The prospect of an exclusive clip from "Breaking Dawn" already has Twilighters buzzing about Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, but the exclusives don't stop there: MTV is planning another special first look, which will roll out during the red-carpet pre-show.

We know what it is and the "Breaking Dawn" stars know what it is, but viewers will have to wait until sometime Sunday between 7:30 and 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV for the reveal. And just to tease you a bit more, Elizabeth Reaser (a.k.a. Esme Cullen) put together a list of three clues to set you off in the right direction.

"Is it possible that there was a butterfly involved? Did I give it away? Or I might have just hallucinated that," she said from the Sneak Peek Week red carpet for "The Art of Getting By." "I would assume that there would be some lavender involved -- lavender and or purple -- however you want to describe that. And it is the most coveted invite in town."

Jackson Rathbone also wants fans to watch the show, and he promises the surprise will be worth it. "If you tune in to the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, you're going to see something ultra-special at the red carpet," he said. "That's right, something you've been waiting years for, and we're really excited to show it to you, so make sure you tune in."

Interest piqued yet? Sound off on what you think the surprise is in the comments section below or send your best guess to @MTVNews on Twitter.

'X-Men: First Class': Meet The Mutants

With "X-Men: First Class" being the fourth "X-Men" film released this decade, you might think you know a thing or two about our favorite friendly (and not-so-friendly) neighborhood mutants, but the latest installment of the franchise, out Friday (June 3), is here to prove you wrong.

MTV News caught up with the stars of the summer blockbuster recently, and they were more than willing to clear up any preconceived notions we might have had about their characters.

"Professor Charles Xavier, when we meet him, is actually Dr. Charles Xavier, but he becomes a professor during the course of the movie," James McAvoy clarified. "His power is he can read, bend and manipulate your mind, and his relationship with Erik [a.k.a. Magneto] is probably the closest relationship he's ever had."

"Erik Lehnsherr-slash-Magneto, he is ruthless, intelligent, charming and adaptable," Michael Fassbender teased.

Jennifer Lawrence explained how her character, Raven Darkholme/ Mystique, is connected to the two main men. "Magneto to her is kind of this iconic man that's kind of the crush that she's always had and she admires him very much. And Charles [Xavier] has always been like a brother to her," Lawrence said.

There are quite a few new characters to add to the mix as well, most notably Kevin Bacon as bad guy Sebastian Shaw, the head of the Hellfire Club.

"My power is to be able to absorb energy and harness it and throw it back at whoever is trying to use that energy against me," Bacon explained to MTV.

Then there's Emma Frost, played by January Jones, who is Shaw's right-hand woman. "Her powers are twofold," Jones explained. "She has the mental capacity to read minds or control them, and then also, physically, she can change into a diamond form, which makes her physically indestructible."

Some other new characters are Zoe Kravitz's Angel Salvadore, a go-go dancer who is able to sprout wings, and Lucas Till's Havoc, a liability who has no control over the beams he can sprout from his body.

You can bet there are plenty more mutants that join the first class, but you'll have to meet them on your own in theaters now.

Check out everything we've got on "X-Men: First Class."

'The Help' Stars Talk Tearjerkers At MTV's Sneak Peek Week

Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard open up about book-turned-movie during Q&A session.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard spoke to a packed room at the Pacific Design Center on Thursday night (June 2) for the latest installment in MTV's Sneak Peek Week, opening up about retro tearjerker "The Help," which screened to an excited crowd shortly before the chat.

Since the book-turned-film is certainly emotional, we asked its leading ladies if they ever reach for the tissues in the movie theater.

"Oh, I cry!" Emma Stone admitted. "It's shocking I'm not crying right now. I cried at 'Air Bud.' I cried at 'Spice World.' " But what about when she watches her own movies? "That's crying out of terror and self-loathing," she joked.

All joking aside, Stone is really proud of "The Help" and "felt it reflected the book."

"When you read the book, you have a vision of those characters too," she said. "I definitely understand being protective of the material."

"The Help" is the film adaptation of the best-selling novel set in the South during the civil-rights movement. It stars Stone, Howard and Viola Davis and focuses on the bonds formed in the face of adversity. Stone is the flick's protagonist, Skeeter, who works to make a change through writing a book about the hardships felt by minorities in the South during this pivotal time in history.

"She's a bit of a modern woman," Stone said of her character. "When I was younger, I thought I wanted to be a writer. She's curious about people and she's questioning her life."

Howard, meanwhile, plays the bigoted Hilly, and the actress said she latched onto something very specific about the character to make her relatable.

"The thing I eventually grabbed onto was her ignorance," Howard explained. "Once I understood, I then could attempt to play that character."

Stone used her costumes to help her get into character. "The accent is always a major concern, and then, of course, knowing how to be Southern, there's a lot of challenges," Stone said. "This is the first time I felt more in character after putting on the wardrobe. It was wonderful to have that."

Stick with MTV News all week as we gear up for Sunday's Movie Awards with a Sneak Peek Week screening and live-stream Q&A session every night this week.

Jason Bateman Warns Jason Sudeikis: 'Don't Be Hungover' At Movie Awards

'Horrible Bosses' co-star tells host Sudeikis to 'be all you' on Sunday.

Jason Sudeikis is obviously no stranger to the pressures of live TV. On Sunday, he'll join a long list of "Saturday Night Live" stars who've hosted the MTV Movie Awards that includes Andy Samberg, Jimmy Fallon, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers and Dennis Miller.

Nevertheless, Sudeikis told us he'll be psyching himself up in the mirror in the moments before the show. Standing backstage with his "Horrible Bosses" co-star Jason Bateman shortly after an MTV News screening and Q&A of their comedy at the Pacific Design Center on Wednesday night, Sudeikis even offered to demonstrate some of the things he'll be telling himself before the big show.

"Remember to keep your eyes open, Jason! Nobody likes a mumbler. And, uh, 'Got your nose!' It's like my catchphrase to myself. 'Got your nose!' "

"With a little wink?" Bateman asked. "He's adorable!"

All kidding aside, Bateman was confident that his buddy won't need any extra coaching. "He doesn't need any advice. This guy's been good on his feet for years and years, that's why he has the best job in show business on 'SNL.' You people at MTV are very lucky to have him."

"We've kept a tight group," Sudeikis said of his preparation process. "I've been very fortunate to have a lot of my friends and co-workers from 'SNL' helping out and they had a great group out here [in Los Angeles]. Mark Burnett [the event producer] has been my boss in regards to this, and I've spoken with him twice and he's been nice. No 'horrible bosses' at this point."

"Just don't be hungover," Bateman said, turning his eyes to Sudeikis. "Be all you. Just make sure you're there and well rested, angel," he added.

Then he went in for a kiss (you have to watch the video).

So what can we expect from the show?

"I bet people will be screaming after certain movies are named," Sudeikis offered. "I bet it will run exactly on time and I bet that ... It's very difficult [to predict]. Well, probably, I bet someone dies."

Bateman smiled. "That's great! Tune in for some good death, Sunday night, MTV!"

Pink has given birth to a baby girl with husband Carey Hart.

"We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart," the singer tweeted late Thursday (June 2). "She's gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed."

After rumors about her pregnancy surfaced in the fall, Pink confirmed the happy news on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show in November. Telling the talk-show host that she's "glowing," Pink added, "I'm eating for two these days. ... I worked for it. ... It was not an 'Oops!' "

Pink explained that she and Hart hadn't responded to the speculation in the week since the rumors first emerged because she had suffered a miscarriage in the past. "I was just really nervous," Pink said on the show. "I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you."

Before the "Ellen" appearance, the doctor had warned Pink that she would have a baby girl, but the pop star didn't want to believe it at the time. "I'm terrified, because she thinks it's a girl! My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me. I'm terrified one of us will go to jail."

Pink and Hart married in January 2006, separated in early 2008, and then got back together in the spring of 2009. Willow Sage is the first baby for both celebrities.

New Gwen Stacy says 'it was pretty great to be together' on 'The Help' set when she learned the casting news.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — In a weird twist of fate, Emma Stone found out she'd be playing Gwen Stacy in the latest installment of "Spider-Man" while on the set of "The Help" co-starring the previous franchise's Gwen, Bryce Dallas Howard.

"I found out while I was on set of 'The Help,' " she said about the Andrew Garfield-starring "Amazing Spider-Man" during "The Help" Q&A session for MTV's Sneak Peek Week. "It was pretty great to be together for that."

Howard said she was almost as excited about the casting as Stone was. "Representing as redheads!" she proclaimed onstage in front of an excited crowd at the Pacific Design Center. "I'm one of those people that goes online and reads gossip about movies, so pretty early on, there was some buzz," she said, adding that she stormed into Stone's trailer the minute she heard the news. "I was stoked."

With so much buzz about the new "Spider-Man" film, it seems that Stone will be just as surprised as fans to see the flick.

"I've seen nothing, I promise. I've seen small action sequences for the 3-D, and it looked terrible," she joked. "I really haven't seen [anything]."

So what did Stone do to research the role of Gwen — besides leaning on Howard for her first-hand account, of course.

"I read a pretty comprehensive 'Death of the Stacys' book ... and it's a really amazing book to learn the story of Captain Stacy and Gwen Stacy," she said. "And I've read a various amount of comics."

One of the benefits of being behind the scenes in the midst of the madness leading up to the MTV Movie Awards is our fly-on-the-wall vantage point, and we've been getting all kinds of insider glimpses into the prep work that goes into the show, including red carpets rolling out, sets being built and lights getting adjusted.

On Thursday (June 2), in addition to chatting with host Jason Sudeikis and the finalists of "America's Best Dance Crew" ahead of Sunday's big finale, we sent our intrepid reporter Jim Cantiello into the swanky world of swag, where he got a sneak peek at the goodies that make up this year's official MTV Movie Awards gift bag.

One of Jim's favorite things, i.e. items that were sparkly and/or eye-catching enough for him to pick up, included Murad's bronzer, which he suggested would be a great get for Robert Pattinson and any of the other "Twilight" castmembers who play pale-skinned vampires. Speaking of "Twilight," Pro Beauty Tools is gifting celebrities with a bunch of their professional hair-styling tools, the standout being the styling brush used on the set of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn."

There are too many goodies to name, but a few of the other highlights include a $50 Starbucks card, Ralph Lauren Fragrances' Big Pony Collection scents for men and the Romance and Summer Romance for women, a Kobo e-reader loaded with 100 books, a Casio TRYX camera and a two-night stay and specially designed bag from Andaz 5th Avenue.

How does this year's goodie bag compare to past years? Last year's gifts included season-one DVDs of MTV's hit "Jersey Shore" and fashion PR maven Kelly Cutrone's book "If You Have to Cry, Go Outside."

Foo Fighters' 'Walk' Video: 'Falling Down' All Over Again

Posted: 01 Jun 2011 11:32 PM PDT

New clip from MTV Movie Awards performers is a humorous take on intense 1993 Michael Douglas film.
By James Montgomery

The Foo Fighters' new "Walk" video is, rather oddly enough, a near re-creation of the 1993 film "Falling Down," the oft-disturbing portrait of the prototypical "angry white male" (as portrayed by Michael Douglas, complete with crew cut and short-sleeved work shirt) who is pushed to the brink by what he views as society's decay — immigrants, crime, greed, bureaucracy, the fact that McDonald's stops serving breakfast at 10:30 a.m. — and goes on a violent rampage as a result, culminating in a stand-off with police and his death. Only, you know, funny.

Yes, "Walk" — which premiered Thursday (June 2) on MTV.com — is a bit strange: a humorous take on a film that a) most people probably don't remember, and b) wasn't all that humorous in the first place. It opens with frontman Dave Grohl (who, besides his long hair, is a dead-ringer for Douglas' Bill Foster with his horn-rimmed glasses and striped tie) stuck in a traffic jam of suck: a snotty kid stares at him from the back of a station wagon; bumper stickers proudly proclaim "Bieber is my Co-Pilot," "Thank You, President Bush" and, rather hilariously, "Coldplay"; well-heeled jerks kick back in their cozy convertibles. And, much like Foster, he snaps, leaving his car on the freeway and beginning a trek across Los Angeles, carrying his guitar case with him.

We then follow him as he is pushed closer and closer to the edge, thanks to an ever-extending chain of society's annoyances: his iPhone dies, a clerk at a convenience store refuses to give him change to make a call and he can't find a payphone. Of course, unlike "Falling Down," Grohl's reactions and his interactions are played up for comedic value. He doesn't smash up a Korean-owned grocery store, shoot up a fast-foot restaurant or stab a white supremacist. Instead, there is a rather humorous karate fight with some gangbangers (fellow Foos Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett), and he drives a golf cart into a lake.

And, unlike Bill Foster, Grohl's voyage of carnage doesn't end with a climatic showdown with police at Venice Fishing Pier, but rather at a Foo Fighters' practice, where he and the band tear through the remainder of the song before the police come crashing in. Grohl gets tazed. The band poses for pictures with the officers. It is funny — and, unlike their "Rope" video, "Walk" looks like it cost a bit of cash — it's just, well, odd.

Those not aware of "Falling Down" will probably view this as another in a long line of funny Foos clips. But for those who've seen the film (which can be polarizing, to say the very least), it's sort of impossible not to view "Walk" through the prism of the original. And that's why it's a weird thing to watch. Funny? Sure. A slightly odd choice? Most definitely. Then again, the Foo Fighters have long defied conventions, and with "Walk," they continue down that path — with some silly costumes, of course.

The Foos will perform "Walk" on the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, airing live Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Fans would love to see MTV Movie Award nominee and "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson take a stab at hosting "Saturday Night Live." Well, maybe when "SNL" castmember Jason Sudeikis hosts the Movie Awards this Sunday, he can convince the British heartthrob to come on the show next season.

"I think anybody should host ['SNL'] if it's something they want to do. Just give it a shot!" Sudeikis told MTV News just steps away from the Gibson Amphitheatre, where the 2011 MTV Movie Awards will be taking place Sunday. "We're certainly a safe place, a safe haven."

Sudeikis even had some encouraging words for the potential host: "We got you, buddy. You'll be fine. Hold on to me tightly. We'll take you through the forest of 'SNL.' "

As far as he can remember, Sudeikis has yet to introduce himself to Pattinson. Though he might have met him already — unless that person was actually the star of "Dexter."

"I think I met him in the evening of the Emmys, but at the after-after-afterparty," he recalled. "So it may have been Michael C. Hall. They may have both been there. But no, it'll be nice to see him. He's never hosted 'SNL.' Him nor Kristen [Stewart]. And Kristen I got to meet during the promos, but Robert I haven't met yet."

In that promo, Sudeikis gives Stewart a haircut, but we're not sure fans would be as comfortable watching the Movie Awards host chop off Pattinson's famous locks. The 20th annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Steve-O Says He Should Top Justin Bieber For MTV Movie Award

One of the many ways the MTV Movie Awards distinguishes itself from all the other awards shows out there is the unique categories for which performances by actors, actresses and assorted moments in film are nominated and awarded.

The is a perfect example. This year's nominees run the gamut from cringe-worthy and painful moments to larger-than-life concert experiences, amazing special effects and being covered in poo.

The nominees are: Natalie Portman for her hangnail moment in "Black Swan," Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page for the dream-within-a-dream "café scene" in "Inception," James Franco between a rock and a hard place in "127 Hours," Justin Bieber performing in his 3-D concert doc "Never Say Never," and the mighty Steve-O for his Porta-Potty moment in "Jackass 3D."

When MTV News caught up with poo and Porta-Potty expert Steve-O recently, we asked him how he feels about going up against fan favorite Justin Bieber.

"I'm not sure exactly what Justin Bieber's jaw-dropping moment is. From what I gather, it's not actually that spectacular," Steve-O said, pointing to the fact that Bieber's concert performance isn't quite as intense as Portman's or Franco's painful scenes. "But with his following, I'm pretty much showing up at this Movie Awards feeling like I'm a spectator and I'm going to watch him win," he continued. "I'm fine with that."

The "Jackass" star went on to say that the big reason he is a fan of the Biebs is not for his singing career, but his skateboarding skills. "Justin, I'm glad you know how to ride a skateboard and you have passion for the sport," he said to Bieber. "I consider skateboarding a sport, and I like Justin Bieber because he rides," he revealed.

In thinking a bit more about how Bieber's nominated moment stands out from his fellow "jaw-dropping moment" nominees, Steve-O suggested that we think about re-naming Bieber's big scene. "It should be called a 'panty-dropping moment,' " he said with a laugh. "The jailbait panty-dropping moment of all time, [by] Justin Bieber."

And although Steve-O doesn't expect to win, he did give himself a little plug, since in his infamous Porta-Potty bungee scene, his jaw did drop. "I should win, because my jaw was completely dropped the whole time," he said. "I had my mouth wide open and poo flying in there, and if I didn't drop my jaw, then that wouldn't have happened, so I should win."

'Breaking Dawn' Is A 'Fulfilling' Finale, Jackson Rathbone Says

There's plenty of "Twilight" goodness to look forward to at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, but what Jackson Rathbone is most looking forward to is the sneak peek of "Breaking Dawn" that his castmates Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will present during the big show.

Rathbone shared his enthusiasm for the final two "Twilight Saga" films when we caught up with him on the set of his new film "Live at the Foxes Den," describing the finale as "the culmination of this saga, and it really wraps up the story in such a beautiful way. We had the amazing [director] Bill Condon on, and I was very, very excited to play Jasper once again in these films and kind of step up."

Fans who have read the book know Jasper and his lady Alice (Ashley Greene) have a very significant role in the "Breaking Dawn" plot arc, but Rathbone said he was more excited to show off Jasper's love and devotion to his family in the next two movies than he was for his beefed-up role.

"There's an amazing moment in 'Breaking Dawn' - I can't say which movie, though. I'm sorry, I'm not technically allowed. But there's a very fulfilling moment for myself as an actor and as a fan of the books and of the film series that you get to see, in the end, really how much these characters love one another and how much they function as a family, even though they are kind of an odd family of vampires. Vegetarian vampires, at that. They're an odd bunch," Rathbone said with a laugh. "But, I mean, the way they love and feel about each other and the way they protect and support one another I think is beautiful, so I think we're going to get to see that happen in 'Breaking Dawn.' "

'Never Say Never' star is up for Best Jaw Dropping Moment at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards.

Justin Bieber is known for making his fans scream their heads off whenever he's around, so it's no surprise that he's up for Best Jaw Dropping Moment at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards for his 3-D concert spectacular "Never Say Never."

When MTV News caught up with two-time MTV Movie Awards host Jimmy Fallon on the Universal Studios lot, just a stone's throw from the Gibson Amphitheatre where Sunday's show will take place, he explained Bieber's jaw-dropping abilities.

"Bieber is just so jaw-dropping because Bieber in 2-D is enough, [but] Bieber in 3-D? Hold on to your horses," he said of the pop superstar, who is up against James Franco ("127 Hours"), Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page ("Inception"), Natalie Portman ("Black Swan") and Steve-O ("Jackass 3D"). "It's insane."

Fallon, the new host of Universal Studios Hollywood's behind-the-scenes Studio Tour, knows a thing or two about the Movie Awards, since he co-hosted with Kirsten Dunst in 2001 and returned solo in 2005. He's pretty sure fellow "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Jason Sudeikis, who is tapped to host the show this year, has it in the bag when it comes to hosting.

Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina Say They Won't Stray From Country Roots

'We're country kids, so we're gonna make country albums,' Alaina tells MTV News.

On Wednesday, exactly a week since he was crowned an "American Idol" champion, Scotty McCreery told MTV News all about the plans for his debut album (and his thoughts on the whole "Country Bieber" thing, and it should probably come as no surprise to learn that he's not planning on straying too far from his roots.

"It's gonna be a good ol' country album," McCreery said. "I like to have that old flavor in my music, but with a contemporary feel, so we'll see where that leads me. I think it'll a good little mix."

But, of course, it won't just be McCreery releasing a post-"Idol" album: runner-up Lauren Alaina is already prepping her debut disc. And, if you watched the preternaturally perky belter during her time on the show, well, you can probably guess how her debut will sound.

"We're country kids, so we're gonna make country albums," she said. "I'm definitely going to have a country album, and if it crosses over, that would be great, but I like new, upbeat songs that people can dance to and sing along to, so, yeah, that's where I'm headed, hopefully."

So for those keeping track, that's two country albums coming your way soon. And, in keeping with grand "Idol" tradition, both McCreery and Alaina will begin work on their albums during the American Idols Live! Tour, a task, given their young ages, that would seem to be pretty daunting. But, as it turns out, they've actually gotten used to the grind; in fact, it started way back during their time in the ill-fated "Idol" mansion.

"I write my own music, I really like to write," Alaina said. "Scotty and I were actually writing a song together back when we were living in the mansion."

"We're heading on tour and we're going to be recording our albums when we're out on tour, and it's going to be a busy time," McCreery added. "But we're going to do our best to get the music out to you as soon as possible."

Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV Pushed Back To August

Although Weezy gave his adoring public a new single "How to Love" last week, Lil Wayne fans will have to wait just a bit longer than expected for the Young Money head honcho's ninth studio album, Tha Carter IV. One of the New Orleans native's publicists confirmed to MTV News on Thursday (June 2) that the album is now due out on August 29.

This is certainly not the first time the highly anticipated album has been pushed back. With some reports stating that Wayne had been working on the fourth installment of his Carter series back in 2008, Young Money president Mack Maine once said that Wayne wanted to release his opus upon the day of his release from prison last year. Then, in March, on the first night of his I Am Still Music Tour, he announced that it would drop on May 16.

"It can come out tomorrow 'cause I'm so finished," Wayne told MTV News at the time. But in April, the date was again pushed back until June 21.

"He's still perfecting a few things, he's a perfectionist ... changing a few lines," Young Money president Mack Maine told us, hinting that they were waiting on some huge features to complete the album. "If you calculate all of that, by the time we would've finished mixing, we wouldn't have met the [original] due date to turn in the album."

Lil Wayne isn't alone in the pushback department either. DJ Khaled's fifth album and major label debut We The Best Forever (a collaborative effort between his We The Best Music Group imprint and Cash Money) was slated for a June 28 release but will instead see the light of day on July 19.

Lucky Don Says Maino Inspired Him To Leave Streets For The Studio

Brooklyn spitter tells Mixtape Daily success of onetime fellow inmate Maino proved he still 'had a chance.'

Brooklyn spitter Lucky Don had dreams that not even his 10-year jail bid could derail. "I knew how to rap before I went to jail," he tells Mixtape Daily. "I always knew how to rap."

With the chips stacked against him, Luck found inspiration in BK rapper Maino, whom he met while the two were locked up in New York's Gowanda Correctional Facility. (Luck was found guilty of shooting at a police officer.) "Me seeing him grow made me feel like I had a chance," he said.

With his mixtape grind in full swing after dropping last year's DJ Self-hosted The Voice, Don linked up with his friend Maino, as well as Bronx rapper Fred the Godson on the TY Fyffe-produced "Let's Go (Remix)." The original version of the song featured Luck by himself, and, at first, he set out to deliver his hardest raps over the bouncy club beat. But then he received a bit of friendly advice from the "Hi Hater" MC.

"We met up on Atlantic and Bedford [in Brooklyn], I pulled up, put the CD in the car and we were just sitting in his car just listening to the beat over and over again," Luck recalled. "He was like, 'Nah, my dude; nah, son. This ain't one of those beats — later for all that rap stuff right now.' "

At Maino's urging, Luck switched up his flow to something that matched the beat. The song soon became so big on New York's underground that Maino agreed to jump on the remix. Now Don, who's set to release his second mixtape, The Difference, in June, is finally seeing his dreams come to fruition.

"I can't even lie, I love music, I always loved music. I ain't gonna sit here and front like, 'I'm a street n---a and I never really wanted to do this.' This is what I wanted to do. That other Luck that was locked up and all that, I left him back there. I came home to do music."

Details have been scarce about this summer's potential blockbuster "Super 8," as J.J. Abrams and company have maintained their typical air of secrecy about the thriller, which hits theaters on June 10. All that could change on Sunday night, when viewers will get a sneak peek at the Steven Spielberg-produced movie at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

Both director Abrams and Spielberg will join "Super 8" stars Elle Fanning and Joel Courtney on the stage of the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, to present never-before-seen footage from the film, which chronicles a mysterious event accidentally caught on film by the cast of young stars.

All we know so far about the movie's plot is that while making a homemade zombie movie, a group of kids film "something" escaping a train crash. And whatever it is sends their town into turmoil. The "Super 8" trailer has earned comparisons to such Spielberg classics as 1977's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."

Earlier this year, Abrams explained to MTV News why he's kept a tight lid on the flick's details. "I feel like the fun of the movie is the experience of these characters and the most fun you can have as an audience is not going in feeling like you've seen more of the film than the characters have," he said. "My gut would be, as it always is, is that less is more. We have no intention of spoiling the fun prior to the film being released."

The MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by "Saturday Night Live" funnyman Jason Sudeikis and will air live on Sunday at 9 p.m. The show will also include an exclusive clip from "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1."

Abrams, Spielberg, Fanning and Courtney join a previously announced slate of presenters that includes: Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Steve Carell, Emma Stone, Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey, Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy.

The show will also feature the Foo Fighters playing their new single "Walk" and two songs from Lupe Fiasco, who will serve up "The Show Goes On" and the first-ever televised performance of his Trey Songz collabo, "Out of My Head."

Attention, Jane Lynch and Sue Sylvester fans! Your favorite "Glee" scene-stealer and all-around gifted comedienne has officially been named this year's host of the 63rd annual Emmy Awards.

Although this will be her first time emceeing the big event, which recognizes the best and brightest working in and on television, Lynch has plenty of Emmy experience. Last year, she participated in a show-stopping, "Glee"-themed opening number and later snagged the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy, for which she gave a memorable and entertaining speech.

"I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox," Lynch said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit."

"We're delighted to have Jane Lynch host the Primetime Emmys this year," said John Shaffner, chairman and CEO, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. "When our host has comedic, dramatic and musical talents — as Jane proved in last year's opening number — we know it's going to be fun for us and for the audience at home!"

"Jane was my first — and only — choice as the host for this year's Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said 'yes,' " said Mark Burnett, executive producer of the Emmys and also of this Sunday's MTV Movie Awards. "She has incredible comedic timing, and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host."

The 2011 Emmy nominations will be announced July 14, and the awards show will air live Sunday, September 18, on Fox.

Lady Gaga Says Born This Way Is 'Absolutely' Not Worth More Than 99 Cents

'I applaud a company like Amazon for equating the value of digital versus the physical copy,' Gaga tells The Wall Street Journal.

Ever since Lady Gaga's Born This Way was released on May 23, much has been made of its pricing and promotion, a multi-tiered plan that included partnerships with everyone from the folks behind "FarmVille" to Best Buy ... and, of course, Amazon.com, which decided to price the album at 99 cents on the day of release to promote its Cloud Drive service (and when the download demand subsequently sank the site, they extended the deal for a second day).

According to some estimates, downloads through Amazon accounted for nearly half of Born This Way's 1.1 million sales — which certainly proved that it worked — but at the same time, it also sparked genuine debate about the inherent worth of an album ... and whether the Amazon model may have fundamentally changed the way new releases are promoted and priced.

So, in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Gaga was asked whether she believed that Born This Way was worth more than 99 cents. And her answer was somewhat surprising.

"No. I absolutely do not, especially for MP3s and digital music. It's invisible. It's in space. If anything, I applaud a company like Amazon for equating the value of digital versus the physical copy, and giving the opportunity to everyone to buy music," she said. "It also wasn't really 99 cents, because Amazon paid the difference on all of those purchases as part of their promotional campaign for one of their new services. I think it's amazing and it was a really nice surprise and I felt honored that they chose my record to be part of it."

Amazon would be paying the difference on all those 99-cent purchases to Interscope/ Universal Music Group — a tab that could run as high $3.2 million, according to Billboard.biz — but in the long run, that loss might actually be viewed as a win, since it drove traffic to the site and raised awareness of its fledgling Cloud Drive service. And Gaga is the first to admit that the plan isn't for everyone ... it's up to individual artists (and their labels) to determine a price point. But she's happy with the results this time out.

"I don't know if other artists or other companies would want to adopt the same model," she told the WSJ. "Everyone always has the opportunity to sell their music at any price they want to. This sort of happened this way and it's very exciting."

Rihanna's 'Man Down' Video Slammed For Violence

Parents Television Council and Industry Ears criticize depiction of murder in new clip.

Rihanna has more than said her piece about how her 2009 assault at the hands of ex-boyfriend Chris Brown has affected her. But in the new video for her single, "Man Down," the singer is depicted shooting an unarmed man in the head in cold blood at a train station in what viewers later learn is retaliation for a previous sexual assault.

"Mama, I just shot a man dead," Rihanna sings in the video, which debuted on BET on Tuesday.

The Parents Television Council, the Enough Is Enough campaign and the entertainment think tank Industry Ears released a statement on Wednesday condemning the video for what the group said was an apparent enticement to young women to turn to violence.

" 'Man Down' is an inexcusable, shock-only, shoot-and-kill theme song," said Industry Ears co-founder Paul Porter, a former programming director at BET.

The lyrics to the song match the narrative of the video, including such lines as, "I didn't mean to end his life/ I know it wasn't right ... I took his heart when/ I pulled out that gun ... Oh mama, mama, mama/ I just shot a man down/ In central station/ In front of a big ol' crowd."

The PTC lamented that Rihanna had a "golden opportunity" to use her celebrity status to send an important message to young girls and victims of rape and domestic violence with the clip, but had missed the mark. "Instead of telling victims they should seek help, Rihanna released a music video that gives retaliation in the form of premeditated murder the imprimatur of acceptability," said the PTC's Melissa Henson.

Though a spokesperson for Rihanna could not be reached for comment, the singer took to Twitter on Monday to give her fans a preview of the clip's message. She wrote that it had a "very strong underlying message 4 girls like me."

MTV News spoke with director Anthony Mandler last month, when he revealed that Rihanna let him take the visual to the extreme. "We shot the video last month in Jamaica, and it's my favorite song she's ever recorded, so I was really excited to get involved," he said. "And it's just one of those songs that demands a strong narrative and visual, and let's just say, she let me go all the way. So I think you can expect something that's dramatic and shocking and intense and emotional and uplifting and enlightening."

The organizations have called for BET to stop airing the video immediately. A spokesperson for BET could not be reached at press time.

For her part, Rihanna has continued to tout the empowerment message of the clip, tweeting on Wednesday, "Young girls/women all over the world ... we are a lot of things! We're strong innocent fun flirtatious vulnerable, and sometimes our innocence can cause us to be naive! We always think it could NEVER be us, but in reality, it can happen to ANY of us! So ladies be careful and #listentoyomama! I love you and I care!"

It's not the first time Rihanna has been embroiled in a video controversy. Her sexually-suggestive "S&M" clip was banned in a number of countries earlier this year, and some questioned whether she was glorifying domestic violence around the release of the video for her hit Eminem collaboration, "Love the Way You Lie."
