Lil Wayne Draws A Crowd In 'Da Da Da' Video -- Check Out A Preview!

Rebirth Rampage: 'Da Da Da'

Get ready for the "Rebirth Rampage." This weekend, MTV Jams will play four brand-new videos from Lil Wayne.

All the clips come from his Rebirth LP, and the lineup includes: "Knockout" with Nicki Minaj, "Runnin" with Shanell, and "Get a Life" and "Da Da Da," both with the rock band ¡Mayday! For the rest of this week, we will be previewing all four videos. First up is the "Da Da Da" clip.

We told you about this particular video in February. It was part of Wayne's incredible weekend of shooting almost a dozen videos in less than three days, when all the soon-to-premiere clips were shot.

David Rousseau, who had previously worked on Young Money's "Roger That" and Kevin Rudolf's "I Made It (Cash Money Heroes)," was commissioned by the Cash Money family to work with Weezy from Friday morning until Super Bowl Sunday morning.

"We shot some sh-- from the [We Are Young Money compilation] album, we shot something from [Wayne's forthcoming] Tha Carter IV, some stuff from Rebirth," the director told MTV News a few months ago. "We knew what our deadline was. We're trying to get maximum coverage for Wayne.

"We were put on hold," added Rousseau, who shot the videos in front of green screens and on a hotel rooftop. "Cash Money said, 'This is our deadline. This is a hard deadline.' It was basically a 'Mission: Impossible' [scenario]: This is your mission if you choose to accept it. Everybody is onboard, because everybody knows what's at stake. Unlike T.I. and some of these other guys that's disappeared while they were in, the point is to keep Wayne [visible] on TV and everything for whatever time he's in. There was a plan in action. Slim and Baby really could foresee that. He's at the height of his career. You can't let that momentum slip."

"Da Da Da" has the real-time feel of the "A Milli" video. We see Wayne, in the middle of Collins Street and 12th Avenue in Miami, get out of his tour bus and ride in a Maybach to the Marlin Hotel. The scene cuts to Wayne walking onto the rooftop of the hotel to a stage where ¡Mayday! is in place. The band begins to perform.

The performance in the video was live and unannounced, and we see everyone looking up while Weezy and company rock the strip. Onlookers whip out camera phones and flipcams to capture the moment. Weezy keeps his charisma high as he shows off for the crowd that forms in the street and fans watching from their terraces.

"He was in a zone," Rousseau said of Wayne. "He was ready. It was a work mentality. He's getting prepared for everything that's about to happen to him. He knows it's the fourth quarter. He was completely cooperative and completely professional."

Which of the four new Wayne videos are you most excited to see this weekend? Let us know in the comments!

'It is the craziest thing you can imagine. It's fantastic to look at,' Matthew Morrison says of tonight's 'Glee' episode.

Gleeks everywhere — and "little monsters" for that matter — can rejoice! The much-anticipated Lady Gaga episode of "Glee" is set to air Tuesday night (May 25). Fans will finally get to see whether the McKinley High glee club nails some of Gaga's biggest hits, including "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance."

But the head of New Directions, Will Schuester, won't be donning any elaborate headdresses or going without pants à la Gaga, according to Matthew Morrison.

"I get out of dressing up in Gaga attire or Kiss attire, 'cause there's a lot of Kiss stuff going on in that episode as well," Morrison told MTV News.

Although Morrison didn't have to be Gaga-fied, he said he admired all the hard work everyone put toward tackling the pop star's theatrical persona.

"I have to give props to our makeup department and our costume department for that episode," he said. "Because it is the most craziest, hardest thing you can imagine. It's fantastic to look at."

At the FOX series' premiere party in April, castmembers were already bubbling with excitement about the Gaga-themed show.

"Her music and her influence on pop music right now, it's so well expressed by 'Glee,' said Cory Monteith, who plays Finn. "The way that that episode goes with Lady Gaga's music is amazing."

"The guys do their thing," Kevin McHale added. "Not all the guys can pull off Gaga. I can't give anything away. It's insane and the outfits are incredible and almost exactly true to the real Gaga outfits. I can't wait for people to see it."

'American Idol' Coin Toss Shows Crystal And Lee's Bond, Friend Says

'It really seemed like they weren't worried about the order,' Bowersox's pal says of coin toss to determine finale performance order.

You hear it every year: The top-two finalists on "American Idol" are really close pals and neither cares who wins the competition. They said it last year with Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, who roomed together and genuinely seemed to be pulling for and supporting each other, and it appears to be the case again this year with Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox.

Except for the full-body hug Bowersox laid on an unsuspecting DeWyze on Wednesday when she realized she'd be competing with him in the finale, it's been a bit hard to tell what kind of relationship the pair have.

A friend of Bowersox's who attended the show last week got a chance to see host Ryan Seacrest flip a coin following Wednesday night's results show and said the off-camera scene offered a glimpse into how close these two singers have become since they met at last summer's Chicago auditions. According to USA Today, Seacrest flipped a coin that had Crystal's face on one side and Lee's on the other to determine the performance order for Tuesday night's (May 25) final sing-off. Crystal won the toss, and her friend said what happened next spoke volumes about their relationship.

"Like she said on the show, it doesn't really matter who wins at this point," her friend told MTV News. "They auditioned together in Chicago, and they've been friends ever since. They genuinely like each other, and when she won the coin toss, she said, 'I don't care — what do you think?' And he said the same thing, and it really seemed like they weren't worried about the order."

For the record, Bowersox agreed to let Lee go first — which "Idol" watchers said was a smart move.

Do you think Lee and Crystal will really be happy no matter the outcome? Let us know in the comments!

Katy Perry's 'California Gurls': The Summer Jam Of 2010?

Posted: 25 May 2010 03:52 AM PDT

Its sun-drenched beat and ode to Daisy Dukes make it a perfect summertime smash.
By James Montgomery

Few songs are as specific in their intent as Katy Perry's "California Gurls," a precision-guided smart bomb of a single deployed by the tacticians at Capitol Records with one goal in mind: to positively decimate the summertime airwaves.

Yes, with its Coppertoned vocals, slinky, sun-drenched beat and odes to Daisy Dukes, bikini tops and Jeep freaking, "Gurls" is the dictionary definition of a summer smash, the kind of song you're destined to hear blasting out of boom boxes and mega-clubs from Asbury Park to Zuma Beach. It's no wonder that, when Perry debuted the single earlier this month, she did so by announcing, "Summer starts now!" The message, it seemed, was clear: Get ready for your favorite suntanning song of 2010.

But can Perry succeed in scoring the summer's biggest hit? We wouldn't bet against her. "Gurls" was crafted by the best in the business (the hitmaking team of Max Martin and Dr. Luke, with an assist from Benny Blanco), features a cameo by none other than Snoop Dogg and, through some magical bit of studio engineering, seems to come scented with coconut extract. In fact, it wouldn't be that huge of a stretch to call it "Hawaiian Tropic Gurls," though that would eliminate one rather huge part of the song's surefire success: the shout-out to the Golden State.

As Perry recently told Rolling Stone, "Gurls" is her answer to Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind," the tune that big-upped the Big Apple and became Jigga's biggest mainstream hit to date. Turns out geography is a big deal to some folks (who knew?!?), and tunes that pay homage to a particular region's most, uh, precious resources tend to resonate strongest. On her song, Perry coos about the "fine, fresh and fierce" Cali ladies with "sun-kissed skin" that generates enough heat to melt even the sturdiest of popsicles, and it's likely that the more than 33 million people who call the state home will agree with her assessment — and download the song too.

It would appear Perry's ploy is already working. Rush-released to radio, "California Gurls" bowed at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart (her highest-ever debut) and sold more than 294,000 digital downloads in its first week of release, the second-biggest number for a female singer. Oh, and this is all before the high-gloss video — featuring Perry in a candy-colored menagerie of barely there beachwear — has even debuted.

All in all, it's looking like this really could be Perry's summer. Precision-guided or not, the success of "California Gurls" is undeniable, and the same can be said for its appeal. There's a science to these sorts of things, after all.

Vote for the summer jam of 2010 in the MTV Newsroom now, and stay tuned all week for more on the hottest songs of the season.

The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive

Pill is going for the trifecta next week. The rapper burst onto the scene last year thanks to his frantically-paced anthem "Trap Going Ham." Since then, he's released two "pharmaceutical"-themed mixtapes, 4180: The Prescription with DJ Burn One and 4175: The Refill with DJ Skee. Now, Pill is upping his prescription when he drops his first Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama, 1140: The Overdose, on June 1.

"Me and DJ Drama, it will be a Gangsta Grillz. Get that on your mind right!" Pill told Mixtape Daily. "1140: The Overdose. I got few features, but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag just yet. You could look for it to be along the same lines of The Prescription or The Refill. I just try to keep it going the way I usually do it. I don't want to switch it up, because I made it this far doing what I do, so I'm going to keep doing what I do."

Pill's previous tapes have mixed original material with jacked beats from a wide array of artists like Destiny's Child and the Notorious B.I.G. The Overdose continues in that tradition: Freestyles over Ludacris' "How Low" and T.I.'s "I'm Back" have already leaked to the Web. His tapes have helped Pill win a spot on XXL's 2010 Freshmen 10.

Despite his quick rise, Pill said he won't rush his aptly titled debut album, The Medicine.

"I don't want to rush it, because you know how a lot of people get signed and they drop an album ASAP, and nobody knows who they really are? I don't want to fall victim to that," he said. "[I'll] probably drop another two mixtapes and then be looking forward to the album. I don't want to drop it on them. I want them to be like, 'We need that Pill album,' so I can give them The Medicine."

The second "Sex and the City" movie hasn't even hit theaters yet, but that doesn't mean fans aren't wondering if the girls will get together for a third flick.

Kim Cattrall said the only person who can decide the fate of the franchise is writer/director Michael Patrick King, and if he wants her to come back again to play man-crazy PR maven Samantha Jones, she's there in an instant — as long as she doesn't have to come up with the story line.

"That's totally not up to me, thank God! Thank God I don't have to write that third script," she told MTV News while promoting "Sex and the City 2," which hits theaters Thursday. "That would be so daunting, but that's up to Michael."

While the decision isn't hers, she certainly is rooting for there to be another flick. "I don't know if there will be a third," she said. "I hope there will be. I think there's more stories to be told. That's totally his call."

So when will they stop? "Well, I think the only way it will continue is if Michael feels there's more to be said. I think once we start repeating ourselves, it's time to say goodbye," she said. "Maybe that's in five years, maybe that's in 10. Who knows? I hope we can do it for as long as the audience is there and the characters are interesting and growing and changing."

Heavy-metal musicians were quick to react to the death of Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, as news spread online in a manner all too familiar to a community still reeling from the recent deaths of legendary singer Ronnie James Dio and Type O Negative frontman Peter Steele.

"I'm so crushed to hear about the passing of Paul Gray," Shadows Fall singer Brian Fair told MTV News. "I had the pleasure of first getting to know him on a press trip to New York City before our tour with Slipknot and Lamb of God in 2005 and then sharing stages and good times with him and the boys around the world.

"He was a great musician, an underrated songwriter and a truly warm soul underneath the evil mask he rocked onstage," he continued. "This is a huge loss to the metal world. He will be missed deeply."

The boys in Nonpoint were on Ozzfest with Slipknot back in 2001, watching the Iowa band blow up as they relentlessly toured behind their 1999 eponymous debut.

"I am deeply saddened to hear and read about the death of Paul Gray," Nonpoint drummer Rob Rivera told MTV News. "Nonpoint had the pleasure of touring with Slipknot during the 2001 Ozzfest, and what we saw from Paul and the rest of Slipknot was a band that gave their all live and put their bodies on the line. To all in Slipknot and Paul's family, Nonpoint send all our love, condolences and prayers out to you. You will be missed by all your friends and fans around the world. Rest In Peace my metal brother."

Gray was found dead Monday (May 24) in a suburban Iowa hotel room. The cause of death has not been reported as of press time. The band's most recent studio album, All Hope Is Gone, was released in 2008. The album was mixed by legendary English metal producer Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Fear Factory), whose representative had this to say in a statement: "[Colin] is a true fan to the core and sends his love and condolences to everyone in Slipknot and their camp."

Another band Richardson has worked with, legendary thrashers Sepultura, took to the Internet. "RIP Paul Gray, we're shocked and very sad," current members Paulo Pinto Jr., Andreas Kisser, Derrick Green and Jean Dolabella said in a joint statement.

"This is another tragic loss for our metal community."

T.I. Premieres Second Single From <i>King Uncaged</i>

T.I. debuted the second song from his upcoming King Uncaged album on Monday evening (May 24), via his personal website, TrapMuzik.com.

Produced by longtime collaborator DJ Toomp, "Yeah Ya Know (Takers)" appears to double as a number from the forthcoming film "Takers," in which T.I. stars alongside Chris Brown and Matt Dillon. A representative from the rapper's label, Atlantic, was unable to confirm this as of press time.

A more aggressive T.I. can be heard on "Yeah Ya Know (Takers)" — a harder posture than the one he takes on his previous King Uncaged effort, "I'm Back," which marked the Atlanta MC's first output since his federal imprisonment ended earlier this year.

T.I. shouts during the song's spoken outro, "Prison ain't change me, it made me worse. Right, 'Pac? If I want it, I'mma come get it. I ain't asking for it — I'mma take it. We takers."

On the chorus, he references his drug-dealing past and the transition to becoming a superstar lyricist. "I went from rolling with the rocks on the block," T.I. raps. "To controlling my position at the top of every chart, and I will not stop/ Then we ride, then we roll, then you stop, and we go, yeah ya know."

The charismatic MC has kept a low profile since he finished serving out his sentence in a halfway house. He released "I'm Back" and later appeared with CNN's Larry King for his first interview, telling the host "depression and paranoia" led to his arrest.

"It came from an attempt that was made on my life," Tip explained. "My best friend [Philant Johnson] had died in my arms. It caused a state of depression and paranoia. My judgment was jaded, and I felt my life was in danger. ... At the time, when I felt the need to have these [weapons], I never took into consideration the legalities; I only took into consideration the protection of my life and family."

On Monday, T.I. also posted an interview on his website conducted by Jamie Foxx. His album is due August 17.

NEW YORK — Fans have always been torn between the main men of "Sex and the City": Mr. Big and Aidan Shaw. In "Sex and the City 2," opening Thursday, Carrie is faced with that dilemma all over again.

While she married Big in the first flick, she comes face to face with her former flame in the second. And at the sequel's red-carpet premiere on Monday night (May 24), MTV News went straight to the guys themselves to see who might win in an epic throw-down.

John Corbett, who plays Carrie's onetime fiancé Aidan, admits that now is as good a time as any to revisit the infamous love triangle.

"It's been quite awhile — 10 years, almost," Corbett told MTV News. "[Michael Patrick King] told me the idea, and I said, 'That sounds great.' I think the fans enjoyed Aidan and Carrie and the Big triangle, and Michael Patrick King was really smart the way he worked it out."

Many seasons ago, Big and Aidan found themselves embroiled in one intense mud-wrestling competition. With all these years behind them, who does Corbett think might win if Big and Aidan faced off again? "I know who would win, who should have won in the first place: me," he said. "I'm bigger, I'm stronger and I'm faster."

The man behind Mr. Big, Chris Noth, felt the iconic fight might play out differently than Corbett imagined. "I'd destroy him. I'm in much better shape," Noth said. "He's taller, though. But we're buddies. We'd probably knock each other out. Did you say you could beat me up, John?"

Who would you want to see win in a fight for Carrie's heart: Big or Aidan? Tell us in the comments!

Fast-growing rumors regarding the breakup of musicians Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato were confirmed Monday night (May 24) when Jonas, 20, revealed to People magazine that he'd decided to end his relationship with Lovato in order to focus on their friendship.

"Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one," Jonas told People. "I realize over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break up but I love her as a friend. She's been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her."

For her own account, the 17-year-old Lovato took to her Twitter feed to clarify some of the rumors surrounding her breakup with Jonas. "I'd like to clear a few things up," she said. "First, Joe and I did split but it wasn't over the phone. Things didn't work out but we'll remain friends. Secondly, I am NOT dating anybody already. Nothing is more important to me than the relationship I have with my fans. Just thought you guys should know this."

Despite the split, Jonas and Lovato will still tour together this summer beginning with a July 27 performance in Dallas.

"We're working out all the details right now for the tour," Nick Jonas told MTV News of the upcoming trek. "It's gonna be a fun night of music. I think all of us are just anxious to get out there and play for our fans. That's the most important part for us and bringing some friends from 'Camp Rock' as well. And, obviously, having Demi will be great and we're looking forward to it."

Lindsay Lohan's SCRAM Bracelet: How Does It Work?

Posted: 24 May 2010 07:26 AM PDT

Lohan's alcohol-monitoring bracelet collects data regarding the wearer's alcohol consumption by measuring perspiration.
By Josh Wigler

Lindsay Lohan appeared in court Monday (May 24) seeking to ease restrictions on the terms of her probation stemming from two drug- and alcohol-related arrests in 2007. To Lohan's disappointment, Judge Marsha Revel ordered the 24-year-old actress to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet that will require her to undergo mandatory drug testing in Los Angeles on a weekly basis. Lohan must attach the bracelet to her ankle within the next 24 hours.

The device is called a SCRAM bracelet, and it's hardly an unfamiliar fashion accessory for Lohan, who volunteered to wear the bracelet as part of an outpatient care program following her DUI arrest in 2007. The SCRAM bracelet, short for Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor, is a lightweight ankle bracelet designed to keep track of the wearer's alcohol consumption through measuring his or her perspiration. After data regarding the wearer's blood alcohol content is collected, the bracelet sends the information to the manufacturer, Alcohol Monitoring Systems.

The SCRAM bracelet is virtually tamper-proof, thanks to "an internal mechanism that if you do tamper with it, it'll notify the remote location immediately," attorney Mark Geragos told MTV News. As a result, SCRAM wearers are cautioned not to submerge the device in water, as the bracelet would no longer be able to record perspiration, which would be flagged by remote monitors as "an attempt to defeat" the bracelet. Said Geragos: "You've got to take some precautions when you shower."

Another inconvenience presented by the SCRAM bracelet involves air travel, as the official website for Alcohol Monitoring Systems notes that the device's presence would likely require special attention and swab testing from airport security officials. Given Lohan's weekly Los Angeles testing, however, air travel isn't likely to propose too much of an inconvenience if she wishes to remain free on bail.

Additionally, SCRAM wearers are instructed against ingesting alcohol of any kind — that means not just beverages, but also mouthwash, colognes and perfumes, certain types of lotion and other similar products containing alcohol.

Of course, there's the visually distracting nature of the device to consider as well. "Depending on whether or not you think it's a fashion statement, you'll generally wear pants while wearing [the bracelet]," Geragos told MTV News.

With summer rapidly approaching, Lohan, a California resident, faces a physically uncomfortable time to wear pants on a daily basis. Lohan has 24 hours to start using the SCRAM bracelet. She'll have to actually wear the device for significantly longer than that, however, as her next probation hearing is scheduled for July 6.

Lindsay Lohan Ordered To Wear Alcohol-Monitoring Bracelet By Judge

Actress lost bid to ease the restrictions of her probation.

On Monday (May 24), a stern Superior Court judge warned troubled actress Lindsay Lohan that she needs to keep on the straight and narrow if she wishes to avoid a return trip to jail. After Lohan missed her initial court date last week, claiming that her passport was stolen while she was attending the Cannes film festival in France, CBS News reported that a "somber and concerned" looking Lohan appeared in a Beverly Hills, California, courtroom and lost a bid to ease the restrictions of her probation.

Wearing a dark gray suit, Lohan appeared in court with her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, who told Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel that her client was scheduled to start filming a movie in Texas soon. The judge was not swayed and said the actress may have to delay the project, ordering Lohan to attach a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet to her ankle that will require her to undergo mandatory drug testing every week in the Los Angeles area if she wishes to stay free on bail. Revel also set a probation-violation hearing for July 6 following Lohan's failure to attend last week's scheduled hearing.

In an interview with Hollywood TV published Monday, Lohan argued that she doesn't need jail or rehab, saying, "I don't see what reason I would go to prison for. I've been more than compliant with everything having to do with the court system." Though she has frequently been pictured partying until all hours of the morning, Lohan said she didn't think she needed to make a return trip to rehab. "I don't see why I would even have to do that," she said, "considering I've been in compliance with everything that occurs when you're in the court system for two DUIs."

According to TMZ, Lohan must begin wearing the SCRAM bracelet — which she wore in 2007 following her plea in the DUI cases — within 24 hours and attend all her scheduled alcohol education classes at least once a week.

If Revel determines that Lohan violated her probation by not attending her alcohol education classes as ordered, she could face a jail sentence of up to 180 days.

"We try to pick people from different eras, whether it was closer to the beginning or from the late '80s into the '90s," Fab Five Freddy said of the process, which has drawn criticism from Suave House Records founder Tony Draper and rappers Scarface and Uncle Luke. "And people that carved out specific lanes and styles in the music."

The onetime "Yo! MTV Raps" host and writer Nelson George, who have overseen each show since its inception, admitted that every show will have detractors. "I don't know if you do anything with hip-hop and not have people speak up," George said in an interview posted on VH1.com.

George said that for every person upset with the process, there are just as many people satisfied, noting that fans of Timbaland or Rap-A-Lot Records will see their favorites.

"Depending on where your point of view is [coming from], the show works," he said. "They say all politics are local, all hip-hop is too. People want their place represented."

Draper has voiced his displeasure in several interviews, saying the process is flawed if only one act or person that represents each facet of Southern hip-hop is selected. Luke felt he alone should be recognized for his endeavors, not the 2 Live Crew collective with whom he worked only on a limited basis. Scarface lashed out over what he perceived was an oversight since his group, the Geto Boys, were omitted, although the influential rappers were signed to Rap-A-Lot.

George suggested fans celebrate the moment and those that will actually be feted, a diverse group that they sought to honor the region's successes. Fab Five Freddy defended himself and his production partner, both native New Yorkers, overseeing a show that honors "The Dirty South."

The two were also criticized for their lack of credentials below the Mason-Dixon Line, however, Freddy dismissed that particular barb and UGK's Bun B also defended the production.

"With 'Yo! MTV' and with my curious nature, I got an opportunity to go to these other places where these new forms or new artists where emerging," Freddy said. "So many people have gone with me to Liberty City in Miami to see what the 2 Live Crew was really about, to go to the 5th Ward in Texas to see the Geto Boys and, of course, most people's favorite show, the ride on the flatbed truck through Compton with N.W.A. I got to share those experiences with a lot of other people to show it's not just about us in [New York], it's cats in Philly and other places that are making viable music with a unique culture. 'Hip Hop Honors' is still trying to do that thing. Let's take people places and really show them and help them understand where it comes from and give props to the people that paved the way."

Slipknot Bassist Paul Gray On Fans' Dedication

Slipknot bassist Paul Gray — who was found dead Monday (May 24) in a suburban Iowa hotel room of causes that had not been announced at press time — helped found the group back in 1995, and over the next 15 years, he'd witness their remarkable ascension from Iowa outsiders to one of the most popular hard-rock acts on the planet.

And though Slipknot sold millions of albums, toured the world and even won a Grammy, the band never lost the bond Gray — and his bandmates — shared with their fans. It was a connection that few groups manage to achieve, and one that Gray cherished, as he told MTV News in 2008, just before the release of Slipknot's most recent album, All Hope Is Gone.

"It makes you kind of speechless, man. Some kid who's so depressed or things are going so bad for them that they actually want to take their own lives, and then they listen to a Slipknot lyric or a song ... and that actually gets them through that? I mean, what can you say?" Gray said. "I'm just happy that we're able to do something and actually touch somebody like that, where they do feel empowered to keep pushing on and keep going through what they're going through, and surviving. It's an overwhelming feeling."

And though it meant having to deal with plenty of heavy stuff, Gray never shied away from spending time with Slipknot's so-called "Maggots." Instead, he opened his Iowa home to them ... he considered it an honor.

"I don't know how they do it, man, but they find my address, my actual home address, and I'll get letters and paintings. I have huge murals, big paintings of us that these guys put hours and hours into. And they'll send them into my house. I don't know how they do that, but ... it's really cool," he laughed. "I've had people just show up at my house, and they're sitting on my back porch drinking beer, waiting for me to come home. And, like, I come home at 2 in the morning and there's these kids just sitting there, and I'm like, 'What the f--- are you doing here?' and they're like, screaming and, like, 'Can we come in and hang out?' And I'm the kind of person who lets them in, tells them, 'Here, sh--, have another beer, whatever, I'll drive you home.' It's crazy, man."

There were things going on in the world on Sunday night apart from the "Lost" series finale. Bret Michaels won on "Celebrity Apprentice," "Shrek Forever After" topped the box office, and the Mets and Yankees faced off at Citi Field. But for many people, the only thing worth discussing is "Lost."

Celebs from Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad to Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Silverman were tuned in for the "Lost" extravaganza and tweeting about it the whole time.

"Powerful ending of 'Lost,' " Jessica Simpson tweeted. "Wow. Incredibly beautiful! Cried so many times in the last 5hrs of ABC LOST TV!"

Lauren Conrad tweeted, "Who's watching the 'Lost' finale? It's like X-mas. You can't wait for it to finally be here, but u don't want it to be over!"

That's exactly how "Lost" star Dominic Monaghan was feeling about the show. "Sad to say goodbye to 'LOST,' but hoping fans have enjoyed the adventure," he wrote.

Neil Patrick Harris certainly enjoyed the ride. "I haven't read the reviews, don't know the consensus. But I watched the @LOST finale last night, and I loved it! Bravo cast/crew/creators!"

"Twilight" saga co-star Chaske Spencer agreed with the sentiment, and started to mourn a future without the mysterious island in his life. "I can't believe LOST is over!" he wrote.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse took in the Celtics/Magic basketball game earlier in the evening — "I am going to go get my Rondo on, so no one ruin the last Lost for me!!! I will watch it tomorrow. Holy b---s, it is almost done," he wrote — but caught up with the action later.

"Craziness. 'Lost' finale. Well done," he wrote later, adding, "I feel a little incomplete knowing I won't be watching anymore new 'Lost' episodes. Man, that finale was a little too touching."

How to battle those "Lost" blues? Series exec producer Damon Lindelof has some ideas. "Remember," he said. "Let go. Move on. I will miss it more than I can ever say."

Sarah Silverman, meanwhile, had some kind words for Lindelof and his team. "I can't tell if I'm crying because it was beautiful or because I'm sad it's over," wrote the comedian. "Thank you 'LOST' for 6 amazing years."

And then there were those celebs who hadn't made the six-year "Lost" commitment. "Please don't tell me how 'Lost' ended last night," tweeted Conan O'Brien. "I'm up to the part where they discover a hatch."

What did you think of the finale? Vote in our "Lost" poll, and let us know what you thought in the comments below!

Drake has always had love for Aaliyah. Over the weekend, another song from the Toronto MC's forthcoming debut, Thank Me Later, leaked online, this one featuring a sample of the late singer's voice.

"Unforgettable," produced by Noah "40" Shebib, also features Young Jeezy. The number begins with Aaliyah softly cooing, "Let me know," over and over, part of her refrain from "(At Your Best) You Are Love," which was on her 1994 debut, Age Ain't Nothing but a Number.

"This is really one of my dumbest flows ever, I haven't slept in days/ And me and my latest girl agreed to go our separate ways," Drake raps on the track. "So I'm single, thinking about what we had in 'Missin' You'/ But I ain't saying I don't got nothing for these bad bi---es, too."

Late last year, Drake tweeted a message to fans, hinting that he had an homage to the "Rock the Boat" singer in the works. "I miss Aaliyah," the rapper wrote in December. "I hope you hear the words in my music and smile knowing you inspired them all."

Jeezy joins Drake on the number, and the two trade rhymes and co-anchor the chorus. "I'm just riding around the city with my hood on and my windows down/ Ask your girl, I'm the realest n---a she been around," Jeezy raps on the hook. "When I pull up in something new and park it by the haters/ And when you get to talking about the greatest, I just hope that ... "

"I just hope that you think about me, you think of me, you think of me," Drake then sings. " 'Cause I'm trying to be unforgettable."

"Unforgettable" is the latest Thank Me Later production to pop up online, joining the Lil Wayne-assisted "Miss Me" and Drake's first two singles, "Over" and "Find Your Love."

The star-studded track list for Drake's debut was released last week and includes collaborations with Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.

Jake Gyllenhaal Didn't Take Himself 'Too Seriously' On 'Prince Of Persia'

'I always like to try and find something that's more interesting than what's just on the page,' he tells MTV News.

Back in February, "Prince of Persia" director Mike Newell told MTV News that Jake Gyllenhaal, his upcoming film's star, was the definition of a "thinking woman's action hero."

"He's got a sort of cheeky, devil-may-care light in his eye, and at the same time, he has a sensitivity, delicacy and thinness of skin," the Brit director explained. "He is glorious-looking, but you wanted more than that. You wanted women to be interested in him not just as a piece of eye candy."

Now it's all well and good to have your boss paying you such compliments, but Newell's label lined up perfectly with how Gyllenhaal approached the role — his first turn as an action hero after years spent making a name in serious fare like "Brokeback Mountain" and "Jarhead."

"I always like to try and find something that's more interesting than what's just on the page whenever I'm doing something," the Oscar-nominated actor told MTV News.

Gyllenhaal plays Dastan, a poor young man in the ancient Mideast who's essentially adopted into the royal family and suddenly finds himself in the midst of a swashbuckling adventure to protect a magical dagger capable of turning back time. "Brokeback," this ain't. But he approached the Disney material with respect and seriousness — for the most part.

"Before I even read the script, [Newell] said to me, 'You know, my boy, it's a script about a dagger that turns back time. Now let's talk about what that is.' I was like, 'A dagger that turns back time?' And he was like, 'Well, yes, I know what you are thinking, because I know you are the thinking woman's action hero, but, my boy!' And then he [said] in ancient Persia, or during the time this fantasy world is set, they would believe in things like that. ... Somehow, that was an in for me. It wasn't just a device, it was actually an idea that was fascinating. The whole movie became that with Mike. We were going just a little bit deeper than you would expect."

Going deeper, though, didn't mean becoming overly serious about a summer popcorn flick that is adapted from a long-running video game series. "There's also a great sense of not taking yourself too seriously, which is so important," Gyllenhaal explained. "And occasionally, when you have an opportunity, take yourself a little seriously, which we do in this movie, and I do think that separates Dastan from other action heroes."

Check out everything we've got on "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."

Fresh off two unexpected emergency visits to the hospital, "Celebrity Apprentice" winner Bret Michaels revealed Monday (May 24) that he'll undergo heart surgery in the fall to repair the recently discovered hole in his heart.

Speaking with "Access Hollywood," Michaels said the surgery would occur once he's completed taking current medicine to recover from the subarachnoid brain hemorrhage he suffered last month.

"What they'll do is, they'll go in and they'll do the heart operation in the fall," Michaels revealed. "They have to let everything clear out, and then they'll go in and do the operation in my heart, and then I'm gonna be great. I don't have any other options except to think that it's gonna be great, it's gonna be a smooth operation, and I'm gonna feel awesome."

Despite protests from his doctors, Michaels appeared on Sunday night's live season finale of "Celebrity Apprentice," where he was crowned the winner. "Yes, it's been a risk, but I wanted to be here," Michaels said of his decision to appear at the finale. "I came to win, and I'm glad to be on the show."

Winning "Celebrity Apprentice" is far from Michaels' greatest recent victory, as the Poison frontman beat the odds by surviving the unanticipated hemorrhage in April. On the "Today" show, Michaels revealed his current medical status. "This is the truth: I'm not back 100 percent yet, but I'm one of those guys that I have to have a goal, and I'm very driven, and I say this truthfully, I love life," he said.

Tony Yayo Says He's 'Definitely A Bad Guy' In 'S.W.A.T. 2'

'Having a guy like 50 Cent as a friend is a big advantage,' he says of G-Unit honcho helping him land part.

Tony Yayo says he will be billed as "Tony Yayo" not Marvin Bernard, his government name, when the credits roll on his feature film debut. The most energetic member of the G-Unit will get his shot at the big screen come 2011, when "S.W.A.T.: Fire Fight" hits theaters.

"My part got edited [out]," Yayo laughed about his cameo in 50 Cent's 90-minute film "Before I Self Destruct." "I ain't mad at you, 50. Having a guy like 50 Cent as a friend is a big advantage."

Fif recently put in the call to director Benny Boom, so that his close friend could get a look in the sequel to 2003's "S.W.A.T."

"Shout out to 50, shout out to Benny Boom," Yayo said last week during a visit to the MTV offices. "Shout out to my man Lucky. I just feel fortunate. 50 is in the movie world. They're doing their thing in Hollywood with Cheetah Vision [Films]. They just shot a movie called 'The Gun.' Then he just shot another movie that was in Grand Rapids, [Michigan]. He did four movies since I did my movie. It was an honor to be in 'S.W.A.T. 2'. L.L. was in the first one. Samuel Jackson, Colin Farrell — a lot of big names was in 'S.W.A.T. 1'. So me being in 'S.W.A.T. 2' is crazy.

"It's a lot of big name stars in it," Yayo added about "S.W.A.T.: Fire Fight." Kevin Phillips, he played in the Biggie movie ["Notorious"]. Shannon Kane, she just played in "Brooklyn's Finest." And Robert Patrick — I got a chance to meet him. I'm a big "Terminator" fan. And it is directed by Benny boom. It was cool."

Yayo plays a member of a band of criminals led by Patrick.

"I'm just a bad guy. I'm from the streets, and I do what bad guys do. I play Carlos," he explained. "I'm definitely a bad guy. I don't have a problem playing a bad guy, 'cause everybody looks at me as that anyway. It was real easy. ... It's going to be a lot of shooting and stuff in the movie, it's great. There's real S.W.A.T. in the movie and they real S.W.A.T.," Yayo said of the special law enforcement team members who served as on-set technical advisers.

"I met this guy, I forget his name, he's the head S.W.A.T. guy for Detroit. He's directing the actors on what to do. It's S.W.A.T. in [the film who] obviously know what to do. It's amazing to meet real S.W.A.T. They are really in the movie. It gets crazy in the movie!"

Yayo said he has discovered a new love in acting, but music isn't going to take a backseat. His second LP, tentatively titled Godfather of the Ghetto, is slated for release later this year, and he just put out the 50 Cent-featured "Pass the Patrón."

"It feels good. 50 told me when we got dropped [from Interscope Records], 'Yo, I know what I'm doing,' " Yayo recalled. "I dropped "Pass the Patrón," and [Hot 97 DJ] Funkmaster Flex started dropping bombs on it. It's a big record. It's produced by Punch, the same guy that produced "So Seductive." The song is two years old, Yayo revealed, but added, "It's summertime and it has the feel of a club banger."

Yayo starts on 50's the Invitation Tour on May 28 in Cleveland.

Do you think Yayo's "Pass the Patrón" should qualify for our Song of the Summer? Tell us in the comments!
