This is it.

Barring any colossally unforeseen circumstances (or eight more root canals), Lil Wayne will be formally sentenced and finally turn himself in to begin his one-year prison sentence in New York on Tuesday (March 2).

The sentencing was scheduled for last month, but Wayne's attorney requested a delay due to dental surgery the rapper required. Judge Charles H. Solomon agreed to the last-minute request and rescheduled the proceedings for March 2. The New Orleans MC has had more time than he requested to recover from a reported eight root canals in one day.

"I don't want this to get pushed back anymore," Judge Solomon told the rapper's lawyer during his last appearance. "This is the last adjournment."

Wayne is set to appear before Solomon on Tuesday afternoon and plead guilty to attempted gun possession. He's then expected to turn himself in immediately to begin his prison term.

The rapper reached a deal with prosecutors in November to plead out to a lesser deal and in return he is expected to be released from prison as early as October of this year. In 2007, Lil Wayne was arrested for gun possession following his first headlining performance in Manhattan at the Beacon Theater. A gun-possession charge in New York could have landed the Cash Money superstar behind bars for up to 15 years if he was convicted.

New York is among the toughest states in the country when it comes to gun-possession laws.

In other states, Lil Wayne could have reasonably gotten off with a misdemeanor rap and probation. However, in New York, mostly law-enforcement officials and those affiliated with authorities are permitted to carry firearms. The Empire State's stringent gun laws were originally enacted during former governor George Pataki's administration.

Ultimately, what Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to amounts to him being able to have access to a gun. Police did not find a weapon on the rapper when his tour bus was searched. Rather, the gun — registered to his manager — was in a bag located near the rapper, hence the attempted charge.

Lil Wayne has been working feverishly in recent weeks to complete a number of videos and songs to stay relevant during his physical absence. That pace he's gotten accustomed to, however, will come to a screeching halt, according to a New York corrections officer who spoke to MTV News.

Once the rapper lands behind bars, his days will be as regimented as his recording schedule — but will be maintained by the prison warden, not Lil Wayne.

"He'll be housed with inmates who are classified in his category, and he'll be able to be a regular inmate," the guard said. "He'll be able to watch television, go into the day room and congregate with people of his classification.

"He'll have no preferable treatment at all. He'll be treated like a regular inmate," the guard, who declined to be identified due to the classified information he discussed, added.

Lil Wayne is also still facing charges in Arizona, and his trial is set to begin there March 30.

French Montana is in no rush to put out his debut album. One of Akon's newest signees said he has enough money to continue serving up material through mixtapes, such as his latest, Mac Wit Da Cheese 2. His first album has to be classic, French said.

"My album is set for late summer," French said last week while shooting a video for his mixtape track "Bad Habits," with guest Bun B. "It's called Excuse My French. I'm just working. I wanna come with a masterpiece, man. I'm not no overnight rapper. I'm comfortable with where I'm at. My followers are my real followers. I ain't no phase. I'm here to stay. [The release] could be late summer, it could come out past then, as long as it's a masterpiece when we put it out. ... You gotta understand, that's what they gonna remember you for, your first album. Biggie's Ready to Die, UGK's first album — you wanna come with the same thing. The title gotta live up to the music."

Bun and French share a mutual respect for each other's grinds, Montana said.

"The video is called 'Bad Habits,' " Montana explained. "Everybody got a bad habit. I sent [the track] to Bun. Bun heard it, laid the verse in like five minutes. I sent it to him, he called me back in five minutes. I was like, 'Oh my God.' "

"I was in the lab, I was already in that zone," Bun added. "It was something that I felt made sense, that I felt represented his movement, repped my movement, and we spoke to people on a real level. That's one thing about UGK music. We can't be fabricating sh--. We kept it real with each other."

French isn't the only new guy Akon is looking to put out. The worldwide superstar just signed Southern California's Ya Boy to his Kon Live company.

"Ya Boy is one of the hardest workers today. ... He's an amazing artist that never got a chance to shine," Akon said in a statement. "He never gave up, and now he has a chance to shine not only on the West Coast, but internationally."

Ya Boy's new LP should be out later this year.

Lady Gaga loves her overseas little monsters so much, she decided to add more dates to the European jaunt of her Monster Ball Tour. The tour was scheduled to wrap March 8 in the UK before picking up in Australia for a number of dates. But Gaga will head back to Europe in May for 10 new dates, as well as two rescheduled dates.

It was also announced that Gaga will embark on her first major arena tour when she returns to North America this June, hitting 30 cities. More info is coming soon.

Gaga will be on the road with glam-rock band Semi Precious Weapons, who recently spoke to MTV News about what it's like to the opening act for the woman who was once their opening act at club gigs in New York.

"When we met her, we were doing shows here bringing, like, 300 people or so, and we were looking for bands to open for us," bassist Cole Whittle recalled. "They were all boring, but she was fun and partied, and her and [Gaga's performing partner] Lady Starlight had a really cool show. We were like, 'I'd much rather see this than some hipster band.' "

So they opted to do the future pop star a favor and have her join them for their shows. Despite the fact that she was playing to very small crowds, she was beyond thankful for the spot.

"She was big fans of ours before we met her. She was so grateful to be playing with us, 'cause she loved us so much," singer Justin Tranter said. "She was like, 'I've never seen so many people! Thank you so much for letting me open.' It's obviously a little different now. Them tables have turned! [Back then,] it was still the most awesome thing we'd ever seen. It's still the most awesome show we ever saw. She's always been the coolest girl!"

New European dates for Monster Ball Tour:

»May 7 - Stockholm, Sweden @ Globe Arena
»May 10 - Hamburg, Germany @ Color Line Arena
»May 11 - Berlin, Germany @ O2 Arena
»May 15 - Arnhem, Netherlands @ Gelredome

Jay Leno Returns To 'The Tonight Show'

"There's no place like home ... there's no place like home" was the mantra heard as a sepia-hued Jay Leno woke up in a farmhouse surrounded by several friends, including "The Tonight Show" bandleader Kevin Eubanks and Ross "The Intern" Matthews. The host fruitlessly attempted to recount stories from a faraway land but was quickly informed that he was simply suffering from a serious head injury.

"He took quite a hit," Matthews assessed, "but he's going to be just fine."

Hearkening back to the classic "The Wizard of Oz" scene, the silver-haired late-night host returned to "The Tonight Show" on Monday night (March 1), and it almost felt as if he had never left. Despite a brief mention of the watchful eyes of David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey and a quick opening quip at NBC's expense -- "I'm Jay Leno, your host ... at least for a while!" -- Leno barely acknowledged his brief absence from the hosting gig and the controversy surrounding former host Conan O'Brien's unceremonious departure.

Instead, Leno focused his opening monologue on current events, including the Olympics, the financial climate, airline security, Toyota's safety woes and Tiger Woods' marital issues. He also unveiled several new bits such as "How Boring Is Alan Greenspan," "The World's Tightest Pants" and "The Great Desk Search," where the host went door-to-door throughout Burbank, California, alongside surprise guests Adam Carolla and Randy Jackson in search of a new desk for his late-night return.

The award for most enthusiastic participant easily went to Academy Award-winning actor and musician Jamie Foxx. As Leno's first guest, Foxx rushed out to the audience, led the crowd in a "welcome back" chant and sprayed a bottle of champagne all over the studio. Foxx spoke with the host about his daughter's recent 16th birthday party, flirting with Kirstie Alley on "Oprah" and his first car. He also reminisced over his recent victory at the Grammy Awards for "Blame It on the Alcohol," excitedly recounting the evening and spilling his mug of water in the process.

"Why don't you take an Ambien and we'll go to commercial," Leno joked at his energetic guest's expense.

Leno's second guest was Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, a more subdued but no less enthusiastic presence than Foxx. The alpine ski racer arrived to loud chants of "USA, USA, USA" and proceeded to show off her recently earned gold medal to both Foxx and Leno. "I'm so thankful it worked out," she said of her victory. "You only get one shot to get these medals."

Vonn told Leno that she plans to take a red-eye flight to Switzerland following the show for another skiing competition in two days.

Musical guest Brad Paisley closed out Leno's "Tonight Show" return with his performance of the title track from his recent album American Saturday Night. In the show's closing moments, Leno offered a very brief thank you and wished Jimmy Fallon a happy anniversary, as tonight marks one year since the former "Saturday Night Live" comedian assumed O'Brien's role as the host of "Late Night."

NEW YORKSoulja Boy Tell'em has vowed to prove himself as an MC on his next album, The DeAndre Way.

For the effort, the rapper has already said he wants Jay-Z and Eminem onboard. So far, he's been in the studio with Kanye West, and Soulja said 'Ye was impressed with his upgraded material.

"When I was in the studio, I played him a couple of joints, and then he just said, 'Damn, he's really starting to go hard,' " Soulja Boy told MTV News on the red carpet of BET's "Rip the Runway." "And I was like, 'Yeah, you feel me?' ... Out of all the artists to get the go-ahead or the co-sign from, it was Kanye."

Recently, Soulja Boy and West have been collaborating on material for 'Ye's next album. West requested the teen sensation to help produce tracks for him.

Soulja Boy spoke to MTV News late last year, after he created three tracks "back-to-back-to-back" for West, and said the sessions were beneficial to both musicians.

"Me working with him, collaborating on different beats," he said of working with West. "Him showing me a lot of stuff I didn't know. Me showing him a lot of stuff he didn't know. He had an ear for my sound. Of course I had an ear for all the stuff he did. Genius! You know what I mean?"

Trina Talks Leaked 'Personal' Photos

'I'm actually having it looked into by the FBI,' Miami MC says of the situation.
By Jayson Rodriguez

Trina was the victim of theft recently, as the Diamond Princess' cell phone was stolen and personal pictures she snapped on the device, including nude images, were leaked online.

The Miami rapper told MTV News on Monday (March 1) that her phone was taken during the BET Hip-Hop Awards in October and the criminal has attempted to shake her down for hush money.

"[The images are] me on a very upset day — I think I was in Canada, upset crying," she explained. "Just personal stuff. Photos in the studio. I think [one] was me having an allergic reaction, breaking out. I just think it was my personal stuff and for someone to do that is so, so wrong. So now I'm actually having it looked into by the FBI and it's gonna be a bigger situation than just leaked photos. Hopefully we can deal with the situation and put an end to it."

Trina admitted she took some racy photos of herself, however all the images that appeared on various sites aren't from her phone. The rapper said whoever stole the images also placed some photos that are not her in an attempt to sensationalize the set. In addition to a few of the nude images, Trina said some of the photos are clean images of her at birthday celebrations, her with friends and an image of her fresh from a facial.

The set also contains several of Trina holding up her arm, which appears to have a rash of some sort, and she explained those pictures were taken in order to show her doctor — the rapper broke out but wasn't sure what was causing the ailment.

"I don't recall being allergic to anything, but obviously, yeah [I am]," she said. "I was in the studio recording for a couple of days and just started having breakouts. And my doctor said you're allergic to shellfish or makeup bronzer."

Her doctor, she said, diagnosed her with Urticaria, which essentially is hives and has since gone away.

Trina's leaked nude photos follow similar situations that Rihanna and Cassie had to deal with last year.

Experts warn to think twice before taking private images on mobile devices, which can easily be lost and subject to strangers digging into your private material.

'Dancing With The Stars' 2010 Lineup Revealed

For "Dancing With the Stars" fans, only Christmas comes close to the excitement surrounding this very day, the one in which new names are officially unveiled for the new season. Now, the all-new cast of celebrities has been announced — and when its 10th season kicks off March 22, everyone from the infamous to the athletic to the iconic will be hitting the dance floor.

On Monday night (March 1), ABC announced the new contestants during "The Bachelor." Read on for a breakdown of which big names will be making their ballroom-dancing debut and fox-trotting into your living room.

Pamela Anderson
The veteran actress/ model/ Borat abduction target, 42, will soon be adding competitive dancing to her résumé. Rumors of America's favorite Canadian lifeguard joining the cast have been swirling around the Internet for quite sometime, but now that it has been confirmed, we can all breathe easy and start explore a different topic: how Pam will keep her balance on the dance floor considering her famously oversized, ahem, assets.

Nicole Scherzinger
Best known as the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, the 31-year-old Scherzinger would seem to have a natural advantage on "DWTS" due to her extensive singing/dancing work. Now that her bandmates are moving on and she's strapping on her dancing shoes, could this indicate that the Pussycat Dolls have made their last meow?

Kate Gosselin
The newly divorced reality star and mother of eight, Kate, 34, has fueled so many tabloid reports that she's as recognizable to supermarket shoppers as Aunt Jemima. Now, she'll be talked about for her dancing skills or — according to her — lack thereof. Will Jon be doing some heavy-duty babysitting on his own this season?

Chad Ochocinco
Every class needs a football player, and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco will soon be using his soft hands to cradle a dancing partner rather than a pigskin. Ochocinco joins the fast-growing ranks of NFL players who have competed in the dancing competition, including Warren Sapp and Jerry Rice. Born Chad Johnson, the colorful player legally changed his name to the Spanish words for "eight" and "five," and recently announced he'd be changing it again to the Japanese words — so, get ready for Chad Hachi Go. Let's just hope there's a lot of room for name inscribing on that mirror-ball trophy.

Shannen Doherty
Like former co-stars Jennie Garth and Ian Ziering before her, "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum Shannen Doherty, 38, will be leaving West Bev in the dust for "Dancing With the Stars." The former Brenda Walsh spoke out publicly in 2007 against going on such shows, setting her up perfectly to continue a career-long tradition of rocking the boat. In semi-related news, Brian Austin Green continues to wait by the phone wearing a leotard and tap shoes.

Evan Lysacek
At the just-concluded Winter Olympics, this 24-year-old figure skater took home the gold; now, he'll be trying to duplicate that success on the dance floor. Trading in his skates for dance shoes, Lysacek won't be able to move quite as fast without the ice beneath him — but hey, at least he'll be warmer.

Erin Andrews
Long beloved by sports fans for her brains, beauty and sideline-reporting skills, Andrews has spent her recent days making TV commercials and dealing with a bizarre peeping-Tom video. Forget about dancing — it will be weird just to see her without a microphone in her hand.

Buzz Aldrin
The original moonwalker, Aldrin was on the historic Apollo 11 mission and accompanied Neil Armstrong as they set foot on the moon. Now, he's 80 years old and still active enough to think he can teach those other "DWTS" whippersnappers a thing or two. Something tells us it's gonna take a lot more than Tang and powdered ice cream to get him through this one.

Aiden Turner
The British stud, best known for his role as Aidan Devane on "All My Children," follows in the footsteps of other ABC soap stars like Kelly Monaco and Cameron Mathison on "DWTS." A cameo in Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's "Bag It Up" music video might give the 32-year-old a leg up on the competition.

Niecy Nash
The "Reno 911" funnywoman has often branched out from acting, with her hosting duties on "Clean House" and her panelist gig on "The Insider." Now, the 40-year-old comic actress will stretch her skills even further to see how she fares on the dance floor.

Jake Pavelka
It might have seemed like an odd choice to reveal the "DWTS" lineup during "The Bachelor," but then the last contestant was announced: Jake. Between his search for love and now the dancing show, ABC is really taking care of the pilot.

Nino Brown: Road to Rikers, Part Five

Seven more videos in one night — Lil Wayne was handling his business on Saturday. Early Sunday afternoon, while watching the Miami Heat take on the Orlando Magic, Weezy was taking a short break but had already mapped out his night.

The man you can find on Twitter as @liltunechi sent in another clip exclusively to MTV News before he is sentenced to prison for attempted gun possession on Tuesday and begins serving his time. In the new video, Weezy is at his Miami home laying out his Sunday night activities.

"I'm back, fresh out of the surgery," says Wayne, whose sentencing was postponed last month due to dental surgery. "If I'm talking a little funny, I'm fresh out of the surgery. If I'm talking a little funny, I'm still days from the medicines. My words may slur, but my grill's back, bi---! Still got two days left [before I go in]. I lost count. We shot seven videos last night. Tonight, we gonna eat, then go to the studio, then we gonna get some verses in and party with Stunna tonight at Liv [nightclub]. I still haven't got no [sex]. This is becoming an America alert. This is a tragedy."

In a previous online video, Wayne had addressed how his work schedule was interfering with him having sex: "You can tell I've been working hard. Sleeping alone. I've been sleeping with my clothes on."

On Sunday night at Miami's Liv nightclub, Wayne was supposed to attend yet another birthday party for the Birdman (the Cash Money CEO has been celebrating his b-day since around Valentine's Day with parties across the country). The shindig turned into a surprise farewell party for the Birdman Jr.

Wayne was presented with a cake that read "Keep Your Head Up Weezy! We Love U." Besides the Birdman — who debuted four new star tattoos on his head — Young Money artist Shanell also attended as the newest signee to Cash Money Records. Bow Wow, Mack Maine and Amber Rose were also there.

Wayne and DJ Scoob Doo are also filming the reality DVD "The Nino Brown Story Part 3." The first two installments are available at DJ Scoob Doo's Web site.

Check back with MTV News for more on Wayne's "Road to Rikers."

The-Dream And Christina Milian Welcome Baby Girl

Last week, R&B singer/songwriter The-Dream told MTV News that his baby with wife Christina Milian would be arriving over the weekend. He was almost right: Milian gave birth to daughter Violet on Friday, Milian's rep confirmed.

"It's a girl," The-Dream said excitedly last week. "Violet will be her first name. I'm not telling you the middle name; you're gonna get me in trouble."

Still, The-Dream said it's business as usual in their household. "I've been working like a regular person works in America. They have jobs whether someone's pregnant or not," he laughed.

The singer said he's finished recording his upcoming album, Love King (the title track of which recently leaked), and said the song isn't about being a ladies' man, like many believe. "On 'Love King,' I'm talking about those girls that like my music and how they're everywhere," he said. "They're the girls in church, girls in the club, in Miami — my music's everywhere. I don't mean that I have girls everywhere; it's not literal, but women do gravitate to my songs."

The-Dream is currently preparing to shoot two clips for his single: the original version, featuring Def Jam labelmate Young Jeezy, followed by a remix with Ludacris. "We're shooting the videos in two weeks," he said. "The remix to 'Love King' with Ludacris, which is crazy, it sounds like a '90s Jodeci remix, with their type of big harmonies on the hook. You'll get what I'm saying when you hear it. It's the swing."
