Rick Ross Says 'Super High' Video Is 'Like A Flashback Of 'Easy Rider' '

Rick Ross is sitting on top of the world — in his new video for "Super High," Ross, along with his lady, straddles his motorcyle on a mountain top.

"Shout-out to F. Gary Gray," Ross said recently on the set of the clip, referring to the video's director, known for the films "Set It Off" and "The Italian Job," among others. "That's my favorite director throughout film. I met him ... Diddy introduced me to him one night. When I completed the record, I flew out to L.A. and met with him. I played [the track] for him. I gotta shout him out big time. ... But the video is actually like flashback of [the movie] 'Easy Rider' — a bunch of homies hoggin' the highway. We run across a beautiful young lady which happens to be Stacie Dash, and a dude — he's a d----- bag. I end up snatching her and spending the rest of the evening with her, the way a boss should."

"It's basically Ross and his gang riding around doing what they do," guest star Ne-Yo said of the clip. "This is my first time working with F. Gary Gray. So far, so good. He's a movie director, so everything is gonna have that cinematic edge to it. It's gonna look like a mini-movie as opposed to just a music video."

Sure enough, Gray choreographed a scene were Ross and his road dawgs surround the sports vehicle being driven by Dash's original beau and, of course, Ross got a performance scene as well, let his swagger shine in his custom-made leather jacket. In a later scene, Ross and Ne-Yo sit at a table together in a bar filled with tough guys and sexy ladies. While on set, Ne-Yo did say that the song has nothing to do with indulging in narcotics.

"It's just about feeling good," The Grammy Award-winning singer clarified. "Doing things that maybe regular people can't do. You work hard so you get to play hard."

Ross explained that he was inspired to write the record while looking down at Central Park from Diddy's penthouse in Manhattan.

"The concept actually came from me and Diddy — we was running around New York City one night, went back to his penthouse and that's where the actual term 'super high' comes from," Ross offered. "It's 5 o'clock in the morning. I'm just burning, I'm thinking. [Diddy] turned on 'Purple Rain,' Prince. A few homies were in there — D Roc, me and him reminiscing, talking about Biggie. After the conversation I just stopped watching the movie and walked to the huge window. And I was reflecting like, 'Wow.' It had me reflecting on how far I came as a artist and as a person.

"When you trying to get better as an artist, a lot of times we coming from the streets. We're flawed in a lot of ways. We trying to get better as people," he explained. "I was reflecting on that, realizing how significant the title Teflon Don is, even though that was one of my first rap names and one of the first tattoos I got. I just came with the whole first verse looking out the view: 'From my n---a Diddy view, I think I see his vision too/ 'Purple Rain,' over Central Park, chillin' with my goons.' I was just capturing them moments and putting it over beats."

Teflon Don is slated to drop on June 29 and Diddy, Kanye West and Jay-Z have all contributed to the project.

Drake confirmed Alicia Keys will appear as a guest on his forthcoming debut album during the Los Angeles stop of his Away From Home tour on Thursday night.

The Toronto MC broke the news to the crowd as the opening notes of "Fireworks," slated to be Thank Me Later's opening track, began to boom from the speakers.

"This right here is the first song that you will here when you put that disk in," Drake said of Thank Me Later, due June 15. "It's a song with myself and Miss Alicia Keys, it's called "Fireworks."

"Money just changed everything, I wonder how life without it would go," he rapped. "From the concrete, who knew that a flower would grow/ Looking down from the top and it's crowded below/ My 15 minutes started an hour ago."

Drake premiered the track during the first stop of his tour and has been revealing more of the number with subsequent performances.

In Rolling Stone magazine's Spring Music Preview, the So Far Gone superstar revealed the track would address his relationships with Lil Wayne, his own family, and a rumored romance with Rihanna.

Last month, Drake told MTV News the song represents what his life is like at the moment.

"The song itself is the first song on the album; I think it's the biggest indicator of what the album is gonna be like," he said. "That's why I picked that song to go first, and that's why I wrote the first verse like that. It's really where I am in my life right now. I know they're looking forward to the album, so I want them to get a feel of how the story starts off."

LOS ANGELES — While "The Hangover" is the flick to beat at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards next month, "New Moon" comes in a close second with five nods. And "Twilight" saga star Nikki Reed admitted that all the fan adoration still feels good.

"I mean, it's wonderful — [especially] when you make a movie and you have absolutely zero expectations," she told MTV News at the Young Hollywood Awards on Thursday night. Reed added that the cast had no idea that the "Twilight" phenomenon would resonate so strongly and passionately with their fans.

"When we made 'Twilight,' none of us knew what it was going to become. There's inevitably a certain amount of pressure going back," she continued. "You want to make sure the second one is just as good, so I guess we're all really happy and relieved. All the actors love the books and the movies just as much as the fans."

The other big "Twilight"-related headline these days is all about the business of making sure "Breaking Dawn" gets made. Rumor has it that Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz are asking for bigger pay for the last flicks, but Reed declined to comment on the reports, nor would she confirm the report that she is close to finalizing her deal for the final films.

"I can't comment on my business affairs, sorry. I can't comment on other people, either," she said, but did add she had yet to speak to "Breaking Dawn" director Bill Condon. "I haven't, but I'm looking forward to it."

Jay-Z Said Earlier This Year He's 'Inspired' By LeBron James

NBA fans are wondering if James will head to Jay's New Jersey Nets when his Cleveland contract is up.

Now that LeBron James has received an early exit out of the NBA playoffs for the second straight year, fans wonder: Will the 2009-10 MVP hang up his Cavs jersey for a move to Brooklyn?

It's no mystery that King James and Jay-Z are bosom buddies and that Jay's influence on the scoring champ could bring the kid from Akron, Ohio, to the Big Apple. Earlier this year at their "Two Kings" annual event during the NBA All-Star weekend in Dallas, Hov told a crowd of reporters that he was impressed by LeBron's growth over the years.

"I'm inspired by LeBron James at this moment, this season that he's having," Jay said. "I didn't think that he would get any better. I remember when I first met him — he told me that he played point guard and I was like, 'You'll never make it in the NBA.' I didn't think he'd make it past half-court — he's 6-foot-8! But I didn't know how gifted this young man would become. And he's getting better."

"Growing up, I had many inspirations," James added.

Jay-Z and LeBron share many similarities, from the reigning positions in their respective careers down to the origins of their upbringing, as both superstars come from single-parent homes.

"I think our biggest inspirations were our families," Jay continued. "We didn't have all of this stuff coming around the neighborhood. For us, it was just our mothers, our parents — our strong mothers."

Later in the Q&A session, a reporter asked LeBron if he ever thought about playing for the Dallas Mavericks. "Uh ..." LeBron paused, looking toward Jay for an answer.

"That's a little self-serving," Hov shot back at the reporter.

"What about the Nets?" another reporter asked.

"Nah," Jay calmly responded. Only time will tell if Jay is pulling our leg — he's been known to do that.

MTV Movie Awards Host Aziz Ansari Gets Distracted By A Squirrel

Posted: 13 May 2010 11:12 PM PDT

In a promo for the Movie Awards, Ansari and Sarah Silverman get derailed while writing a script for Zac Efron.
By Josh Wigler

Between announcing new movies and preparing for his responsibilities as the host of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Aziz Ansari has little free time on his hands. But just as there's always room for Jell-O, there's always time for squirrels on water skis.

In a new commercial promoting the awards show, Ansari seeks out the assistance of his friend and fellow comedian Sarah Silverman to help write some material to support the MTV Movie Awards, airing Sunday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV. "We will, we will," a distracted Silverman tells Ansari, before inviting him over to her laptop. "But look at this."

On Silverman's computer is the one thing in the world — well, one of few things — that could possibly derail Ansari's work ethic: an adorable video of a water-skiing squirrel. The hilarious YouTube video causes a nonstop three-day distraction for both Ansari and Silverman that doesn't end until Zac Efron shows up at their doorstep ready for work.

"I'm supposed to shoot a promo for the MTV Movie Awards, but I didn't get a script," he tells Ansari and Silverman. "Do you guys know what we're doing?"

Luckily for the "17 Again" star, Ansari and Silverman have put their three days of squirrel watching to good use by coming up with "a great idea" for a promotional spot — an idea that unsurprisingly involves water-skiing, Zac Efron's head photoshopped on a squirrel and plenty of laughs.

While we can't promise an overabundance of squirrel comedy when the 2010 MTV Movie Awards kick off live at 9 p.m. ET on June 6, we can promise you plenty more hilarity from Ansari and other special guests. Trust us: Nothing should stand between you and the awards show — not even an adorable water-skiing squirrel.

Bret Michaels will make his first TV appearance since suffering a brain hemorrhage on Wednesday's episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," People reports. He's also planning to attend the live "Celebrity Apprentice" finale on May 23, his rep told the magazine Friday (May 13).

The rep confirmed reports that Michaels is aiming to be back on the road in time for his May 28 show at the Hard Rock in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The 47-year-old Poison rocker, who suffered a nearly fatal brain hemorrhage last month, was discharged from a Phoenix hospital on May 4.

Michaels is reportedly stepping up his physical therapy to get back in shape for the Mississippi show on his postponed Roses & Thorns Tour. That outing was first interrupted when Michaels underwent an emergency appendectomy on April 12.

At a May 4 press conference, Michaels' doctors said he was doing well, walking and talking and expected to make a 100 percent recovery. At the time, physicians said he was still subject to painful blood clots, back pain and headaches. His doctor predicted at the time that Michaels might be able to resume regular activities within four to six weeks but said that he warned Michaels not to make any promises about when he would get back to work.

Do you think Bret Michaels is pushing himself too hard to get back to work? Or is he just doing what he loves? Sound off in the comments.

Tom Cruise Talks Suri, Stunts And Scrabble On 'Oprah'

Maybe the key was that there was no couch this time. When Tom Cruise stopped by "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Friday (May 14), the Hollywood star and the talk show host each sat on beige chairs, and so there was no chance of repeating his infamous couch-jumping incident in 2005 — that indelible moment of pop culture history that had Oprah saying, "You're gone!" and the rest of the world agreeing with her.

Or perhaps they'd already moved on, seeing as how the two had already rehashed the wacky episode during a 2008 interview at Cruise's Telluride home. In any event, their talk on Wednesday focused on Cruise's career, his wife, Katie Holmes, and how the couple raises their children in the midst of constant media and paparazzi attention.

"We don't make it a problem," Cruise — who is one of the presenters at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards next month — said. "We don't get nervous about it. You get used to it after so long, and Kate is a very relaxed person, and you just deal with it."

Addressing how his 4-year-old daughter Suri has become a constant presence in tabloid magazines and recognized for her burgeoning fashion sense, he said, "Whatever she wants to wear, she wears it. I'm not going to tell her different. She's got great taste, too. She tells me what to wear."

When Cruise and Holmes are not a film set, they make sure to spend their evenings together at home with their families. "Saturday night we have dinner, and then it's games," he said. "We play Quick Scrabble, and then it's usually movie night. We spend the whole night figuring out what movies we want to see."

Usually they watch new releases, but every so often his kids request to see one of their dad's old flicks. Cruise's upcoming movie is "Knight and Day," an action-comedy co-starring Cameron Diaz. Cruise did almost all his own stunts.

"I'm always thinking of different stunts," he said. "I look at buildings and think, how could I climb it? How could I jump out? I was working on this ... and I said, 'Look, we've got to do something where Cameron is on the bike and I get to flip her around and she shoots guns.' I'm very careful about it when I do it — very studied, but I enjoy it. When I was a little kid, I used to go up on a roof and jump off the roof into the snow and do flips and stuff, and now I get to do it in movies."

Jay Sean Would 'Love To Work With Rihanna' On Next Album

Sorry, Jay Sean fans. If you were expecting a new song to follow his first two Stateside singles "Down" and "Do You Remember," you'll be disappointed. While many a message board (and Sean himself, at one point) touted the ballad "War" as his third single, the pop/R&B singer has, in fact, moved on — not on to another gem from his U.S. debut, All or Nothing, but a brand-spankin'-new album.

"We are basically straight on to the next one," Sean told MTV News when we caught up with him at the New York studio of the Orange Factory, the production outfit behind the majority of All. "I was already halfway through the album by the time 'Do You Remember' was hitting radio. We listened to it, and we were like, 'You know what? I want to hit them with something fresh right now, not something that is off [this] album. Let's go now, while we are ahead of the game, while we are ahead of the curve.' "

Last September, Jay Sean became the most successful male U.K. urban artist in U.S. chart history, with "Down" topping the Billboard Hot 100. The singer is now well on his way to releasing a new album.

"I'd say we are three-quarters done," Sean said. "The majority of the album is [produced] by the Orange Factory, the same people who did 'Down' and 'Do You Remember.' I think this album is a little more grown and sexy. Not saying that I've grown older and sexier, but for me, this album is a natural progression. And that's where I wanted to go and where it felt right.

After dropping two singles, boasting the likes of Lil Wayne, Sean Paul and Lil Jon, the artist from Hounslow, England, already has a few more exciting partnerships in the can for this next project — and another he's hoping will come to fruition. And Sean recently made his own guest feature on Mary J. Blige's emotional "Each Tear."

"She's actually gonna be on my album as well," Sean said of Blige. "You're gonna see Pitbull on the album. Wayne, of course. We are gonna get some of the Young Money characters involved. But really, I'd love to work with Rihanna. So I'm gonna see if I can come up with the right song for that."

Swizz Beatz Wants To 'Get Really Involved' In Arts Education

'I just feel that it's so important to really be a part of something that's so amazing and helpful,' the producer says.
By Shaheem Reid

Photo: MTV News

Swizz Beatz met with some of his younger fans Thursday in his hometown of the Bronx, New York. The super-producer is not just giving his time and energy to help mold youthful minds, but he's teaching them some of his skills and donating his money. Swizz has adopted the Bronx Charter School for the Arts, which incorporates arts education with social skills and other academics for its elementary-age students.

"I've been doing things in that world [of art], but I wanted to take it up another notch and get really involved," Swizz said. "A lot of people can go to charities and donate certain things and go back to their life — that doesn't mean the problem is over or the demand or need for a youth is over. I just feel that it's so important to really be a part of something that's so amazing and helpful full-time."

Swizz hopes that when influential and successful individuals get involved in charities they sincerely care about the work.

"[I hope they mean it], as opposed to, 'I'mma go to this charity so I could feel better' — that's how people look at it. 'It's a good look if I do this.' But I think it's a good look if you do it for real and maintain for real. I'm from the South Bronx and the school is not too far from Jackson Avenue, where I used to live — St. Mary's projects. It's just super amazing to see kids that come from the 'hood with so much positive energy in this negative world.

"It's always something amazing going on," he added about the school. "Yesterday I was there and they got this play called 'Seussical.' It's like a Broadway play for real. They got their stuff together. They got an art auction. I'm gonna get all the celebrities and people I know to make adopting charter schools the thing to do, especially for art. Those are the programs being taken away and those are the programs that help our kids. We can't take that away. That's the thing right there that keeps the kids there motivated with hope. When you' re talking arts and music and different things like [that], which is still a learning [tool] from these things — no disrespect to any other subject. They're able to teach the kids all the fundamental things in the world through art and music."

Swizz said he's working out a deal now where he can donate some of the proceeds of his next album to the Bronx Charter School for the Arts as well as other children in need of arts education. There's no release date, but Swizz — who's featured in the new video for Diddy-Dirty Money's "Hello, Good Morning" — has been staying busy in the lab working on tracks for Diddy, Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes and has also submitted records for Dr. Dre's Detox LP.

Queen Latifah Says Common Brought 'Dynamics' To 'Just Wright'

Posted: 14 May 2010 03:19 AM PDT

'I could no longer walk out onto a set and look at a bunch of white males,' Queen says of her producer role.
By Jayson Rodriguez

Photo: MTV News

"Just Wright," which opened Friday (May 14), is Queen Latifah's fifth film as a producer. The hip-hop icon says that she tries to make each project reflect her reality — and that's how Common ended up cast in his first lead role.

"Every time that I do a movie, when I get into a position of power and my voice actually meant something, I realized that I could no longer walk out onto a set and look at a bunch of white males," she told MTV News. "That was just no longer acceptable. I need to see dynamics. I needed to see what I just came out of from walking off the street when I came in here. Where are the women? Where are the people of color? I need to see that in front of me, 'cause I just don't feel like it's right."

According to Latifah, Common was the perfect candidate for the role, but the witty MC still had to prove his mettle with the production team.

"There's a difference, man," Common said about being a leading man. " 'Cause I remember, specifically, my first [role] doing 'Smokin' Aces,' I got there at, like, 6 in the morning — I was sitting in the trailer, and I wasn't thinking about listening to music, 'cause I wanted to stay focused. I was just sitting there focused, and then they called lunch at 12, and I thought, 'Dang, they ain't doing the scene yet?' And then we went back, and then it was 5 o'clock, and they told me they didn't need me for the day, and I'd been zoning in the whole time! So I'm getting changed, and 20 minutes later they come back, 'Hurry up, get into the scene.' That let me know it's a roller coaster in this thing, and you just got to be prepared. But as a leading man, you're there, boom, you gotta be working every day."

Latifah said she hopes to continue promoting untapped talent to move up the ladder in Tinsel Town.

"If I'm here, if I made it here and I don't do my part to make sure that the set is more dynamic," she said, "and I don't mean hire unqualified people, but go find some qualified people in these areas and make sure when I look up I'm looking at a little bit more of a rainbow around here. 'Cause that makes me feel better. It makes me feel blessed to be in a position to do it."

Adam Lambert looked like he was channeling the ghost of Ziggy Stardust on the set of the video for his latest single, "If I Had You." Filmed early Thursday morning in Los Angeles' Griffith Park, the clip looks like it will be a typically over-the-top affair with lots of elaborate costumes, face paint and a woodsy setting, where last year's "American Idol" runner-up hosts a kind of Cirque du Soleil dance party.

Before the shoot, Lambert tweeted on Wednesday, "Gearing up for an all night video shoot for 'If I Had You,' " which he followed with the tidbit, "Invited a bunch of my performer friends to cameo in the video. It's gonna be one big happy family!" Lambert, you might recall, was a frequent contributor to Los Angeles' anything-goes "Zodiac Show" before auditioning for "Idol," where he often shared the stage with circus-like performers while singing in outrageous, glitter-splashed costumes.

While a spokesperson for Lambert could not be reached for comment on the shoot, a reported casting call sent out a request for all manner of fire eaters, jugglers and twirlers for the clip, helmed by veteran director Bryan Barber (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera).

In a still released from the shoot, Lambert sports silver-and-black Kiss-style sparkly platform boots studded with metal spikes, white jeans and a white shirt underneath his signature spike-shoulder leather jacket, with a black lightning bolt painted over his left eye.

Once the shoot for the third single from his debut album, For Your Entertainment, wrapped, Lambert breathed a sign of relief, tweeting, "That's a wrap. Whew!" He added, "Big thanks to the amazing cast and crew of the 'If I Had You' music video!!"

On Friday (May 14), Paramore took time off from their spring tour to stop by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where they performed a somber, sweet version of their current single, "The Only Exception."

The performance — actually taped Thursday — showcased Paramore's burgeoning quiet side, with frontwoman Hayley Williams singing in hushed tones, her eyes tightly shut, and guitarist Josh Farro strumming the melody on an acoustic and singing backup. The band's other guitarist, Taylor York, added dreamy flourishes on an electric. Bassist Jeremy Davis and drummer Zac Farro played it similarly tight, laying down a muted, pretty backbeat.

It was a stately, refined performance, perfectly suited for daytime TV, and at the end, the audience cheered wildly, while Williams did a triumphant jig — apparently there were some real-deal Paramore fans in the crowd, too, as Williams finished her little dance and pointed and smiled to a section of the audience — and DeGeneres herself bounded onstage to thank the band, declaring, "I love them!" She then touted Paramore's Brand New Eyes album and announced that everyone in the studio audience would be receiving a copy.

Paramore will wrap their spring tour Sunday and, after a run of festival gigs in Europe, will return to the States to headline the Honda Civic Tour, which kicks off July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tegan and Sara, New Found Glory and Kadawatha will be joining them on the trek.

Williams can also be heard singing the hook on B.o.B's smash "Airplanes," and she's already planning to shoot her cameo in the video.

Almost six months after his former co-star and girlfriend Brittany Murphy died unexpectedly at the age of 32, Ashton Kutcher says he still cannot make sense of her passing.

In his first in-depth public comments about Murphy's death, Kutcher told ABC's "Nightline," "I don't think you can [make sense of her death]. I don't know if you try to make sense of it or not. I just celebrate who she was. She was like the person who walked in the room and she was always, like, the first person to dance.

"You know when you go to a party and everybody is standing around and the music is going and, you know, sooner or later everyone is going to dance," he continued. "She was always the first person to dance. And I just try to connect to that and celebrate who she was and how she was and not make sense of it, 'cause there is no sense of making sense of it."

MTV News got an inside look at Kutcher and Murphy's relationship when we visited the set of their 2003 film, "Just Married." "I learn something from that girl every day. She is a pro," he said. "She just brings it, man. She's really, really awesome. She makes me smile every day. She shows me something about my job every day. She's the best, man. I'll do anything with her, any movie, hands down."

But the couple eventually split and Murphy was long dogged by rumors of drug abuse and eating disorders. Her death in December 2009 was officially ruled a result of pneumonia. By that point, the former flames had largely lost touch.

"I mean, she came in, we were casting a TV show that we were producing, and I wanted her to play this role in it," Kutcher said. "And she came in, and I got to see her probably about two months before she passed away."

Lena Horne Funeral Attended By Family, Famous Friends

Lena Horne's funeral program

Jazz great Lena Horne, who died Sunday at age 92, was remembered by hundreds of mourners at New York's St. Ignatius Loyola church on Friday (May 14).

At the funeral — attended by Vanessa Williams, former Mayor David Dinkins and her grandaughter, actress Jenny Lumet — Horne was remembered by those who knew her as a girl from Brooklyn who became a world-renowned singer and actress and, in the process, lent her voice to those oppressed by decades of racism. But she was also so much more.

"[She] was so many ideas existing all at the same time, in the same space, and they were all conflicting, and they were all true," Lumet said, according to reports. "I've tried to sum her up and I can't. ... Summing up really means it's over, and I think she's not over and that she's quite infinite."

Horne's paternal grandparents were early members of the NAACP civil-rights organization, and in a precursor to her lifelong battle on behalf of equal rights, she was the cover girl for the organization's monthly bulletin in October 1919, when she was just 2 years old. She would go on to sing at Harlem's legendary Cotton Club, appear in Broadway productions and star in Hollywood films, though she would often refuse to play roles that portrayed blacks in subservient positions, which limited her appearances.

By the 1940s, she was the top-earning black performer in Hollywood, playing lucrative nightclub gigs and gaining popularity among black and white G.I.'s during World War II. Horne's sultry voice would go on to dazzle fans for decades on hits like "My Blue Heaven" and "Stormy Weather."

Upon learning of her death, a whole new generation of artists — including Alicia Keys, Diddy and Monica — remembered Horne as a pioneer and a prodigious talent, one the world would probably never see the likes of again.

3OH!3 Risked Mono, Braved Chatroulette For 'My First Kiss' Video

The duo were 'really dedicated to making this video,' Sean Foreman says of on-set kissing.

Earlier this week, we got the guys in 3Oh!3 to explain the basic premise behind their tonsil-hockey-heavy video for "My First Kiss." It sounded like a pretty sweet deal — just randomly smooching a bunch of very pretty strangers — but, as is the case with a lot of good things, there was a downside.

"Honestly, there is a lot of kissing, there's a lot of lips. I think we all have mono after today, so we're all going to get tested. We probably should've been tested before," 3OH!3's Sean Foreman told MTV News on the set of the "Kiss" video. "It's been really fun. We're actually dealing with a lot of visual concepts and making a video that attacks the senses in all ways. Kind of like a kiss. ... See? [I] tied it all in right there."

Although filming the video was taxing, Foreman and his partner in crime, Nat Motte, actually had a blast making it: screwing around with the green screen (plenty of riffs on the "We're in ... Delaware" routine from "Wayne's World") and trying very hard to make all the kissing as real as possible, even if that meant burning the midnight oil.

"We're working as hard as we can. Who knows how long it will go?" Foreman laughed. "We're really dedicated to making this video."

That dedication extended to the casting process. As Foreman put it, the band "flew in some of the best lips in the world" for the video, but that was only after a rather exhaustive pre-production process, one that could have resulted in a very different kind of clip.

"We went on the Chatroulette and found the best lips," Foreman joked. "We didn't find a lot of lips at first, but eventually. ... The video almost ended up being completely different, but I'm glad we finally got the lips."

"We found a lot of something else," Motte added. "We probably only could've run [that version of the] video online."

Drake's 'Find Your Love' Video Criticized By Jamaica's Tourism Minister

Official says of violent video, 'Gun culture is not enhancing [the island's image].'

Jamaica's minister of tourism has taken issue with Drake's "Find Your Love" video, which features the singer/rapper getting kidnapped by local thugs.

According to Jamaica's Gleaner, Edmund Bartlett said Drake and others who portray the island should be mindful of how they characterize their culture, which has had a history of violence predicated around drugs and poverty.

"We just have to say that care has to be taken by all, including our creative artists, in portraying images of our destination and people," Bartlett explained.

"Gun culture, while not unique to Jamaica, is not enhancing [the island's image]," he added.

In the video, which was filmed in Kingston, Drake pursues a would-be love who is already attached to dancehall artist Mavado, who plays a crime lord by the name of "Puffy."

The clip, directed by Anthony Mandler, features the Toronto MC pursuing his romantic interest only to be confronted by Mavado and his "dogs," or fellow gang members.

Throughout the video, images of guns, drugs and torches splash across the screen, leading up to the final scene, in which the object of Drake's desire is ordered to kill him by Puffy.

Mavado's manager defended the video, saying it was a scripted, creative narrative and that if his client, a native of Kingston, didn't participate, another actor would have jumped at the opportunity.

Besides, he emphasized, the concept was rooted in issues that ring true to Jamaica; if a film crew sees if fit to portray that, they should be free to move forward.

"The concept that they came up with, where did they come up with that? If Mavado did not do it, another Jamaican actor would have done it," Julian Jones-Griffith said. "There are a broad range of issues which need addressing if people from California want to portray a love story like this."

At press time, Drake, Mavado and Bartlett had not granted MTV News' requests for comment.

Jay-Z Talks LeBron James, Cavaliers' Loss

'LeBron and the Cavs knew this was going to be a war and a tough series,' Jay says of the Boston Celtics' upset.

The morning after LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers were bounced from the NBA Playoffs — an exit that very well may have also punched the superstar's ticket out of Cleveland, since he can opt out of his contract June 30 — Jay-Z, one of his closest friends (and part owner of the New Jersey Nets), phoned in to Stephen A. Smith's Fox Sports Radio program to weigh in on the situation.

While Jay didn't say where he thinks James will end up next season (though, thanks to his friendship with the King, and the salary-cap room the Nets have to work with, New Jersey seems to be a logical fit), he did give his take on the Cavs' elimination at the hands of the Boston Celtics — which he didn't find all that shocking, to be honest.

"The first thing I would say is, never really underestimate the heart of a champion," Jay told Smith. "Like, Boston just won a championship two years ago, and it was a great story for everyone to dismiss them and just say, 'This is going to be an easy series.' I think LeBron and the Cavs — because they're basketball players, they're not into media sensation — they knew this was going to be a war and a tough series.

"I think Boston got healthy at the right time, and I think the fact that a lot of them were out a lot of the year, it kind of worked in their favor, because a lot of them are rested," Jay continued. "They're rested and they're healthy at the right time, and this is a champion just two years ago. ... So this is not like a 16 seed; this is a real team. And [Celtics point guard Rajon] Rondo is playing like [onetime Celtics star] Nate Archibald or somebody, man. Who is this guy?"

Smith also grilled Jay on his relationship with new Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, an eccentric Russian billionaire who bought controlling interest of the team late last year (a deal that was approved by the NBA earlier this week). Jay said that he's already met with Prokhorov and that he plans to play an "active" role in the rebuilding of the franchise.

"I sat down with him, and we had a fantastic conversation, and there were things that I really wanted to make clear: that I wanted to be an active owner and this is something I really care about. It's not just a name cachet for me," Jay said. "It's just a thing that I love. I love sports. Everybody was happy about what I was saying, so it looks like I'll be taking a more active role in what's going on. ... Should be fun."

Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber were spotted getting sushi together in Hollywood. The video had many fans wondering if Cyrus, who once claimed Kurt Cobain was more her type than Bieber, and Bieber were the newest item on the Young Hollywood block. So when Bieber stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week to tape an episode airing on Monday, the hot-button discussion was his dinner with Cyrus.

The issue was initially brought up when DeGeneres asked Bieber if he had a girlfriend. His response? "Not really. Like, I'm dating around, hanging out with girls, but not really dating."

"Like hanging around with Miley Cyrus?" DeGeneres asked. Bieber, however, kept his response general.

"Just like hanging around with people ... just hanging out. Yeah, and just people ..." he said, adding that if fans really do their research, they can see he's been spending his time with lots of girls. "If you look on the Internet, you'll see other girls that I hang out with," he explained.

When the duo wasn't talking girls, Bieber's famous hair was also brought up. And the teen star explained that his coif is actually quite easy to maintain. "It all comes together. Like five minutes. Like, seriously," he said. "People are always like, 'Yeah, right.' I get out of the shower, I blow-dry it and then it's done in like five minutes."

But even though Bieber boasts of his low-maintenance 'do, he's very protective of it. When DeGeneres tried to cut his hair, Bieber quickly moved away, saying, "Hey! Hey!"

Perez Hilton, Lily Allen Back At War On Twitter

Latest feud began when gossip blogger posted pictures of singer crying at football match.

Lily Allen and Perez Hilton have a long (and quite amusing) history of Twitter feuds, stretching all the way back to the winter of 2009, when the two engaged in an epic war of words that culminated in the Brit songstress calling the blogger "a parasite" and "a cheap-ass whore."

It was pretty entertaining, to be honest.

Round two went down in August of the same year, when Hilton posted a photo of Allen on his Web site (with the caption "Lily Allen + Motherhood = Bad Idea") and linked to an interview she had given to Britain's OK! magazine, in which she said she wanted to retire from the music business and raise a family. Hilton used said interview to rip Allen's virtues as a wannabe mom, writing, "We foresee the afternoon that Lily gets so drunk, she confuses the playpen for the pig pen and her baby has to waddle in mud for hours before someone notices!"

Allen — who reportedly had suffered a miscarriage the previous year — was somewhat understandably upset and ripped into Hilton, calling him "an evil bastard" and threatening legal action. (Hilton, of course, responded with "I love you too! xoxo.")

It was sort of disgusting, to be honest.

And now, well, the two are back at it again. Late Thursday, Hilton posted pictures of Allen "sobbing out all the vodka" while attending the UEFA Europa League Final match between Fulham FC (whom she supports) and Atlético Madrid. Fulham lost, 2-1, which might explain why Allen was caught crying on TV — who knows, maybe she's into sports — but, according to Hilton, her tears were due to the fact that "she must have gotten waaaaaasted during the match ... we bet the players couldn't concentrate with the RANK smell of booze and despair seeping off of her in the crowd."

Classy. Anyway, of course, this angered Allen, who linked to Hilton's post and wrote, "Yeah, sure, I got wasted sitting next to my granddad," and then pointed out the fact that there were plenty of pictures of other famous Fulham fans drinking during the match, but Hilton didn't post any of those.

"That guy is a such a woman-hating retard," she wrote. "There are pictures of Hugh Grant at the same game sipping pints, he didn't publish those though ... oh, and p.s. [Perez], I was up the next morning in London doing promotion for WWF's Rainforest Rescue at 6 a.m., so go pick on someone else."

Hilton, of course, responded, claiming he was offended that Allen called him a "retard," and then hit back at her, writing "Oh, and P.S. You're a tw--! Xoxo."

As of press time, Allen had yet to respond to that barb, perhaps signaling the end of this feud. Hilton, on the other hand, has since gotten back to business as usual.
