Eminem Freestyles During German TV Interview

"Cha Cha Cha." Not the famous rap song MC Lyte brought to life in the 1980s, the "Cha, Cha, Cha."

Eminem appeared on the German program "TV Total" earlier this week, and not only gave an interview, but kicked a freestyle over a beat host Stefan Raab called "Cha, Cha, Cha," while Raab and the house band played along.

"Here I go, lyr-ree-cal/ I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm spir-rit-ual. ... I have no f---in' clue, what the f--- I'm doing," he reiterated in his rap before the talk show host sang.

Slim Shady also sat down for a interview, coming out in comical form, briefly wearing an anti-swine flu mask — and even began talking into the mic through it. He also learned several German swear words and heard about German rappers. Em also took some liberties with the loose broadcasting laws in Germany.

"I f---in' love it here! I can f---ing say anything. Hey look, it's raining d---s!" he yelled.

When the host asked him why he's been gone for the last four years, Em chalked it up to "drugs" and (less seriously) playing Ms. Pacman and, er, pleasuring himself.

Getting a little more serious, he talked briefly about his drug abuse.

"I went through a tough time with it — five, six years I struggled with it," Em said. "I'm a little over a year sober."

Em's new LP, Relapse, comes out on May 19 and on Thursday snippets of his video "Crack a Bottle" hit the Net. Preceding that clip were, of course, "We Made You" and "3 A.M."

Another single, "Old Time's Sake," was released to iTunes officially on May 5. The next song, "Beautiful," officially goes to the iTunes on May 12.

Hear Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown Right Now On 'The Leak'

MTV is streaming the album a week before its release!

We've been writing about it for nearly three years now — since May 19, 2006, to be exact — covering every stop, start, rumor and sideproject that led to its creation. And now, you can finally hear what all the fuss is about.

Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown is here. Even though it doesn't hit stores for another week, MTV is premiering the album right now, in its entirety, on "The Leak."

Back in 2006, Billie Joe, Mike and Tre promised that the album would be "an event," then they got to work writing the thing (of course, they took a break to record a version of "The Simpsons" theme), and start a garage-rock side-project too.

In early '08, they confirmed to MTV News that they were taking time off from recording the album to masquerade as the Foxboro Hot Tubs, then began fielding rumors that they were working on Breakdown with legendary producer Butch Vig, (rumors they would confirm with a YouTube clip and a middle finger).

Then, in February of this year, we finally got to hear some of what they'd been working on. The band previewed six songs from Breakdown for MTV News, which we lauded for their "hooks, ambition and sheer bombast." In April, they premiered the flame-heavy video for the first single, "Know Your Enemy" on multiple MTV properties worldwide, then sat down with us for an in-depth interview about the album.

And earlier this week, we published our preview of Breakdown, praising Armstrong's lyrical breadth and the band's musical scope, calling the album "subtle and smart ... with the brains and wherewithal to realize that there isn't just one enemy, there are hundreds of them, and they're hiding everywhere."

But that's just our take ... now, after all the waiting, it's your turn. Head on over to "The Leak"and judge for yourself!

We'll have lots more on Green Day and 21st Century Breakdown during Green Day week, starting Monday!

Just a day after photos appeared online of Cassie posing nude, another nude picture of the singer has popped up online. The new photo is even more graphic than the first set, showing Cassie fully nude and posing in a very provocative fashion.

Many celebrities have taken to their Twitter pages to react to the photos. Former Danity Kane member D. Woods Tweeted about the leak, writing, "Cassie gonna sell some albums this round. Y'all see this nude internet photo?"

Meanwhile, Diddy, who has been romantically linked to Cassie in past and has mentored the singer throughout her career, came out in support of the singer. "Turn this one up real loud and dance on dem bi---es!!!!" he wrote to Cassie on Twitter, linking to a music video for the song "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John. "Let's Go!!!"

Other celebrities — like Fabolous, who has worked with Cassie in the past — made light of the photo scandal. "Not really a gym type'a dude," he Tweeted. "But Memorial Day weekend comin. I'mma be in Miami by the pool all day and the top gotta come off ... right Cassie?"

Another Cassie collaborator, Ray J, also weighed in on the photos, Tweeting, "I've seen some small t---ies 2nite!!! On the internet hahahaha, they looked good tho." And, in his usual fashion, celeb blogger Perez Hilton told MTV News, "She sure likes her piercings — all over!"

At press time, a rep for the singer had not granted MTV News' requests for comment.

After the initial photos hit the Web, Cassie took to her blog and Twitter to confirm that it was her in the photos. "The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the Internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer," she wrote on her blog. "These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see, and it's sad that people would really take time to steal and post them, it's just evil. At the end of the day, breasts are breasts, mine weren't the first you've seen and they won't be the last. ... People need to grow up, let's move on. Thank you."

T.I. Boots Alfamega From Grand Hustle Records

T.I. has banished Alfamega from the Grand Hustle Records family. Alfamega was scandalized earlier this week when the SmokingGun.com published a report and purported legal documents saying that Mega was an informant for the drug enforcement administration during a trial on a heroin trafficker.

The allegations obviously didn't sit well with T.I., who himself is going to jail because one of his bodyguards decided to work with the authorities in Tip's well-publicized 2007 gun-buying sting. The Grand Hustle CEO's voice was heard loud and clear as he read a statement on Atlanta's 107.9, according to MissInfo.tv.

"Even though all our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history, at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media," Tip said in the statement. "He essentially deceived us by failing to fully disclose the truth about his past, and there is no place in our organization for dishonest and misleading behavior. As I have always said, you must take responsibility for your own actions. We at Grand Hustle can not support or condone the blaming of others for our own mistakes. I hope and pray to God, bless his savings plans, but I don't foresee me or my company playing a role in his personal or professional business."

Last summer, Alfa featured Tip on the single "Uh Huh," which was supposed to be the first record from his debut, I Am Alfamega. The album was due out last winter but has never seen the light of day. Mega's last big splash came at the Dirty Awards in late November 2008, when he was maced and handcuffed by police after getting into a scuffle with Shawty Lo's crew.

"It escalated, dawg," Alfa said of the November melée. "What happened with me — Tip had nothing to do with that. It just happened. They was performing the song, I was like, 'Let's have fun.' I start dancing. I'm feeling good. That's my boy, Yung L.A., he made it. I get on top of the table, Shawty gets on the table. Shawty fakes like he's gonna throw a drink on me. By then I stepped down."

It was all chaos from there. Alfa has been unable to be reached for comment since the Smoking Gun story broke.

Katy Perry and her new BFF Rihanna have been seen painting the town red in New York and even vacationing together in Barbados in recent weeks. After all that quality time racked up between the two pop superstars, it seems like a duet or collaboration would be the likely next step for the ladies.

"I wouldn't mind!" Perry told "Extra" when asked about working with her friend at a People magazine party Wednesday night in New York City.

Perry said that Rihanna, whom she first met at last year's Jingle Ball shows, is doing well since her alleged altercation with Chris Brown and the media frenzy that followed it. "She's fine," Perry told the show. "She's happy. Happy girl. ... She's smiling."

Since the two pop stars became friends, Perry said they've avoided discussing the incident. "We're just friends. I don't get into her business," Perry added. "I think people don't really know the situation of what's going on unless they're in the situation. ... I think it's respectful to not even talk about it."

In addition to the People party, which Rihanna reportedly attended later in the night, the girls were been seen enjoying themselves at Tillman's Bar and Lounge on Tuesday night. And on Monday night, Rihanna attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala, her first appearance on the red carpet since before the Grammys.

"Of course I consider her a friend, but it's not like 'I'm there,' making a big deal of it, because I feel weird about that type of stuff," Perry told MTV News of their friendship last month. "I'm trying to always be there for my friends. She's a really cool chick. I love her style. ... She's one of those unaffected people."

NEW YORKJadakiss sat with all of hip-hop's big bosses, including Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, in the new video for "Respect My Conglomerate." Now, the Yonkers, New York, lyrical champ is going to share a stage with another boss: Cam'ron. The two Big Apple stars are going on tour this summer, on the heels of their new duet, "Let's Talk About It."

"Shout-out to Jada, the whole D-Block," Cam'ron said Tuesday night after his show at Manhattan's Highline Ballroom.

Cam was a guest of Jada's at a concert at the Apollo Theatre earlier this year. In exchange, 'Kiss jumped on a track for Killa's Crime Pays LP.

"I did the show for Jada; he said he was gonna return the favor," Cam said. "And he kept it real, kept it 100. We just finished [the song] the day we put it out. We just finished it. Make sure you check that out too. Shout-out to everybody in the whole D-Block. We going on tour too. It's called 'The Bosses.' "

Cam just dropped a split video for "Cookies and Apple Juice" and "Silky."

"Video is crazy. We shot it in Miami," he said. "Lot of girls, lot of thongs, bikinis — lot of stuff I can't tell you on MTV, but it was just a lot. Excessive. Shout-out to everybody in Miami for coming through to the video."

Cam's Crime Pays comes out Tuesday. Another track he says to look out for is "Got It for Cheap."

"That's one of the oldest songs on the Internet," he said. "I did that about a year ago. Somebody did the hook. So I did it over, did the hook. It got a great buzz. It got, like, 8 million hits on the Internet. I felt the beat was real hard, I just went in on it."

Taking Back Sunday Change It Up On New Again

'The music behind it is unlike anything we've ever done before,' frontman Adam Lazarra says of the first single, 'Sink Into Me.'

Fans who have heard "Sink Into Me" — the first single off Taking Back Sunday's upcoming New Again album (due June 2) — have been abuzz about, well, just how different it sounds.

That, of course, was intentional.

"We wanted to put a new foot forward for the band ... to try to show people that we're expanding the music and we can do something different and it will work," guitarist Matt Fazzi told MTV News. "I just feel like every aspect of the band has taken a step forward. I think the chord turns and the song structures are just a little bit stronger and smarter. We've kind of collected this knowledge over time, just by writing songs, and I feel like we were able to put something together that was pretty unique ... it's kind of like we decided to wipe the slate clean and explore some different things."

And Fazzi was part of that slate-cleaning. He replaced much-admired guitarist Fred Mascherino — who left the band in 2007 to start a project of his own, the Color Fred — and immediately stepped into the process of writing New Again, an album that takes the tried-and-true TBS formula and turns it right on its ear. For better or worse.

"Is there any fear of alienating fans? I don't think so," Fazzi said. "I feel like we've established a nice middle ground for old Taking Back Sunday fans, plus I think we can win over some new ones."

And "Sink" is a pretty good indicator of where TBS is in 2009: big hooks, big drums and big choruses (plus big hand claps too). It's loud, proud and doesn't mess around ... which, again, was totally intentional.

"The music behind it is unlike anything we've ever done before. It's real upbeat and it's a song that when we start playing it live, will require a lot of crowd participation, which we're really looking forward to," frontman Adam Lazzarra said. "And the chorus ... we always try to open up in the chorus in the sense of the wider you open the doors, the more people you're gonna let in. It makes Kanye West sound like 'Sesame Street,' and that always makes me happy."

We're not really sure what that means. Regardless, TBS are moving forward with a new sound, (another) new member and a new record that's probably gonna earn them a whole new fanbase. And might just alienate a few of their older fans too. It's gonna be an interesting ride, for sure.

"I feel like the people who have been along for the ride will definitely stick with us," Fazzi said. "And the growth of the band will allow us to take more people onboard the party bus."

"It's a fun bus to be on," Lazzarra laughed.

After months of only getting to watch them on TV, the hometowns of all three "American Idol" finalists will finally get to see their favorite sons in the flesh on Friday (May 8). Since they advanced to the top three on Wednesday night, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen have all returned to their respective hometowns, which will throw elaborate homecomings for them that include parades, concerts and numerous public appearances.

(Are you in one of the "Idol" finalists' hometowns? Send us your photos, videos and stories!)

Gokey will be feted in Milwaukee, where, according to The Associated Press, his day will include some singing at the church where he is a worship leader, Faith Builders International Ministries, followed by visits to such Cream City landmarks as the bronze statue of "Happy Days" character the Fonz, the Harley-Davidson Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum and Discovery World, as well as a handful of radio and TV interviews.

Then, he'll be joined by Green Bay Packers players Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings, Nick Barnett and Ruvell Martin in a downtown parade that will end at the lakefront festival grounds, where the 29-year-old crooner will perform again for his hometown fans. The day will end with Gokey throwing out the first pitch and singing the national anthem before Friday night's Brewers/Cubs game at Miller Park.

Conway, Arkansas, native Kris Allen will have an equally busy day, with a series of radio and TV interviews in the morning, an appearance at an AT&T store in Shackleford, Arakansas, a photo shoot on the Arkansas Queen riverboat and a performance at the Riverfest Amphitheatre in Little Rock, according to the KrisAllenNation.com fan site, run by a friend of Allen's.

Kris will visit his alma mater, the University of Central Arkansas, where he will perform live in the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall at 3 p.m. and then participate in a parade in downtown Conway around 5 p.m., followed by an evening concert at Simon Park in Conway, which one of the organizers of the weekly Kris Allen Watch Parties predicted on Thursday could be one of the biggest gatherings in the town's history.

The show's leading contender, Adam Lambert, currently lives in Los Angeles, but will be celebrated in his hometown of San Diego, where his day will start with a live interview on the local Fox affiliate and some local radio spots. He will also visit an AT&T store — where he'll get a customized phone from the show's official telecom sponsor, according to SignOnSanDiego.com, then ride in a parade outside his high school, Mount Carmel High, which will conclude with an assembly for the school's students and staff. And, per Lambert's request, he will met and greet some of the school's drama and choir students after his two-song set at Sun Devil stadium.

Lambert will also visit two of the other schools he attended in the area, Deer Canyon Elementary and Mesa Verde Middle School and, in the afternoon, San Diego Sea World. Later in the day, according to KGTV, he'll greet Marines, sailors and their families at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar around 4:30 p.m.

Jane's Addiction Call Tourmates Nine Inch Nails 'Extended Family'

'There's a familial feeling within this tour,' Dave Navarro says of NINJA jaunt, which kicks off Friday night.

Eighteen years ago, they helped found Alternative Nation on the first-ever Lollapalooza tour. On Friday night (May 8), they'll hit the road together again.

Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction kick off their so-called NINJA 2009 jaunt Friday in West Palm Beach, Florida, marking the first time they've shared the stage together since Lolla '91. It's a double bill that makes an awful lot of sense — yet, for a whole lot of reasons, it almost never happened.

First and foremost, Jane's had to reunite with original (and long-estranged) bassist Eric Avery, which British music mag NME had a lot to do with.

"We weren't thinking of getting together at all. But we were called by NME magazine to receive this thing called the 'Godlike Genius Award,' and it flattered the sh-- out of us," Jane's frontman Perry Farrell told MTV News. "So everybody appeared to receive the award, and it started to dawn on everybody that it would be fun to [play music again]. We hadn't done it, in some cases, in 18 years, and it was one of those things that you try it out again, see if it feels good."

And that led to a series of Los Angeles club gigs and a fiery headlining slot at South by Southwest in March. It sounded great, and it felt even better.

"We've had an amazing time. We haven't worked with Eric in close to 17 years, and there's been a lot of different versions of Jane's Addiction," guitarist Dave Navarro said. "We've had amazing bass players over the years ... and they've all been amazing assets to those incarnations of the band, but there's something about having the original bass player, Eric Avery, who we wrote and crafted the songs with, in place that ... it's kind of like having the missing ingredient that you haven't had all these years."

So now it's on to the NINJA tour — which, as if it weren't already a huge enough event, might just also serve as Nine Inch Nails' farewell tour. But whatever ends up happening with NIN, the guys in Jane's can't wait for the kick-off. It's just like old times.

"We're about to go on a six-week tour with Nine Inch Nails, and something that I've never had the opportunity to do is get to know the other artists on the bill, for an extended period of time on a creative level, prior to a tour," Navarro said. "In a lot of ways, this tour really does feel like extended family, based on the creative time we spent together and, going all the way back to Lollapalooza number one, where we did a month and a half of touring with them, so — there's a familial feeling within this tour."

Paula Abdul Backpedals On Painkiller Addiction

'American Idol' judge now says she was never in rehab for addiction.
By Gil Kaufman

Shortly after admitting that a decade-long addiction to painkillers nearly killed her, "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul has retracted the claims. Abdul explained in an interview with Detroit radio station WKQI on Thursday morning that Ladies' Home Journal got it wrong in its June cover story on her struggle with prescription meds.

"It was very stressful for me to hear that and to be quoted saying something I never said," Abdul told the "Mojo in the Morning" show. "I've never checked into a rehab clinic. I've never been addicted or abused drugs, and I've never been addicted or abused alcohol. I've never even been drunk in my life."

Abdul, who debuted her new single, "I'm Just Here for the Music," on Wednesday night's "Idol" elimination show, now claims that the magazine's report that she checked into La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, to finally shake her dependence on pain medication was a misunderstanding.

In the Ladies' Home Journal interview, Abdul said the addiction caused some of her unusual past behavior. "I could have killed myself. ... Withdrawal — it's the worst thing. ... I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain, it was excruciating. But at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been."

Abdul told Mojo that she was simply relaxing at La Costa, not being treated for addiction. "It's a spa," she said. "I was there for almost three days having fun doing spa stuff. It's not a clinic. It's not a detox place. It's a luxurious spa. It's like taking a mini vacation. I just wanted to chill out and get massages and maybe a manicure and pedicure."

According to E! Online, Abdul said in a statement released on Thursday that she's never been addicted to drugs or entered rehab, adding that she spent three days at La Costa, not 30, as reported in the magazine.

A representative for the magazine told E!, "We stand by our reporting and are happy that Paula decided to share her journey with us."
