"Denzel, watch out," DJ Khaled laughed. "I'm coming!"

Khaled not only got a chance to say lines, but he also was involved in action scenes during the recent filming of his video for "Fed Up." Usher, Drake, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross all came to Miami for another of the DJ's now-signature mammoth posse cuts.

The chaos starts when Khaled brings a briefcase — with special contents — to a meeting with some underworld bosses.

"I can tell they trying to set me up," Khaled described of himself in the Gil Green-directed video. "The boss that I am, I'm on my P's and Q's. When they said the deal is off, I let them know the streets is fed up."

Khaled then has to jump through a window to escape. Luckily, Young Jeezy is pushing the getaway whip.

"Jeezy was there waiting on me in the exotic car," Khaled said. "One of the fastest cars in the world. I jump in that, me and Jeezy are out! Jeezy goes in [rapping], speaking his mind. I'm with him. Then he sees the Maybach. He pulls over, I jump out the car into the Maybach with Rick Ross. Ross is getting interviewed, but he says, 'Come on.' DJ Envy, he's in the Maybach too. He's helping me get away."

The chase doesn't stop there. Khaled goes from the Maybach to the docks, where Drake is on a boat. From the boat, Usher hovers above in a helicopter where he lends a helping hand to the DJ.

Khaled said he was especially impressed with Usher's performance on a rooftop and in a tunnel, where they had to stop traffic.

"We're getting it off, letting the people know we're here," Khaled said. "Usher does the most amazing performance ever. Usher is singing, kicking the camera. His energy is wild. When I say Usher is going in, I thought I was seeing Michael Jackson. The whole time, his energy, he repped. He just was going in. He gave us a helluva performance. I thanked him 100 times. He don't do too many features. It was fun. He's a great person."

The video ends with Khaled revealing what is worth risking life and limb for inside the briefcase.

"That's the setup for the next single, 'Put Your Hands Up,' " Khaled said. "I let them know it's coming. It's some movie sh--. It was a three-day shoot. It's gonna be the best video in the game."

For those asking where Lil Wayne is in the video, he's not there. Although he appears in a new version of "Fed Up," Wayne never intended to be in the video.

"Wayne jumped on the song later," Khaled explained. "I'll call that the 'just added version.' He just showed love and jumped on."

"Fed Up" is the first single from Khaled's upcoming LP Victory, which drops next year.

Who Was Adam Lambert Flipping Off During AMA Performance? He Explains ...

'The finger was to the people that have been criticizing me ... the people who doubt me ... the people that were about to censor me,' 'American Idol' star says.

Adam Lambert has spoken publicly several times about his controversial performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday. It was a performance that had him singing his single, "For Your Entertainment," while dancing provocatively, falling, kissing a male bandmate and (in a move missed by many) extending his middle finger.

"We were having a good time," he told MTV News on Tuesday (November 24) about the performance, adding that as soon as he gave the finger he knew he had taken things to another level.

"Literally, as I did it, I went, 'Oh god, what am I doing?' " he explained. "I was out of body. You know, the finger was to the people that have been criticizing me. The finger was to the people who doubt me. The finger was to the people that were about to censor me. The finger was not to fans or people who support me at all, by any means.

"The finger was to Out magazine's editor who wailed into me, people like that," he continued. "It wasn't premeditated; it just kind of happened. In the end ... it was to prove freedom of expression and to prove I am in control of my situation. I am an artist and I'm here to express myself. My intention wasn't to upset people."

As for his now-infamous kiss with keyboardist Tommy Ratliff, he said that in rehearsal he had only pulled his hair. So Ratliff was expecting something — but not a big, very public kiss.

"He did not know! No — during rehearsal I grabbed him by the hair and kind of just looked at him," Lambert said. "He's straight, but not married. He's single. I guess he didn't mind getting kissed in the name of entertainment."

Lady Gaga could have easily gone up in flames during her fiery American Music Awards performance on Sunday night, but things got really dangerous during her bloody VMA performance back in September.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Gaga recalled leaving MTV execs speechless when she brought up her bizarre plan for the performance.

"For my MTV performance, I still keep learning about what I was trying to say," she told MTV News. "I just knew I had to bleed to death for four minutes on TV, and I remember telling MTV, and they were really quiet on the other end of the line. And it was silent, and then they said, 'OK, Gaga, we're gonna make it happen. If that's your vision, were gonna do it.' "

Gaga dressed in all white, covered in blood, in a very "Phantom of the Opera"-esque setting, to comment on the world of celebrity. "I wanted to say something about how the celebrity sort of has this inevitable demise that we love to watch," she said. "But are we killing them or are they killing themselves? And do they love the fame and need it but not really want it? And why, when the cameras are there, do they shy away? But if the cameras were there for someone else, would they be jealous?"

Gaga wanted to share with the world her obsession with dead starlets.

"I also remembered my obsession with young women when I was younger that died," she explained. "Beautiful young actresses and poets. Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and Sylvia Plath, these young women that died that we never saw their death. We see the deaths of these other women, but we don't see their death. So I think I wanted to show that, and in my showing that, if you're wondering what I'm going to look like when I die, here it is."

Britney Spears Channeled 'Classy' Madonna In 'Radar' Video

'I felt empowered by referencing Madonna's video,' director Dave Meyers says.

Britney Spears has been compared to Madonna since she leapt onto the pop scene, dancing around in a schoolgirl uniform. The two did eventually hook up for "Me Against the Music," but Britney's video for "Radar," from her Circus album, really paid tribute to the pop queen and her ultra-glamorous Bedtime Stories period.

In the video, Britney is stuck in a love triangle with two very sexy polo players, who spend a good part of their time trying to woo Spears or riding their horses. Spears hooked up with "Boys" director Dave Meyers for an ode to Madonna's "Take a Bow."

"That was the premise behind 'Radar.' [We were] looking for a way to take her into a contemporary, classy environment," Meyers explained. "I felt empowered by referencing Madonna's video. Britney hasn't done anything like that."

Meyers had a very clear idea of how he wanted the story line to work. "There is a narrative going on, a romantic triangle on a weekend at this polo mansion," he said. "A soap-opera romance."

Britney apparently got nervous around the guy playing her lover (not her official boyfriend) in the clip, but Meyers said that shyness captured the essence of Britney. "She was really shy with this guy. She's really pretty here too," he said. "I think it's the Britney a lot of us know and love. It was nice to bring that out in her."

Despite the song's midtempo dance groove, the video is noticeably choreography-free. "I don't miss the dancing," he said. "When I watch, I feel like all the cuts and the dissolves keep the pace of the song alive."

With the release of Britney Spears: The Singles Collection, MTV News is looking back on the pop star's career through interviews with video directors, music-industry insiders and Spears herself, as she reflects on some of her greatest hits. 50 Cent certainly can't be accused of not speaking his mind.

Late Monday, the G-Unit general phoned in to DJ Green Lantern's Sirius Satellite radio show and discussed the lukewarm early sales for his latest LP, Before I Self Destruct — and Jay-Z's possible dig at him during Sunday night's American Music Awards. During his acceptance speech, Jay said, "Men lie, women lie — numbers don't," and then burst out laughing, which many perceived as a response toward 50's recent baiting of Hov.

"He's said that before," 50 said. "I didn't really take that as disrespect. If you wanna be disrespectful, just be disrespectful. Once we start I'm not gonna stop. I'll make you aware of that, 'cause I'm not the type of guy that goes away. So if that's the kind of energy we getting ready to go into, then let's do it!"

50 also discussed his new LP, which looks poised for a lukewarm debut on the charts in its first week out — Hits Daily Double estimated that its debut-week sales will be in the range of 150-160,000. His three previous albums all easily surpassed 500,000 units sold in their first weeks, although in a much more robust album market than today's.

"For me this album is a prequel — it's full circle," 50 said. "When the energy around a project is the way this is, you can't really feel like it's a failure. Like, I look at the numbers and am like, 'What is this?' I've already assessed that the album has been out a month before its actual release period [due to an online leak, and the album's early digital release due to the leak]. So when you got that, you go, 'Well, what did you actually expect?'

"For myself, I'm asking myself, 'What did you expect, bro? Your fans got it when it was available, at the first available opportunity.' "

Shakira probably isn't the first name that comes to mind when you think of hip-hop. But since the Colombian pop superstar enlisted the services of Pharrell and Lil Wayne on her latest album, She Wolf, that could change.

"[I'm] starting to understand and assimilate and internalize hip-hop music and hip-hop influences, so I'm trying to incorporate them within my own music," she told MTV News. "Which is a new thing in my life, and I'm completely over the moon. I'm like a kid with a new toy. I'm playing with these new ideas."

The video for her collaboration with Lil Wayne, "Give It Up to Me," recently debuted, and while she realizes she'll never be the next Foxy Brown, Shakira explains that her use of hip-hop is just what music is about today: There are no genre rules anymore.

"I'm never going to be a hard-core hip-hop singer," she said. "I come from Colombia, but I think music today ... it's about bringing elements that belong to different universes, even though they're opposed or similar, and making them exist in this big melting pot that the world is today. The world has shrunk and we're just a big neighborhood, and it's kind of cool."

Shakira also praised the talents of her collaborator Weezy, explaining that his rhymes and work with Timbaland influenced her sound. "I absolutely adore [him]," she said. "I love his rapping and with Timbaland, it's great. It's opening up another influence for me."

In early October, paparazzi photos popped up on the Web of "New Moon" star Taylor Lautner running in the ocean in a soaking wet T-shirt while cradling a football. We knew the setup was for a Rolling Stone shoot by renowned photographer Mark Seliger (who shot Megan Fox's October RS cover). What we didn't know was if Lautner's shoot was for the cover and when the photos would be published.

Now we have answers. Lautner appears on the cover of the December 10 issue in that same white T-shirt, frothy waves behind him and the football clutched behind his head. In the accompanying article, the "Twilight" werewolf opens up about what he called the crazy luck that made him one of 2009's breakout stars and his rumored relationship with Taylor Swift.

"We got along great," he said of working with Swift on the upcoming romantic comedy "Valentine's Day." "We instantly clicked. And she's -- she's an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she's extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, so we definitely get along. We're close."

Lautner strategically stopped short of confirming or denying whether the duo are dating. But the actor was more forthcoming when it came to discussing his growing stardom. "This could have happened to anybody who played Jacob," Lautner said of his character. "I was just lucky enough to be the one that has that opportunity. I'm so grateful. It's 'Twilight.' It's not me personally."

Rolling Stone also spoke with "New Moon" star Kristen Stewart, who kidded Lautner about his eating habits but suggested they offer a window into who the 17-year-old really is. "He's so picky," she said. "I was the first person who got him to eat sushi. He's very set in his ways. But that is very informative of his personality. He's very steady. He has a really solid sense of himself."

Lady Gaga Sings About Loving 'Something Bad For You' On 'Monster'

Lady Gaga is exorcising her demons on her latest album, The Fame Monster. One is her fear of death. Another is her fear of relationships, which she addresses on the song "Monster."

"It's the fear of attachment and the fear of loving something that's bad for you," she told MTV News about the track. "If you listen to the lyrics, it's like being in love with the bad boy all the time, and you keep going back for more."

In "Monster," Gaga says she needs a stable relationship. "I keep falling in love with the monster," she said. "But what I really need is the security and the safety and the womanhood, responsibility of my femininity. And so that's what that song is about."

Gaga recently told MTV News that her music and performances are on extension of her belief that as an artist, she lives her private life in the public world. "To me, being an artist is being private in public," she explained. "So I'm being private in public every night, and all my monsters and my fears went leaping out of me and I just began to write."

Sporting a pair of black sunglasses and a black jacket with shoulder pads the size of her head, Lady Gaga sang "Bad Romance" on Monday night's "Jay Leno Show." Male backup dancers dressed in black suits and S&M headgear helped remove her jacket after the first chorus so she could dance more freely, maybe too freely, as her low-cut tank may have veered into wardrobe-malfunction territory on a couple of occasions.

Adam Lambert Says New Video Is 'Not Quite As Graphic' As AMA Performance

On Friday, two days before his boundary-pushing performance at the American Music Awards, Adam Lambert told MTV News that the planned act would be a stylistic extension of his "For Your Entertainment" music video.

"It's really sexy," he said, mentioning that the band from the AMAs is also featured in the video.

Based on the polarizing response to the performance -- with 1,500 viewers registering complaints with ABC and others defending the singer's right to artistic freedom — is it possible Lambert and his team will scale back the "sexy" in the music video?

In an interview Tuesday (November 24), just hours before the video was set to premiere, Lambert was doubtful any changes had been made. But he did admit that director Ray Kay most likely had to tone down some of the singer's antics in the edit room.

"There was stuff in the performance of the video that was probably edited out," Lambert said. "It was his artistic choice at that point, which I respected. He's a great director."

Ultimately, though, the choice to make hasty edits to the video (or to resist them) wasn't one the "American Idol" runner-up could make. "I wasn't really in full control of the editing process of the video," he said. "That was the director's vision."

So what exactly will viewers get when the video debuts? "It's kind of the same energy," Lambert said, comparing the video to the AMA performance. "The styling is similar. The choreography is similar. It's not quite as graphic. That just kind of happened. It was very impromptu."

While "American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert is dealing with the fallout from his controversial performance on the American Music Awards, his pal and "Idol" winner Kris Allen stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday (November 24) and joked with the host about how closely tied his career has been to Lambert's thus far.

"I think everyone is going to put us together, no matter what happens," he said. "But it's cool. People can't compare us musically at all ... or in our lives. We stayed really good friends. We hung out the other night."

Allen has been married for a little over a year, and told Ellen that he was excited to finally be able to bring his wife Katy out on the road. "We're doing some Christmas shows, some promo for the album," he said. "She's gonna come to some stuff. It'll be good. She wasn't able to come on the 'Idol' tour — there were some rules where she couldn't [come] on the bus."

The current "Idol" champ, who sang his single "Live Like We're Dying" off his freshly released self-titled debut album, also discussed how he found his one and only in his wife, whom he's known for the last eight years. "People are like, 'Why'd you get married so young?' And I was like, 'I just knew,' " he revealed, causing the audience to audibly swoon. "Oh gosh, I wasn't trying to be cuddly and nice [when I said that]. If you know, you know. I didn't want to try anything else."
