Britney Spears Throws Sweaty Dance Party In 'Till The World Ends' Video

Remember when Britney Spears threw a sweaty, dirty dance party in an unfinished apartment and slinked around wearing underwear over her pants in 2001's "Slave 4 U"? Well, the party is back, and it's as dirty as ever in the clip for "Till the World Ends," which premiered on Wednesday (April 6).

As befits the song title, the video takes place during the apocalypse, on December 21, 2012. Spears takes her party underground, beneath the sewers of an anonymous big city, somewhere in the world. As the buildings crumble around them and fiery masses fall from the sky, all Britney and her pals want to do is flirt and dance.

The video was shot in Los Angeles in mid-March, and though Spears complained to us about the "grimy and gross" shooting conditions in a dank warehouse, her energy never wavers in the finished product.

Directed by Ray Kay (Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga) and choreographed by Brian Friedman (who has worked with Britney throughout this current Femme Fatale era), the director's cut of the video is a sexy mash-up of Spears doing what she does best: groping half-naked guys, giving the camera bedroom eyes and being sassy in a number of leather jackets and skintight bodysuits, including a red one that seems to be a nod to her Martian Queen catsuit from "Oops!... I Did It Again." She smiles big and bright for the camera, and then looks sultry as she prances around and tosses her hair about like some dystopian siren. A closer look at her frisky pop-and-lock moves will be further explored in a choreography cut of the video to be released later on.

While Spears spends much of the party seemingly happy to be away from the dangers of the apocalypse outside, eventually she emerges to a world that didn't end, smiling as the sun bathes her in its warm glow.

Robert Pattinson Calls 'Breaking Dawn' Sex Scene 'Incredible'

Robert Pattinson has gone on record as being livid that photos of his "Breaking Dawn" sex session with Kristen Stewart have leaked on the Web. "Find out who these little sh--s are and just hack into their computers and destroy them," he instructed "Twilight" fans.

His beef was not only that the images represented raw footage, but that they spoiled a bit of the surprise that director Bill Condon and the rest of the "Twilight" gang have in store for audiences when the film hits theaters in November. And, as RPattz explained to us, they've got some special stuff planned.

"It's kind of incredible," he said. "I saw a prelim of it. [Bill] has really, really good ideas for it."

The tricky thing, of course, is to shoot a sex scene that lives up to the expectations of readers of Stephenie Meyer's book yet adheres to the restrictions of the MPAA's rating system. "We had some really interesting ideas about it," Pattinson explained. "It's kind of interesting, as well, having to do it in the context of PG-13.

"You can't do blatant," he added with a laugh. "That's all been done in other stuff anyway, like saying, 'You just do it really, really fast!' "

Rob should certainly know. "Bel Ami," his upcoming romantic drama co-starring Uma Thurman, features a whole lot of, er, blatant sexuality. How blatant? "Lot of my crack in it!" he laughed last summer. "I think there's quite a lot of nudity."

Britney Spears: The Origin Of The Super-Pop Species

Posted: 06 Apr 2011 03:52 AM PDT

With her new album sitting at #1, Bigger Than the Sound looks at Britney's unprecedented career.
By James Montgomery

By the time you read this, Britney Spears will have scored her sixth #1 debut with Femme Fatale, her latest installment of supersonic, stealth-fighter pop, a collection of songs equipped with laser-guided, heat-seeking hit missiles. In fact, Femme Fatale is more like an F-22 Raptor than an album.

Maybe I shouldn't be amazed that Brit finds herself atop the charts once again, but don't we live in austere times? Aren't Odd Future the only thing that matters these days?

I'm only sort of kidding. Because, frankly, each and every time Britney lands another #1, it's kind of like we've traveled through a wormhole and ended up in 1999, a time when the industry was still flush with cash and Lou Pearlman still lumbered the land. This was only 12 years ago, but it may as well have been 12 million.

These days, we still have plenty of pure pop stars, though none of them are quite like Britney. Lady Gaga is into performance art. Katy Perry is the California Gurl. Pink is the punky older cousin with a ton of tattoos. As is often the case with evolution, they have each developed specialized traits in order to survive. Britney is, in a lot of ways, the origin of the species (for simplicity's sake, I'm just ignoring Madonna, who basically did everything before any of this generation's stars were even teething). She was — and, I suppose, still is — the music industry's first attempt to promote a star that is everything to everyone. And each and every time she surfaces with a new album in tow, it signals the return of pop's Mesozoic era. For all intents and purposes, she may spend her time between albums trapped in amber, waiting to have her DNA extracted by some scientist.

This is by no means meant to come across as a slight against Spears. I fully understand why her fans love her the way they do, not to mention the fact that Femme Fatale is a heck of a pop record, a starry shadowbox of the coolest sounds you're likely to hear all year. It's more me simply marveling at the way she operates — in the cockpit of a high-powered fighter, making glossy, big-budget videos, putting on full-scale pop spectacles. There truly, honestly isn't anyone else like her.

We should take this opportunity to appreciate what Britney Spears — and her album — represent. She is the last super-pop star left standing. There was a time when everyone did things this way; now it's her and her alone. Spears is still everything to everyone, in a time when all we hear about are "niche markets" and "splintered genres," and for that alone, the success of Femme Fatale is noteworthy. Can she continue to survive among her more specialized peers? She's certainly earned the right to, though one gets the feeling she's probably not too worried about that fact. The thing about being the first is that there isn't really anything — or anyone — to compete against. So let others sweat the small stuff; Britney's only concerned with being Britney. Now and forever.

What do you think is the secret to Britney's success? Let us know in the comments!

Green Day Defeat Paramore In Musical March Madness Championship

The 2011 MMM title game went down to the wire, but in the end, it's Green Day who stand triumphant.
By James Montgomery

It's all over but the shouting (and there's still plenty of that): Green Day are the champions of MTV's 2011 Musical March Madness tournament, knocking off an upset-minded Paramore in Monday's title game to claim the crown.

Check out our MMM Bracket right here!

In a contest that was waaay more thrilling — and higher scoring — than the actual NCAA basketball championship game, the guys in Green Day jumped out to an early lead, then held on for dear life as Hayley Williams and company staged a furious second-half comeback ... one that, ultimately, fell short as polls closed at midnight. All in all, more than 120,000 votes were cast in the matchup, and Green Day ended up winning by fewer than 2,500. It was a nail-biter, a squeaker, and it came down to the wire. In other words, it was everything you could possibly want in a title game.

And, in Green Day, we have everything we could possibly want in a champion. After an ugly opening-round loss in last year's MMM tournament, the pop-punk veterans committed themselves to redemption, and tipped off the 2011 competition by blasting Adam Lambert in round one. Focused, Green Day then took out their frustrations on fellow heavyweights U2 and Blink-182, before surviving scares from Panic! at the Disco in the Elite Eight and Disturbed in the Final Four. And now, having bested Paramore, they stand atop the MMM mountain ... battle tested, redeemed and, ultimately, triumphant.

So congratulations to Billie Joe, Tré and Mike, who join last year's champs, Coheed and Cambria, in the annals of Musical March Madness history. Your trophy is being engraved as you read this. And congrats are also in order for Paramore, who showed grit and determination on their road to the championship game — besting foes like My Chemical Romance, Tokio Hotel and Linkin Park — but just didn't have enough left in the tank to take the title.

In fact, congratulations, and our sincere thanks, to all the fans and all the bands who took part in our Musical March Madness tournament. Your votes, comments, tweets and Facebook campaigns not only helped MMM shatter records, but genuinely impressed us, too. If there were a trophy to give all of you, we'd gladly pay to have it engraved.

So, that's a wrap on the 2011 Musical March Madness tournament ... it's been quite a ride, filled with thrilling highs and crushing lows, shocking upsets and last-second heroics. And, after millions of votes, thousands of arguments, 63 matchups, six rounds and three weeks, it's Green Day who reign supreme. And if your favorite band fell short, well, there's always next year, right?

Are you happy about Green Day winning this year's MMM title? Share your opinions in the comments.

Katy Perry Says Her 'Honest' Anthems Are Highlight Of Arena Shows

'When I'm playing 'Firework,' the whole arena literally moves up and down,' she tells MTV News.

Katy Perry has been hitting the road on her California Dreams World Tour, which hits the States in June. Her colorful live show includes costumes to match and choice cuts plucked from the singer's repertoire. Some of those tunes, specifically songs from last year's Teenage Dream, are proving to be more than just a good time for fans — they're also inspirational.

"I always want to be completely honest and, for this record in particular, I knew from the outside world, a lot had changed. [But] I was hoping that I was still the same me, [the] kind of quirky, weird-perspective girl that I've always been," she told MTV News recently. "But you know, there was a lot of distraction and glitz and glam. When you get to a certain point, you have to push it all away and remember what your core is, and that's what I did for this record."

So, before she hit the road or the recording studio, Perry headed home to Santa Barbara, California, and took it all back to the beginning, before she was a famous pop star with an over-the-top life.

"I started writing songs like 'Firework' and 'Teenage Dream' and songs that I think now are anthems for people," she explained. "When I'm playing 'Firework,' the whole arena literally moves up and down. It's the song that people are holding onto and inspired by."

Perry admitted that something as simple as a Hollywood party can be fun fodder for a song, but these days she likes to go a little deeper. "I feel really happy that I took that time to not write about DJs and fame, the materialistic world, which is great 'cause I love those glitz-and-glamour bells and whistles, but I know people connect to more substantial [lyrics]."

Evanna Lynch Calls Final 'Harry Potter' Scene 'Symbolic'

Evanna Lynch, the actress behind goofy and lovable "Harry Potter" character Luna Lovegood, might not have been in the "Potter" films from the very beginning, but that didn't make it any easier for her when shooting came to an end.

"I felt like, yeah, we talked about it a thousand times, and then when the end came, I really was sad," Lynch shared.

MTV News caught up with the actress during our live stream of the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1" DVD and Blu-ray premiere, where we were ready to grill her about all things related to the end of the record-breaking saga.

So did she shed a tear for the end of the series like co-star Daniel Radcliffe did?

"I did cry," Lynch admitted. "I cried on the last day, because it was epic. Everyone was in, and we had a big cast call, and everyone was like, 'Well, this is [it]!' And yes, it was emotional."

She said her final scene was an especially powerful one to film because it brought her role in the "Potter" series full-circle. Lynch's first movie in the franchise was "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," a flick that introduced Harry's resistance movement which worked out of the mysterious Room of Requirements. The Room makes a significant contribution to "Deathly Hallows, Part 2" as well, and Lynch said she felt it was fitting that those were her final scenes to film.

"I felt like I'd started on the Room of Requirement scenes, and that was like a learning curve, and you learn magic, and then we left and we go out into the battle, and I felt it was so symbolic," she said.

Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley in the series, confessed on the red carpet that she also had a similar cyclical experience between her first and last scenes films.

"Obviously [when] I started, my first scene ever filmed was on the train platform 9 3/4, and then we came back to shoot some more [of the epilogue] before Christmas, and it was back at platform 9 3/4, so I finished, and it was like this amazing cycle," Wright said.

Death Cab For Cutie Pull Off Live 'You Are A Tourist' Video

The clip, shot in one continuous take, premiered Tuesday night.
By James Montgomery

Well, they pulled it off. One week after announcing plans to shot a live live video for "You Are a Tourist," the first single from their upcoming Codes and Keys album, and after a full day of slightly tense rehearsals, Death Cab for Cutie were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Not only did "Tourist" — which was shot live, with multiple cameras, in one single take and broadcast for the entire world via YouAreATourist.com (and several other sites, including MTV.com) on Tuesday night (April 5) — come off without a hitch, but Death Cab looked like they were having an absolute blast making it.

Directed by Tim Nackashi and based on a concept by frequent collaborator Aaron Stewart-Ahn, the video was artful, eye-catching and ambitious, to say the very least. Featuring an intricate, whimsical set, expert use of projections, a bevy of background actors and a dozen dancers who engaged in some seriously kaleidoscopic Busby Berkeley dance sequences, "Tourist" followed Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard and his bandmates as they wandered through the controlled madness — and wore some genuinely nifty light-up suits too.

Despite the fact that they were filming it live, there wasn't a single noticeable screw-up. Gibbard and his mates hit all their marks (and tried their best to hide some actual "I can't believe this is really happening grins), the dancers were perfectly synced, the cameras were on cue and, at the very end — perhaps recognizing this — everyone, from the band to Nackashi to the dancers stood in the center of the stage, clapping and cheering wildly, as Gibbard thanked everyone for their hard work.

Really, despite the fact they were doing this live before the entire world, DCFC weren't really all that nervous — even though, as they told MTV News on Monday, the potential to screw it all up was enormous.

"I think the trick here, or the balance here, is to try to have there be a legitimate amount of choreography involved but not so much that if one thing goes wrong, the whole thing topples like a house of cards," Gibbard laughed. "And there are some very kind-of tight moves throughout the video, but nothing that, you know, if I'm not standing here at this one point, the Rube Goldberg kind of thing falls apart and you're standing there for the next three minutes looking like a moron."

Luckily, that didn't happen.

'Hunger Games' Experts Weigh In On Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth

Casting for the most anticipated love triangle since Edward, Bella and Jacob is now complete. On Monday, Lionsgate announced that Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth would star as Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne alongside Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen in the big-screen adaptation of "The Hunger Games."

The news came on the heels of rumors that the two were front-runners among the pack of Hollywood's young men auditioning for the coveted roles. Yet, despite a bit of early warning, "Hunger Games" fans and experts alike were largely surprised by the casting news.

"I think we were a little bit shocked, especially when the rumors first broke last week that Josh and Liam were the front-runners," said Amanda Belcher of the Hob. "We hadn't really expected that out of all the people that were listed on the short list of people for both Peeta and Gale."

Fan reactions have ranged from pleased (@The SiennaSkye: "Josh Hutcherson was cast as Peeta Mellark!? YES! They picked a cutie!! (:") to outraged (@meggiedear: "Worst. Casting. News. Ever. [Especially 4 Gale]. R.I.P. Hunger Games movie"). Yet, Belcher said many initially wary fans have changed their tune since the news first sent the Internet ablaze.

"Surprisingly, I feel like when the official news got posted, they've come around a little bit," she said. "There's still quite a few who say, 'I'm not going to watch this movie. I'm so upset at this casting.' Then there's a lot of them that say, 'You know what? These aren't our first choices, and we don't really like them, but we're going to put our trust in Lionsgate.' "

One of the chief concerns among fans seems to be that Hutcherson and Hemsworth don't closely resemble the characters from the book — an issue that was also raised following Lawrence's casting.

"I have a hard time picturing Josh and Liam as Peeta and Gale, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt," said "Hunger Games" Examiner Sara Gundell.

Mockingjay.net administrator Kimmy West said most fans stuck on the actors' looks will most likely get onboard once they see the stars' chemistry and performances for themselves.

"[The actors] have to prove to the fans that they're the good person for the role. Because the moment that people realize that these actors are perfect in the role, hopefully then all the fans will warm up to them and agree that they are good."

Fans can mark September 20 as the day that Mary J. Blige returns with her 11th album, My Life II, The Story Continues.

By the time of the album's release — a sequel to Blige's triple-platinum My Life album — it will be almost two years since the Queen of Hip-Hop/R&B delivered her last project, Stronger With Each Tear.

"From me to you, My Life II ... our journey together continues in this life," Blige said in a statement. "It's a gift to be able to relate and identify with my fans at all times. This album is a reflection of the times and lives of people all around me."

Blige's sophisticated and sample-driven My Life was released in 1994, and was executive-produced by Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was then going by Puff Daddy. And it's probably no coincidence that Diddy is featured on the sequel's lead single, "Someone to Love Me (Naked)," which also features a verse from Lil Wayne.

The single's groove is courtesy of Wyclef Jean's cousin, the accomplished producer Jerry "Wonder" Duplessis. Other notable producers set to contribute to Blige's forthcoming album include Kanye West, Stargate (Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow") and Swizz Beatz.

The original version of "Someone to Love Me" appeared on Diddy-Dirty Money's Last Train to Paris. The version with Blige on it dropped at the top of the year and, at the time, it was thought to be just a remix. But a mastered version is available now on iTunes and although Blige tweeted that the Collin Tilley-directed video would debut April 8, the clip began making the Internet rounds on Monday.

Blige has also been cast in the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical "Rock of Ages," which is set to star Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Diego Boneta.

Late last month, Lady Gaga unveiled a guitar-searing, harmonica-infused, countrified version of her smash hit single, "Born This Way," via her Twitter account. Ten days after its debut, Gaga has officially released the track, and will donate some of the proceeds from the tune to charity.

A portion of the money earned from sales of "Born This Way (Country Road Version)" will go to the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which, according to the organization's website, "strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression."

The country remix of the hit song, which was co-produced by Gaga and Fernando Garibay, boasts some new lyrics that play up the track's twangy influences. Over picked mandolin accompaniment, Gaga sings, "If I wanna make it country, baby, it's OK/ 'Cause I was born, I was born, I was born this way/ From London, Paris, Japan back to USA/ I was born on the road, I was born to be brave."

In February, during a chat on Gayle King's talk show, Gaga confirmed that there would be two videos for "Born This Way." The Nick Knight-directed, sci-fi-influenced clip for the song's original version dropped at the tail end of February. Meanwhile, there's no word when or if Gaga will ever release a video for the "stripped-down" country version of the track considering she just wrapped up work on her clip for Born This Way's second single, "Judas."

'Harry Potter' Finale Shot Four Different Endings For Malfoy Family

Take it from actress Bonnie Wright: The ending of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" is, as she bluntly put it during our live-stream event on Monday, "really weird." What else would you expect from a flash-forward finale that has the Hogwarts kids caked in prosthetics to make them look as if they're approaching their 40s?

But it seems that Wright and her co-stars are not the only ones who had an odd experience shooting their final scenes in the blockbuster franchise. According to Helen McCrory, the actors who play the Malfoy family also were up to some surprising stuff.

"It's quite strange, because we haven't seen the last film," said McCrory, who plays Narcissa Malfoy, mother of Draco (Tom Felton). "For instance, with Narcissa, we actually filmed four different endings and I filmed three different battles."

In the final book, Narcissa lies about the death of Harry Potter in an effort to locate her son, a fib that results in the Malfoy family avoiding imprisonment after Voldemort's death. That much we know. What we don't know is how exactly these various endings and battles will play out and bring the Malfoys' story to a conclusion onscreen. Not even McCrory herself is sure, nor was she keen to spill the beans on the red carpet with months still to go before the film's July release date.

"I don't know which ones the three Davids are going to pick," she said, referring to director David Yates and producers David Heyman and David Baron. "We haven't final full stop onto that."

While Keanu Reeves pushes forward with work on "47 Ronin," his samurai- and ninja-filled revenge story, he's also trying to get another martial-arts film off the ground — and this one he wants to direct himself.

The 46-year-old actor first told us about the project at the Toronto Film Festival last fall, but when we caught up with him recently as he promoted the indie comedy "Henry's Crime," Reeves spilled some additional details.

"It's called 'Man of Tai Chi,' " he said. "We want to do it in Chinese and English, do it as kind of a co-production with CFG perhaps, which is a Chinese film group, kind of a studio. It's tricky.

"I would play the villain," he added of the story, which would be set in the modern day but pay homage to kung fu films of the past.

Though Reeves and his partners haven't yet bankrolled the production, they've got a script in place — one that will contain a ridiculous amount of fighting. "There's 18 fights. We've timed it out. It's about 40 minutes of fighting," he said. "I want to make a good, solid kung fu movie. Good story, good plot — but let's get some good kung fu going!"

While Reeves waits for financing to come together, he's gearing up to shoot "47 Ronin" in 3-D. "I call it a story of revenge and impossible love," he said. "The samurai become outcast and decide to enact revenge on the person who is responsible for the death of their lord."

In New York City, fans can check out "Harry Potter: The Exhibition" at the Discovery Times Square building. But, don't expect "Potter" star Jamie Campbell Bower to stop by anytime soon: He said the whole thing is a bit weird for him.

"Unfortunately, I can't see it," he explained to MTV News when he stopped by to talk about his new Starz series, "Camelot." On his way out of town post-interview, he shared another reason why he wasn't likely to ever check the exhibit: "I'm kind of scared of those kinds of things."

Bower explained that there's something a bit jarring about having a museum-type exhibit dedicated to a piece of work you've done. It also means that in the hearts and minds of "Potter" fans, he'll never age past 20.

"It's a bit weird. When you do a film or whatever, you're immortalized, I suppose, but in the job that you're doing," he said. "And if you take that away and put it in a different [world] — for example, that [exhibit] or the Wizarding World that they have in Orlando [Florida] — it's scary. We'll be young forever."

With the franchise coming to an end with "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" this July, Bower admitted that it's a bit bittersweet saying goodbye. "I was only on set for a very short period of time, and I only play a very small role in the film," he explained. "I suppose, just for me personally, being able to be involved in something that is taking place in England for 10 years and something that has given people jobs and a great boost to the British film industry, that was a real honor."

Cee Lo Calls Judging 'The Voice' His 'Day Job'

Posted: 05 Apr 2011 12:18 AM PDT

Singer tells MTV News there's 'friendly competition' with fellow judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Given his gigs fronting ATL rap crew Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley and his recent mega-viral success with the song "F--- You," you'd think the last thing Cee Lo Green would do is join the cast of a reality singing competition. But you'd be wrong.

"At first, I thought it was a very cool and original concept," Green said of the script-flipping conceit of the soon-to-launch "The Voice," in which judges sit with their backs to contestants to focus on their vocals instead of their looks as they decide whether to mentor them through later rounds. Secondly, after years of touring and grinding it out on the road, Green said he was looking forward to staying put in Los Angeles and pursuing the new opportunities that have come his way thanks to the exposure from the Grammy-nominated "F--- You."

Speaking to MTV News recently, Green explained that he looked at the show as a "day job" during some downtime. Plus, with "Survivor" producer Mark Burnett onboard, the singer figured he couldn't go wrong. "He's a friend of mine and he cordially invited me ... and I'm just getting my feet wet in the industry. I plan on doing more television."

Though it's all love among his fellow judges — Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5's Adam Levine and country star Blake Shelton — Green said they're all in it to win it as well. "We're all coming from such different worlds that there's a coexistence, [but] there's a bit of friendly competition because we're all playing to win."

After getting advice from the professional singers during battle phases — where they can also call in choreographers, stylists and producers to help their charges — the wannabe stars will go on to live performance shows where the TV audience will vote on who advances and wins the $100,000 prize and recording contract.

Green said the blind auditions lead to each star forming a team of eight singers, and, as befits his eclectic musical career, Green's squad has a little bit of everything. "It kind of resembles the way I listen to music," he said. "There's country, there's rock, there's R&B, there's soul ... but off camera, the energy with us is very, very kinetic. It's almost like we've been friends for some time and I'm fans of them as well, so that helps."

"The Voice" premieres April 26 on NBC.

Steve Angello, AN21, Max Vangeli In 'Work Mode' On Size Matters Tour

Posted: 05 Apr 2011 01:43 AM PDT

'[Max and AN21] are going to finish their album, I'm going to do music, and I'm going to sleep!' Angello tells MTV News of no-nonsense tour.

The wave of success Size Records has been riding hit the pavement last month in the form of a huge motor coach touring the country.

For one of the hottest labels in dance music, the multi-city Size Matters Tour formally kicked off back on March 22 at Fontainebleau's LIV nightclub — the first in a series of massive Miami Music Week parties at the swanky venue. But the bus didn't truly hit the road until a week later, when all the Miami madness had subsided. Now that Steve Angello, AN21 and Max Vangeli are done frolicking in the Sunshine State, things are about to get real.

"Oh, they're going to sleep at 8 p.m.," Angello told MTV News. "[And] they're going to wake up at 7 [a.m.]. They're going to run next to the bus, [and] I'm going to keep them in shape!"

"I'm already scared," Vangeli told us in a separate interview.

"I'm really scared!" AN21 added.

It seems as if big brother has instilled the fear of God in the youngsters, who tell us they are as far as 13 or 14 tracks into their highly anticipated album, set for completion this year. Moreover, for the first time in what seems like ages, brothers Steve and AN21 will have a chance to sit down along with Max and finish up a track that the three have been working on for some time.

"We have a track that we've actually been working on with Steve for, like, six months — maybe even longer," AN21 said. "It's so hard to finish it, because he's always on the road or working on other things or we're always on the road, so now we have his undivided attention [for] three weeks, so we're going to finish something."

"It's going to be work mode," Angello said. "[Max and AN21] are going to finish their album, I'm going to do music, and I'm going to sleep!"

There's no denying that Angello means business. But we all know how the Swedes and their pals like to have a good time, so we had to ask the man in charge if there is any chance of the bus turning into a frat house on wheels.

"There's not going to be any alcohol on the bus — whatsoever!" Angello told us with an "I'm not kidding" look.

"I heard from sources that if I bring one beer on the bus, [Steve]'s kicking me off," Vangeli confirmed.

"But I'm allowed to have two beers per week," AN21 added with a smirk. "Maybe three!"

"We have a lot of stuff to do [and] to work on, so it's good," Max added of the rules. "It was the same way in L.A. when we were working in the studio. Everyone was like, 'Oh, guys, come out for the night!' [but] Steve was like, 'You finish your work and then you go!' "

Even though we're certain Angello's no-nonsense rules might be bent just a tad, the packed schedule the gang has ahead of them certainly doesn't leave much wiggle room for anything else. Having already logged miles with stops in Orlando, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Montreal, Toronto and Vegas, the Size Matters Tour hits up the Midwest on its next leg starting Tuesday night (April 5) in Columbus, Ohio, before a West Coast stint that ultimately rounds out the U.S. leg of the tour at Coachella on April 16. And then, of course, comes their slew of European dates, which take them out toward the end of summer.

There's certainly no rest for rest for this hard-hitting crew, but for Angello, it's a much-needed change of pace.

"You know, friends are jumping on [the bus] and coming off," he said. "Different friends are joining me in different cities. It's going to be fun, it's a break of airports. I just need something else!"

'Snow White' Director Tarsem Singh Talks Costumes, Lily Collins

'Everything's in snow, but the costumes are very colorful,' he tells MTV News.

Two cinematic reimaginings of Snow White are currently in the works, but lest you think both are going to turn out more or less the same, simply listen to how director Tarsem Singh conceives of his film's look.

"It's actually like if you looked at Gaudi's architecture, based in England, done like a turn-of-the-century Russian film by an Indian guy," he told MTV News.

Right. We're guessing that the competing Snow White tale — from Rupert Sanders, making his directorial debut after a string of hyper-stylized TV commercials — isn't going to encroach on Tarsem's territory, and that's just the way he wants it.

"There's a brown guy telling you a Snow White tale to white people. Just by definition, when you put different ingredients, you get a different stew," he said.

His yet-untitled film stars Julia Roberts as the evil queen, Armie Hammer ("The Social Network") as the handsome prince and, after being cast earlier this month, Lily Collins ("The Blind Side") as Snow White herself. Why Collins, a relative unknown whose profile is on the rise after being cast in the adaptation of the "Mortal Instruments" young adult book series?

"Her eyebrows," Tarsem joked. "I just saw her eyebrows and I said, 'That's Snow White.' "

With the key players in place, the filmmakers are busy building sets and designing costumes. True to Tarsem's earlier work, like "The Cell" and the forthcoming "Immortals," the new Snow White film will dress its cast in some eye-popping garb.

"Everything's in snow, but the costumes are very colorful. It's like no color, then a lot of color," Tarsem said. "I never know how actors give you all the trust, because the stuff that I make people wear does not look ridiculous — it looks ridiculous."

Ace Hood Keeps Motivating With 'Hustle Hard'

Remix for Blood, Sweat & Tears cut features Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.

Ace Hood might have a DJ Khaled co-sign and a Def Jam recording contract but the only way to keep your spot in the rap business is by making hits. The Miami rapper's latest club and street heater is "Hustle Hard," the lead single from his upcoming third album, Blood, Sweat & Tears.

"The concept behind this record is: Just whatever you may do or whatever you do in life, what you choose to do, really go hard at it," Ace told MTV News. "I felt like I was in a circumstance at that point in time in my life where I felt like it's either this or that. OK, what are you going to do when your back [is] against the wall? I felt like [the] only thing I could do is hustle hard. Soon as I laid it down ... it came out crazy."

The "Hustle Hard" remix features Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Rappers including Maino, Young Jeezy and Joell Ortiz have created their own versions of the song, using its relentless, Lex Luger-produced beat. But according to Ace, it was a leaked version of the song that included a Rick Ross verse that prompted the quicker release of its official remix.

"The remix always [included] Rick Ross and Wayne," Ace explained. "But I had it in the can. My hook and Ross' verse, that's the only thing that leaked. So being that that version leaked, I was like, 'Ya know what? I might as well put the Wayne part since Ross is a part of the remix.' Why not? I had to give it to them early. It ended up being huge."

Ace Hood, who is signed to Def Jam via DJ Khaled's We the Best imprint, retreated from the spotlight after releasing his sophomore album, Ruthless, in 2009. The rapper wanted to figure out his direction as an artist and felt compelled to assert that he wasn't getting over simply because he was Khaled's artist.

"I was just really trying to find my niche," he said. "What's really going to make the people accept Ace Hood? I've always created good music, the hit records. People know me from ... being a part of 'Out Here Grindin'.' I always created that motivational music: the 'Overtime's, the 'Champion's. For that time being, I was really in the dungeon."

Now back on the grind, videos for both official versions of "Hustle Hard" have been created.

Ace potentially has the hit record that he hopes proves he belongs with rap's top-shelf artists.

"I just wanted to show people that I was able to do this on my own and that I am capable of creating records of this caliber," Ace said. "I was just happy to see the reaction from the people that, ya know what, the same format and the same mind frame I was in when I created this 'Hustle Hard' record, people are in that same state of mind and they understand the struggle that I been through within the rap game."

Winning? In what can only be described as one of the more bizarre friendships to originate on Twitter, Miley Cyrus and Charlie Sheen have formed something of a bond on the social networking site.

Cyrus, who just recently returned to Twitter — she left back in 2009, telling followers it was at the suggestion of on-again, off-again boyfriend Liam Hemsworth — has become one of the former "Two and a Half Men" star's record-breaking 3.4 million-plus followers.

On Sunday, Cyrus tweeted from her new account, @gypsyhearttour: "Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!' I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow Charlie Sheen."

Since then, the 18-year-old has been trading tweets with the troubled 45-year-old actor, who is currently on the road with his shaky My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour.

"Dear Miley, Welcome back to Twitter! Always felt you were epic! Now you proved it! Thanks for the love," Sheen wrote in response to Cyrus, to which she replied, "I always felt the same about you! You have taught me everything I know about WINNING. Duh!"

Cyrus, who won the Favorite Movie Actress at the Kids' Choice Awards over the weekend, shared on Monday, "Makin dinner for my fam right now. Honey sesame chicken, garlic rice & salad. There's only one thing missing & that's Charlie Sheen."

Cyrus even gave a shout-out to Conan O'Brien in one of her Sheen-based tweets, when she posted, "The only person that even comes close to winning as hard core as @charliesheen is @ConanOBrien =] I will see ya tonight @ 11 COB! TWEET ME!"

Of course, this isn't the first time the former "Hannah Montana" star has caused a stir with her Twitter conversations. In October 2009, she aired out what was believed to be a fued with fellowDisney starlets Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez. Cyrus posted a picture of herself with Lovato, who had become close to Gomez, and wrote, "Now this is what true friendship looks like. None of that hollywood crap. @ddlovato I miss you = ]"

Cyrus also had a minor Twitter battle with ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston that year. In one post Gaston wrote, "People mistake stupidity for bravery way to easily." The "Party in the USA" singer then shot back, "Yeah. I love when people mistake bravery with writing a few stupid tweets trying to make it seem like they don't care. You're afraid to love."

The loyal Robert Pattinson fans out there are very likely already aware that the megastar will be showing off a lot more than just his acting talents in the upcoming film "Bel Ami." To quote Pattinson himself, the steamy period drama will feature "a lot of my crack. ... I think there's quite a bit of nudity."

When MTV News caught up with actress Natalia Tena (better known as Nymphadora Tonks to the "Harry Potter" fans) at the DVD premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" on Monday, she revealed that she is one of several lovely ladies who gets hot and heavy with Pattinson in "Bel Ami."

When asked if she shared scenes with "Twilight" heartthrob, Tena said, "I do. Some naughty scenes."

When we brought up the fact that the "Twilight" star told us about how much of his "crack" we'll see, Tena added that there's a lot more than that.

"There is a lot of everything in that," she said. "But the thing is, I knew him before all the 'Twilight' stuff. We used to hang out for a bit, so it was a bit weird [during filming]. I was like, 'All right, mate, come on, let's do it! It will be fun!' "

Tena said audiences will definitely see a different side of Pattinson's acting abilities in "Bel Ami."

"He's not nice at all in this," she said. "Which is great, because he's going to break away from that [teen heartthrob] thing and show that he can play those roles, which is so important as an actor to not stay on that same path."

Another of his "Bel Ami" co-stars, Uma Thurman, echoed Tena's statements during an interview with MTV News recently, calling Pattinson a "really serious actor."

"I think he's incredibly concrete in his presence on the set and obviously is very handsome," she said. "[He] is a very nice person and he's sensitive. He's present. ... He's a really good actor."

Ludacris 'Inspired' By Aspiring MCs At 'Live Large' Competition

'It's all about competition,' he tells MTV News about Magnum-sponsored freestyle contest whose winner will get to perform with Luda.

Ludacris is a marquee hip-hop artist but he has no problem lending aspiring rappers a hand.

On Monday, the Atlanta-based MC/actor was at New York City's Highline Ballroom for the Magnum-sponsored Live Large Project 2, a hip-hop/freestyle competition that gives contestants a shot at a cash prize and the chance to perform alongside Luda at Springfest 2011 in Miami.

It's the second year Luda has participated in the event, and the Disturbing Tha Peace Records founder said it always makes him remember his days as a hungry unknown.

"I remember being an aspiring artist and up-and-coming rapper and wishing I had opportunities like the one that Magnum Live Large Project is giving out — $5,000, a trip to Miami, able to perform — all of these different things is good, man," Luda told MTV News. "It's all about competition. That's what hip-hop is all about anyway."

The Highline stop was just one of four regional events that span the West Coast (Bay Area), South (Miami) and the Midwest (Detroit). The top three contestants from each region, as well as a fifth selected via YouTube, will make the trip to Miami to compete for the $5,000 prize. New York's top three winners were Perelli, Renegade and Pumpkinhead, who won $1,000 for being the fan favorite.

According to Ludacris, anyone who's achieved his level of success should feel obligated to support events like this one and serve as a source of inspiration.

"It's definitely important for me to give back to MCs coming up," he said."That's part of the reason we do what we do. You can never forget where you come from or how you came up. I'm very excited to be doing this. And don't get it twisted, I'm getting inspired my damn self by watching the up-and-coming rappers and it's making me realize and remember back in the day when I was the same way."

A rap industry neophyte that Ludacris thinks highly of and can relate to is Big K.R.I.T. After making strides independently, the Meridian, Mississippi, rapper and producer signed with Luda's label home, Def Jam, last year and recently released a new mixtape, Return of 4Eva. Luda, along with Bun B, makes an appearance on the remix of "Country Sh--."

"When [Big K.R.I.T.] speaks, you can feel his heart," Luda told us. "His heart is on the outside of his chest. He's talking about his experience and being from the South and being from Mississippi. Just respecting the fact that he's the production side as well as spilling his heart out on the beats, I can respect that."

Ludacris is working on his eighth album, Ludaversal, due out later this year.
