The Unveiling: Lil Wayne's 'The Nino Brown Story, Pt. 2' DVD

Over the Christmas break, we brought you guys some exclusive clips from DJ Scoob Doo's "The Nino Brown Story, Pt. 2." The DVD gives you the most up close and personal footage of Lil Wayne ever.

Well, since everybody has been talking about our preview on Facebook and Twitter, being the cool dudes we are, we decided to give you a little more. In this exclusive, we catch Wayne in some rare studio downtime. Instead of recording, he's talking about the ESPN show "Jim Rome Is Burning."

Wayne said he had quite the time watching Rome rail against Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin. Of course, Kiffin was the talk of the sports world when Weezy referenced him on his No Ceilings mixtape via the "Banned From TV" freestyle.

"[Rome] put what I said up [on the TV screen]: 'Smoke weed, talk sh-- like Lane Kiffin,' " Wayne tells Mack Maine in the clip. "Then he said Lane Kiffin said, 'We don't indulge in that.' Rome said, 'Little do you know, Lane, that you're gonna be sitting in some high schooler's living room and his mom is gonna call him from the back. And he's gonna come up front and he's gonna have an iPod on, and you know what he's gonna be listening to? "Smoke weed, talk sh-- like Lane Kiffin." You're gonna have to say, "We're cool with that guy you're listening to." You know what, Lane? This is a good day for you and Tennessee.' I was like, 'N---a, Jim Rome crazy!' "

In Kiffin's defense, the coach did thank Wayne on his Twitter page last year in the wake of No Ceilings: "Looking forward to another great practice today and a huge game Saturday. ... Also a huge shout to Lil Wayne for boosting our street cred!"

Sports junkie Wayne also said that when he goes away for his prison sentence next month, he wants to keep up with what's going on with the athletes and games. "I need to get that ESPN the Magazine sh-- in the bing," he tells Mack Maine.

"The Nino Brown Story, Pt. 2" hits stores January 22, but you can get it now at DJScoobDoo.com.

"It was about 5 o'clock in the morning. I was watching 'New Jack City,' " Scoob told us about how the DVD series came about. "I heard 'Cash Money Brothers,' I heard Nino Brown, I heard Tha Carter. I just shot up like, 'Ugh.' Next thing you know, I put a whole DVD together, which was 'The Nino Brown Story, Pt. 1.' I gave it to Wayne. He didn't know what it was. He just knew it was called 'Nino Brown.' That's how it was created. Now the Nino Brown story is the Lil Wayne story. We are going places with this I never imagined. The second DVD is 10 times better."

G-Unit's Lloyd Banks is being held by police in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, on assault and robbery charges after an incident involving a local promoter on Friday night. Authorities say that Banks and three others assaulted the promoter after the G-Unit member performed at Club NV in nearby Blandford late Friday night.

Sergeant Brad Finucan of the Waterloo Regional Police's Criminal Investigations branch told MTV News on Sunday (January 10) that Banks (real name: Christopher Lloyd) and three associates got into a dispute with the promoter at a local hotel over payment for performance and an appearance fee. The promoter's name was withheld by police.

The promoter alleged that early Saturday morning the lyricist and three associates — Nicklas Sloane, Shawn McGee, and Tyrell Cooper — held him in his hotel room against his will, assaulted and robbed him. All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery. The four made a video court appearance on Sunday afternoon (January 10) and are due to appear in court again early this week. They remained in police custody at press time.

At press time, a rep for G-Unit had no comment after being contacted by MTV News.

While they have performed sporadically in the United States in recent years, Banks, along with 50 Cent and G-Unit, have performed extensively outside of the country.

Banks was arrested on gun-possession charges in New York in August of 2005 after G-Unit's appearance during the Anger Management 3 tour at New York's Madison Square Garden, which ended with Young Buck shouting "F--- the police!," Buck, Banks and their entourages were traveling in a van when their vehicle was pulled over in Manhattan for allegedly running a red light. Upon inspection, two guns were found.

We think that 2010 will be the year these three ladies break through — whether it's on your radio, your television or the big screen, you will be hearing or seeing a lot more from these talented women in the next 12 months. Let us introduce you to Ke$ha, Lea Michele and Anna Kendrick.

Ke$ha
Age: 22

In 2009: Ke$ha collaborated with Diddy on the hit single "Tik Tok" and the duo ruled the airwaves.
Why She'll Be Huge in 2010: Ke$ha's sassy first single, "Tik Tok," made history by racking up the most digital downloads in one week for a female artist. Her debut album, Animal, is poised to hit the top of the charts and she is hitting the road this summer with artists like Sarah McLachlan and her idol, Emmylou Harris, on the recently re-launched Lilith Fair.
Choice Quote: "I think any girl — and hopefully guys too — can relate to the record. I talk about pretty much anything — you name it. ... I think that throughout the album, what I'm really proud of — I think every song you can tell it's me," she said about Animal. "It's all really honest, almost to a fault, and really genuine."

Lea Michele
Age: 23
Hails From: Bronx, New York
In 2009: When "Glee" debuted on Fox, Michele made everyone want to sing in the choir.
Why She'll Be Huge in 2010: The quirky comedy quickly became everyone's favorite TV show and found its leading lady in Michele, who plays the über-talented and ambitious Rachel Berry. Her ability to both act and belt out show tunes and pop songs has garnered Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Michele.
Choice Quote: "I feel like I'd be getting to work out at the gym with the best trainer in the world," she said about really wanting to get Adam Lambert on "Glee." "You want to work out with someone who's ripped and is going to train you well. That's what I think about when I think of Adam Lambert. I just think he's awesome."

Anna Kendrick

She'll be seen in the next "Twilight Saga" installment, "Eclipse," and is set to star alongside Michael Cera in the hotly anticipated "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World."
Choice quote: "I want to learn to play pool," she revealed about her life goal. "I don't want to be one of those chicks in a bar that needs her boyfriend to set up a shot for her."

Adam Lambert Is A 'Bigger Personality' Than Kris Allen, Randy Jackson Admits

'But I think they're both equally talented,' judge says of season-eight 'American Idol' finalists.

While "American Idol" has been the launching pad for a lot of singers, it's what contestants do after the season ends that separates the Kelly Clarksons from the Kevin Covaises.

With the ninth season starting Tuesday at 8 p.m., last year's contestants are officially out of the "Idol" nest and exploring their new careers. What does judge Randy Jackson think of their progress so far? He's optimistic — but he's worried runner-up Adam Lambert might have tried to tackle too much, too soon.

"Adam is a giant personality," Jackson said Friday. "He's unbelievably talented. The AMA thing, I guess, was something he wanted to do and try. An artist is really left up to their own ideas of how they want to do things."

Kris Allen, meanwhile, hasn't really been able to capitalize on the "Idol" crown with his debut album so far, but Jackson isn't giving up hope.

"[Adam is] a far bigger personality, probably, than Kris, but I think they're both equally talented," Jackson said. "Kris obviously won for a reason."

Jackson also hasn't ruled out success for a few other finalists: "You got Allison [Iraheta], she's got her record out too. I wish them all well and the best. They're all immensely talented. Danny Gokey — we had a lot of talented kids [last] season."

With those big shoes to fill, Jackson was expecting some season-eight clones at the auditions, but he was pleasantly surprised.

"You would have thought there would have been a lot more theatrical Adam Lambert or Kris Allen types that would have showed up for the auditions, but that's not what happened at all this time," he said. "Usually, whoever wins or comes in one and two, the next season of auditions, you have a lot of those kinds of people. It's almost like it was a signal to all the people at home who were like them: 'Now it's time to try out for "American Idol"!' [Laughs.] But it didn't happen like that this time, so I think we got a very interesting, unique cast that's really only unique to this season nine."

Fantasia Hopes To Inspire Others On 'Fantasia For Real'

'It's a fight and you're gonna see me fight through all of these things,' she says of returning to school.

Fantasia Barrino is working through her issues on her new VH1 reality show "Fantasia for Real," premiering Monday (January 11) at 10 p.m., and she's hoping that the show will inspire others to achieve their goals as well.

"You get to see me doing homework and sitting down with the teacher, which is, like, totally difficult," she said of her return to school. "But my reason for doing that is so every person can see that it's very important if you're in school to stay in school, and if you're not, it's very important to go back."

She explained that her decision to include those moments on the show were influenced by a need to show people that even with fame, she still wants to improve herself. She wants people to know that it's not always easy, no matter how much success others think you have amassed. "[Sometimes] they feel like, 'I can't do that, 'cause look at me' — it's not the truth," she explained. "And so I'm hoping that everyone will sit down and watch the show to see that I'm still 25 and it's hard as hell doing it and nothing comes easy. It's a fight and you're gonna see me fight through all of these things."

All of that fighting has left Fantasia in a more mature place where she is more at ease and more sure of herself. "I feel like I've grown. I've grown. I'm becoming a woman," she said. "I just don't do the same things I used to."

Jay Leno Is Leaving Prime-Time, NBC Confirms

Unclear at press time how move will effect Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon.

The great Jay Leno prime-time experiment has officially ended. After less than four months of comparatively low ratings and critical drubbing, "The Jay Leno Show" will leave its 10 p.m. slot on February 12, with Leno possibly staging a return to the same late-night spot he voluntarily gave up last year to his successor, Conan O'Brien.

NBC Universal Television Entertainment Chairman Jeff Gaspin made the announcement on Sunday (January 10) at the Television Critics Association press tour, according to the Los Angeles Times. At press time, it remained unclear how the decision would pan out, since O'Brien has a five-year contract to host "The Tonight Show," but the paper said that NBC is looking for Leno to return to his old 11:35 p.m. nightly slot when the Winter Olympics conclude at the end of February.

Though comparatively low-rated, Leno's show was performing at the expected levels for the network, Gaspin said, but "it did not meet our affiliates' needs." Those affiliates had been grumbling for months that the sub-par numbers for Leno's show — which took up an unprecedented five hours a week of important prime-time programming slots — were hurting their local news divisions by not providing a strong lead-in to the 11 o'clock broadcasts, thereby costing them precious ad dollars. Some affiliates had even begun a move to push Leno's program back an hour to 11 p.m. and push local news to 10 p.m. in order to reverse the ratings trend.

"This was not going to go well if that was the case," Gaspin said about the threatened schedule move from some affiliates. NBC's audience has dropped about 30 percent since the new Leno show debuted and the negative impact on the local affiliates had forced them to insist NBC make a move, Gaspin said.

The current plan calls for NBC to try and work on deals with Leno, O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon, with a possibility that Leno will return at 11:35 p.m., followed by O'Brien at 12:05 and Fallon at 1:05 a.m. In that scenario, O'Brien would technically keep the title of host of "The Tonight Show," though a 12:05 start time is not what he signed on for when NBC offered him the coveted "Tonight Show" gig in 2004.

"As much as I'd like to tell you we have a done deal, the talks are still going on," Gaspin said, noting that Leno is okay with the decision, while O'Brien is reportedly not yet sold on being pushed back to his old slot. Gaspin said both men have been "incredibly gracious and professional" about the situation.

Leno alluded to the difficult situation on his show on Thursday night, cracking jokes about being canceled and taking potshots at NBC. O'Brien was even more harsh on Friday night, joking, "We've got a great show for you tonight. I have no idea what time it will air, but it's gonna be a great show" and "NBC has finally come up with an exciting new idea: they want me to follow Jay Leno."
