Kelly Rowland 'Excited' To Be Beyonce Baby's 'Auntie'

Before her F.A.M.E. Tour stop in NYC, Kelly tells MTV News she saw B and 'got a chance to rub her tummy.'

Kelly Rowland is thrilled that her sister in life and music, Beyoncé Knowles, is pregnant with her first child — but that doesn't mean K.Ro's ready to take on 40 weeks of morning sickness, strange cravings and swollen feet.

"I'm so happy for her and her husband [Jay-Z] and just excited to be an auntie — part two. First it was Julez," Rowland told MTV News, referring to Solange Knowles' 6-year-old, when we caught up with her on her tour bus during the New York leg of Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. Tour. "Now it's a new baby on the rise; it's gonna to be so exciting."

But when we suggested Kelly might be the next to bare a bump on MTV's VMA stage, the onetime "Destiny's Child" diva nearly spilled the blue plastic cup of post-concert something-something she had been sipping.

"Kids!? Unh-unh," she laughed, tucking a jumpsuit-clad leg firmly underneath her as a towering pair of heels lay on the floor of the warmly lit bus. "I'll help take care of my 'sister' and her husband's baby first. I'm not ready for babies yet. I can watch them take care of this little baby."

Still, Rowland said she'd have no problem pitching in on diaper duty when the superstar couple needed to get away for one of their well-documented date nights. Whether they're sharing a plate at Nello's in NYC or heading to Brooklyn to cheer on the Nets, B and Hov can count on Kelly. "I get to babysit, yes," she smiled.

"It's a wonderful moment," the "Motivation" singer added. "I just saw my sister today, and I got a chance to rub her tummy."

'Dancing With The Stars': J.R. Martinez Brings The Tears

Ricki Lake nabs the season's highest score so far with emotional rumba.
By Kelley L. Carter

Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" evoked emotion from most of the contestants. The third round of performances challenged the celebrities to dance to a song of their choosing that reflected the most memorable year in their lives.

There were many moist eyes in the audience as people heard stories of tragedy and heartbreak that were close to the hearts of this year's cast. Former talk-show host Ricki Lake scored the night's highest scores, once again impressing the judges with her technique and execution.

Here's how everyone fared:

Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke
The reality star danced the foxtrot to Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" in memory of his father, O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., and the judges found it to be very emotional. Said head judge Len Goodman: "You just put the dash into Kardashian, I'm telling you! Posture was good. Footwork was good. I hope your dad is looking down and saying, 'Rob, you did good,' because you did." 24/30

Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani
Phillips picked the moment in her life when she was sobering up and danced to "Hold On," a song she sang with her group Wilson Phillips that she says is therapeutic for her. In her rehearsal, she cried and had a few breakdowns but said she hoped people would see in her rumba routine (and the song's message, of course) that there was always a way out. "I knew you could do it. You are a smoldering siren. Seductive, intriguing, stylish, always so expressive. You belong in a museum to admire, my dear," said judge Bruno Tonioli. They scored the first pair of 9's of the season. 26/30

Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer
Bono was charged with dancing the rumba, and he picked a song that his dad, Sonny Bono, wrote, called "Laugh With Me." Bono, who is the competition's first transgender contestant, said this was his best year ever and the song meant a lot and is about being a different kind of man. The judges didn't think Bono kept focus during the dance but praised his willingness to come back week after week in spite of being heavily criticized for his dancing skills. "Every time I watch you get out on this dance floor, I'm so impressed by your real courage," Carrie Ann Inaba offered. "Because what you do just by showing up here takes incredible amounts of courage. I'm always touched by that. Tonight you looked really distracted. You seemed not quite focused into the dance. I felt like you didn't dance enough in this rumba. It's breaking my heart to say this, because I find you to be such an inspiration." 18/30

Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas
Not every story was forlorn. The former MTV reality-TV star picked Beyoncé's hit "Crazy in Love" for her samba, because she said 2005 was a big year for her. It was the year she moved to L.A. and decided to pursue a career in entertainment. "That was more than crazy in love; that was crazy in lust! Who can say no after that? It's yes, yes, yes, yes for me all the time!" Tonioli said. 24/30

Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya
Kressley picked the tango and danced to "It's My Life" by No Doubt, because the song came out the year that his Emmy-nominated "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" premiered and was a huge hit. He talked about being awkward and dweeby and coming out and how his life now is inspired by the meaning of the song, because it's about celebrating his life. Judges thought he finally turned it around and gave a great performance. "That was insanely brilliant! And yes, you will make it to the ball!" Tonioli said. 23/30

J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff
War hero Martinez picked the year he was injured in Iraq when he drove over a landmine. He shared the story of when he first looked at his face after his accident and talked about how he started to blame himself and question how his life had turned upside down. He said it was a tough time in his life and didn't think there was anyone who could understand the pain he was going through. He picked Tim McGraw's "If You're Reading This" for his rumba and said there are a lot of families that don't get a second chance. His dance was in tribute to the men and women who didn't make it home. The judges and the audience (judging by the long applause) found the dance to be beautiful and moving. "Heroes are normal people. Tonight, you did something extraordinary: You touched us all. That was one of the most profound, honest dances I've ever seen," Inaba said. 26/30

Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus
The talk-show host picked "Moon River," the song she walked down the aisle to, for her dance. She said it also was the song that she used to sing to her twin babies. She told the story of their birth and said doctors told her that her daughter Lucy may not make it. "Nancy, you've got to try to get ... a little bit better posture. The thing is, you've got to show the emotion of the dance. I thought you did that very well," Goodman said. 21/30

Ricki Lake and Derek Hough
Lake, who was at the top of the leaderboard last week, said she had a rough 2010 because her marriage ended, her house burned down and she saw her life flash before her eyes. During that time, she met her new fiancé and said she never felt love the way she does with him. The song she chose was "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles, and the rumba routine she performed reflected the first few months with her new love. The judges were impressed and thought she turned in another knockout performance. "Ricki Lake is on fire! That was breathtaking, that was gorgeous, and it was sensual," Inaba said. 27/30

Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
The athlete picked 2011 when she went to the Women's World Cup as her biggest year. They made it to the finals but didn't win. She talked about the disappointment in not taking home the top prize but said she ultimately learned it was about the journey. She danced the cha-cha to "Tonight" by Enrique Iglesias, her team song. The judges thought the dance was sexy and hot and said there's so much potential with her as a dancer. "I would have liked a little sharper action. But for me, that was your best dance so far," Goodman said. 24/30

David Arquette and Kym Johnson
The actor picked last year when his marriage to actress Courteney Cox fell apart. He was really hurt and lost and escaped into alcohol to try and numb the feelings. It was really hard to deal with, but Arquette is grateful for it because it showed him that he needs to be there for his daughter. They picked "O-o-h Child," because the lyrics speak to his daughter and tell her everything is going to be all right. The judges liked the emotion in his dance and thought it was a vast improvement from last week, when he landed in the bottom two. "I thought you did a great job. I'm very proud of you," Goodman said. 24/30

Robert Pattinson 'Great To Work With' In 'Cosmopolis'

'I'm one of the only characters that comes in and out of the story,' Sarah Gadon tells MTV News about the David Cronenberg film.

Robert Pattinson, who will marry Kristen Stewart in "Breaking Dawn" this November, is also set to wed Sarah Gadon in David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis." And, as Gadon revealed to MTV News, it's going be a very interesting journey for the newlyweds in the film.

"I think it's a really interesting film, and I don't want to give away too much, but I think in a really kind of pared-down version of the film, it's about a young millionaire who loses everything in the course of a day," New Class-er Gadon said.

"I play his new wife, so I'm one of the only characters that comes in and out of the story throughout the film. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner together, and those are going to be some interesting meals."

Having already worked with Cronenberg on the Freudian flick "A Dangerous Method," Gadon said she was fully aware what she was getting herself into, so watching Pattinson get into the director's dangerous method proved to be quite interesting.

"For me, it was really interesting and great to work with Rob at this point in his career," she said. "And I think David Cronenberg is a fabulous director, and to see Rob meet with David at this point in his journey as an artist was really special for me to watch.

"I think when you work with David Cronenberg, it's a really exciting and liberating and, at the same time, terrifying experience. And it was really great, having worked with David, to watch somebody new go through that ... I think it's really great for [Pattinson] to have chosen this role and be a part of our film."

It's a great time to be Gadon: Her star is definitely on the rise, and having someone like Cronenberg on her side is certainly proving to be fruitful for the 24-year-old Canadian native.

"I thought that going into the process with 'A Dangerous Method' was way more daunting," she admitted. "I had created an audition tape, sent it into David, had booked the role, flew to Germany knowing I would be playing Michael Fassbender's wife in a film with Keira Knightley and Viggo [Mortensen] and Vincent Cassel. And then, not having met David until the day I arrived in full period hair and makeup for our camera tests ... I didn't even sleep.

"So, that whole experience really made me grow so much as an actor that by the time 'Cosmopolis' came around, not to brush it off, but I was ready for something like that. I felt prepared," she continued.

"Also, David is such an intelligent and thoughtful director, but he's also a man of few words, so getting 'Cosmopolis,' when he asked me to be a part of that film, in a way, it was a validation."

Beyonce's 'Countdown' Video: Watch A Sneak Peek!

Retro-tinged 4 clip premieres Thursday.
By Jocelyn Vena

Beyoncé in her "Countdown" video

Let the countdown begin! Beyoncé's retro-tinged "Countdown" video premieres Thursday, and we already have our hands on a 30-second tease.

The clip features a close-up of Queen B hamming it up for the camera before panning out to reveal a look that pays homage to both Michael Jackson and Audrey Hepburn thanks to her short bangs, cropped pants, black turtleneck and exposed socks. Beyoncé stands in front of a black-and-white striped wall as she moves her arms like a clock.

Right before the Boyz II Men-sampling countdown begins, Beyoncé kicks up the swagger, curling her lips for the lines, "If you leave me, you out of your mind."

The mod fashion continues with B shimmying around in a black-and-white color-block outfit with vibrant eye makeup. As the tease closes, Beyoncé shows off her pregnant profile and then appears in three different bodysuits accessorized with a black-and-white hat.

When MTV News caught up with Boyz II Men last week, they gave B props for sampling their "Uhh Ahh" in the single. "I thought it was very clever," Wanya Morris told MTV News. "She's a clever artist. She's one of the best in the business right now. I guess you can say we finally got our duet with Beyoncé."

"Countdown" is the fourth video from Beyoncé's latest album, 4, having already dropped clips for "Run the World (Girls)," "Best Thing I Never Had" and "1+1." B also banked a video for "Party" in August that has yet to be released.

Michael Jackson Pronounced Dead Twice By ER Doctor

'Mr. Jackson died long before he became a patient,' Richelle Cooper testifies during Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial.

By the time Michael Jackson was delivered by ambulance to the UCLA Medical Center's emergency room, he was already dead. That was the testimony the jury heard Monday (October 3) as the second week of the manslaughter trial of the late pop icon's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, got under way.

"Mr. Jackson died long before he became a patient," said emergency room doctor Richelle Cooper in testimony continued from Friday.

Other highlights of Monday's testimony:

» Cooper said she actually pronounced Jackson dead twice, once on the phone at 12:57 p.m. on June 25, 2009, when paramedics couldn't revive the "Thriller" singer at his rented home and again at the hospital at 2:26 p.m. after Murray insisted Jackson be transported to UCLA for further treatment.

» When defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan pressed her on whether Murray's failure to disclose that he'd given Jackson the powerful anesthetic propofol had an effect on the care she gave, Cooper said yes. Flanagan then suggested Murray had left that fact out because he believed the propofol had worn off earlier in the day and did not cause Jackson's cardiac arrest.

» Cooper said the amount of propofol Murray told police he'd given Jackson — 25 milligrams — was half of what she would use to sedate patients, saying it would not likely be enough to knock the singer out.

» CNN reported that the defense appears to be trying to establish a timeline that depicts Jackson dead earlier in the day to bolster their claim that he dosed himself with propofol.

» Phone records indicate that Murray was texting and talking on two of his cell phones in the hours and minutes leading up to Jackson's cardiac arrest, during which he was supposed to be tending to the pop star. In the hour before he discovered Jackson in bed unresponsive, records had Murray making calls totaling 46 minutes, one of which came from Bridgette Morgan, who testified Monday that she called Murray a half-hour before Jackson went into cardiac arrest.

» Another ER doctor who worked on Jackson at UCLA, cardiologist Thao Nguyen, said Murray never mentioned propofol to her either as she was working to revive the singer. She added that when she pressed Murray for what time he last gave Jackson sedatives he claimed he didn't know and did not have a watch.

» Houston doctor Joanne Bednarz-Prashad later took the stand to testify that when she spoke with Murray about a patient they shared on the morning of Jackson's death, she was "impressed" that he had no trouble relaying details about that patient's medical history.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. He faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical license.

Robert Pattinson Has 'An Edge' In 'Cosmopolis'

Although most of Robert Pattinson's fans are totally focused on November 18 — a.k.a. the release date for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" — the heartthrob has another equally buzzworthy film headed into theaters in 2012: the dark, postmodern drama "Cosmopolis."

The film, adapted by screenwriter and director David Cronenberg from Don DeLillo's novel, revolves around a day in the life of hotheaded asset manager Eric Packer (Pattinson) with most of the plot's action taking place in a limo.

MTV News caught up with "Cosmopolis" co-star Kevin Durand at the premiere of "Real Steel" over the weekend, and he had nothing but rave reviews for both the film and its leading man.

"It's awesome. We're just in postproduction right now. It's incredibly exciting," Durand said. "Robert is a very gracious, kind fella, and we had a great time [filming]. We had a really great time."

When asked what new sides of Pattinson's acting abilities we'll see in the film, Durand said we'll see an edgier, more adult version of the "Twilight" star. "He's got an edge to him in this film," Durand said. "He did some really excellent work that I think he should be very proud of."

The "Real Steel" and "I Am Number Four" actor went on to say that given the subject matter and action in the plot, the film will have a more adult rating and that fans should be very excited to see it.

"[It takes place] in present day, but it's its own time and place," he explained. "Mr. Cronenberg has such an amazing voice. I myself am just as excited, probably more excited, than anyone else to see it, just to see what he's done with it."

Drake Takes Center Field In 'Headlines' Video

Drizzy puts Toronto hometown on full display in latest Take Care clip.

All Drake cares about is money and the city that he's from, and in his "Headlines" video Drake puts both on full display. Standing center field in Toronto's Rogers Centre, Drizzy adjusts his black Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap as the stadium's scoreboard is lit up with the title of his October 24 album, Take Care.

The Young Money soldier released the clip on Sunday through his October's Very Own blog, three weeks before his sophomore LP is set to drop. Directed by OVO crew members Lamar Taylor and Hyghly Alleyne, "Headlines" doesn't necessarily follow a narrative but instead places Drake in a few different scenes, performing his rhymes for the camera and contemplating his comeback.

"I might be too strung out on compliments, overdosed on confidence," the MC spits as he emerges from a blockade of his stoic-looking crew members. From there, we see Drake rapping in front of a rundown building with the letters "OVOXO" sprayed in graffiti on the wall, and then spitting his verse in a high-rise elevator.

Interestingly enough, no other members of the Young Money team appear in the video; no cameos from Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj or Cash Money's Birdman. It is a family affair, however. By the start of the second verse, Drake sits at the head of a dining table, puffing on a cigar with an assortment of wine bottles scattered about. Members of his team sit with him in a "Sopranos"-style, La Cosa Nostra scene.

It isn't the over-the-top video Kanye West directed for Drizzy's "Best I Ever Had." Instead "Headlines," like the previously released "Marvins Room" video (also from Take Care), is set in Canada and gives a more intimate look into who the superstar rapper really is.

As the clip comes to a close, Drake is once again standing center field in Roger's Centre as the stadium's dome opens to reveal Toronto's skyline. Who says you can't go back home?

'Hobbit' Is Yet Another 'Boys Club' For Evangeline Lilly

'It's really chilled out and relaxed,' actress says of film's New Zealand set.
By Kara Warner

Even though the big-screen adaptation of "The Hobbit" is based on J. R. R. Tolkien's beloved book, everyone knows the movie version won't be an exact replica and that there will be a few surprises in store when the first film hits theaters next year. One of those surprises director Peter Jackson already announced is the addition of actress Evangeline Lilly, playing the newly created role of Woodland Elf Tauriel.

MTV News had a couple of minutes with the actress at the premiere of her new film "Real Steel" on Sunday night, and we snuck in a few "Hobbit" questions, asking for a progress update on the elf fight training she endured for the role.

"Elf fighting, let me just say something, recovering from labor is like recovering from a full-body injury, and I didn't realize to what extent that was true until I started training for elf fighting," revealed Lilly, who gave birth to her first child in May. "My hips don't move like they used to move, my back doesn't move like it used to move, my shoulders are sore every day. But it's fun."

The former "Lost" actress said she's also enjoying the "chilled out" atmosphere of filming in New Zealand, as well as being a part of yet another male-dominated cast.

"It's kind of, like, my M.O.," Lilly said about being one of few women on set. " 'Lost' was a boys club, 'The Hurt Locker' was a boys club, ['Real Steel'] was a boys club, and now 'The Hobbit' is a boys club. So I'm used to it. ... It's really chilled out and relaxed, and everyone is really down to earth and supportive."

Finally, we asked Lilly if she'd been able to glean any words of wisdom from Jackson's previous leading-lady elves, Cate Blanchett as Galadriel and Liv Tyler as Arwen in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

"I wish! I would love to talk to those women, and they're two women who I deeply admire," she said. "Cate Blanchett is in this film, and I missed her; we didn't cross paths. She was filming before I got there and was gone by the time I arrived.

"But the good thing is, I tried not to copy their performances," she added. "I really wanted to have something original, so I intentionally didn't go back and watch 'Rings' for that reason. I just want to create something new."

Papoose Set On 'Proving' He's <i>King Of New York</i>

'A lot of my haters reached out who disagree,' Pap tells Mixtape Daily of staking claim to five-borough rap crown.

Headliner: Papoose

Mixtape: King of New York

Real Spit: The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z and ... Papoose? At one time or another Biggie, Nastradamus and Hov have all been considered crown-holders in New York's raps king debates, and now Papoose is declaring that his reign over the five boroughs officially begins with his new mixtape King of New York.

"The reason I chose that title is because I am the king of New York," the Brooklyn MC said with confidence to Mixtape Daily. "It feels good to be the king of New York so I just wanted to celebrate myself being the king of New York, so I figured I'd make it a self-titled mixtape."

On the tape, Papoose tackles Jay-Z and Kayne's "Otis" beat as well as French Montana's "Shot Caller" — with zero subtlety. Each time out, Pap lyrically pounds his chest in an attempt to back his grand proclamation. On "Name Calling," the "Law Library" lyricist works vocals from his incarcerated wife Remy Ma onto the track. If Pap is king, then Remy rightfully sits on the throne beside him.

Over the slow, prodding thump, Rem spits, "Back on the scene, crispy with cream/ I'm not the empress or princess, I'm the queen." Her husband remixes the bars to suit his ends and brags, "Back on the scene, True Religion jeans/ I'm not the prince or the servant, I'm the king."

Since announcing the tape's title, Papoose has met some vocal opposition from rap fans, but it hasn't deterred him in the least. He intends to prove his claim, he told Mixtape Daily. "I'm From NY" is the rapper's take on Meek Mill's "Ima Boss," and on "Conan," Pap takes aim at the competition over a triumphant beat.

"This CD is a celebration of my royalty," he said. "I'm just feeling so good."

Apparently.

Joints to Check For
» "King of NY": "It's just basically breaking down some of the reasons of why I'm the king of New York. The reaction was both-sided, but it was a little bit more to the good side. A lot of my supporters, a lot of my fans reached out. And a lot of my haters reached out who disagree that I'm the king and I just let them know that I intend on proving it."

Rihanna Says She's No Role Model

'I just want to make music,' singer tells British Vogue.

Rihanna channels Marilyn Monroe on the cover of the new British Vogue, but inside the issue, she's talking about playing a different role: the badass mistress on display in hits like "S&M."

Because no matter what folks may think, Rihanna says that all her vamping — which apparently got so hot and heavy in her upcoming "We Found Love" video that it angered a farmer who owned the land the clip was being shot on — is just an act she puts on for her fans.

"That's not me. That's a part I play. You know, like it's a piece of art, with all these toys and textures to play with," she tells the magazine. "See, people ... they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me, and [being a role model] became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That's it."

Rihanna added that, despite a past that included a father who reportedly struggled with substance abuse and an assault at the hands of then-boyfriend Chris Brown, she feels stronger now than ever and doesn't feel that her experiences make her any different from the millions of others who have dealt with broken homes and domestic abuse.

"I saw too much. I was way too mature for my age," she says. "Look, God doesn't give any more than you can handle. I had to get through a lot of ups and downs — big downs — and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now."

Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett 'Tramp' It Up In New Video

Classy clip, featuring a blue-haired Gaga, hit the Web on Monday.
By James Montgomery

Of the current crop of pop superstars, perhaps none is better suited to take on "The Lady Is a Tramp" than Lady Gaga — and we definitely don't mean that in a bad way.

After all, the song — first performed on Broadway in the 1937 musical "Babes in Arms," a production better known for the standards it featured, like "Tramp" and "My Funny Valentine," than it's rather brief run on the Great White Way — has been covered by the likes of Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Bassey over the years, and requires a certain quality that only those stars possessed: a brassy, beguiling bite, one that comes across both in their voices and the way they carry themselves away from the stage.

In short, they have to be able to embody the titular Tramp. And now, Gaga got her shot, in an updated version of the song that appears on Tony Bennett's chart-topping Duets II album. A video for the song premiered online Monday (October 3), and, yes, Gaga plays the role to perfection, vamping and camping alongside Bennett, blue hair bobbing along to the beat. In a floor-length black-lace dress, she belts out the chorus, flits and flirts through lines like "I love the free, fresh wind in my hair" and "I'm so broke" (and even professes her love for the Yankees, which probably explains her behavior at Citi Field last season) does the prerequisite pouting and even scats a bit.

Bennett seems to love every minute of it, trading vocal couplets, laughing when Gaga steals his handkerchief and taking her on a slow dance at song's end. And thanks to the backing of a roaring big band, this new version of "Tramp" is not only a welcome addition to the lengthy list of cover versions, but, in some way, it takes the song into new territory too. A lot of that is thanks to Gaga, who gives her all and really, truly becomes the Tramp.

After dropping his second solo single, "Just in Love," last month, Joe Jonas decided to hop back on the Fast Life track, but this time with some love from Lil Wayne.

A Weezy-approved remix was released on Monday morning (October 3).

"I'm just in love with you baby," Wayne shouts at the top of the track, which for the most part stays the same, except for a few shout-outs from Weezy.

Soon after Joe's single came out in September, the Jonas Brother followed up the dance track with a sexy video. The "Just in Love" clip features the singer frolicking around Paris with a beautiful French model.

Weezy returns halfway through the track to throw down a verse with his signature swagger. "Hey Joe, I got you/ Ain't no love like the one I got/ I'm a prisoner of love/ Got my heart on lock," he raps. "It's like a star from the sky fell from by side/ And she tell me that it's mine/ And I say that's fine/ She look like a butterfly/ Smell like a flower/ I don't need nothing/ Nothing but her/ And the smile on her face."

As the track closes out, Wayne has this final message for the lady he loves: "I'm just in love with you/ Ever since you came into my life/ My life has changed for the better."

When Joe spoke to Ryan Seacrest on Monday, he told the KIIS-FM host how he felt about the superstar rapper. "Lil Wayne, I've always been a huge fan. He's always been one of those artists who's been killing it for the longest time," Jonas said. "Like many artists, I wanted to work with him somehow. I met him three years ago when Russell Brand hosted the VMAs."

Joe recalled meeting Wayne back then. "I remember walking up to him [and introducing myself] ... and he just goes, he's like 'JOOONAS! What you doing man?' and he gave me the biggest bro hug. This project came along. He wanted to be a part of it and he made this remix and he killed it."

Fast Life, Joe's first-ever solo album, hits the streets on October 11.

Method Man And Irv Gotti To Roll Through 'RapFix Live'

Check them out Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com!

When he first stepped on the scene, suckers were petrified. Now, Method Man has grown into one of hip-hop's most beloved MCs. He isn't known to do a ton of interviews, but on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com, Mr. Meth will chop it up with Sway on "RapFix Live."

In 1993, the Wu-Tang Clan seemingly came out of nowhere, but now it's pretty hard to imagine hip-hop without the nine-man Staten Island group. Method Man emerged as the crew's first superstar (but certainly not the last) thanks to his standout solo Wu single and Mary J. Blige duet "All I Need." These days, Meth is hitting the road with rappers Curren$y and Smoke DZA and working on his fifth solo album. When he hits the "RapFix" couch, fans can expect Meth to discuss his growth, Wu-Tang's legacy and the future direction of his career.

Check Styles P, Glasses Malone and Mistah Fab on last week's "RapFix Live."

Just as Method Man evolved from local rap artist to worldwide superstar, Irv Gotti went from a little-known Queens, New York, DJ to one of music's most successful executives. After spearheading the career of 1990s rap breakout Mic Geronimo, Irv raised his stock by helping Jay-Z, DMX and Ja Rule all land deals at Def Jam Records in the mid- to late '90s.

As a producer, Irv has crafted hits for Jay, DMX and Ja, as well as Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti and Foxy Brown. Things went sour when Gotti's Murder Inc. record label was put on trial by the federal government for money laundering, and though Irv and his brother Chris were found not guilty in December 2005, the label never quite regained its footing.

Through it all, Gotti has remained one of the industry's most electric personalities and premier hitmakers. There is no telling what Irv will reveal when he hits the "RapFix" couch.

Catch Method Man and Irv Gotti on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday, October 5, at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com!

The second posthumous Michael Jackson album is slated to hit stores on November 21. But unlike last year's Michael, which featured unreleased tracks from the late pop icon, Immortal will serve as the soundtrack to the just-launched Cirque du Soleil show of the same name. The album, sorry, "musical tapestry," is entitled Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, and it will feature reworked versions of some of Jackson's most beloved hits, mash-ups and never-before-released outtakes of the late King of Pop's tunes.

Among the latter is an alternate take on the Jackson 5 staple "ABC" and a choir-assisted rendition of "They Don't Care About Us."

The visually stunning show — in the tradition of previous Cirque musicals featuring the music of Elvis and the Beatles — kicked off in Montreal on Sunday and is slated to travel throughout North America and the rest of the world. It will hit 60 North American cities before wrapping up in June in Chicago and taking up a residency at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Cirque writer/director Jamie King recently told Billboard that the idea was to be as inventive as possible with the MJ arrangements, treating them like Cirque did the "Love" soundtrack to the Beatles show, in which the Fab Four's tunes were reshaped in previously unheard ways to create a seamless mixtape of trippy sounds.

"Definitely all the hits that the fans want to hear are there," King said. " 'Beat It,' 'Thriller,' 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' ' — the big, iconic songs are there, with some other songs mixed and matched throughout. There's some younger Michael in there as well, 'Ben,' the Motown stuff. ... It's a mixed bag of tricks in terms of songs. It's a music-driven show, so we're making sure the music is the narrative that drives us and takes us on the journey."

The collection will come in several versions, including a deluxe $50 set that features the CD, a T-shirt and show program. It will feature more than 40 of Jackson's greatest hits. In a statement, Kevin Antunes, musical designer of the Cirque du Soleil show, added, "Michael's legacy as the greatest entertainer of our lifetime is inspiring beyond words. It was clear from the start that Michael's voice and overall musical essence was the sole/soul source of creative energy driving the project. From the studio to the stage, there's an undeniable integrity and resolute truth in Michael's vocal performances that are highlighted in the Immortal arrangements. It was built with love and respect for Michael's music, his family and his millions of fans around the world."

Among the songs included on the deluxe version are: "Working Day and Night," "Ben," "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)," "Beat It/ Jam/ State of Shock," "Remember the Time/ Bad," "Man in the Mirror," "Can You Feel It/ Don't Stop Til You Get Enough/ Billie Jean/ Black or White," "Human Nature/ Speechless," "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," "I'll Be There," "Gone Too Soon" and "Is It Scary/ Thriller/ Ghost/ Somebody's Watching Me/ Threatened."

In other MJ news, in the midst of the manslaughter trial of former Jackson physician Conrad Murray, the Michael Forever tribute concert is slated to take place in Cardiff, Wales, on October 8. The show, hosted by Jamie Foxx, will feature performances from the Black Eyed Peas, , Ne-Yo, Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, Craig David, Pixie Lott, Alexandra Burke, Alien Ant Farm, Motown legend Smokey Robinson and the first live performance by Jackson sibling LaToya in more than 20 years.

Most people turn 60 with a quiet party among friends or maybe a surprise bash put together on the DL by their spouses that features a hilarious slideshow or funny video. Not Sting. The former Police frontman and solo star plugged in and played with everyone from Lady Gaga to Mary J. Blige and Bruce Springsteen in celebration of his 60th birthday on Saturday night at the Beacon Theater in New York.

The event, a charity fundraiser for the anti-poverty group the Robin Hood Foundation, included Gaga on piano banging out a jazzy cover of the Police's "King of Pain," giving the sedate ballad the same kind of electric energy she brings to her own key-thumper "You and I," according to Rolling Stone. She traded lines with Sting on a stage packed with up to 20 musicians, including a string section and backup singers, who helped the eternally youthful singer work his way though his 30-plus-year catalog of hits.

Among the other highlights: Stevie Wonder doing a duet with Sting on "Fragile," will.i.am throwing a freestyle rap and bits of the BEP's "I Gotta Feelin' " into the Police's "Walking on the Moon," Billy Joel marking a rare return to the stage for renditions of "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" and "Don't Stand So Close to Me," Rufus Wainwright singing "Wrapped Around Your Finger," and Sting teaming up with his son Joe for a moving rendition of the tune Sting wrote about his own relationship with his pops, "Why Should I Cry For You?"

One of the highlights of the evening was the mini-set with Springsteen, who waltzed out with his guitar to sing the sedate death-row ballad "I Hung My Head," which featured a raucous guitar solo. He also performed a solo version of "Fields of Gold" on 12-string guitar and harmonica, with one verse sung a cappella. Sting came out to sing "Can't Stand Losing You" with the Boss, with the two men leaning in to each other and howling the lyrics into the same microphone.

The night ended with the party's guests trading lines on "Every Breath You Take," with Gaga nodding to her piano icon, Joel, while singing the line "Can't you see/ You're the one for me." Sting closed out the show with a solo acoustic version of "Message in a Bottle," which was followed by wife Trudie Styler surprising him with a dozen bagpipers and a confetti drop that got the one-named rock icon misty. "Thank you a million times," he told the crowd as he and the missus danced together onstage.

A big mazel tov to Seth Rogen! While fans were hitting up the movie theaters this weekend to see his film "50/50," Rogen was busy marrying his longtime lady love, Lauren Miller.

People.com reports that a number of Rogen's pals and former co-stars, including Jonah Hill, Adam Sandler and Paul Rudd, attended the California ceremony on Saturday. The pair married in Sonoma in a location overlooking a nearby vineyard.

A female rabbi married the pair with other friends like "Knocked Up" director Judd Apatow, his actress wife Leslie Mann and "The Office" star Craig Robinson in attendance. After the pair tied the knot they reportedly drove off in a convertible to another location for the A-list reception.

A source tells Usmagazine.com that "the wedding was more laughs than anything else. Every other line was a joke and the crowd couldn't contain their laughter. It was nonstop fun!" The festivities reportedly took place over three days.

Rogen's cancer dramedy, "50/50," co-starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, opened on Friday and came in at a solid #4, right behind "Dolphin Tale" (#1), "Moneyball" (#2) and "The Lion King" (#3).

Rogen and his writer bride met back in 2004 when he was a writer on "Da Ali G Show." When he was on "Conan" last November he opened up about popping the question to Miller a couple months before, in September.

"Literally, I felt like someone had given me like a truckload of heroin to hold onto, I felt like the feds were going to kick in my door at any second," he said of buying the engagement ring. "I couldn't have a conversation with my girlfriend. All I could think of was this ring. Like, 'Don't say 'Lord of the Rings'! Don't mention anything about a ring!"

He joked that the proposal wasn't perfect: He did it while she was dressing. "I didn't picture it like this, and I know she didn't picture it like this," he recalled. "No little girl is like 'It'll happen in a closet with my [chest] out.' "

Leave your well-wishes for the couple in the comments below!

ATLANTA — It was only fitting the "King of the South" made his regal return on a stage so close to where his troubles began back in 2007, but also so near where he first got his start in the game. After completing his 11-month prison sentence on Thursday, T.I. opened the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards with Young Jeezy as the two performed the Snowman's new single "F.A.M.E."

The awards show, which taped at the Atlanta Civic Center on Saturday, is set to air on Tuesday, October 11; comedian Mike Epps hosted with assistance from Da Brat. While T.I. arguably provided the show's grandest moment, Rick Ross and his Maybach Music crew, Lupe Fiasco, Big Sean, Heavy D, DMX and Wiz Khalifa all electrified the crowd with hyped-up performances throughout the night.

Rap legend LL Cool J received the show's highest honor when he was presented with the I Am Hip-Hop Award for his career of achievements in music, movies and television.

The awards show's black carpet was equally star-studded. Rival rap crews like Ross' Maybach Music rubbed shoulders with G-Unit's newest members Shawty Lo and Kidd Kidd in a show of peace, love and appreciation for the culture.

As most fans know, BET's pre-taped rap ciphers typically generate some the of the ceremony's most buzz-worthy moments, with memorable performances from Kayne's G.O.O.D. Music crew, Mos Def and the Roots' Black Thought going viral in recent years. This year, the network upped the ante adding more rhyme ciphers than ever before. MCs like French Montana, Tech N9ne, Big K.R.I.T., Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Maybach Music Group, Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf and Eminem all traded rhymes while DJ Premier spun the beats.

Among the leading nominees are Lil Wayne (who earned a record-setting 18 nods), Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Waka Flocka Flame, while stars like NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire, Tracee Ellis Ross and Nelly were among the presenters.

Tune in to the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday, October 11, at 8pm ET to see who took home the prizes!

'Arrested Development' Movie Confirmed

'It's true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie,' series star Jason Bateman tweeted over the weekend.

The "Arrested Development" movie is finally happening. No, seriously. After years of rumors, denials, hedging, backtracking and wishful thinking, series co-creator and executive producer Mitchell Hurwitz confirmed over the weekend that not only are the seriously, hilariously, unapologetically dysfunctional Bluth clan headed to the multiplex, but they will get tuned up for their movie debut by making a short trip back to TV.

Speaking on Sunday at the New Yorker Festival, Hurwitz broke the news, with "Development" actor Jason Bateman confirming it a few hours later on his Twitter feed. "It's true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early '13. VERY excited!"

According to The New York Times, when asked by moderator Nancy Franklin to give an update on the long-rumored film, Hurwitz confessed, "We're 80 percent of the way to an answer." He explained that director/producer Ron Howard, who also narrated the show, "had been talking about this for ages and trying to get this going. ... We don't completely own the property, there are business people involved and studios and that kind of thing. Just creatively, I have been working on the screenplay for a long time and found that as time went by, there was so much more to the story. In fact, where everyone's been for five years became a big part of the story. So in working on the screenplay, I found even if I just gave five minutes per character to that back story, we were halfway through the movie before the characters got together."

Hurwitz was speaking on a panel that gathered the beloved cult show's cast together for a "Bluth Family Reunion." He said that the plan is to do a limited run (nine or 10 episodes) of the series on TV and then segue into the movie in order to get the hype machine cranked up again, with each episode focusing on one character's backstory to bring us back to the present. Among the castmembers on hand were Bateman, Michael Cera, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jessica Walter, Jeffrey Tambor and Alia Shawkat, as well as call-in guest Howard.

Given the show's sly, twisty inside-joke humor and legendarily wacky tangents, there was, of course, some skepticism about whether Hurwitz's announcement was possibly part of some cosmic joke. But he later confirmed that he was halfway done with a screenplay, though he did not make any announcement about which studio or network would be handling the re-boot.

Hurwitz also cleared up a long-running misconception about why the movie has not come to pass: the reluctance (don't need to repeat 'alleged') of "Scott Pilgrim" actor Cera, who was allegedly refusing to play ball. The show's creator explained that the rumor that Cera was stonewalling the project was an inside joke gone wrong.

"I kind of was perpetuating a little thing, like, wouldn't it be funny if Michael Cera was the holdout," he said. "Let's put that out there. And Michael had that Andy Kaufman thing. And then it really turned ugly, quickly. So I really just have to say, for those of you that have been following this saga, Michael's always been great."
