Lady Gaga's "Yoü and I" video is is eye candy — if your type of eye candy involves freaky sci-fi love stories, that is. The Laurieann Gibson-directed video, which makes its television debut tonight at 7:49 p.m. ET/PT on MTV and Logo during "MTV First: Lady Gaga," certainly recalls many of the personas in Gaga's world.

Lady Gaga's musical director recalls how "Yoü and I" came to be.

There are nods to many of Gaga's past incarnations. When she stands at a crossroads in a big hat, the image is reminiscent of "Telephone" Gaga. When she sits nearly makeup-free at her piano in the cornfields, there are touches of the teary-eyed makeup-less Gaga from the "Bad Romance" video. Flashes of her wedding may remind fans of the wedding dress she wore in the "Judas" clip. Robot Gaga's facial structures recall some of the steampunk looks of her "Alejandro" video. Those are only a few of the nods to past personas from her own videography.

Go behind the scenes of a top-secret Lady Gaga shoot.

But there are two other significant personas that fans of the singer will recognize from the Gaga-verse, her male alter ego, Jo Calderone, and her mermaid alter ego, Yuyi. But those not as familiar with all things Gaga might be wondering just who these two are.

Jo Calderone first appeared in Vogue Hommes Japan last September. In the issue, Jo revealed how he knows the superstar and fans were teased as to the nature of their relationship. "[My occupation is] mechanic for my dad's business. This is the first time I've had my picture taken. Well, I always helped my dad at work, since I was a kid. I thought it would be fun to have my picture taken," he said in the issue.

As for how he feels about Gaga, he shared, "She's f---in' beautiful, and funny, and interesting. I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting. She said, 'Don't be baby, you were born this way.' I took her out after. The rest is private." He later reemerged on the single art for the song "You And I."

Fans first learned of Yuyi back in June, when Gaga teased that at some point she'd be the "reincarnation" of Gaga's "birth+artistic spirit." She appeared as a version of that mermaid figure during her performance on France's "Le Grand Journal" in June. Last month, on her official Tumblr, she posted a photo of herself as a mermaid figure, this time in a wheelchair, when she performed in Sydney.

Don't miss the television premiere of the "Yoü and I" video during "MTV First: Lady Gaga," Thursday night at 7:49 p.m. ET on MTV and Logo, followed by a live Q&A with Gaga and her fans on MTV.com. Tweet your questions for the Mother Monster with the hashtag #MTVGaga.

Robert Rodriguez Explains '4-D' Smells In 'Spy Kids 4'

Director tells MTV News about film's use of 'Aroma-Scope' technology.

Director Robert Rodriguez has made a career out of pushing the filmmaking envelope in various ways, from "Desperado" to "From Dusk Till Dawn" to his very successful "Spy Kids" franchise, which includes the first resurgent 3-D film, 2003's "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over."

To mark the release of the fourth "Spy Kids" film, Rodriguez has added another level to the 3-D canon with "Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D." And what exactly makes a film 4-D? A little extra sensory overload provided by what Rodriguez calls an "Aroma-Scope."

"Instead of just going 3-D like we did on the last one, we brought in 4-D, which is a very fun gimmick that I found in this old movie in the '80s," Rodriguez told MTV News of being inspired by John Waters' use of Smell-O-Vision for 1981's "Polyester." "It's kind of a scratch-and-sniff [experience] and you get to be really, almost like a video game, interactive with the movie. There are some really surprising smells, and some of the biggest laughs come from that."

Rodriguez went on to say that the Aroma-Scope, which is a card with eight numbers on it that audience members are given with their 3-D glasses, provides viewers with a less passive and more interactive film-going experience.

"Even my own kids, people today are so interactive with gaming that to go and watch the movie feels so passive, so this really bridges the gap between the two," he explained. "You're watching the movie and then almost like video game numbers come up and you [scratch] the cards and smell almost exactly what the characters are smelling. It's funny, the characters are all reacting to it, the adults are reacting to it — it's really fun."

Colbie Caillat Recalls Breaking Dad's Grammy On 'When I Was 17'

Colbie Caillat knows the value of a Grammy: The singer/songwriter already has two to her name. But back when she was 17 years old, an out-of-control house party nearly destroyed one of her father's own coveted awards. On the season premiere of "When I Was 17," airing this Saturday at 11 a.m. ET, Caillat tells all about that night.

"When I was 17, we used to have parties at my parents' house all the time. This one time, hundreds and hundreds of people showed up at my house, and we thought it was really cool because it was like, 'Oh my god, all these people came!' " Caillat recalls.

The more people piled in though, the more difficult it became to keep the party under control.

"Everyone was drinking way too much, and a huge fight broke out. It was just one of those crazy parties," she says. "Different schools, no one got along. And this one guy jumped on my parents' pool table and jumped off of it to tackle this other guy, which then they hit into the wall, and there was blood on the wall. And alcohol was spit on our pool table, the front door got broken, stuff got stolen."

The front door wasn't the only thing that got broken though. "The worst part about it is that my dad's Grammy was up above our TV, and during the party, it got knocked over and it fell on the ground and broke in half," Caillat recalls.

So, how did Caillat's father react after he learned his trophy had been split in two? Tune into the premiere of "When I Was 17" to find out.

"When I Was 17" — this week featuring Bow Wow, Christopher Mintz-Passe and Colbie Caillat — premieres Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on MTV.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Are Set 'Free' In 'Maggie' Video

The Red Hot Chili Peppers wowed fans with their new video for "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," the first single from their upcoming album, I'm With You. The video's MTV debut was followed by a lively and playful chat with the Peppers themselves: Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer.

Conversation flowed as easily as a face-melting lick from Flea's bass, and the topics covered included their much-needed "hiatus" and how it reinvigorated their music-making, along with details about the forthcoming album. Naturally, one of the main topics to address was the "Maggie" video, which, according to frontman Kiedis, was inspired by their home state of California.

"We wanted to go be outside and be free and play and see what happened," he said, mentioning that the clip's first concept, which was "indoors and dark and dank," was scrapped because it didn't match the fun of the song. "So we thought, 'Let's go with the opposite of that,' and the opposite of that was a rooftop."

How did Flea's hour-long bass groove turn into "Rain Dance Maggie"?

"We knew that if we just got with our nature of where we live that it would be beautiful," Flea chimed in. "We shot it on 16mm film, which really gave it a nice look, and we love each other, we love playing our music and we love our song."

"It's a nice place to be," Kiedis added about the band's fondness for the clip's location of Venice Beach. "There are palm trees, there are waves, there are people."

It's a little gritty too, we offered.

"I think Chad Smith brought the grit," Kiedis joked of the drummer.

"Maggie" director Marc Klasfeld explains how the "simple and iconic" video was made.

Speaking of grit, the band revealed that there were no railings or nets to prevent them from tumbling off the edge of the rooftop.

"We were hanging out," Kiedis said of the daring lack of safety equipment on set. "There was a character at the end of the video — I don't know if you saw him, but he looks a little bit like Mickey Rourke in 'The Wrestler.' I thought that he would probably catch me if I fell," he laughed.

Be sure to check back with MTV.com for highlights from the Q&A, including the band discussing the early inspiration for their iconic videos, where they feel they belong in music history, whether Anthony Kiedis will ever join Twitter and more!

Mac Miller Talks First Single Off <i>Blue Slide Park</i>

Mac Miller likes to let his music do the talking, and even with his debut independent album, Blue Slide Park, a few months from release, he is remaining tight-lipped. On Wednesday (August 17), the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, MC tweeted, "Tomorrow at 6pm. THE FIRST SINGLE IS COMING OUT!" Then, when he appeared on MTV's "RapFix Live" later in the day, host Sway was able to pry just a little more information from the 19-year-old MC.

"It's called 'Frick Park Market' ... produced by ID Labs," said the 2011 MTV Jams Fab 5 inductee after some interrogation from Sway. ID Labs is a Pittsburgh production team that consists of E. Dan and Big Jerm and has produced songs like Mac's "Best Day Ever" and Wiz Khalifa's "The Race."

"Frick Park Market" borrows its title from a local Pittsburgh deli known for its homemade sandwiches. "Man, it's just the jam. It's just the jam, that's all I can say. The video is about to be crazy. You're gonna see a whole new side of me," Mac said. "I can't describe it. I'll say that we worked our asses off making this video and spent two 17-hour days just doing nothing but filming and working and setting up shop. I wanted to make sure there was nothing more I could've done."

The album's title also pays homage to Mac's hometown. "Blue Slide Park is a park in Pittsburgh we grew up at," Miller told MTV News of the title's significance. "Being 2 going down slides and then being 6 playing Little League and hanging out there, then being older coming back there to drink and smoke and party, running from the cops. And now going back there just to chill out and drink a beer."

It's a big week for Lady Gaga. After announcing she'd be performing at the 2011 Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 28, promos for the big show featuring the Mother Monster herself were unveiled, giving fans a very candid, stripped-down take on her latest single, "Yoü and I."

In one clip, Gaga proves that it is possible to remove your bra and play the piano at the same time. She then stands up from the piano, holding some strategically placed sheet music to stay suitable for TV. In a second promo, Gaga sits and croons the track, a jazz band backing her up.

"Sometimes I'm really happy and I write music, and sometimes I'm really angry and sometimes I'm really drunk or sometimes I'm super sober," she says in another promo about the impending big night. "You don't really know why or if or how you write music."

'American Idol' Exec Responds To Adam Levine's Gripes

Posted: 17 Aug 2011 05:03 AM PDT

'If somebody wants to say they're gay, it's up to them,' Nigel Lythgoe tells Entertainment Weekly after 'The Voice' judge's comments.

Once Maroon 5 frontman and "The Voice" judge Adam Levine gave "American Idol" a tongue-lashing regarding what Levine deemed the "masking" of its gay contestants, it seemed only a matter of time before we'd hear a rebuttal from the "Idol" powers that be. Said rebuttal has arrived via executive producer Nigel Lythgoe in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"To be frank, I didn't understand why we're talking about contestants being gay or not gay," Lythgoe told the magazine when asked about Levine's complaint that the ratings juggernaut prefers that gay contestants don't publicly disclose their sexuality. "I don't go into my dentist and say, 'Are you gay?' I don't say to contestants on 'So You Think You Can Dance' [on which Lythgoe serves as a judge and executive producer], 'Are you gay?' What does it got to do with me? What does it got to do with anybody? When does privacy stop in this country? If somebody wants to say they're gay, it's up to them. You don't expect us to turn around and say, 'Are you gay?' Why would we do that? — 'By the way, he's a Catholic and he supports Obama and here's his sexuality' — what does that have anything to do with singing talent? Maybe it does for Adam Levine, but not for me."

When asked by the interviewer if the reason why there have not been openly gay contestants on "Idol" is that it's up to the individual, Lythgoe brought up season eight runner-up Adam Lambert, who is gay but never spoke about it on the show.

"He must have come out before being on 'Idol,' he just didn't talk about it on 'Idol.' And why should he? Is every actor going on television going to say, 'I'm only playing the part of a straight man, I'm really gay'? There's no reason that I would see why anybody that goes on television should start coming out with who they are, what they are, what their sexuality is, who they're going to vote for or what their religion is."

Lythgoe made his point about personal choice and privacy, but he did not address whether the show has an official policy on the matter.

French Montana Plans Throne-Style LP With Waka Flocka

Don't expect rap's tag-team trend to die anytime soon. In its first week, Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne moved more than 430,000 copies and snagged the #1 spot on the Billboard albums chart. Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame also charted, selling more than 16,000 copies of their Ferrari Boyz LP.

New York City's French Montana is up next.

"I got an album coming out with me and Waka. It's called Lock Out. It's gonna be out in five weeks," French told Mixtape Daily of his new project. "The first single is called 'I Want It.' It's crazy. It's some crunk, like some 'Choppa Down,' but on steroids."

French rose to prominence in an unconventional way, first by creating the "Cocaine City" street DVD series, in which he showcased his music and the music of others. He has since collaborated with Akon, Max B, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame, making a name for himself in rap's underground. Last year, Montana dropped "Choppa Down" with Waka, and now his current single, "Shot Caller," is heating up the streets.

While he isn't currently signed, the former Konvict Music MC is planning the release of his debut LP. "I got that Excuse My French joint — it's coming like late this year or early next year — but for now I'm just doing the street album," he said before talking about the different contracts being thrown his way. "I ain't gonna let the cat out the bag, but it's about seven labels right now. So we're just workin', lookin' for the best one."

Kanye West, Jay-Z's <i>Watch The Throne</i> Scores Huge On <i>Billboard</i>

The Throne will get a royal reception on the Billboard 200 albums charts next week. Watch the Throne, the superstar hookup between Kanye West and Jay-Z, sold more than 436,000 copies in its first week, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan, putting up the second-biggest debut sales week of the year so far, behind Lady Gaga's Born This Way, which moved 1.1 million.

Thanks to a three-day iTunes exclusive that launched last Monday (August 8-10), the pair also reportedly broke the record for the biggest iTunes debut ever, selling almost 290,000 digital copies, enough to beat out former record-holder Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, which sold 282,000 copies in 2008. According to Billboard, with 321,000 total downloads, Throne is second only to Born This Way (662,000) for the biggest digital week ever.

See what fans thought of the Watch the Throne pop-up store, which appeared in NYC last week.

The album might have sold more, but some experts said its staggered release — following the iTunes exclusive, it was available to all digital and physical sellers on Friday, giving fans only two days to snatch it up before SoundScan's tracking week ended on Sunday — may have curtailed its first-week sales potential.

Either way, it's a huge score for both rappers, earning Jay his 12th #1 album and Kanye his fifth.

There are a few other debuts in the top 10, but they pale in comparison to the Throne numbers. Country singer Luke Bryan's Tailgates & Tanlines comes in at #2 (145,000), the Now 39 compilation is just behind at #3 (110,000) and rapper Ace Hood hits #8 with Blood Sweat & Tears (26,000).

The rest of the top 10: Adele's 21 (#4, 73,000), Eric Church's Chief (#5, 37,000), Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party (#6, 36,000), Beyoncé's 4 (#7, 27,000), Jackie Evancho's Dream With Me (#9, 26,000) and Kidz Bop Kids' Kidz Bop 20 (#10, 25,000).

In a parallel to its shock poor performance at the box office, the soundtrack to "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie" hit the charts at a tepid #16 on soft sales of 20,000. And maybe it was their well-received set at Lollapalooza, but VMA-nominated new wave revivalists Foster the People's debut, Torches, is up 23 percent and six spots to #14 as sales picked up to 21,000.

Jay and 'Ye rule the roost, but another rap double team, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame, make a little less noise down at #21 with their joint album, 1017 Bricksquad Presents: Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka Flame — Ferrari Boyz (17,000). Down at #49, Eminem's Bad Meets Evil cohort, Royce Da 5'9, sold 16,000 copies of his fifth solo album,Success Is Certain, which features cameos from Eminem, Joe Budden and Travis Barker.

See what car expert Myles Kovacs estimates the Maybach's work cost.

You already know where Throne came in on the iTunes album charts, but just behind the #1 digital album was Bryan, Adele, NOW, Foster the People, singer/songwriter Mat Kearney's Young Love, Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More, the resurgent Hands All Over from Maroon 5, Church, and the Eminem and Royce collabo album Hell: The Sequel.

In an unexpected coup, Maroon 5's collaboration with Christina Aguilera, "Moves Like Jagger," shoots to #1 on the iTunes singles chart, while the summer's #1 jam, "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, drops to #5. It was a good week for Foster's breakthrough hit, "Pumped Up Kicks," which soars up to #2, followed by Drake's "Headlines," Bad Meets Evil's "Lighters," Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" at #6, then Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," Hot Chelle Rae's "Tonight Tonight," Lil Wayne's "How to Love" and Britney Spears' "I Wanna Go."

Next week will be the longevity test for Throne, which will have a full seven days of sales to work from and very little competition from new releases.

At 17 years old, Bow Wow bought himself his first car — a Maserati — but that doesn't mean he was able to drive it. On the season premiere of "When I Was 17" this Saturday at 11 a.m. ET, the hip-hop star recalls how his initial attempt at taking the driver's license exam didn't exactly go as planned.

"When I was 17, it was time for me to step it up and walk in the DMV and go ahead and get my license," Bow Wow says. "Walked in, sat at the computer, doing the test, doing the test. They start asking the feet: 'How far do you have to stand behind the car?' Now, this is killing my brain right now. The next thing you know, the computer tells me [to] go see the lady at the desk, and I'm thinking, 'All right. I passed.' "

Not quite. While Bow Wow, who at 17 already had a successful career with a couple of albums under his belt, felt confident he'd aced the exam, the results showed otherwise.

"Went up there, was as arrogant as possible, like, 'I'm ready. Where do I go take my picture at?' " he explains. "And the lady said, 'No. You failed.' I was like, 'What?' "

Bow Wow may have been surprised, but his mother was not. "I told him, 'Bow, you have to study this driver's book,' " his mother, Teresa, recalls.

Of course, her son didn't take the advice.

"I was really hurt because that's every 17-year-old's dream is to get their license," Bow Wow says.

He didn't give up, though. Bow Wow, who ended up purchasing the Maserati anyway after failing the test, tried again — and again. Find out how he finally managed to get behind the wheel on the season premiere of "When I Was 17."

Katy Perry Ties Michael Jackson Singles Record

'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' marks Perry's fifth #1 single from Teenage Dream, equal only to MJ's Bad achievement.
By Jocelyn Vena

Back in June, Katy Perry was closing in on Michael Jackson's record for the most #1 singles from the same album — and now she's tied it up. Thanks to the feel-good party jam "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," Perry has the same number of #1 singles from Teenage Dream on the Hot 100 as the late King of Pop did from 1987's Bad.

Now, Perry is both the only woman with five #1 singles from the same album and also the only living artist with that record. So what singles got her there aside from "Last Friday Night"? Perry's previous #1's from Teenage Dream are "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework" and "E.T." Jackson achieved this feat back in 1987 and 1988 with "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana" from his Bad album.

"What a way to wake up! SO proud to announce that the little-engine-that-could of a song 'LAST FRIDAY NIGHT' is officially #1 & made HISTORY!" the singer tweeted Wednesday (August 17). "&u know, I couldn't have done it with out ya, really I owe u guys BIG... so take this moment to give yourself a high FIVE!!! #allbecauseofu."

Explore our "Katy Perry: By The Numbers" infographic:

Perry broke another singles record earlier this month, having the first album from the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart to have five #1 singles. Perry's Teenage Dream album is the first in the nearly 19-year history of the chart to accomplish that feat.

"Last Friday Night" has proven to be another successful track for the star, and the party anthem recently got an assist from Missy Elliott on the remix.

Perry's Teenage Dream videos have also been cultural smashes. For the 2011 Video Music Awards, Perry racked up the most nominations with nine, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video for "Firework"; Best Pop Video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"; and Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing and Best Special Effects for the Floria Sigismondi-directed "E.T.," which features fellow nominee Kanye West. Her dreamy "Teenage Dream" clip even nabbed a nomination for Best Cinematography.

After multiple leaks, delays, seeming frustration and endless anticipation, Kelly Clarkson's fifth album finally has a release date.

Stronger is slated to drop October 25, preceded by the single "Mr. Know It All." Clarkson will host a live webcast with fans August 30 on her website, during which she will debut the song. The single will then hit radio directly after the webcast and be available for sale at all major digital-music stores September 5, according to an announcement from Clarkson's label.

Fans who just can't wait can pre-order the album from Clarkson's site and then automatically get the single as soon as it's available. Clarkson posted a note to her fans Tuesday explaining the decision to combine her two websites into one and expressing excitement about finally unleashing the songs.

"Can't wait for y'all to hear the new single!" she wrote. "The band and I are really excited and currently gearing up for this record! It's gonna be a fun record to tour!"

The original "American Idol" winner has been patiently anticipating a release date for the disc, telling fans last month that the long wait would soon be over. "Just found out my single is hitting radio in August!" she tweeted. "Woohoo! It sounds great as well! Can't wait for y'all to hear it!" But just an hour later, Clarkson apologized for getting a bit too excited. "Okay please do not get angry but it might be September for my single," she wrote. "My calendar was messed up! I'm so sorry! BUT it might be late August! It's a huge bummer waiting but I promise it'll be worth it! Stupid technology!!"

The album, originally teased as a late 2010 release, was pushed back to early 2011, with Clarkson filling the gap in February by talking up her influences, such as Prince, Tina Turner, Radiohead, Sheryl Crow and Aretha Franklin, and hitting the studio with producer Rodney Jerkins. In early February, she announced, with a bit of consternation, that the then-untitled album was finished but had been pushed back until September.

Then, last month, three songs that are reportedly slated for the album leaked, just a week after another new tune, the rocking "Let Me Down," surfaced online. The new songs, which were quickly scrubbed from the Internet, also included the ballad "Forgive You" and the pop-rocker "Dumb + Dumb = You."

'Big Lebowski' Pulls Reunion Together In New York City

'They're so deeply into that movie, which is so wonderful,' Jeff Bridges says of 'Lebowski' fans.

NEW YORK — The rug really did tie the room together. And the Dude was pleased.

We were outside the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for the cast reunion of "The Big Lebowski" on Tuesday — partly in celebration of the film's Blu-ray release, partly because 13 years after its theatrical debut, fans still can't get enough of Jeff Bridges' cult comedy — and the ground was adorned, in lieu of the standard red carpeting, with a fancy runner calling to mind the peed-upon Persian rug that sets the film's entire plot in motion. Between that carpet, the opportunity once again to hang out with his old castmates and the sight of so many fans dressed up like their favorite characters, Bridges was having a grand old time.

"They're so deeply into that movie, which is so wonderful," he told MTV News of those fans. "I don't have any fans quite as strong as the 'Lebowski' fans."

His co-stars, it turned out, are pretty big supporters themselves. "He worked so hard on this, and you could never know it by looking at the film," John Goodman said about Bridges. "He made it look effortless. People ask me all the time if we improvised anything. That's just how he made it look — very graceful."

Julianne Moore's experience on "Lebowski," at least physically, was far from graceful, but she credits Bridges with helping her through the shoot. "I was pregnant, so I was sick most of the time," she recalled. "I remember how patient Jeff was and how funny and how artistic he is, all the pictures he took. He was always playing guitar in his trailer. He was an amazing guy."

Moore's pregnancy wasn't the only one that factored into "Lebowski." As fans of the film will recall, Moore's character, the intensely odd Maude, sneakily beds the Dude in order to make him the father of her child. And while all that talk of a sequel will likely never come to fruition — the cast, as if of one mind, dismissed the idea of future "Lebowski" films — Bridges and Moore have some ideas about what has happened to the child since the conclusion of the original movie.

Moore thinks the kid wound up in boarding school. But Bridges has a different notion, based on another film from his past. "Ooh, I just had a flash!" he laughed. "Maybe he hooks up with the Starman's child. Ooooh, huh? And they get together in sort of a Butch Cassidy/Sundance Kid thing, man!"

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes ... Wiz Khalifa pushing a black and yellow baby carriage? It may sound like a fairy tale, but Khalifa's girlfriend Amber Rose told hip-pop site GlobalGrind that she was planning to get married and have kids with the rising rap star.

"We're definitely going to get married and have babies," Rose said. "Not right now because we're still busy and we still want to enjoy each other first. We want to go on vacation, travel and just enjoy each other's company, but he's definitely the one. We're definitely going to lay it down and get it done."

Rose — who has been a tabloid fixture since dating Kanye West — told the site that her biological clock is ticking. "I want to be a mom really bad. I really want babies," she said. "I'll be 28 in October and my maternal instinct is ready."

The model, who went public with her relationship with the Rolling Papers MC earlier this year, said the general perception of her is all wrong and that she would rather not be in the limelight. "I'm really shy; I like to stay away from all that, like, celebrity stuff. I don't go to clubs, I don't go to Hollywood parties, I don't drink like that. I'm a homebody, and I love to cook."

MTV News reached out to Wiz's publicist to get the Taylor Gang general's thoughts on Amber's comments but hadn't heard back as of press time.

The couple appeared on "RapFix Live" in March, when Khalifa talked about his public romance. "I'm just me. That's what it is," Wiz told MTV News about taking his feelings for Rose public. "I'm completely comfortable about everything in my life. That's what my career has been built off. Everybody gets that right away, so you don't have to find anything about me. I'm not gonna hide it; I'm gonna embrace it and give people in the same situation something to look up to."

'Hunger Games' Soundtrack: Jennifer Lawrence's Vocals Confirmed

'It was beautiful. She did great. She's singing great,' film's music composer T-Bone Burnett says.

We've seen snippets of the cinematic world of Panem — Jennifer Lawrence as blood-spattered, arrow-wielding Katniss crouching in the woods, Josh Hutcherson as her battle-worn fellow combatant Peeta lying in a clearing. What we haven't yet checked out from "Hunger Games" — and why would we, with no trailer yet released and the film not hitting theaters until March 2012? — is anything to do with the score, an all-star collaboration between T-Bone Burnett and Danny Elfman.

But that musical omission will be changing soon, as Burnett not only told MTV News that filmmakers will be releasing "Hunger Games" tuneage soon, but that one track will feature Lawrence herself.

"Yeah, we did," Burnett said when we asked if Lawrence had recorded anything in the studio. "And it was beautiful. She did great. She's singing great. Killer actor too."

Burnett's confirmation follows a blog post in June from the website of Echo Mountain Recording Studio in North Carolina, detailing Burnett's in-studio work with Lawrence. The post has since been deleted and Lawrence's musical contribution has not been confirmed. After our chat with Burnett on Tuesday at the "Big Lebowski" reunion in New York, though (spoiler alert), we know the 21-year-old actress in fact recorded "Rue's Lullaby," a song Katniss sings after Rue, a young tribute in the Games, is mortally wounded.

"Yeah, we did that. We recorded that," Burnett said about "Rue's Lullaby." "And it'll be coming out soon."

While Burnett and Elfman are ready to release Lawrence's recording, the two Grammy winners are only just getting started on their "Hunger Games" work. What they have planned has blown Burnett away. "It's 300 years in the future, so we can take all sorts of liberties," Burnett said of the story. "[Elfman's] got an incredible space he's put together. It's the most incredible studio I've ever seen and he's got drums and marimbas and a cimbalom — just crazy instruments everywhere. We're just going to go over there and rock out. I think we're just going to play together. We're going to do it together."

Check out everything we've got on "The Hunger Games."

Beyoncé played her second of four nights at New York's Roseland Ballroom on Tuesday night, presenting an ear-popping event that served as a cabaret act featuring a ferocious mix of old favorites and new tracks from her album 4.

Billed as an intimate night with the superstar, the show feautured B in a sparkly silver dress, backed by a full-on orchestra and several backup dancers. No costume changes, no elaborate set changes. The real star was B's never-miss-a-note voice and her razzle-dazzle dance moves.

During the first part of the night, Beyoncé gave fans some of the inside stories behind her biggest hits, ranging from her early beginnings with Destiny's Child to her breakout moments as a solo artist. Her swagger never faltered and was evident when she spouted lines like "On April 4, 2008, somebody put a ring on it," before launching into her hit "Single Ladies." Before that revealing moment, Beyoncé sang bits and pieces of her biggest hits like "Bootylicious," "Survivor," "Bills, Bills, Bills," and "Crazy in Love." No stone was left unturned.

The night, however, was really all about 4. She ran through the entire album, displaying her panache for old-school performing the likes of Tina Turner or Diana Ross. During ballads like "1+1," "I Care" and the show-closing "End of Time," Queen B's vocal abilities outshined it all.

It was her ability to throw a party during faster jams like "Party," "Countdown," "End of Time" and "Run the World (Girls)" that put on full display her range as a performer, dancing and singing live the entire night. Her fans sang along to every word and their energy for the material was only matched by Beyoncé's enthusiasm for live performance.

Justin Bieber had a very good year. Seriously, like a major one that rivals most corporate CEOs'. According to a People magazine ranking of the top-earning teen actors and musicians, Bieber, 17, raked in $53 million in 2010.

Most of that cash came from his smash movie, "Never Say Never," and his hit fragrance, "Someday." (By contrast, girlfriend Selena Gomez made $5.5 million.) Bieber reached that big-baller level thanks to the record-breaking returns from "Never," which is the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, with more than $73 million earned to date.

Nipping at his heels was veteran teen starlet Miley Cyrus, whose haul was $48 million, almost all of it earned from touring.

Other big earners on the list include "Twilight" top wolf Taylor Lautner, who earned $8.5 million for the final two installments of the movie series, as well as $7.5 million for his upcoming starring debut in the action thriller "Abduction."

Nick Jonas had a very good year as well, with totals around $12.5 million, while "Two and a Half Men" star Angus T. Jones banked $7.8 million, thanks to a $300,000 per episode payday.

Jaden and Willow Smith made the list, with Jaden earning $5 million last year, $3 million of it from his starring role in "The Karate Kid," while sister Willow's music career rang up $4 million.

Acting sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning also did pretty well, with Dakota, 17, getting $4 million for "Breaking Dawn" and Elle, 13, taking home $1.5 million for "Super 8."
