Adam Lambert's "Time for Miracles" has already been featured on the soundtrack for "2012." But the "American Idol" runner-up is already thinking about having a song accompany another potential blockbuster: "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."

Lambert thinks "Suburban Decay," a track produced by Rob Cavallo that didn't make it onto For Your Entertainment, should find a new home on the June 2010 movie's soundtrack.

"It's a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something ... maybe 'Twilight,' " he told MTV News. "It just didn't quite fit [in my album]. It's very theatrical. ... It's very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture."

Although the vibe was all wrong for his album, it might be perfect to score the intensifying love triangle between Bella, Jacob and Edward. "Hey, 'Eclipse' ... Want my song? It's kind of about vampires," he offered, noting a verse about "bloodlust."

"Voodoo" is another song that fans heard about earlier this year but didn't make the cut for Lambert's major-label debut. "Again because we only had so many tracks — that's one I do wish we got on the album," he said. "But I didn't want to get rid of any of the other ones. I believe in all the songs. It's real sexy, kind of vibey dark disco ... more industrial."

"N---as playing 'Madden' right now," he said in his West Coast lair while talking about his latest street CD, I Wanna Rock. "The mixtape is banging. I need to get my mixtape on 'Madden 10' next time."

Snoop is doubling up in December. He's giving a free doggy bag of music with his new mixtape (hosted and mixed by DJs Skee, Whoo Kid and Scream) that just dropped, and on December 8, he's putting out Malice N Wonderland, an official LP.

" 'I Wanna Rock,' this sh-- right here is banging," Snoop said of the tape's title track. "It's smoking. Produced by my homie Scoop DeVille. Snoop Dogg acting a fool on this one. It's at about 100 spins already [on radio]. Then we have 'Upside Down' — Snoop featuring Problem and Nipsey Hussle. Two west-side riders from the West Coast. Lil Wayne Recruits Eminem For Rebirth Song 'Drop The World'

Way back in October 2007, Lil Wayne told Mixtape Monday he had the perfect track for him and Eminem to get down on. At the time, Slim Shady was on hiatus from music.

But now, with an album already released this year and in the midst of completing another one, Em and Wayne have finally gotten together for a song. Sure, they both had verses on this year's "Forever," but that was a Drake track, and Wayne has said that he wanted Em on his own album.

According to Wayne's management, the new Weezy/Em song is called "Drop the World" and will be included on Rebirth, which is now due December 21, the same day as We Are Young Money, the family album from Wayne's Young Money artists. Also on December 21, Em will re-release Relapse, subtitled The Refill, and Relapse 2 is due sometime next year.

Amazon UK posted a track list for Rebirth on Monday (November 30), but Wayne's label would not confirm the lineup. That track list also includes collabos with Nicki Minaj, Kevin Rudolf and Shanell.

Earlier this year, Em told radio personality Angela Yee he was definitely all for a collabo with Weezy F. Baby.

"There hasn't really necessarily been a time for me to go to collaborate and sh-- lately, because I been so locked down in the studio," Eminem said. "But I'm open for whatever. There's a lot of rappers in the game I respect, especially right now."

Death Cab For Cutie Enjoy Their 'New Moon' Fame At The Woodie Awards

'I don't think we've ever done anything like this,' guitarist Chris Walla says of the band's inclusion on the blockbuster soundtrack.

Though they didn't walk away with any slabs of timber under their arms, it could be argued that Death Cab for Cutie were the all-stars of the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards. The awards show that celebrates independent music of all types welcomed back a true rags-to-riches story in the quartet, who toiled tirelessly on the margins for years before graduating to arena-rock size and scope. They delivered the evening's centerpiece performance, a run-through of their current single "Meet Me on the Equinox," which has garnered the band quite a bit of attention as it's on the soundtrack to current box-office juggernaut "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

In fact, the band's newfound vampire-assisted success is just another twist in what has been a career full of unusual turns. "I don't think we've ever done anything like this, where it's a real dynamic, changing thing," explained guitarist and resident "Twilight" fan Chris Walla. "I love it. I was at the premiere two nights ago and it was great. The movie is awesome." Walla even approves of the film's campier aspects. "There are a lot of shirtless dudes," he admits. "When the shirtless-dude factor happens, it seems a little wink-wink, nudge-nudge. But it's a high beefcake quotient — an HBQ."

Death Cab for Cutie's stunning (and fully shirted) rendition of "Meet Me on the Equinox" — as well as other jaw-dropping performances from Matt and Kim, the Dead Weather, Passion Pit and the Clipse — can only be seen on the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards, which air this Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU.

Kid Cudi Talks Lady Gaga Tour

'I know I'll get a lot of new fans just off touring with her,' Cudi says.

Opening for Lady Gaga is a dream gig for almost any artist — but the trouble is, once you get it, how on Earth do you come up with a set that can compare with hers? That's the problem opening act Kid Cudi was struggling with when we caught up with him last month before Gaga's Monster Ball Tour, which launched Friday night in Montreal.

"It's like, man, you know Gaga's gonna do the ill stage setup and mine's gonna suck. It's gonna be me and this DJ, and I'll be like, 'Alright, play the next song ... this is on my album.' I'm gonna be dodging Gaga's equipment and stuff," Cudi laughed before continuing more seriously. "Nah, it's gonna be good, man. I've been working on something just to step my game up from the last tour I did with Asher [Roth]. We've been brainstorming, coming up with some good ideas. Of course, mine won't be as elaborate as Gaga's, but I'm kind of on this tour as a fan, you know, I'm just along for the ride ... playing my part."

Cudi found himself on the tour after Kanye West cancelled his planned "Fame Kills" co-headlining tour with Gaga early last month. Cudi was a bit surprised to get the call to open Gaga's rescheduled tour.

"It was a couple of weeks ago, actually. I got the call, and at first I just had to see if it was going to fit," he said. "I wanted to take a lot of time off for my family, just kind of hang with them. It worked out in a timely fashion, I'll still be able to put in the family time after the tour, I got a lot of time off after that. So it's good thing, and it will make more people aware of my album. I know I'll get a lot of new fans just off touring with her."

So far, so good — Gaga even brought Cudi out on opening night to collaborate on "Poker Face/ Make Her Say."

Nelly Says 'Doubt' Fueled His New Album

'I work best with two strikes, two outs,' MC says of working on his follow-up to 2008's Brass Knuckles.

NEW YORK — After the lukewarm reception Nelly received on the albums Sweat and Suit (two albums released on the same day in 2004) and the follow-up Brass Knuckles, the hip-hop Mayor of St. Louis has been back in the studio focusing on sounding better than ever.

"The thing is, I work best with two strikes, two outs," Nelly said recently. "I really think I do. As an artist, you want to wake up every day and feel like you're doing something people don't think you can do. Now I feel like I've been put in that position again, where it's more doubt than expectancy. The doubt is what fuels me, so to speak. I've been real fortunate where I have great people around me. Everybody wants to freakin' work with me — not that everybody didn't [before], but it's different because I didn't work with a lot of people. Coming into this situation, it's beautiful."

Nelly worked with producers Play-N-Skillz on a track called "Angel Eyes," a record that samples Kim Carnes' classic "Bette Davis Eyes." Mr. Pimp Juice also says he has some samples of jazz great Miles Jaye as well as Notorious B.I.G. on a track called "Thousand Stacks." Diddy, Jim Jonsin and Rico Love also produced on the album.

"In the booth right now, it's kind of different," he said about his guest stars. "I got Sean Paul, Akon ... as far as the rappers go, Plies. Me and Jeezy talking about some things now. I'm not finished, but I'm a good portion on the way."

Nelly's album is still untitled.

Beans also updates Mixtape Daily on working with 50 Cent and possibly joining G-Unit.

The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive
Who's wrong and who's right in the unfortunate saga of Beanie Sigel vs. Jay-Z? That's between those two gentlemen. We hate to see them at odds, but we will thank the Roc and State Property for giving us some of the best music in the last 10 years. Backstage at the Highline Ballroom last week for the 50 Cent concert, Beanie told MTV News that he's telling a story about Jay with his dis records.

"I couldn't tell you that," he said of his ultimate plan. "I'd be defeating the purpose on what I was doing if I tell people what's my strategy, what my plan is gonna be. But then again, I could tell you what's my strategy, my plans, because you can't stop it. It was willed already. This moment right here is a defining moment. ... What I'm about to do is set a timeline to show people in my music where this at. This is not nothing new. Now it's time to go back to those albums that people overlooked or didn't get an opportunity to really grasp and hold on to 'em because there was that wall in front of it. And when I go back and start to pick out the music like, 'When I said this, this what I was talking about,' for this moment that's here today right now."

As far as joining the G-Unit, Sigel isn't an official member yet. They're still in talks about a deal.

"We're gonna figure that out," the Broad Street Bully said.

Deal or no deal, Beans is still making songs, saying that his goal is "just to put out good music like I always did, just without interference. ... Just me being able to do what I'm capable of doing, what I did my whole career, without just, you know, the blockage of people stopping my music and my product from going to the heights it should go and it's capable of going."

And he promised that his songs are going to be as intense as ever.

"Because the world is aggressive," he said. "Everything that's out is aggressive, you know what I mean? Even if you look at what people would say [about] the recession — 'It came so aggressively,' you know what I mean? Everybody gotta move and be aggressive, and even in just a work space by being able to hold down your job you gotta go extra hard with everything, so that's just what I do. My music reflects what's going on today."

Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Yo Gotti are among the rappers the Philadelphia street lord wants to work with on his next LP. Obviously, 50 Cent also looks like he's going to be in the mix.

"Well, actually, we haven't had the chance to sit down and get in the studio together," Sigel said. "We did do a record. We got a record, that 'I Go Off' record, but that was just a record that I had just sitting around and it ain't have no hook. ... I played him some music and he liked it, and in between doing all this press and everything he was doing, when he heard the record — that same day — he got on and laid the hook. As soon as he heard it."

Chris Brown has been doing a lot of explaining lately, but on Saturday he called into DJ Whoo Kid's show on Shade 45 satellite radio to dispel reports that he's been taking shots at Jay-Z.

"My Twitter ain't get hacked," Brown told DJ Whoo Kid about a quickly picked-up post in which the singer appeared to refer to Jigga as a "cornball" during the American Music Awards on November 22 (the tweet was quickly taken down). "People blew [it] out of proportion. ... I was also commenting on certain things that was going on on the AMAs. I was tweeting randomly about what was going on ... so, the homies was at the house and everybody was like, 'He's making an excuse.' All I twittered, I said, 'cornball' — I wasn't talking about homie at all," Brown explained.

"But the funny thing is, my homies was rapping and [I was like], 'Ya'll are just corny,' and so I just typed it in, and at that moment I started seeing the comments: 'Oh, you talkin' about Jay?' I was like, 'Hell naw, what you mean?' I said let me delete this before this be another story. I don't need no more problems right now, I don't need no more people cussing me out."

Brown clarified that he has no beef with Jay — who happens to be Rihanna's longtime mentor. "I've never really talked to homie," he said. "Ain't no beefs. I just get my money, [he] get his."

During the interview, Brown also confirmed that in addition to the 13-track Graffiti that drops on December 8, an 18-track deluxe version will be released on the same day.

Clipse Open Up About New LP, Til the Casket Drops

Duo explain the stories behind several tracks on album, which drops December 8.
By Shaheem Reid

NEW YORK — The Clipse's new LP, Til the Casket Drops, is finally coming out next week, and all the brother-duo can do is smile.

"I was just vibing out to it," Malice said of the album recently. "I don't [usually] listen to [the album]: I do it, I lay it down, I wait for it to get ready, then I go back and absorb it. I feel sorry for a lot of cats. We got that album right now."

Malice said it was "unfair" to ask him what his favorite song from the LP, was but he did list a few he was partial to; "I like 'Champion,' '[Popular Demand] (Popeye's)' 'Showing Out,' and 'Door Man' is incredible."

The Clipse recently released the video for "Door Man," which they shot in Virginia.

"[That's a] real crazy track," Malice continued. "It's everything you want to see, how life is at home for us: getting money, the 'hood and your homies. We lost a lot of family, so ... When I say 'family,' I mean people that were down with us, people near and dear to our hearts. Entourage. People who helped build this whole Clipse thing. We been through a lot, but we're still celebrating — remembering how everything was, how it was supposed to be."

"It's almost like 'America Undercover,' " Pusha explained of the clip. "We have that 'America Undercover' feel, that type of documentary style."

Meanwhile, Push says his favorite record is undoubtedly "Freedom."

" 'Freedom' is a redemption song," he said. "It's an apology, it gives a rhyme and reason for some of the things and some of the attitudes of the Clipse. It says 'sorry' just as much as it says we're better [than other rappers], and we're still the best ... ever."

Both Clipse members maintain that their mistakes are deeper than rap.

"Nothing musically," Pusha answered about what they're apologizing for in "Freedom." "This is our lives. This music has affected a lot of people and lot of lives around us. Once we get from in front of the camera, there's a whole world out there that we're a part of: family, friends, streets. It's a lot that goes on and a lot that goes on behind this."

"A lot of sacrifices have been made behind this music," Malice offered.

"Yeah, that's the word: sacrifice," Pusha added with a laugh. "That was a good word."

"The music drove me crazy," Pusha raps on the track, which was produced by Sean C and LV. "I'm only finding comfort in knowing you can't replace me/ What a thing to say/ But what am I to do/ I'm role playing the conscious n---a/ And true is true."

Sean C and LV also produced "Never Will It Stop" where the Clipse spin tales of stacking money and ciphering off bricks of powder. DJ Khalil brings a reggae flavor track to the snitch-admonishing "There Was a Murder." The Neptunes produced "Life Change," which features Kenna and also talks about redemption.

"I was wretched pitiful, poor blind and naked," raps Malice, who also describes himself as a troubled soul with heartache in the song. "So much so, I left my family forsaken/ ... So much dough, but my spirit ever so vacant."

Later, he rhymes about changing his life and raising a family of four. "I'm back on board due to the Lord's GPS," he continues before offering positive hope for the youth.

Casket, which also includes the Kanye West-featured single "Kinda Like a Big Deal," comes out on December 8, along with albums from Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg and B.G.

"Amazing," Pusha said about being released on a hip-hop-heavy week. "We're in good company. Let's keep all the traffic coming! I believe if you going in [the store], you're gonna have more than just $10 to spend. You might have $50. We're gonna get one of them [purchases]."
