Robert Pattinson On Playing Dads, Surviving Red Carpets

Robert Pattinson has baby fever: His characters in two of his upcoming projects are dads. The star laughed about playing a pop in both "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" and "Water for Elephants."

"I was just doing some additional stuff for 'Water for Elephants,' and there were loads of kids ... I've always got a baby," he joked to MTV News on the red carpet Sunday night at the 2011 Golden Globes.

Sure, playing a dad may make him a little nervous, but does going to big, splashy awards shows still make the red-carpet-shy actor a bit jittery?

"I think I'm just going more and more deaf," about the pre-show commotion. "And it's becoming more and more difficult to concentrate. I do entire interviews where they go, 'You've got one minute!' And I go, 'Huh? Huh?' "

During Pattinson's chat with MTV News, he also talked about the just-released still from "Breaking Dawn" featuring Edward and Bella naked in bed together.

"I love how they release that for the first one. They just give it all away," he said about the photo.

Pattinson laughed about what was running through his mind while shooting that scene, and told us the sex scenes with Stewart were no more awkward than with other actresses, such as his "Bel Ami" co-star Uma Thurman.

"It's always awkward, in a way, doing it with anybody," he admitted. "But at the same time ... it really depends on how it's staged and stuff. It's like doing Twister."

'Skins' Premiere: Cast Tells Us What To Expect

Pilot episode airs Monday night (January 17) at 10 p.m. on MTV.

On Monday night (January 17), the American version of "Skins" kicks off. And with expectations high, since so many viewers stateside love the U.K. version of the sexy teen soap, the cast admits the pilot, which is basically a shot-for-shot remake of the original's pilot, is really just a great tease for what's to come.

"For people who haven't seen the U.K. version, it's an introduction," said James Newman, who plays "Skins" smooth-talker Tony.

Britne Oldford, who plays Cadie on the show, explained: "The pilot is essentially ... a parallel to the original version's first episode.

There are two episodes that are parallels, and then everything else is original, so it's really ... an introduction to all the characters, and hopefully after that, everyone will keep watching."

There's plenty to watch for as complex characters deal with complex issues including substance abuse, divorce and jealousy, to name a few, but none of it is glamorized. In between the glossy party scenes, the characters deal with intense emotions and consequences.

"I think the pilot is really an introduction to the characters, the whole rich people thing, the losing your virginity thing. All those storylines are kind of just this way of getting to know all of us," said Sofia Black D'Elia, who plays Tea.

"I'm actually more excited for audiences to see what happens afterward," she continued. "It's such an intro that you don't really get a sense of what our show has become at this point now. At 10 episodes later, it's so much different."

Don't miss the premiere of "Skins" on Monday (January 17) at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

Harlem, stand up! The Diplomats are reunited and the Uptown collective — Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey — are set to bring their revived outfit to 1515 where they'll be our guests on "RapFix Live." Dipset will kick off the second season of MTV News' hip-hop live stream show on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com.

After an internal spat caused disruption among the charismatic crew, they slowly began repairing the damaged relationships. In February 2009, Cam'ron told MTV News that he and Jones had spoken for the first time in years. From that point on, the two childhood friends inched closer to a reconciliation that eventually resulted in their comeback concert this past November.

"It's a good feeling," Jones explained to MTV News about the crew's new mindset. "Everybody just comes to the table with their best. It's brotherly competition so it only makes it better. Above all, we came back together for the brotherhood. We grew up together, so there was a love that was lost there. We regained that and it's time for music."

The Dipset members will sit down with Sway to discuss the status of their comeback, from their forthcoming mixtape to their rumored deal with Interscope Records.

"Shout-outs to Dre, that was the most incredible experience in my career," Jones said shortly after a flick of Dipset working with the West Coast producer appeared online. "Dr. Dre came to our studio, which was even more incredible. That was dope. We got to do a few songs with him. He coached me a bit."

Fans can ask them anything they wish, by tweeting to @MTVRapFix with the hashtag #rapfixlive.

Martin Luther King's Legacy Recalled By DJ Khaled, Bun B, Saigon

'We should take every day and praise what King did for us,' Khaled says of civil-rights fighter.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s tireless crusade for civil rights is synonymous with the social upheaval and progressive change of the 1960s. He's since become a global icon and figurehead of a revolutionary movement, and even though he is no longer with us, his game-changing legacy is still strongly felt — especially in the hip-hop community.

In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, MTV News reached out to a few rap names who reflected on Dr. King's lasting impact on today's stars, both personally and professionally.

"Martin Luther King is definitely one of my heroes," Brooklyn MC Saigon said. "He was a black leader and he took the road and responsibility to step up and do what a lot of us other men didn't have the courage to do. It took a lot of courage to do what he did at a time when racism was very relevant. As he did lose his life, he knew there was a good chance he would lose his life taking the stand he took. He epitomizes standing for something — he's the epitome of that."

Saigon, who name-drops MLK in his recently released single "Clap," added that Dr. King's efforts continue to inspire him as a rapper and, as he maintained, a de facto role model for today's youth due to his public profile as a hip-hop artist.

"That record is just an uplifting record. It's trying to carry on what he left off, because he died untimely but he left enough for us to carry the torch," he explained. "I think that's what a lot of those leaders did. Rappers are the new leaders, so I think we should come in that same vein and still be about the growth and the development of our people and our community."

UGK O.G. Bun B noted that he may feel closer to Dr. King's struggle since he's "probably a couple years older than the average MC." He maintained that much of America's race-relations progress is intrinsically linked to the late leader's fight.

"I remember in my generation and the generation before me, the dream being that one day, being a black man, that no doors would be closed to you in this country and in this world. I've been around long enough to see that almost every door in this world has actually opened up, all the way up to the most powerful man in the world, the President of the United States," he said of the country's first African-American commander in chief, Barack Obama. "There are many achievements that Martin Luther King really would be very happy to see ... but at the same time I still think we have ground to cover in this country."

Bun added that Dr. King's work has also helped to foster an inclusive society, which prompts MCs to create music that anyone can relate to.

"We do shows nowadays in not just the inner-city community but in every community, and we see people of every color and all walks of life at our concerts now. That's due to the fact that we try to make music that invites everybody to be a part of the movement," he explained. "You don't have to be black to be 'trill.' "

Miami's DJ Khaled also said that he strives to reflect the harmonious spirit Dr. King's work engendered — especially in his star-studded posse cuts that can corral everyone from Usher to Plies on one track.

"I celebrate [MLK Day] by giving respect and just reminding people [about] the word 'peace' and the word 'love' and unity 'cause, you know, that's what I represent," he said. "I love bringing people together with my records. That's why you get sometimes these collaborations that you've never seen before come together on a Khaled record 'cause they just got ultimate respect for what I do. Martin Luther King is a person that I respect, that we respect, everybody respects."

Khaled added that upholding Dr. King's legacy shouldn't be a one-day event, but rather an effort that people should incorporate into their everyday lives.

"I think we should take every day and praise and look at what Martin Luther King did for us, for us to be on this Skype right now and kick it, multicultures and just vibe," he said. "It's beautiful, so shout-out to MLK, everybody that support Martin Luther King, and R.I.P. to Martin Luther King and respect to Martin Luther King."

Golden Globe Awards Belong To 'The Social Network' And 'Glee'

'The Kids Are All Right,' 'The Fighter,' 'Boardwalk Empire' also garner multiple awards.

When the final glasses of champagne had been drained at the 68th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night (January 16), "The Social Network" and "Glee" sauntered away as the night's big winners. Nominated in six categories, "Social Network" won four awards, including Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director for David Fincher, Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin and Original Score. And honored in five separate categories, Fox's hit musical comedy collected three trophies: Best Comedy Series, Supporting Actor (Chris Colfer) and Actress (Jane Lynch).

Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical went to "The Kids Are All Right," one of two awards the film won. In the major TV categories, freshman HBO series "Boardwalk Empire" won Best Drama, while the "Glee" win marked the show's second-straight Best Comedy award.

To begin the evening, host Ricky Gervais had a beer waiting for him on the podium and took a slug from the sudsy glass before he even opened his mouth. It was just that kind of party. "It's going to be a night of partying and heavy drinking. Or, as Charlie Sheen calls it, breakfast," he joked, setting the tone for a raunchy and fearless emcee performance from start to finish.

Long an Oscar front-runner, Natalie Portman won Best Actress - Drama for "Black Swan" and delivered one of the show's most memorable acceptance speeches. Sporting a noticeable baby bump, she addressed fiancé and co-star Benjamin Millepied, thanking him for helping her create new life and referencing his line in the movie about not wanting to have sex with her character. "It's not true," she laughed. "He totally wants to sleep with me!"

Another Oscar fave, Colin Firth was honored as best dramatic actor for "The King's Speech." Calling himself out for thus far avoiding a midlife crisis, the 50-year-old actor cradled his award and joked, "This is all that stands between me and a Harley-Davidson."

Check out photos of the Golden Globe winners.

In one of the night's few upsets, Johnny Depp lost out on the best comedic actor award for his turn in "Alice in Wonderland," as Paul Giamatti ("Barney's Version") triumphed in that category. Generally, though, the Globes affirmed more awards-season conventional wisdom than it did recalibrate sentiment surrounding next month's Oscar ceremony.

Early on, Christian Bale took home the first Globe of the night, nabbing Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for "The Fighter," a win that had been widely predicted. "You can only give a loud performance like the one I gave when you have a quiet anchor," he said, complimenting Mark Wahlberg's contribution to the film.

Widely predicted, as well, was Annette Bening's best comedic win for "The Kids Are All Right." Fighting off a shaky voice, she spoke movingly about bringing a warts-and-all portrait of a lesbian couple to the big screen. Later in the show, Melissa Leo bounded up onto the stage after nabbing best dramatic supporting actress for "The Fighter." "Look, Mom, I got a Golden Globe!" she squealed.

When it came to perhaps the show's two most anticipated presenters — Justin Bieber and Robert Pattinson — neither man was given much to do onstage. Taking a break from shooting "Breaking Dawn," RPattz uttered just a handful of words while presenting the award for Best Foreign Language Film. And if anyone was hoping to hear Bieber crack a joke or two before introducing the award for Best Animated Feature, his fans were left disappointed. Alongside "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld, the teen heartthrob simply introduced the nominees and announced the winner, "Toy Story 3," with a smile. Accepting the statue was director Lee Unkrich, who turned to the presenters and asked, "Were you two even born when the first 'Toy Story' came out?" (For the record, Bieber was born a year before the film's 1995 release.)

Many of the TV categories were dominated by a large slate of first-time winners and newcomers to the small screen. In addition to the "Boardwalk Empire" win, Katey Sagal ("Sons Of Anarchy") won best dramatic actress and Steve Buscemi ("Boardwalk Empire") took home best dramatic actor, while Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") won best comedic actor and Laura Linney ("The Big C") won best comedic actress (though she was not in-house to accept, as her father, the playwright Romulus Linney, passed away over the weekend).

Robert De Niro was this year's Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award honoree. Taking the stage after a hilarious introduction from Matt Damon, De Niro delivered an amusing, self-deprecating speech, touting some of his achievements and laughing about others, like this year's "Little Fockers," that will not be as fondly remembered. Those less-lauded flicks, he joked, have been collected in a box set, which he promised to sell in the lobby after the show.

Ryan Gosling Had 'No Nerves' Going Into The Golden Globes

'We were in no danger of winning,' the 'Blue Valentine' star tells MTV News of his Best Actor in a Drama loss.

The last few interactions MTV News has had with Ryan Gosling have been interesting, to say the least.

Going back to January 2010, when we first had the opportunity to sit down with him and "Blue Valentine" co-star Michelle Williams, what should have been a serious conversation about a serious movie ended up introducing us to a new term: "cranking." "It's when you cry while you masturbate," Gosling explained at the time.

Now, ever since that fateful interview, it's become a running joke, and we bring it up every time we encounter the Golden Globe-nominated actor.

Case in point, the Weinstein Golden Globes afterparty, where we asked Gosling if he would be dealing with his loss in the Best Actor category to "King's Speech" star Colin Firth by cranking. Gosling scoffed at that suggestion and insisted he has never cranked.

"I never did crank," he said. "I know you think that I did, but I didn't."

Fair enough, Ryan. So in all seriousness, how did he handle the pressure of being nominated and then not winning?

"We were in no danger of winning," Gosling said. "So there were no nerves, no speeches to plan. Just [going] to have a nice night. I had a nice time — did you?" Gosling asked of "Valentine" writer/director Derek Cianfrance.

"I had a very nice night, yes," Cianfrance responded. "There was nice cucumber sandwiches on white bread. Little rectangles, finger sandwiches, I think. That was a good time."

"There was a menu," Gosling added. "But no evidence of what was on that menu ever appeared."

Natalie Portman wants to get one thing straight when it comes to her choreographer fiancé: He's actually a really good actor.

The "Black Swan" starlet scored Best Actress in a Drama at the Golden Globes on Sunday night (January 16), and when she took the stage, she not only thanked her soon-to-be hubby Benjamin Millepied — whom she met on the set of "Swan — but she pointed out that in addition to his top-notch ballet skills, he's got some acting ability as well.

"Thank you to Benjamin, who is helping me continue this creation of creating more life," the pregnant star said of Millepied after she thanked her parents for raising her."Benjamin choreographed the film, and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask, 'Would you sleep with that girl?' And he's like, 'Pffsh, no.' He's the best actor. It's not true: He totally wants to sleep with me!" she laughed heartily.

Portman snuck in some more humor when she thanked her "Swan" co-star Mila "Sweet Lips" Kunis, but she also gave a heartfelt shout-out to director Darren Aronofsky, with whom she had been plotting the now-award-winning project for a decade.

"Darren, I met you 10 years ago, and we talked about this for the first time, and thank you for continuing to work on this movie and then to give me such a beautiful, beautiful gift with this role," she said. "Every time we finished our takes, you would say, 'Now do this one for yourself,' and that gave me such beautiful inspiration as an actor to not just be amused, that I could create on my own as well. I love you so much and you're the most wonderful and I'm so grateful to you."

Sunday's win is the second trophy Portman has picked up in three days. The starlet also nabbed Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Awards on Friday.

'Glee' Wins Big At Golden Globes

Musical show takes home Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical, plus two acting awards.

For the second year in a row, "Glee" has had something to sing about at the Golden Globes. Fox's pop-culture smash has emerged victorious yet again in the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical category. In addition to besting the hit shows "Modern Family," "Nurse Jackie," "The Big C," "The Big Bang Theory" and "30 Rock," two of the show's stars have taken home their first Golden Globe Awards.

While the show did not sweep — both Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison lost in their categories — it did win more awards than any other television show at the 68th annual Golden Globes.

Stunned first-time nominee Chris Colfer kicked things off for "Glee" with his heartfelt speech, which he dedicated to his "fairy godfather Ryan Murphy" and to teens who, much like his character Kurt, are bullied. "The amazing kids that watch our show and that our show celebrates and are constantly told no [by] people and environments and bullies at school, that they can't be who they are or can't have what they want because of who they are," he said, concluding his acceptance speech with, "Screw that, kids."

Next up was Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television winner Jane Lynch. The actress, who has now won a Golden Globe, Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award for her work on the show, had lost to "Big Love" actress Chloë Sevigny in 2010 in the same category.

In her acceptance speech, the comically trained star joked that she was "falsely humble" and went on to thank one of the show's writers, Ian Brennan, who created everyone's favorite tracksuit-wearing villain, Sue Sylvester. Jane lovingly referred to Brennan as a "deranged young man" and assured that part of the award was his, but quipped, "I'll be holding on to it."

Lynch also gave credit to the excited young fans of "Glee" and dryly promised that whenever she wasn't busy or eating, she'd give them a moment of her time, garnering a huge laugh from the crowd. She wrapped up by thanking her family, her agent, and her wife Laura and their two children.

Colfer and Lynch would return to the stage once again, alongside the rest of their cast and the creative team behind "Glee," for the show's final win of the evening, Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical. Creator Ryan Murphy took the mic to thank the various people behind the show. Ian Brennan had another moment in the spotlight as he thanked public school teachers for "doing the most important work in America."

Michael Douglas took the stage on Sunday night (January 16) to present the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Drama. Looking healthy and happy as wife Catherina Zeta-Jones looked on from the audience, the Golden Globe nominee made light of his recent battle with throat cancer.

"There's got to be an easier way to get a standing ovation," Douglas joked about his warm reception. "Thank you all very much. I'm really very, very happy to be here tonight," he added.

Douglas went on to announce the winner in the category, David Fincher's Facebook tale "The Social Network," which took the prize over "Black Swan," "The King's Speech," "Inception" and "The Fighter."

Earlier in the night, Douglas lost for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture to Christian Bale ("The Fighter"). He was nominated for reprising his role as Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps." But in spite of the loss, it was a triumphant return for the Hollywood A-lister who recently underwent cancer treatment and just this past week announced on the "Today" show that he's now cancer-free.

"I think the odds are with the tumor gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer, that I've got it beat," Douglas told host Matt Lauer, about six months after he first publicly revealed he had the disease.

"I have to check out on a monthly basis now to maintain. I guess there's not a total euphoria. I'll probably take a couple of months of getting checked out. But it's been a wild six-month ride."

Justin Bieber's 'Baby' Coming To 'Glee,' Amber Riley Says

'Glee' actress tells MTV News to also expect 'Somebody to Love.'
By Mawuse Ziegbe

We already knew Justin Bieber's music will turn up on an upcoming episode of "Glee," but we weren't sure which smash the McKinley High crew would be remaking — until now.

"Glee" star Amber Riley confirmed to MTV News on Sunday (January 16) that not just one, but two Bieber jams will be made over by the cast of the hit song-and-dance show, including the Ludacris-assisted chart-topper "Baby," which was dubbed the most viewed music video on YouTube in 2010.

"There's gonna be two Bieber songs, and I think 'Baby' is one. I think that's correct," Riley disclosed on the Golden Globes red carpet.

According to Riley, the Gleeks are also set to rock another Bieber-helmed dance-floor filler: "Somebody to Love." "I think ... those are the two songs," she revealed.

"Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy also recently dished that part of Bieber's pop&B repertoire would make it into the show. In a very apt use of the pop star's teen-hysteria-inducing hits, Murphy said the Biebs' music would be the backdrop for a scene in which one of the fellas tries to win over one of the "Glee" ladies.

"Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam [Chord Overstreet] sings a J.B. song to win Quinn's [Dianna Agron] approval," Murphy said recently.

In addition to Bieber, Lady Gaga is slated to get the "Glee" treatment once again, this time for a track that hasn't even dropped. Murphy said Mother Monster's forthcoming "Born This Way" single will serve as the inspiration for an episode about school bully Karofsky (played by Max Adler), who the show has hinted is gay.

"I love that that song is [an] anthem," Murphy said. "This show is by nature optimistic, and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending.

"So I don't really know what that's going to be," he continued. "But I do know we're going to do a whole episode that's about that song."

Golden Globes Fashion: Justin Bieber, Natalie Portman Go Ultra Glam

Sleeves, sequins and hot guys rule Globes red carpet.

If the Golden Globes are the Oscars' more casual sister, nobody told Hollywood: Celebs went ultra glam at the show on Sunday (January 16). Sure, all the guys looked dapper in their suits, but a slew of young Hollywood's newest studs really turned up the fashion charm.

Justin Bieber looked like the perfect prom date in his D&G tuxedo with tie, vest and kicks. He completed the look with purple 3-D glasses, and his date for the night was "Never Say Never" director Jon Chu. Looking equally posh was Robert Pattinson in his sleek black Gucci suit. Shout-outs to Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling, who looked perfectly dashing in their tuxes.

For photos of all the stars on the Golden Globe red carpet, click here.

The ladies rocked the sequins. "Tron" actress Olivia Wilde dazzled in her sparkly, hoop-skirted gown by Marchesa, but her bed-head was a bit too casual for the look. Anne Hathaway went for full-on beading in her floor-length taupe gown by Armani. Meanwhile, Megan Fox, also in Armani Privé, was super feminine in her pale-pink ruched gown with thigh-high split.

Proving that baby bumps make for a perfectly cool red-carpet accessory, Natalie Portman looked sophisticated in her pink satin gown with red-rose detailing on the bust by Viktor & Rolf. Her "Black Swan" co-star Mila Kunis also wore color, opting for a one-shoulder, emerald-green Vera Wang gown with bow detailing on the shoulder.

Budding fashionista Lea Michele rocked a pink, ruched and bowed one-shoulder dress by Oscar de la Renta. Nicole Kidman looked clean and fresh in her buttery one-shoulder column dress with bow around waist and beaded detailing.

Sleeves, both long and short, were also a big theme of the night. Angelina Jolie rocked them in her emerald-green (also a big trend) dress by Versace with a tuxedoed Brad Pitt by her side. Emma Stone wore a cap sleeve on her peach jersey dress by Calvin Klein collection, which was simple and sophisticated. Scarlett Johansson went for disco glamour in her pale-pink, cape-sleeve beaded gown.

Diddy Looking For Comedies After 'Get Him To The Greek'

While his turn as a hilariously foul-mouthed record executive in "Get Him to the Greek" didn't earn Diddy a Golden Globe nomination, there's no doubting that the multitalented star delivered one of the year's most satisfying — and surprising — scene-stealing comedic performances. Who knew the guy was so freaking funny?

Well, his co-stars certainly did. "We were saying Diddy's kind of the McLovin of 'Get Him to the Greek,' " Jonah Hill told MTV News before the film's release. "You don't know what he's going to do. Every time he breathes in the movie, it garners a huge laugh."

Hollywood comedy guru Judd Apatow, who produced the flick, said, "He was riotously funny. As a man with one skill, I was annoyed that he was also funny. You shouldn't be allowed to be good at so many things."

Hill and Apatow weren't kidding. And as it turned out, moviegoers weren't the only ones digging Diddy's comedic stylings: Diddy himself was a pretty big fan too. That's why he'll be looking to find his way into more laughers in the future.

"I've done a lot of drama mostly my whole career, with Broadway and 'Monster's Ball' and stuff like that — my short little career.

But when I did 'Get Him to the Greek,' I really fell in love with making people laugh," he told us on the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday (January 16). "I have a knack for improvisation, and hopefully I'll be able to make people laugh more."

After the geeky shock of seeing Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man for the first time wore off, savvy observers noticed a potentially huge clue hidden within the newly released first-look photo from Sony Pictures: Garfield's boy wonder seemed to be sporting metal discs on his wrists, suggesting that he employs a mechanical device to shoot webs, rather than organically emitting them from his body.

That would mean a sharp break from previous "Spider-Man" films — Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker shot webs directly from his wrists — but one that's still in keeping with established comics lore. Recent story lines have shown both a Spidey with web-shooters and a Spidey able to naturally shoot webs on his own. The new photo, while tantalizing, offered no firm proof either way.

But now "Spider-Man" star Emma Stone has stepped in and delivered the first definitive answer.

"It's a device," she said on the Golden Globes red carpet when MTV News asked about the discs on her co-star's wrists.

So given that the new big-screen Spider-Man will use a contraption to emit webs, moviegoers should look out for a story line involving Parker's invention of "webs" composed of a chemical he invents when the flick hits theaters in summer 2012. Although Stone dropped that tidbit, she was more tight-lipped about her own character, Gwen Stacy, and her evolution over the course of the film. "You're just going to have to wait and see," she said.

She has, however, been enjoying her newly blond locks, a look that returns Stone to her natural hair color. "It hasn't slapped me in the face. It's treating me all right," she laughed.

'Glee' Justin Bieber Episode Needs 'The Hairdo,' Darren Criss Says

On Golden Globes red carpet, actor also pleads for Gwyneth Paltrow's character to teach at his Dalton Academy.

It was a good night for "Glee" at the Golden Globes, to say the least. If Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch's wins (not to mention the show walking away with the award for Best Television Series- Comedy or Musical for the second straight year) weren't enough to satisfy fans, new addition Darren Criss had plenty of news to have them Gleeking out.

The actor — who made Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" even more popular than the original during his first season — talked about Justin Bieber and Gwyneth Paltrow with our very own Josh Horowitz.

The lively star, who donned a pair of hot-pink sunglasses, joked that he wanted to rock fellow Globes attendee and presenter Justin Bieber in his arms. In addition to finding out that the tween star was nearby, he also heard the news (thanks to co-star Amber Riley telling MTV News) that the "Glee" cast would be singing not one, but two Justin Bieber songs.

The star (who admitted he had previously heard word about the possibility of this happening) also said he wasn't sure if he would be one of the castmembers belting out the Biebs' hits. "If I do [sing them], I hope they tell me soon which one!" he said.

"It should be fun," Criss said about the upcoming covers, adding, "I just hope they do the hairdo!"

But Bieber's famed coif isn't the only thing he hopes to see in the second half of the season, which returns in February. While he and guest star Gwyneth Paltrow both starred in the episode "The Substitute," his character, Blaine, had no onscreen time with her Holly Holliday.

"I feel like I'm on my own spin-off: 'Dalton,' " Criss joked, referring to Dalton Academy, where his character attends school. "So I never get to meet or spend time with a lot of the guest stars."

While it's been reported that Paltrow's substitute teacher will return to teach sex education at McKinley High School and will start up a relationship with Matthew Morrison's Mr. Schuester, Criss had another story idea for the Oscar-winner.

"Maybe she could be a sub at Dalton! That would be awesome," he suggested before confessing, "I'm in love with Gwyneth. I would love to meet her."

Robert Pattinson Gets 'Hassled Too Much,' Garrett Hedlund Says

'He gets a lot of people following him around,' 'On the Road' star say of fellow heartthrob at the Golden Globes.

Garrett Hedlund has already scored some unforgettable memories on the set of his Beat Generation flick "On the Road," but getting heartthrob tips from co-star Kristen Stewart's rumored flame Robert Pattinson is not among them.

MTV News caught up with the "Country Strong" actor on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday (January 16), and while he admitted that they chopped it up when Pattinson popped by the "Road" set to visit his lady friend, he didn't score any gems on how to handle his budding screen-idol status.

"You're trying to milk me for great little things; I got nothing on it," Hedlund shrugged to MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "He'd come out to set a couple times and visit. It was great."

The "Tron Legacy" actor had fun hanging out with the world's most famous onscreen vampire, but added that he sympathized with all the attention Pattinson has to grapple with constantly.

"People just sort of hassle him around too much," he said. "He's a good guy, real good guy, and he gets a lot of people following him around. It's not an easy thing."

Aside from seeing the effects of "Twilight" mania up close, Hedlund recently dished that filming "Road" had some trippy moments, including the last night of production when the actor spent time with 89-year-old Carolyn Cassady, the real-life inspiration for the book's character Camille.

"She was just so wonderful and so genuine to all of us and so happy to be there. At the end of the dinner, me and Sam Riley ... walked her hand in hand up to Vesuvio's, the bar where all these guys used to drink at. I remember the sole of her shoe had sort of come undone and started flapping, but I took off my boot and took off one of the socks and put it over the shoe so it intacted the sole. So we kept on walking," he said. "It's such an incredible, mind-blowing night."

Robert Pattinson Laughs Off 'Breaking Dawn' Bed Photo

'They just give it all away,' 'Twilight' star says about honeymoon picture.

Twilighters went crazy when a still from the upcoming "Breaking Dawn" flick was released. What was all the hubbub about? The photo featured Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) in bed on their fictional honeymoon. So, how did Pattinson feel about it being one of the first official looks from the flick?

"I love how they release that for the first one," he told MTV News sarcastically Sunday (January 16) on the Golden Globes red carpet. "They just give it all away."

Well, giving it all away seemed to be the theme of the photo (since it appears to show the couple having sex), and fans were salivating over the idea of finally getting the chance to see Edward and Bella get down onscreen.

Also on Sunday night's red carpet, Pattinson's movie dad, Peter Facinelli, revealed some details about filming the big "Breaking Dawn" fight scene, leaking how much longer the cast will be onset with director Bill Condon: "We've been shooting the last two weeks with a lot of vampires," he said.

"I don't want to give away too much, but if you've read the books, it's the standoff with lots of vampires in play. There's like 70 people going through the works at once. It's a little maddening, but fun," Facinelli continued.

"We shot pretty much the ending of the two movies the other day," he added. "But we shoot until mid-April."

'Glee' Star Chris Colfer Dedicates Golden Globe To Bullied Kids

'Screw that, kids,' Colfer says to anyone who doesn't feel like they can be who they are.

When Chris Colfer took the stage at the Golden Globes on Sunday night to accept his prize for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, he had a major statement for anyone feeling like they don't fit in. But, first, he made sure to thank the people who helped bring him to his Golden Globes win.

"I think I just dropped my heart between Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore, so if anyone sees that, please give that back to me," he joked to the room, filled with Hollywood's biggest names, as well as his "Glee" co-star Lea Michele, who cried as he accepted his award. "I can't believe this. Thank you so much, Hollywood Foreign Press. I have to thank [show creator] Ryan Murphy for basically being my fairy godfather. Everybody at Fox, our amazing crew, who keep us sane and our very talented cast — you guys deserve this as much as I do."

Then Colfer, who plays Kurt on the hot Fox show, set to return with new episodes next month, had a message for bullied kids everywhere. "But mostly importantly [a thank you] to all the amazing kids that watch our show and that our show celebrates and are constantly told 'no' [by] people and environments and bullies at school, that they can't be who they are or can't have what they want because of who they are," he excitedly told the room, adding, "Screw that, kids."

This is the first Golden Globe for Colfer. He beat out Scott Caan, Chris Noth, Eric Stonestreet and David Strathairn, who were also nominated in the category.

Zac Efron Talks About Bulking Up For 'The Lucky One'

'I really wanted to put in the work,' he tells MTV News on the Golden Globes red carpet.

We're sure fans of Zac Efron won't mind seeing him all muscled up for his next film, "The Lucky One," based on the Nicholas Sparks book of the same name. Not only did Efron get buffed up for the role, but he also shaved off his signature locks to play a marine who, after three tours in Iraq, returns home to North Carolina to look for the unknown woman he believes was his good-luck charm while he was fighting in the war abroad.

"It was hard, man," Efron recalled about his training for the film when he spoke to MTV News on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday night (January 16). "I knew that the second I went to Camp Pendleton and met these real marines, I didn't have that presence."

So what kind of presence did Efron have to achieve in order to play Logan Thibault in the Scott Hicks-directed film, set for 2012 release? "They've got this way about them, but they're, like, 50 pounds heavier, so I started training immediately to do the best I could," he explained. " 'Cause it's a kind of sensitive part. I care too much about it to let it slide. I really wanted to put in the work."

The film follows in the more serious direction Efron has been taking in his roles as of late. Last year, he starred in "Charlie St. Cloud," but he will return to the world of romantic comedies when he stars in the ensemble rom-com "New Year's Eve" in December.
