She may still be releasing tracks off Teenage Dream thanks to her latest single, "The One That Got Away," but Katy Perry is already hard at work on some other super-special, top-secret musical project.

Producer Tricky Stewart, who worked with Perry on three Teenage Dream songs, is back at work with the California Gurl herself, prepping some music with the singer. "Katy and I went into [the studio] just to address some issues with records that we had done in the past that didn't end up going on Teenage Dream," he told MTV News. "So we are in the process of just listening and freshening up things and getting ready for something special she has going on."

What is it that she is readying? Well, Stewart doesn't exactly know, or maybe he just doesn't want to say. "I don't know what it is, but I know she has something going on because she wants to be in the studio," he said. "So that's good. ... I can tell you that Katy likes the studio again; that's always a good thing."

While he couldn't shed much light on the project itself, he did reveal the name of the song. "This song is really special. It's called 'Dressing Up,' so it's going to be a big record, I think," he said. "It definitely fits. It's right there in what her sensibilities are as a musician and a songwriter. She doesn't change much. She has a very keen musical taste. It'll be really good."

The music they are working on is using some leftovers from their Teenage Dream sessions. And they hope to finally put that magic out into the world. "We always knew that the records we created were special [and] at the time it was more contractual obligation [that they didn't make the record]," he explained, noting all the success the singer has experienced with the record, which includes five #1 songs. "I can only have so many songs produced by me on the record. She didn't need to have extra songs at the same time."

It was a surprise elimination on Tuesday night's "Dancing With the Stars."

In the end, it came down to MTV reality star Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas against soccer goalie Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Head judge Len Goodman said he was in disbelief, because he thought one of the couples would be fighting it out to be in the finals.

Cavallari was the one who got the boot. She and Ballas both appeared to be shocked when their names were called.

And it's no wonder. On Monday night, they scored a 24 out of 30 for their samba to Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love." The third round of performances challenged the celebrities to dance to a song of their choosing that reflects the most memorable year in their lives. Cavallari picked 2005 because it's the year she moved to L.A. and decided to pursue a career in entertainment.

"That was more than crazy in love; that was crazy in lust! Who can say no after that? It's yes, yes, yes, yes for me all the time!" judge Bruno Tonioli said after their dance.

After her elimination, Cavallari admitted she was "a little surprised, to be honest. But I've had such a great time and it's been an awesome experience."

Ballas extended his gratitude to the leggy blonde. "I just am really proud of Kristin. She has great potential, and she really killed it last night. I was honored to be her partner, and I really love you."

Were you surprised to see Kristin go? Let us know in the comments!

George Clooney's Directing Inspires Ryan Gosling

The next step on Ryan Gosling's climb to the top might take him behind the camera. In a recent interview with MTV News, Gosling talked about his aspirations to eventually direct, like his "Ides of March" co-star and director George Clooney.

"I'd like to do that," Gosling said. "That was one of the reasons I wanted to work with George, was to see how that's done."

Even though Gosling may look up to Clooney as an actor/director, he isn't ready to wear both hats simultaneously just yet. "I don't think I could handle it as well as he does. He's pretty incredible to watch," Gosling said of Clooney directing himself in "Ides." "He's like Keanu Reeves in 'The Matrix.' Any problem that comes to him, he's just dodging those bullets."

"The Ides of March" marks Clooney's fourth feature film as director and his first time working with Gosling. While Gosling hasn't directed yet, he does have some experience behind the scenes: He served as executive producer on last year's critical darling "Blue Valentine."

Gosling recently found a new collaborator in Danish filmmaker and "Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn. The duo are reuniting for Refn's next film, "Only God Forgives," and have two other films in development, including the much-delayed remake of "Logan's Run." Gosling's work with Refn developing the tone and screenplay for "Drive" was often talked about in the press and could hint at future directing gigs.

Adele 'Truly Devastated' To Cancel U.S. Tour

This year's chart-dominating diva Adele has once again been forced to cancel tour dates due to illness.

According to her record label, the "Someone Like You" singer suffered a hemorrhage in her vocal cord and she will now have to cancel her upcoming sold-out 10-city tour. The hemorrhage seems a more serious condition than the laryngitis she suffered when she was forced to cancel other dates earlier this year.

Adele expressed sadness in being forced to cancel the tour via an emotional post on her website:

"Singing is literally my life, it's my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever. I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this," she wrote. "Wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as I'm sure you know!

"My voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I'm gonna be starting up vocal rehab [soon] and start building my over all stamina in my voice, body and mind," she continued. "I will be back and I'm gonna smash the ball out the park once I'm touring again. I apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do. I know it's not only disappointing because of the show, but it's plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. But please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. Truly yours and yours only forever, Adele xx"

The British songbird has had a killer year, smashing music records left and right. She is the first female to land two singles and two albums in the U.K. top five simultaneously — which only the Beatles had achieved back in 1963. Her sophomore album, 21, is the first album in U.K. chart history to sell 3 million copies in one calendar year, and it has spent the most consecutive weeks at #1 ever by a solo female, 11, beating a record previously held by Madonna's The Immaculate Collection. Adele also logged the most cumulative weeks with a U.K. #1 for a solo female (18), beating out Alanis Morissette and Shania Twain, who shared the previous record at 11 weeks.

Since breaking through with 2010's K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, Big K.R.I.T. has been on rap's fast track. As an MC, he has worked alongside Bun B, Ludacris and David Banner, and last week, he landed his biggest production credit yet with T.I.

On "I'm Flexin'," Tip's first single since being released from Prison last week, the Meridian, Mississippi, producer gave the Grand Hustle CEO a rocked-tinged, Southern-fried banger.

"Tip got out and he reached out to my folks to see what we're trying to do, as far as Southern hip-hop is concerned," K.R.I.T. told MTV News on the black carpet for the taping of the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. "It's just a blessing. He reached out and wanted to work. I sent the record, he liked the record, he jumped on it, and it is what it is. I'm glad it came out in a timely fashion."

Though T.I. had been in a halfway house since September 15 and allowed to work in the studio, he officially satisfied his sentence on Thursday; "I'm Flexin' " was released the next day. "I just wanted to make something super jammin', something organic and vintage-sounding, as far as Southern hip-hop is concerned," Krizzle explained. "I felt like when he heard it, he knew exactly where I was trying to go with it. And he killed that sh--, so it worked out."

"The record is hot," DJ Drama, T.I.'s longtime collaborator, told MTV News about "I'm Flexin' " days before it was released. "Big K.R.I.T. deserves it. He's been working for a long time. So they're both fans of each other, so sh-- is definitely gonna be a nice sound for the ear."

K.R.I.T. also appears on a small portion of the song's chorus, but when asked if he would appear on the remix with a full verse, the MC/producer let out a mischievous laugh. "I got the beat," he said with a wide, boy-like grin. "So we'll see."

Justin Bieber's Christmas Album A 'Natural Progression'

Justin Bieber is set to drop his first Christmas single, "Mistletoe," on October 18. And while fans are pretty psyched to hear it, they also want to know the names of every person who made the final cut on the album, Under the Mistletoe.

Bieber confirmed that the Band Perry, Busta Rhymes, Boyz II Men and Usher are all contributing to the album, and teased that a huge surprise guest will also appear on the album. The rumor is that the big reveal will be Mariah Carey.

Bieber's producer Tricky Stewart said he has no idea who made the final cut. "I don't know who's featured on the records," he told MTV News. "The records, as I know the records ... Justin is the artist on the records. I know that he's planning on doing things, but I have no idea what they are."

As Bieber puts the finishing touches on the album, which drops November 1, any additional production falls on Stewart's production partner, Kuk Harrell, as Stewart moves on to other projects. "[I wouldn't have to go back into the studio] because that's Kuk Harrell's neck of the woods," Stewart said. "If something needs to be added, he'll go in and knock it out and it'll be fine."

Stewart noted that the album "seemed like a natural progression" for the teen star. "I think it just kind of made sense that I would be involved," he said, having worked with Bieber throughout his professional career. "I think Justin doing a Christmas album is right on time ... I feel that it's almost necessary that he do a great Christmas album and it's really, really good, too."

To get into the Christmas spirit months in advance of the holiday season, the team decorated their studio with all the appropriate Christmas accoutrements like Christmas trees and holiday scents. "Well, it's different in the sense that we've been having Christmas and it's not Christmas," he said. "It looks and feels like Christmas except when we come out there's no Christmas. You have to [imagine]. How else can you have Christmas in the middle of September?"

Simon Cowell: 'X Factor' Boot Camp Is 'Uncomfortable'

As if early episodes — and folks like Brian Bradley, 2Squar'd and that dude who ripped off Prince — haven't already proven the point, "X Factor" has been working overtime to prove that it's nothing like "American Idol."

And if for some reason you're still not seeing the differences, well, just wait until the "Factor" kicks off its Boot Camp on Wednesday night's show. Because, as judge Simon Cowell told MTV News, unlike the high-gloss "Idol" Hollywood Week, Boot Camp will be, well, real.

"I've seen them all and I've made a ton of them, [and] what I do know, because obviously I was there, [was] that I wanted to show the viewers what actually happened," he said. "So the first cut you get is the producer's cut, where everything's fantastic and I'm hilarious, whatever, whatever. But that was not the week I saw. Just show the process — the good, the bad, the terrible. Let the audience make their own mind up.

"I mean, it's quite uncomfortable," Cowell continued. "[And] I haven't seen the finished cut yet, but it's a lot, lot better, and you really do feel you know what it's like now to be a contestant on one of these shows and what we felt; we were under pressure as well."

Highlighting that pressure is the added emphasis on choreography, which really comes to the forefront during Boot Camp — for better or worse. But, as Cowell said, viewers will get to see it all, because that's what auditioning for a singing competition is really like.

"It wasn't a test. We didn't judge them on it. We just said that if you wanted to be a star today, you're going to have to be on a stage in front of lots of people, and sometimes you're going to have to learn how to dance," he said. "Certain people just flatly refused to do it, other people tried and failed miserably, and then other people we were kind of drawn to because we thought, 'You should try it ... we're looking at you.' "

Michael Jackson Doctor Called Girlfriend As MJ Died

Prosecutors in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, called one of the cardiologist's girlfriends to the stand Tuesday (October 4) in an attempt to nail down what Murray was doing as his famous client was dying of cardiac arrest.

Houston, Texas, steakhouse waitress Sade Anding told the jury that six minutes into a phone call with Murray on June 25, 2009, Murray suddenly disappeared as she was telling him about her day. "I realized he was no longer on the phone," she said of the call that took place less than a half-hour before Murray placed a frantic call to Jackson's assistant asking for help. At one point, she described hearing coughing, mumbling and other voices on Murray's end, as if his phone was in his pocket. The call was one of a half-dozen that phone records show Murray made during a crucial time when prosecutors say he should have been monitoring Jackson's vital signs closely.

Other testimony on Tuesday:

» Another woman, Michelle Bella, said she got a text message from Murray that morning, and an employee of the doctor said she exchanged eight minutes' worth of calls with him during the final hours of Jackson's life.

» Murray's current girlfriend and the mother of one of his seven children, Nicole Alvarez, 29, at first denied knowing that the doctor was pulling down $150,000 a month for treating Jackson. She said she met Jackson in 2008 and that she spent time with the pop star and Murray several more times after their son was born in 2009. Alvarez also testified that by June 2009, Murray was leaving their apartment at 9 p.m. almost every night and returning in the morning and that she signed for packages in April, May and June of 2009 but didn't know they contained the powerful anesthetic propofol. She told prosecutors that she planned to travel with Murray to England for Jackson's planned string of 50 This Is It shows.

» Alvarez said she spoke to Murray as the doctor rode in the ambulance to the hospital with Jackson's body, one of four calls the two exchanged on the afternoon of the singer's death.

» ABC News reported that none of the propofol bottles recovered from Jackson's room had the pop star's fingerprints on them, a detail that may deal a blow to the emerging defense theory that Jackson dosed himself with the surgical anesthetic while Murray was out of the room and caused his own death

» Pharmacist Tim Lopez told prosecutors he sent Murray 225 vials of propofol in total, as well as 20 vials of lorazepam and 60 of midazolam in April 2009, with some sent to a Santa Monica address that was likely the apartment the doctor shared with Alvarez.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. He faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical license.

Wiz Khalifa On Chevy Woods: 'It's His Time'

Don't Sleep: Necessary Notables

Headliner: Chevy Woods featuring Wiz Khalifa

Mixtape: The Cookout

Key Cameo: "Aunts N Uncles" featuring Wiz Khalifa

Real Spit: Chevy Woods has an unexplainable hunger, so on his The Cookout mixtape, Taylor Gang's next-up serves up healthy portions of well-prepared tracks. Though Chevy is flanked by Wiz Khalifa on the tape, the Taylor general makes it clear that he is focusing on pushing Woods out as the crew's next star.

"Now it's his time," Wiz told Mixtape Daily from the Black carpet for the taping of BET's October 11 Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. "I really want to introduce people to him, so I was like, I'm gonna fall back, do a little bit, but really let him get his shine on."

And shine he does. Wiz, who uses the alias Cap on The Cookout, does appear on eight of the tape's 11 tracks, but it's Chevy who steers his ship. For "Downfall," Chev sets the tone on the breezy, horn-laced track. From his opening bars it is clear that the street-bred Woods is quite different from Khalifa, who has made his bones off of fun-loving party anthems. "I used to spread the white for the bread like mayo/ All mine, nobody had a say-so," Chevy spits of his hustling past.

Woods has been floored by the tape's response since it was released at the end of September. "Overwhelming, it was crazy," he said. "Everybody was showing me love. I appreciate it; that's what I'm looking for."

On the Big Jerm-produced "Napkins," the Pittsburgh MC lays a melodic hook dedicated to smoking weed and driving with the top down. Then on "Aunts N Uncles" things get even more laid-back. Chevy sings an off-key hook that perfectly matches the beat's vibe. "I know I did some things that's wrong, but still you gotsta love me," he croons, before Wiz marches in to lay his bars.

This latest Chevy tape is much different from his harder-edged March 2011 release, Red Cup Music. This time out Chev shows another side. Absent are menacing bangers like "Straight Ballin' " and the kinetic late-night party anthem "Jimmy Fallon." Instead CW keeps a consistently smooth vibe on tracks like "Cassette" and the sing-songy "Head Over Hills."

Sounds perfect for a cookout. "That's where I'm trying to take you: to my backyard with my mom on the grill and my homeys around," Chevy said of the tape back in July. "I just want them to hear where I come from."

This past weekend, Atlanta's hip-hop community rolled out a regal red carpet for the return of a King. After T.I. was released from prison last Thursday, the King of the South was quick to make his presence felt publicly. With a few club appearances, song releases, radio interviews and, of course, a comeback performance at the taping for the October 11 BET Hip Hop Awards, T.I.'s actions suggest that he's ready to reclaim his throne.

And when he spoke to MTV News the King was noticeably humbled by the love ATL has shown him in the short time since his return.

"I feel phenomenal. But I've always been the kind of guy — I never really get a chance to soak up the feeling of the moment because even as we speak, I'm planning for the next moment," T.I. said during a Sunday brunch for his Akoo clothing brand on Sunday. "I'm looking to the future and trying to just move forward, just moving forward. I refuse to remain stagnant."

Last Friday, the day after his release, Tip gave Atlanta's V-103 his first post-prison interview and premiered his new single "I'm Flexin'." Later that night, the Trap Muzik MC made an appearance at Club Esso and followed that up the next day with an opening slot (along with Young Jeezy) at BET's Hip Hop Awards. The night still wasn't over, though, as he headed to an awards-show afterparty with Diddy. He topped that all off with the Sunday brunch and a surprise performance with Taylor Swift when the country star's tour hit Atlanta that day.

What a week!

DJ Khaled already said Rick Ross' upcoming album God Forgives, I Don't is a classic-in-the-making, and Drake compared it to the Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die.

Quite frankly, the Bawse is humbled.

"Me making my album is just a real tedious process that I go through," Rozay told MTV News while on the black carpet for the taping of the October 11 BET Hip Hop Awards. "The response from the people that I did play a few records for, the feedback is incredible."

While Ross has been tight-lipped about what he has planned for his fifth solo album, he did speak a bit on his upcoming collaboration with Mary J. Blige. "That's the Queen. I can just tell you about the experience," he said. "We actually worked in Michael Jackson's L.A. studio and we made some magic."

Mary J. Blige also spoke of the experience with XXL in September, clarifying that the two actually recorded in the last studio the King of Pop ever recorded in. "It's a private studio that one of our friends, he was really close to Michael Jackson, he let us use it," Mary said. "It's actually Marvin Gaye's studio. It [has] murals of Michael Jackson all over the [walls] and Marvin Gaye. That was the last place [Michael] actually worked at before he passed. It's such a good vibe."

Ross wouldn't give concrete confirmation, but said his MJB track could possibly be a single. The untitled track has definitely impressed the Yonkers, New York, singer. "Rick is fly. He picks the best beats, man," Blige told XXL. "That guy is amazing with that."

Like a good boss, Ross isn't just focused on his solo work; he has plans for his signed artists as well. He revealed to MTV News that he plans to drop a sequel to his Maybach Music Group compilation before the year's end. "Look for that Self Made 2; that'll be coming later this year," he teased of the album that will feature Meek Mill, Wale, Pill, Stalley and Ross himself. "Of course that God Forgives, I Don't as well as Ambition, Wale's [solo] album. Just support MMG. We grinding."

Rihanna Will Talk That Talk On Next Album

Rihanna revealed the title of her November 21 album on Tuesday (October 4) with a little help from her fiercely loyal Navy. Her fans unlocked the new title on Facebook: Talk That Talk.

The sassy name is certainly a tongue-in-cheek jab at any naysayers, critics and haters. The always swagged-out Rihanna has been using Facebook to tease fans with bits and pieces about her album, the follow-up to 2010's Loud. So far, they've unlocked five pieces that have teased lyrics, looks and logos. For those playing at home, seven more remain.

Before she officially released the album title, Rihanna emphatically denied one fan's suggestion on Twitter to call the LP I'm Sexy and I Know It. "HELL NO," she responded on the social-networking site.

In late September, Rihanna dropped the album's lead single, "We Found Love." On the Calvin Harris-produced track, Rihanna proudly sings about the power of love. She shot a video for the single in Northern Ireland last month, even offending the farmer whose land she was using for the shoot. He felt that her "state of undress" during the shoot was "inappropriate."

But Rihanna isn't worried about other people's perceptions of her art. In a recent interview with British Vogue, Rihanna said she is anything but a role model. "See, people ... they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me, and [being a role model] became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That's it."

Plus, she's very proud of her "We Found Love" video — skimpy costumes and all. "#WFLvid I really cant stop thinking about this video we just shot!" she tweeted at the time. "EASILY the BEST video I've done thus far!Definitely my fav 1,very powerful."

The 10 songs she's written so far are 'sad, if I'm being honest,' she tells The New Yorker.

It's been almost a year since Taylor Swift released the chart-topping Speak Now, which included the hits "Mine" and "Back to December." Fans won't have to wait much longer for the next country-crossover hits: Swift's next album is due sometime in 2012.

During an interview with The New Yorker, Swift said she recently decided that life is "about achieving contentment ... you're not always going to be ridiculously happy" — and that newly discovered viewpoint is leaking into her new music.

Throughout her career, we've seen Swift grow from a wide-eyed girl who sings about puppy love to a been-there, done-that young woman who understands heartbreak. Her new songs certainly fit into the progression. "They're sad, if I'm being honest," she said of the 10 songs she's written so far, adding that a recent track she wrote "is about moving on."

Of her abilities as a vocalist, Swift said singing is really just the vehicle to get her ideas out into the world. "I write songs, and my voice is just a way to get those lyrics across," she said.

In an interview with MTV News earlier this year, Swift said her ability to express her feelings in song has grown nearly as much as she has as a person. "I think retrospect will tell a lot. Years from now, I'll look back and go, 'I didn't know anything then,' " she said. "I had this song called 'Picture to Burn' that's talking about how 'I hate your truck' and 'I hate that you ignored me,' 'I hate you,' " she explained. "Now, the way that I would say that and the way that I would feel that kind of pain is a lot different."

Until Swift does put out new music, her fans can look forward to a concert album and DVD special called "Speak Now World Tour - Live," dropping November 21. It will include live versions of tracks like "Mine," "Story of Us," "Mean" and Back to December."

Lady Gaga's Mugler Fashion Film 'Director's Cut' Debuts

Last week, Lady Gaga invaded Paris to unveil her latest collaboration with Thierry Mugler designer Nicola Formichetti, a fashion film that featured her sporting three heads (and diamond-encrusted teeth) and spouting lines like "My heart sometimes feels so black ... and other days, my heart feels like rainbows."

Yeah, it was very Mugatu. But now, for those not lucky enough to catch the film's premiere at Mugler's Paris Fashion Week show, Gaga has premiered the "director's cut," which clocks in at just over three minutes (plus credits).

In the film — directed by frequent partners Inez and Vinoodh, who have worked with Gaga on each of her "Yoü and I" fashion films — the Mother Monster tosses around her towering, multi-hued pigtails, dropping lines like "I am Mugler woman, don't f--- with me ... Do not anger Mugler woman, she will eat you." DJ White Shadow's remix of the Born This Way bonus track "Black Jesus/Amen Fashion" plays underneath it all.

The "director's cut" of the film differs slightly from the version that played at the Mugler show last week, which featured shots of Gaga intercut with footage of models walking the runway.

Of course, Gaga and Mugler have collaborated before. Aside from the fact that Formichetti serves as Gaga's fashion director, he's previously debuted some of her music at his shows. In January, fashionistas got their first listen to the Born This Way track "Schieße" at a Mugler show. In March, Gaga not only made her catwalk debut at a Mugler show, but also premiered the BTW track "Government Hooker" too.

NEW YORK — What started as just a dozen college students camping overnight on Wall Street three weeks ago has mushroomed into thousands of protesters and Street-inspired gatherings across the country, from Los Angeles to Boston.

On Monday, a number of protesters dressed up as zombies, holding Monopoly money in their mouths in a gesture to financial workers. The crowd was especially energized after more than 700 of them were arrested over the weekend by New York City Police Department officers, who claimed they were blocking traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge. Thousands marched from the "base camp" at Zuccotti Park, a plaza near the city's financial center, chanting, "Take the bridge!"

Even as the number of protesters continues to fluctuate, the gatherings have remained relatively small by New York City standards. The longevity of the unrest, however, is far from normal. MTV News recently headed downtown and caught up with some of the young protesters to see what exactly was on their minds.

Mike Chrisemer, a 24-year-old graduate student at the City University of New York, said he got involved on the second day of the protest and doesn't plan to abandon the cause. "The general feeling is that the top 1 percent of people is ruling over the rest of us, the 99 percent, and it's not the status quo that we want to see anymore."

Sympathetic supporters have been donating food to the "occupiers," and those who camp overnight at the park rely on portable gas for laptop energy. Social media networks like Twitter have, of course, helped spark interest in the cause and serve as a vehicle to spread its message. For those who cannot get to NYC, a live stream is available at the Occupy Wall Street website.

Celebrity involvement has also helped stoke media attention. Lupe Fiasco, Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo and filmmaker Michael Moore made appearances in the past week, while "30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin has expressed support over his Twitter

At around 1 p.m. ET last Friday, an online rumor began to spread that Radiohead would be giving a surprise performance that afternoon in support of the protest. The buzz was put to rest when the band's rep later denied the group would perform, but it's likely that many curious onlookers (and Radiohead fans) had headed to the park anticipating the event. By 4:30 p.m., a statement was posted on the Occupy Wall Street site apologizing for the miscommunication; they further explained that an email from Radiohead's manager turned out to be a fake and cited the challenges of verifying information in an open-source movement.

The band's no-show didn't slow down momentum though. Late Friday afternoon, an influx of curious spectators wandered the park, many admitting they came after hearing the concert rumors.

"That probably brought a lot of these people here, but they're still here. It's not just about Radiohead, it's not a pop culture movement, it's a real movement to challenge the status quo," Chrisemer told us.

The protests come at a time when the unemployment rate among American youths under 25 is at 18 percent compared to the national rate of 9 percent. Nearly half of young Americans are underemployed, and the amount of student loan debt has recently surpassed credit card debt.

Tim Payne, a 20-year-old New York University undergrad, said he had been coming to the park between classes to hold signs and participate in the protest. "College tuition keeps going up and the top 400 people have more wealth than the lowest 125 million. I have all these loans out and they're profiting off that, and I don't think that's fair."

Some reports have been critical of the protesters for reportedly failing to deliver a clear message about their grievances. Instead, critics say, the rally has become a gathering place for anyone dissatisfied with, well, just about anything. When MTV News spoke with some of the young activists on Friday, their cardboard signs had messages that varied from dissatisfaction with financial corruption, NYPD police brutality, discrimination against Muslims and workers' rights.

"People have so much frustration with government and media, and they're taking this out as an outlet in different ways," NYU student Payne explained.

It's still unclear whether the protests will succeed in channeling frustration into a lasting movement similar to the Tea Party's conservative movement, which was started in 2009 by a group of Americans fed up with the status quo for different reasons. Occupy Wall Street protesters seem to be hopeful that they will have a voice that continues to be heard and gains momentum into the 2012 elections.

"It's more than just Wall Street," Payne added. "It's the fact that all of my adult life has been economic downturn. And I heard a quote once: it was 'When did the future change from a promise to a threat?' I feel like the people here still have faith in the future and are trying to change it."

Diddy said he's sorry, T.I. said he meant no disrespect, and radio personality Kenny Burns said there is no beef.

Things may have gotten a little heated in Atlanta club Compound this weekend when Diddy chastised a clubgoer for drinking Grey Goose vodka instead of the Puff-endorsed Ciroc, but it's all good now, according to Burns, who can be seen arguing with Diddy in a video of the incident.

"Puff and I got a long history of knowing each other and it's really nothing we can't talk out, because we done been through a lot," Burns told MTV News.

In the clip, Diddy — who was hosting a BET Hip Hop Awards afterparty on Saturday alongside T.I. — was on the microphone hyping up the crowd. At one point, the music stopped and the Bad Boy CEO barked at a patron for drinking his rival Grey Goose. "Bitch-ass n---a, put that sh-- down," he yelled into the mic before appearing to throw a piece of ice.

After Diddy's tirade, T.I., who was just released from prison and is currently on probation, grabbed the mic to reason with his collaborator and friend to let the people drink what they want.

V-103 radio host Kenny Burns is also seen on the tape, and to some, it appeared that Diddy's anger was directed at him. Not the case, said Burns, who has an endorsement deal with Grey Goose. "The only truth to that is that I'm an ambassador for Grey Goose and that he is an ambassador for Ciroc," he said. "At the end of the day, no, he was not talking to me. He was actually going at somebody in my booth. He made a mention in a song, 'Everybody put your bottles up,' and my table happened to be in front of his, and we were all drinking Grey Goose."

Burns insists that he was trying to play peacemaker, helping protect Puff's image and his friend as well. "I thought I'd jump in it and put my man back where he was supposed to be so he wasn't in harm's way and then climb up on the ledge and holla at Puff," he said. "At the end of the day, he's an icon of our generation. He don't need that look."

During a Wild 105.7 interview in Atlanta, T.I. clarified that he wasn't disrespecting Diddy but simply trying to "defuse the situation." Diddy has since taken to Twitter to apologize for his actions, and Kenny Burns said it has all been resolved. "Immediately after the club, myself and him went behind the cars and talked like men," he said. "We talked it out."

Reviews of his Fashion Week debut may have been mixed, but Kanye West isn't letting the critics slow him down ... because, really, why would he start now?

That was the takeaway from West's speech at the afterparty for his show on Saturday night, in which proudly proclaimed that he poured his heart and soul into his debut collection.

For a detailed account of all the looks, check out the MTV Style blog, which kept a running diary of West's fashion debut.

"Thank you for anybody that didn't believe, because they motivated us to break our boundaries," West told the celeb-packed crowd at Parisian hot spot Club Silencio, according to Women's Wear Daily. "We don't know what the reviews will be, we don't know what they will say, but I got a chance to go to Italy and feel those fabrics.

"I begged Louis Vuitton to let me do more shoes after my shoes sold out in two weeks, and they did not," he continued. "I begged Nike, I begged this company to let me do it. And I took out motherf---ing loans to get the best models, to get the best designers, to get the best venue. I gave you everything that I had."

West then turned his attention to the fashion critics, some of whom seemed to focus less on his collection and more on his celebrity. "This is my first collection. Please be easy. Please give me a chance to grow. This is not some celebrity sh--. I don't f--- with celebrities. I f--- with the creatives in this room, the amazing people who spend every day of their life trying to make the world a more beautiful place," he said.

West reportedly then wrapped up by once again thanking those in attendance and promised that there were only big things ahead ... both for him and his rapidly expanding fashion empire.

"I thank anybody who came to this party, everybody who supported, everybody who believed, because people thought it was a joke, and maybe people still do," he said. "But I can only grow from this point."

At Monday night's Hollywood premiere of the buzz-worthy "Footloose" remake, MTV News had to ask the stars about the film's catchy and intriguing tagline: "Cut Loose."

Naturally, we also talked about how the new "Footloose" compares to the old, along with how many nods there are to the 1984 Kevin Bacon career-launching classic, which will be rolled out in the next few days leading up to the film's release. But, first and foremost, we wanted to know what the actors do to cut loose during their downtime.

"I cut loose by playing with my dogs," said Julianne Hough, who plays rebellious preacher's daughter Ariel Moore. "They give me make-out sessions every morning in bed, and I love that; that's the best."

Kenny Wormald, who plays newcomer Ren McCormack, joked, "Aside from when I dance and break things in a warehouse?" — alluding to the film's iconic "angry dance" sequences. "I like to play golf. It kind of zens me out a little bit," he revealed. "There's a lot of cement in L.A., so I get off to a golf course, a beautiful green area, I love it."

Miles Teller, whose learning-to-dance montage set to "Let's Hear it for the Boy" is one of the film's best, admitted: "I'm not afraid to say it: I dance by myself in my room sometimes, and I have a disco ball that's in my bedroom that I plug in."

Of her passion for horseback riding, Andie MacDowell (who plays Ariel's mother Vi) said, "I ride bareback. I've been riding like that since I was 11, 10, so I have some experience."

Check out everything we've got on "Footloose."

Hank Williams Jr. Clarifies Obama 'Hitler' Remark

Country star Hank Williams Jr. spent Monday afternoon in damage-control mode, backtracking from statements he made that morning in which he compared President Obama to reviled Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. The comments got Williams' traditional "Monday Night Football" opening song, with its famous "Are you ready for some football?" refrain, yanked from the night's Indianapolis/Tampa Bay game.

"Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood," Williams said in a statement released Monday afternoon. "My analogy was extreme — but it was to make a point."

On Monday morning, Williams appeared on Fox News and referred to Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner's June golf outing with Obama as one of the "biggest political mistakes ever" by the Ohio politician.

"It's like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu," the country singer said of the bipartisan golf game. The hosts of the conservative network's "Fox & Friends" morning program seemed surprised by the comment, with co-anchor Gretchen Carlson asking Williams to clarify what he meant by the inflammatory statement, saying, "You used the name of one of the most-hated people in all the world to describe, I think, the president."

Williams responded, "That's true ... but I'm telling you like it is."

In his follow-up statement, posted on his website, Williams explained his sentiments on the Obama/Boehner pairing: "I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me — how ludicrous that pairing was. They're polar opposites, and it made no sense," he said. "They don't see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the President."

ESPN announced that it was dropping Williams' theme song from Monday night's program but didn't say whether it would re-appear at a later date. "While Hank Williams Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to 'Monday Night Football,' " the network said in a statement. "We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result, we have decided to pull the open from tonight's telecast."

Roots drummer ?uestlove commented on the flap on Twitter, writing, "Every 'HITLER' outburst i hear in the news shows me that people in fact do NOT know the evil Hitler committed ... I'm borderline certain those who are (NOW) quick to use HITLER so carelessly, were probably part of the '60 years ago never happened' crew."
