Hey Captain America fans! If you have plans tonight, cancel them! MTV News is proud to present another exclusive "MTV First," with none other than the Cap himself, Chris Evans, as our special guest. At 7:56 p.m. ET, tune into MTV and MTV.com, where Evans will be on hand to present a new clip from the movie, and then stick around for a 20-minute Q&A on MTV.com, streaming immediately afterward. We'll be discussing all things Cap and answering the questions you submitted.

Among a wide range of topics, we'll talk to Evans about what it was like to put on those iconic Captain America costumes. And just to give you a little preview of what's in store, we've got a snippet here, so read on (and click the embedded video).

"I did not get to keep any of the costumes, unfortunately," Evans told us. "Because a lot of times on films you have to go back to do re-shoots, and if they don't have the suit available, we're in trouble. And no, they were not comfortable," he added.

Regarding the evolution of Cap's famous red-white-and-blue ensemble, Evans revealed that the next time we see him post-"Captain America: The First Avenger" — alongside a slew of fellow Marvel superheroes in "The Avengers" — he'll be rocking a more modern suit.

"In 'The Avengers,' the suit is much more slick, it's modern. There is a lot of range of motion and it makes those fight sequences a lot easier," Evans explained. "It looks fantastic."

For more from Evans, tune in tonight to MTV and MTV.com at 7:56 p.m. ET.

'Harry Potter' Producer 'Can't Wait To Read' J.K. Rowling's Writing

'She delivers when she's ready and that's it,' David Heyman tells MTV News about the author's next project.

When it comes to singling out the one person most responsible for the "Harry Potter" films actually getting made, author J.K. Rowling has long credited producer David Heyman for convincing her that the big screen was the right way to go.

Now, with the final movie, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," just a day from hitting theaters, Rowling can have her pick of projects. But while she has admitted to writing recently, she won't say what specifically, and her Pottermore website is still a mystery. According to Heyman, it's likely she'll try to keep it things top-secret for as long as possible.

"One of the gifts of 'Harry Potter' [success] for her, and I suppose for me in some ways, is it's bought us time. I know that when she was writing the first few 'Harry Potter,' the pressure to deliver the fourth and fifth — but particularly the fourth — on a schedule, was difficult and traumatic in some ways, and it wasn't pleasurable," Heyman told MTV News. "Now, she doesn't have that pressure. She finishes when she is ready to finish. She delivers when she's ready and that's it. She's writing and I'm sure there'll be something and I can't wait to read it."

Though Heyman played coy on whether he already knows what Rowling's next project will be, he said he would support her in whatever she ventures into. In fact, he seemed ready to follow wherever she might lead him.

"For me, I really want to be involved in adapting Jo's fiction," Heyman said. "If she does write another 'Potter' book, I will be there to work on it. It's been a fantastic thing to be a part of, a real privilege. But really, it all begins with Jo, so if it's not Jo, there's no point."

Would you like to see J.K. Rowling add another book to the "Potter" series? Tell us in the comments!

Mary J. Blige Calls Nicki Minaj Leak 'Not Fair'

'But I'm over it,' she tells MTV News of unfinished 'Feel Inside' hitting the Web.

It's especially hard nowadays to keep new music under wraps. Just ask Mary J Blige, whose purported collaboration with Nicki Minaj on a song called "Feel Inside" prematurely surfaced online a few weeks ago.

Soon after the leak, Blige's camp revealed that, while the duo are working on a track together for the singer's new album, My Life II ... The Journey Continues (dropping October 4), the song that hit the blogosphere was the result of two different studio sessions and not the real thing.

MTV News recently caught up with Blige to get her take on the leak, and she was none too pleased.

"I was pissed about the leaking of the Nicki Minaj and Mary J Blige record, because that's not fair and people shouldn't do that," she said bluntly. "But I'm over it. We move on. We're going to make more hot music."

Asked what other special guests can be expected on the forthcoming project, MJB remained coy, saying she didn't want to reveal any other featured collaborators until "maybe a month from now" to make sure everything is "etched in stone."

While Blige didn't dish too many details about her and Minaj's collabo, songwriter Andrea Martin (Melanie Fiona, Leona Lewis), the woman who penned the tune, did offer some insight into the Harajuku Barbie-assisted track.

"It was a surprise to know that Nicki Minaj jumped on the song and nobody wanted to tell me. I was like 'What's going on? What's going on?' " Martin told MTV News. "It's just such a great thing. I've always wanted to work with Mary J. Blige, and I finally got the chance to, and it was a good time for me to prove myself that I can write songs for you, baby."

For fans who are still waiting for the finalized collabo to surface, they'll be happy to hear that the song is tentatively scheduled to be one of the project's first singles, with MJB's camp already scouting a video director for the song.

As for whether Martin felt any pressure to deliver material for the sequel to the singer's 1994 breakthrough My Life LP, the songwriter simply said Blige "knows what she wants."

Are you excited about Mary and Nicki's upcoming collabo? Tell us in the comments!

Cali Swag District Recall Last Moments With M-Bone

Cali Swag District just dropped their new album, The Kickback, on Tuesday, following the success of their massive hit "Teach Me How to Dougie." But the accomplishment is bittersweet since it arrived nearly two months after the murder of Mante "M-Bone" Talbert.

The remaining members of the group — Yung, C-Smoove and JayAre — hit MTV News' "Rap Fix Live" on Wednesday (July 13) and, after refuting rumors that they were involved in M-Bone's death, talked about the last time they each spoke to their late friend.

"We was talking about shoes. I just bought the Cool Greys, the Jordans," Yung said of his last conversation with M-Bone. "He was like, 'Man, I can't find those nowhere, let me buy them from you.' And I just had bought 'em, and I was like, 'Nah.' And [then], I was like, 'You know what? I don't even want them.' But then I was like, 'No, but I do.' And then he was like, 'Fine, I'm just going to go buy them myself.' So what he did was he went to the store and he bought them and he took a picture of them [and sent it to all of us]. I was like, 'It's all good, though. We all got them, so we a team, you feel me?' I used to tell him that all the time, I used to be like, 'Yo, we a team, B.' "

JayAre was playing a video game with his fallen friend the last he saw him alive. "I think the last time we talked, we was playing [NBA 2K11] or something," JayAre said. "I always got the Lakers, he played with the Heat. He was a Heat fan. I think he won that game that time."

C-Smoove said, "Last time I talked to Bone, he was like, 'Hey, is Kickback jumping?' I'm like, 'Yeah, man, we up here.' He was like, 'I'm on my way.' Came to the studio; he came comfortable man — basketball shorts, little Heat jacket, some Nikes or something — he wasn't even trying to impress nobody. He was just up there chilling in his little giddy-up. He just woke up, drove to the studio. We was just chilling.

"And that's right before he went to the store, man," Smoove recalled. M-Bone was shot in his car on La Brea Avenue, not far from the Inglewood, California, spot Airport Liquor and Groceries. "That was the last time I talked to him."

Smoove's comment sparked a particularly fond memory for another member of the group. "I remember that whole day too," Yung said. "I remember we all was at Smoove's house for his birthday. [M-Bone] pulled up on the side. We all sitting in the cars and stuff, we got girls out there, 'cause we always got girls somewhere. It's like 20 people, [and] like 19 of them was girls. So we out there, and Bone, he wasn't there. And he just pulled up in his Camaro and he was like, 'What's going on here?!' I was like, 'Don't worry about it; either you with us or you ain't.' And he was like, 'I'm with you.' So he parked and hopped in the car and then he was with us."

M-Bone's murder remains unsolved.

Ice Cube: 'Boyz N The Hood' Still 'As Potent' 20 Years Later

'We felt like we was teaching America about a part of itself that they don't see,' Cube tells 'RapFix Live.'

"Either they don't know, don't show, or don't care about what's going on in the 'hood."

In that line lays the crux of John Singleton's 1991 film "Boyz N the Hood." Delivered by Ice Cube's character, Doughboy, those words ring as true today, 20 years later, as they did when the film first hit theaters. Released on July 12 of that year, "Boyz N the Hood" was a gritty, cinematic depiction of the lives of three young African-American men growing up in inner-city Los Angeles. On Wednesday's (July 13) "RapFix Live," Ice Cube broke down the cultural significance of the film that launched his acting career.

"When we first did the movie 'Boyz N the Hood,' we felt like we was teaching America about a part of itself that they don't see," he explained. "We was teaching you about people like Doughboy and why he is the way he is."

But while Cube's Doughboy was an unapologetic gangster who couldn't see a way out of the 'hood and the gang culture that consumed him, his half-brother Ricky Baker (Morris Chestnut) used football as a means to earn a college scholarship that might ultimately take him out of the ghetto. Their friend Tre, played by Cuba Gooding Jr., struggled to balance the life lessons that his father (Laurence Fishburne) passed onto him with the reality of the streets. And for Cube, the circumstances addressed in the movie still ring true after two decades.

"The movie holds up. The movie had been used as a tool to teach people about the 'hood that they may not know about," he said. "I think the movie is a definite classic, it definitely holds up, it's definitely as potent today as it was back then. The message is definitely as clear today and needed as it was back then."

50 Cent Shoots Down Lloyd Banks Label Rumors

Posted: 13 Jul 2011 05:37 AM PDT

'They're like $80 million in the hole,' Fif jokes to MTV News about Def Jam.
By Rob Markman, with reporting by James Smith

50 Cent

When 50 Cent signed G-Unit artists Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo over to EMI, the plan was to set up his longtime Queens, New York, cohorts as artists who could work independently, without his help.

Fif told MTV News that Banks' The Hunger for More 2, which was released last November, was the project that set the trend. "Banks' project is the beginning of them flying solo, flying without my assistance so much," 50 said on the Atlanta set of Tony Yayo's upcoming "Haters" video.

In the past, Fif lent his guidance as well as his voice to his artists' albums. Back in 2004, the G-Unit General appeared alongside Banks on "On Fire," the first single from the Punch Line King's platinum debut. He did the same with Yayo's first single, "So Seductive," the following year. "Like on all their other albums and singles, I was featured on their projects to help bring attention to it and get 'em off into the right space," he said. "This go-around is, like, for them to go away from me and do it on their own. They're setting up shop on their own on this project."

It's been reported that Banks' and Yayo's EMI deal is structured much like an indie. Even though EMI is a major distributor, G-Unit has taken the reins when it comes to positioning both rappers in the marketplace. Even though 50 has championed G-Unit's independence, speculation has swirled about whether Banks would sign to Def Jam where former G-Unit president Sha Money XL now resides as the Senior VP of A&R.

50, without saying it directly, shot down the notion of a Def Jam deal, citing the label's supposed-financial woes. Recently, the legendary rap label has gone through a bit of restructuring with former head honcho L.A. Reid leaving and Barry Weiss stepping in as chairman and CEO. Regardless, Fif doesn't seem too optimistic for a future at the label.

"Well, Def Jam, I'm not even sure what that system — that system is not in a good space right now. They're like $80 million in the hole," he said, before laughing, "Don't tell them I told you."

Lil Wayne's Sorry 4 The Wait Makes Up For Lost Time

Mixtape Daily looks at Weezy's new offering, which includes his take on everything from 'Racks' to 'Rolling in the Deep.'

Mixtape Daily Special Delivery

Headliner: Lil Wayne

Tape: Sorry 4 the Wait

Real Spit: For Lil Wayne, sorry is more than just a five letter word. Weezy's apologies now come in the form of 12-track mixtapes. Tha Carter IV's numerous pushbacks may have ticked off fans, so to make up for it, Tunechi offered up Sorry 4 the Wait, a free Internet download.

Swiping beats from today's most popular rap tracks, Weezy starts off bragging and boasting on "Tunechi's Back," his take on Meek Mill and Rick Ross' Tupac ode. Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci" gets reworked as well. During the song's intro, Wayne places the blame on his manager Cortez Bryant, screaming, "Sorry for the wait, yeah Tez pushed the album back, man. Sorry!"

With the disclaimer out of the way, Wayne spits nothing nice over the bouncy beat, weaving free-associative rhymes about promiscuous women, drugs and guns. One of the song's better gun-busting, cocaine lines comes when Wayne raps, "Tunechi, Tunechi tote the tooly, f--- around and pop ya/ My homeys got that white girl, call it Lady Gaga."

The Young Money boss breathes new life into YC's "Racks," no small feat considering the track has already been redone by about two dozen different rap acts so far. Still, Wayne makes it his own with unforgettable lines like, "I can't f--- with ho n----s, I can't trust these ho's either/ Wake up early in the morning eat that p---y like cold pizza."

Most of Sorry's tracks are upbeat and aggressive, but Wayne does manage to slow it down on "Marvin's Room," a retread of Drake's track by the same name. "Sure Thing" comes next, and while it is less romantic than "Marvin's Room," Wayne still manages to make lyrics about taking pain pills for dinner sound smooth.

Perhaps what's most impressive is Birdman Jr.'s flip of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." The pounding drums and steady rhythm is the perfect backdrop for Wayne's free-wheeling thought process. There are no deep meanings, no revelations or sophisticated musings, just lyrics about Wayne's greatness sprinkled with references to ecstasy and ED medications: "Young Money, mother----er, yeah we that sh--/ Yeah Weezy go hard like Cialis / Don't love that bi---, I f--- that ho/ She pop X, I smoke Os, tic-tac-toe."

Sorry 4 the Wait should hold folks over until Tha Carter IV's August 29 release date (barring any more delays). Judging by the early response to this release, however, fans probably wouldn't mind a second apology.

Blink-182 'Stoked' For Fans To Hear 'Up All Night'

Mark Hoppus emails MTV News days before the premiere of much-anticipated new single.

Two years ago, Blink-182 told MTV News they wouldn't be playing "Up All Night" during their reunion tour mostly because, well, they hadn't finished recording it yet.

"We really don't want the first time that people hear our new song to be a YouTube version of us playing it live," Mark Hoppus said at the time. "We want it to be the actual song, and we haven't gotten the chance to finish it yet, so we'll probably leave it out of the set until we actually release it."

Of course, for a while there, it looked like that release date would never come. But on Tuesday night, much to the delight of Blink fans everywhere, the band announced that "Up All Night" would finally, totally, officially make its premiere Friday at 10:30 a.m. on Los Angeles radio station KROQ and Blink182.com.

If you think you're excited, well, you can imagine how the guys in Blink must be feeling. After all, the debut of "Up All Night" has been a long time coming. And, as Hoppus told MTV News in an email Wednesday (July 13), they can't wait to finally give fans a listen to what they've been up to all this time.

"We're all so stoked to finally have music out that people can listen to. I think I'm probably more excited than anyone else in the world for the new single," Hoppus wrote. " 'Up All Night' contains elements of everything we've done in Blink-182, and pushes further than we've gone before. Can't wait for everyone to check it out."

Blink will hit the road along with My Chemical Romance on August 5 as part of the 2011 Honda Civic Tour — and yes, they'll be playing songs from their upcoming album. And bringing lasers too.

"I just want lasers. That's what I said last time, though, so we'll see," Tom DeLonge told MTV News in May. "I'm excited [because] I think on this next tour we're going to be able to have a lot more options of what we can do, because the music is going to afford a little more latitude, just because we've been doing some really cool stuff and different stuff with the new record. So I'm really excited to bring that out."

Tom Felton 'Grateful' He Wasn't Cast As Harry Potter

With the "Harry Potter" film series ending this Friday, it's hard to imagine actors other than Daniel Radcliffe or Rupert Grint playing the roles of Harry Potter or Ron Weasley.

Tom Felton, best known as Draco Malfoy in the films, says that very easily could have been the case, though. He apparently originally auditioned for the role of Harry and then went on to try out for Ron before finally landing the role of Draco. He admitted to MTV News that he would have been a "very different individual" had he been cast as either of the other two characters originally.

"I'm very grateful I am in the film at all, but even more grateful that I got the character of Draco," Felton said. "I think Rupert and Dan, there's no question in my mind, there's no one else in the world that, A) could have played the character better, but B) could have handled the behind-the-scenes pressure those guys have dealt with over the last decade."

Felton said there was never any sense of jealousy or rivalry on the set of "Harry Potter" after he, Radcliffe, Grint and the rest of the ensemble were finally cast in the roles they would hold for more than a decade. Instead, the crew became a family.

"There was a great sense of kind of being on a team, and Daniel kind of flew that flag from day one," Felton explained. "He was always the most excited, the most eager, he had the most fun on set, and through that, I think everyone just kind of latched on to him and sort of followed his lead. So he's definitely been like the godfather over the years, and he's definitely been the one that's been the most inspirational, for sure."

Demi Lovato Calls 'Skyscraper' Her 'Cry For Help'

'That video was an emotional release for me, like therapy,' she tells E! News.
By Jocelyn Vena

Demi Lovato is feeling better these days. Her ups and downs are evident in her latest single, "Skyscraper," which she said helped her confront her issues before she landed in treatment late last fall.

She recorded two versions — one last year during her darker days and one after she left treatment — but, she told E! News, "It just didn't feel the same, so we kept the original one. For me it was ... so symbolic, it being the song I recorded before treatment and yet it was providing a message. It's so crazy the way things played out, that it ended up being my symbol and it represented what I'm trying to spread the word about: getting help and rising above any issues that [I and] my fans are dealing with."

As emotionally draining as it was to record the track, she said it also hurt her physically to be in the studio working on it. "I was doubled over, just in pain. I remember thinking, 'This is kind of my cry for help' back then, because I hadn't spoken to anyone about these issues," she said in the interview with Ryan Seacrest. "And I hadn't gotten the help that I needed."

Those emotions are also touched on in the video, which will be released this week. "That video was an emotional release for me, like therapy. ... I kept crying, I was so emotionally invested. ... That's when I realized, that's what music videos are all about.

"There were so many things that represented my addictions and eating disorders and self-harm," she added about the video. "When I'm unraveling this black fabric ... it was the toxicity that took over my mind for so long, that oozed out of every pore that I had because I was suffering inside. ... I'm taking it off and walking on broken glass and powering through it."

Lovato is very open about the fact that, while she isn't hurting herself anymore, she still isn't 100 percent. "I'm not going to be perfect, but ... if I can make it through the day, that's all that matters," she said. "It's a daily journey, and it's definitely going to be a struggle that I'll have to deal with for the rest of my life."

Rupert Grint's Post-'Harry Potter' Plans: 'Counseling'

After a decade's worth of film premieres, "Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint walked the NYC red carpet for the last time for the beloved franchise on Monday night.

"This is very special because this is the last one," Grint told MTV News during the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" live stream. "This really is it. I'm going to miss not having that anymore. I'm going to miss the screaming. You don't get that everywhere, and I'm going to miss that definitely."

Though he has two big projects lined up next — a biopic called "Eddie the Eagle" and the war film "Comrade" — he admitted that he would miss playing Ron Weasley, the character he had spent half of his life with. As he said during the London premiere, the fans have "made the last 10 years the best half of my life."

While co-star Emma Watson said she'd have a post-premiere brunch to commemorate the end of the franchise, Grint seemed stumped about what he'd do after the frenzy of this premiere week. "I really don't know what I'm supposed to do," he admitted. "Counseling. Just talk it all out."

One thing Grint certainly didn't seem stressed out about, though, was losing MTV's "Harry Potter" World Cup to Alan Rickman's Severus Snape. In fact, he had previously predicted it when we caught up with him before the premiere.

"I knew it! I knew it! I agree. It's the best choice," Grint admitted.

Pitbull Says 'Give Me Everything' Offers Summer 'Escape'

Rapper says he 'loves' competing against Adele, LMFAO and others for Summer Jam crown.
By James Montgomery, with reporting by Rob Markman

Photo: MTV News

Earlier this week, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine declared the race for the 2011 Summer Jam crown all but over, calling his band's "Moves Like Jagger" single not only the summer's best song, but, really, the only song.

While we suspect he was joking, Levine could probably learn a thing or two by glancing at the Billboard Hot 100 — which features plenty of other Summer Jam contenders, including LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" and, of course, Pitbull's massive "Give Me Everything," which topped the chart last week and is already his biggest single to date.

Given the track's success, it shouldn't come as a surprise to learn that Pit considers the Summer Jam sweepstakes to be far from over — in fact, thanks to assists from Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, he likes his chances of winning the whole thing.

"You've got Ne-Yo, you've got Afrojack, you got Nayer, you got myself ... when you put that in together, it becomes a paella — which is almost like a gumbo, different seafoods," Pitbull told MTV News. "And with the records this summer, us competing against them, I love it, because that just goes to show how big 'Give Me Everything' is.

"I mean, the Adele record is an amazing record — she was #1 here for numerous weeks, and we were #1 for so many weeks in the U.K. — it's kind of like a tradeoff," he continued. "You've got LMFAO with a great record also ... guys that I have a lot of respect for, I've worked with them so many times and I congratulate them, I'm happy for those guys. So, when you see that battle for #1, with such great records, that means it's a great summer."

Though he'd be thrilled if "Give Me Everything" ended up dominating the summer airwaves, Pitbull admits that, in a lot of ways, it's not as important helping others escape from the worries of everyday life. Because, truly, that's what any great Summer Jam should do.

"People need to escape from everything that's going on. And ... if they're going to spend the last $20 they made — and they only made $50 for the week — they want to spend having a good time, not running into drama," he said. "So I'm more than blessed to be a part of this summer and the great music out there."

Cali Swag District have been making quite a few headlines of late. From their ubiquitous 2010 dance hit "Teach Me How to Dougie" to the death of group member Mante "M-Bone" Talbert in May, CSD have seen both ups and downs.

With their debut album The Kickback in stores this week, C-Smoove, Yung and JayAre will stop by "RapFix Live" to talk with host Sway about their trials and tribulations today at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com.

The remaining Cali Swag members have stood strong, promising to continue representing for M-Bone. Since the drive-by shooting that took Bone's life May 15, CSD have dropped a mixtape and now their album — with M-Bone on the cover. The CA trio will be chatting with Sway, as well as taking your questions via Twitter, @MTVRapFix with the hashtag #rapfixlive.

That's not all; G-Unit's newest addition Shawty Lo will be making an appearance on "RapFix Live" too. In June, the Atlanta rapper confirmed that he signed with 50's crew. This past weekend, MTV News caught up with Fif, Shawty and Kidd Kidd on the set of Tony Yayo's "Haters," and now, L-O will sit down with Sway on the "RapFix" couch.

This week also marks the 20th anniversary of "Boyz N the Hood," the groundbreaking, John Singleton-directed film that starred Ice Cube, Cuba Gooding Jr., Morris Chestnut and Nia Long. The L.A.-based movie depicted the violent realities of California's inner-cities in the early 1990s and is hailed as a classic among the hip-hop community, so it's only right for "RapFix" to celebrate the occasion.

We also have news updates from Lil Wayne, Pitbull and Wyclef Jean. You won't want to miss this episode of "RapFix Live"!

Tune in to "RapFix Live" today at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com.

'X Factor' Vs. 2011 Baseball Season: Simon Cowell Weighs In

'If the show's popular, people will hopefully know when the schedule changes and they'll still watch it,' 'X Factor' creator says.

On Tuesday night during the MLB All-Star Game, viewers got a sneak peek of the upcoming season of "X Factor." In it, fans were reacquainted with Simon Cowell — both the good and the bad — and Paula Abdul and got to meet new judges Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid.

This marks the first time, but not the last time, that "X Factor" and baseball will cross paths.

When MTV News spoke to show creator Simon Cowell earlier this year, he weighed in on how Fox and the show were planning on scheduling the reality competition during the tail end of baseball season, which may affect "X Factor" airings.

"Well, Fox shows baseball, so I mean it's not 100 percent ideal and it does affect a couple of weeks, but we've got some ideas, which we're talking to the network about, which are slightly different to what other shows have done," Cowell explained.

The show kicks off on September 21 and the 2011 baseball season still has a long way to go, but Cowell insists fans won't have a hard time balancing the two. "So it might work in our favor, and my gut feeling is if the show's popular, people will hopefully know when the schedule changes and they'll still watch it," he added.

While the show isn't that different from his former gig at "American Idol," Cowell said that he's excited to try out something new.

"When you do something new, it's definitely more fun, otherwise you get into a routine and it's like that movie 'Groundhog Day,' " he said. "And this reminds me of when we were launching 'Idol' 10 years ago. I didn't know what was going to happen or if anyone was going to watch it and it was exciting.

"And this is sort of the same because nobody knows what this show is really going to look like. And if it's anything like I hope it's going to be, it's going to be a lot of fun," he said.

Make it a double for Beyoncé. After debuting with the lowest first-week totals of her solo career last week with 4, the "Best Thing I Never Had" singer will make it two in a row at the top next week when her latest holds on to the #1 slot thanks to sales of 115,000.

Though Bey's sales were down a bracing 63 percent (with a two-week total just shy of 426,000), that is more than enough to hold off this year's chart queen, Adele, whose five-month-old smash, 21, holds steady at #2 thanks to another 79,000 units moved. That pushes her total to date to nearly 2.6 million, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

The ladies rule a female-heavy top 10 that features just one new entry, R&B singer Lloyd's King of Hearts, which sneaks in at #10 on sales of 26,000.

The rest of the top 10: Selena Gomez & the Scene, When the Sun Goes Down (#3, 44,000), Jason Aldean, My Kinda Party (#4, 42,000), Bad Meets Evil, Hell: The Sequel (#5, 35,000), Jackie Evancho, Dream With Me (#6, 34,000), Jill Scott, Light of the Sun (#7, 32,000), Lady Gaga, Born This Way (#8, 30,000) and Big Sean, Finally Famous (#9, 27,000).

It was an otherwise quiet week for new releases, with most of the top 40 suffering double-digit drops in sales. Among those losing some significant business: Bon Iver, whose Bon Iver is down 39 percent to 24,000, "American Idol" winner Scott McCreery, whose digital EP slips nine spots in its second week as sales tanked by 65 percent, fellow "Idol" champ David Cook, whose second album, This Loud Morning, drops 19 slots to #26 in its second go-round as business fell by 74 percent, and this year's "Idol" runner-up, Lauren Alaina, whose EP shed 47 percent of last week's figures to land at #35.

It seems that few of Limp Bizkit's fans have hung around for their long-promised comeback album, Gold Cobra, as sales took a nosedive in week two. The LP falls 40 slots to #56 as sales tailed off by 72 percent (8,000). Beyoncé has to settle for second-best on the iTunes albums chart, as Adele triumphs, pushing Bey to #2, followed by Bad Meets Evil, Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More, Bon Iver, Big Sean, We the Kings' Sunshine State of Mind, Gomez, Aldean and Gaga.

You can tell it's summer on the iTunes singles chart, as party starters LMFAO take the pole position with "Party Rock Anthem," which pushes Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" to #2, followed by Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass," Pitbull's "Give Me Everything," OneRepublic's "Good Life" and Adele's monster single, "Rolling in the Deep." At #7 is Hot Chelle Rae's "Tonight Tonight," and then Lil Wayne's "How to Love," Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" and Gaga's "The Edge of Glory."

Beyoncé's chart reign is likely to end next week as a raft of new titles hits shelves. They include the hyped latest from "The Voice" breakout hosting star Blake Shelton, as well as new albums from Incubus, Colbie Caillat, Chris Young and Ashton Shepherd.

As if any more proof were necessary, Nicki Minaj made it clear on Wednesday morning (July 13) that she is not a lady to be trifled with. The First Lady of Young Money posted a series of tweets denying a TMZ report that she was cold-cocked by an unidentified man at a Dallas hotel on Monday night. According to Dallas police, the incident was much less salacious.

"The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn't leave on a stretcher w/his b---s hangin off?" she wrote on Wednesday morning.

A spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department confirmed for MTV News on Wednesday that officers did respond to a call at the Palomar Hotel on Monday night, but that no action was taken. "We responded to her and a friend arguing over a suitcase, and one of them let go and it hit her in the lip," said Dallas PD spokesperson Kevin Janse.

That contradicts TMZ's story that Minaj told police she was struck on the lip by a man during an argument. The gossip site reported that a heated discussion began at the pool and after Minaj asked a hotel employee to call police, the man went up to their room, where he allegedly struck her on the lower lip. By the time cops and paramedics arrived, the man had left, but Minaj said she did not want to press charges against the gentleman, whom she told authorities she was not in a relationship with.

Though her spokesperson could not be reached for comment on the incident, Minaj followed with another tweet that made her already crystal position on the subject even clearer. "The media could pee on ur leg & tell u its raining. You'd believe it. You'd believe u were an adopted martian if TMZ told u so."

Minaj performed without incident on Tuesday night at American Airlines Center in Dallas alongside tourmate Britney Spears.

Like a whisper campaign about a tatted-up unicorn, Blink-182's elusive first reunion single, "Up All Night," has been the subject of chatter for years. The band first started talking about the tune in 2009, when they reunited after a nearly four-year hiatus, but because the recorded version of the song wasn't quite finished at that point, they decided against playing the song live during their subsequent tours.

But now they're ready to pull back the curtain on the song, which is slated to premiere at 10:30 a.m. EST on Friday. The tune will roll out on powerhouse Los Angeles rock station KROQ (106.7 FM) and on the band's official website, according to an announcement posted on the group's official Facebook page.

While recording on the band's first new album since their self-titled 2003 disc was recently wrapped, a release date for the as-yet-untitled CD has not been announced. Blink went on indefinite hiatus in 2005 amid inter-band tensions and announced their reunion at the 2009 Grammy Awards. They then hit the road that summer along with Weezer and Fall Out Boy.

Though they've kept it off the live list for two years, it's likely "Night" will be added to the band's set when they kick off their upcoming Honda Civic-sponsored tour dates with My Chemical Romance on August 5 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. In addition to MCR, the band will be joined by a rotating list of other support acts on the tour, including Manchester Orchestra, Rancid, Against Me! and Matt & Kim.

Bassist Mark Hoppus sounded pumped about the new songs in a recent Facebook post, writing, "Currently listening to THE FIRST MIX FROM THE NEW ALBUM!! Sounds kick. Ass. Cannot wait until this album is released! BOOM!!!"
