besting her previous chart-topping release, 2009's Here We Go Again, which sold slightly less with 108,000.

"I'm feeling really excited," Lovato said. "The album just came out, so we're really, really excited. And it seems to be doing well, so I'm really, really happy."

Now that the album is getting some love and she's readying the release of her next single, "Who's That Boy," it seems like a good time to start remixing tracks. "I'd love to hear the feedback on who would want to remix," she said. "We actually have a remix on the album by Wizz Dumb, and he remixed 'Skyscraper,' and it sounds really awesome. You can check that out: It's on the album."

If anyone would jump on the album, Lil Wayne might be just the right guy. Lovato has certainly made his track "How to Love" all her own. Of a potential collaboration, she said, "That would be amazing. I've never met him in my life, so if I got to be onstage with him, I would just die."
