As soon as Britney Spears debuted the lead single from her upcoming Femme Fatale album, "Hold It Against Me," the conversation turned to what the music video would look like. On Thursday night (February 17), amid lots of buzz and high expectations, Spears will finally premiere the video on MTV and MTV.com. But before the big event, we've detailed everything you need to know, from teases to insider scoop.

Shortly after "HIAM" hit the Net in January, Britney's choreographer, Brian Friedman, teased that the pop star would be wearing some over-the-top costumes in the video. And then fans learned that Jonas Åkerlund — who has worked in the past with Lady Gaga and Madonna — would direct the clip.

On January 24, Spears premiered the first video preview, in which she appeared wearing a red dress, surrounded by microphones.

Days later, Friedman sat down with MTV News and revealed that Spears had gotten into a groove again and was showing her old "tigress quality."

Friedman also said the collaboration between Spears and Åkerlund was a match made in heaven, and in spite of the director's past with Lady Gaga, he confirmed there was no sign of Gaga in this video.

In February, Spears began dropping teasers from the video. With each new clip, a small piece of the puzzle was revealed, including sexy dance sequences and even sexier costumes.

It seems safe to say Spears is ready to own the pop world again, and this video is the beginning. "She's showing that you have to push it as an artist: that you can't just settle, that you can't be calm with your choreography, that you have to make a statement," Friedman explained.

"There's so many people out there competing in this world to be the queen of pop, and she's definitely claiming her throne."

Don't miss Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" video premiere tonight at 9:55 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com, followed by "MTV First: Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me' Video Premiere," a live discussion on MTV.com at 11 p.m. about the new clip and what's next for the pop star!

'When we come together, there's something special about it,' he tells MTV News.

It's been a few years since the Jonas Brothers released Lines, Vines and Trying Times in 2009. Since then, they've focused on music for their various Disney projects and their own solo albums. When MTV News caught up with Nick Jonas, he admitted that he and his brothers are really taking their time to make sure their next album is the best it can be before they release anything new.

"I'd say that with all the projects we've released so far musically, we're very proud of them, and each one has been a step for us and has been a step of growth," he explained. "And when we go into the next one, we have it in the back of our minds knowing we're proud of everything we've made."

Jonas said he and his brothers are in a transitional stage of their careers, so they have to go big or go home. "Like anybody, with the next one, you have to step it up and make it great, and I think that we don't necessarily know what the sound is right now," he further explained. "And we're all kind of in different areas musically. I think that we don't have the same influences."

While they are on different musical paths right now, he said once they get into the studio, that old magic will be back. "When we come together, there's something special about it," he said. "Obviously, being brothers, it's that connection you can't explain when we do meet up. ... It'll just be a really special thing where it happens naturally, whatever that sound's supposed to be and whoever's supposed to produce it, whether it's pop, rock, dance, whatever. It's gonna be right, and we're taking our time on that."

What are you expecting from the next Jonas Brothers album? Let us know in the comments!

'American Idol' Brings The Pressure On Group Night

Posted: 16 Feb 2011 08:12 AM PST

Early favorites Jacee Badeaux, Brett Loewenstern, Lauren Alaina survive, while other hopefuls went down in flames.
By Gil Kaufman

Group night on "American Idol" is notoriously brutal. It's full of attitude, fighting, ragged nerves and exhaustion. And that's just from the audience at home watching the ridiculous diva behavior onscreen.

But after pulling an all-nighter, a number of this year's picks to click, including teens Jacee Badeaux and Lauren Alaina, as well Chris Medina, James Durbin, Brett Loewenstern and Chelsee Oaks, survived to sing another day, while some early favorites went down in flames, unable to handle the pressure.

On Wednesday night's (February 16) show, producers figured they'd up the ante this year on the contestants by telling them, after they'd already formed their groups, that they must be comprised of a mix of singers from day one and day two of last week's Hollywood eliminations. That sent the 168 remaining wannabes scrambling to rework their sets.

The first two segments were devoted to showing the high school lunchroom nightmare of singers desperate to find someone's group to join and facing heart-crushing rejection at every turn. Then, with just 10 hours to perfect their songs amid the din of nearly 170 voices roaring at once, contestants grabbed any space they could, from bathrooms to parking garages, and got to work.

The pressure almost claimed the fragile Ashley Sullivan, who came close to leaving the show, while 15-year-old Jacee Badeaux was booted from his group in the middle of the night and several other singers either got dumped or bailed on their ensembles at the 11th hour. On the verge of breaking up because they couldn't find a day-two person, redheaded bullied belter Brett Loewenstern's quartet was saved when they picked up Badeaux.

When the singers finally got a chance to, well, sing, there were plenty of new or little-seen faces who shone. Among them were New Jersey auditioner and makeup artist Pia Toscano, 22, who did her sultry best on Bruno Mars' "Grenade" in a trio that got the day started off right with yeses all around.

Male diva Jordan Dorsey bailed on his group to join up with Robbie Rosen and sing a doo-wop version of the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back," setting up an intense rivalry with his old cohorts, but getting sweet revenge by moving on. His old pals, though, survived the breakup as well by nailing Cee Lo Green's "Forget You."

Nobody wanted to be in a group with overconfident Tiffany Rios the night before, so the judges allowed her an exception to form a duo with tattooed blonde Jessica Yantz. "It was really bad," Randy Jackson said, though, after the pair made a hot mess of Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable."

It couldn't all be good news, as acts like Spanglish mangled Mars' "Just the Way You Are," with just two out of the four getting a pass, while Lauren Alaina's quartet asked Steven Tyler onto the stage to serenade him with Grand Funk Railroad's "Some Kind of Wonderful," buttering up the shy rocker by letting him add some of his signature yelps to their tune. Lopez dubbed their idea "cute," but in the end only Alaina made the cut.

Paris Tassin, 23, has the look and appeared to have the vocals and the story — she's the mother of a special-needs daughter — but her iffy take on Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)" flamed out. Also tanking were quirky San Francisco redhead Emily Ann Reed, bartender Alyson Jados and Aaron Gutierrez, whose brother Mark got the thumbs-up.

While Sullivan had struggled earlier, the 26-year-old pulled it together and put some girl-group sass into Blu Cantrell's "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)." "It was a little pitchy here and there, right," Randy said. "But all in all, you held it together and I must say you guys were the best harmonized group I've seen," meaning her whole crew made it.

Tourette sufferer James Durbin brought out his best Adam Lambert impression again for Queen's "Somebody to Love," but was saddled with some fellow singers whose energy and vocals were totally flat. And whereas his sky-high falsetto wails were charming before, the judges cringed a bit this time around. "The harmonies were almost painful, really guys it was like a bad 'Glee' audition," Lopez said, giving Durbin one more chance while sending most of his pals home.

With a bit too much help from their stage moms, the Minors angered Durbin and his cohorts, but the five teens brought some gospel soul to the same Queen ballad, earning a standing ovation from the judges and the other contestants. "This is what I joined forces with 'American Idol' to hear," Tyler gushed. "That was as good as it gets," he added, and needless to say Keonna Evans (16), Jalen Harris (15), Sarina-Joi Crowe (15), Felix Ramsey (15) and Deandre Brackensick (16) passed through.

The Night Owls made the gutsy move to sing a cappella, and their doo-wop cover of the Temptations' "Get Ready" got a thumbs-up for Julie Zorrilla, and blues belter Casey Abrams, but not for the rest. They were followed by a second group who forsook the band and covered the same song, but with more intricate choreography and more daring vocals.

Naima Adedapo got the least amount of shine in the gospel-tinged version of the Motown classic, but still lived another day. "It showed style, creativity ... every little bit of it was beautiful," Tyler said, giving props to Jacob Lusk, 23, for wrapping things up with an offbeat vocal flair that sounded like a car engine grinding to a halt and got the judges to sit up and take notice.

One of the season's most touching stories belonged to Chris Medina, who was paired with singing waitress Devyn Rush and charismatic actor Carson Higgins, all of whom brought some attitude to "Forget You." Randy thought Rush was too scream-y and Higgins was entertaining, and in the end he put the whole team through ... except for Rush.

When it was finally Jacee and Brett's group's turn to take the stage, Sugar Mama and the Babies did a soulful take on Adele's "Mercy," with Loewenstern killing it and a nervous Badeaux forgetting the lyrics and expertly vamping about not wanting to go home. Randy told the teen he looked a bit lost and Jacee explained how he was booted from his original crew at the last minute and had never heard the song before, but it turned out to be no problem since they all got another chance.

Baritone country crooner Scotty McCreery sounded a bit out of place trying to put a twang on "Get Ready," but bespectacled karaoke DJ Clint Jun Gamboa bailed him out with some gritty wailing that bought another day for the entire quartet.

The final group of the day featured Rob Bolin and his ex, Chelsee Oaks, singing with one-half of the dashed "Idol" power couple, Jacqueline Dunford, who had struggled mightily all night to find their footing. Oaks' vocals were flat and her choreography was sloppy, while Dunford was even worse and Bolin completely blew his chance by vamping about how tired he was and not remembering any of the lyrics.

In the end it was Bolin who was sent packing, while the ladies moved on, proving for the one millionth time that you MUST REMEMBER THE LYRICS!!!!!!

On Thursday night, the final 100 sing solo, with only 50 advancing to next week's first-ever Las Vegas round.

In brand-new remix of the single, West promises 'alien sex.'

On her new single "E.T.," Katy Perry coos about an extraterrestrial lover with cosmic kisses (and, apparently, lasers) who transports her to otherworldly levels of pleasure. So it's somewhat fitting that, on a brand-new remix of the song, Kanye West contributes a pair of galactically suggestive verses.

The reworked version of the song — which began making the rounds Wednesday (February 16) — features West proclaiming, "I got a dirty mind/ I got filthy ways" and boasting "They callin' me an alien/ A big-headed astronaut/ Maybe it's because your boy Yeezy gets ass a lot."

(To find out what fans think of Katy and Kanye's "E.T." remix, head to RapFix!)

Indeed. West also expresses his desire to "bathe ... in your milky way," and later in the remix, he claims to "know a bar out in Mars where they driving spaceships instead of cars." Then, he drops the real piece-de-résistance: "Rockets on deck/ Tell me what's next/ Alien sex!" he raps. "I'mma disrobe you then I'mma probe you/ See, I abducted you so I tell you what to do."

Perry's label, Capitol Records, confirmed to MTV News that Katy and Kanye's collabo is an official remix, releasing a photo of both stars on what appeared to be the "E.T." video set. The clip was shot by "The Runaways" director Floria Sigismondi, who has helmed eye-catching vids for the likes of Christina Aguilera, Marilyn Manson and the White Stripes.

With just one day left until the premiere of Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me," we decided to try to figure out what the Jonas Åkerlund-directed video is all about by deciphering the 13 (out of 14) teasers already out there.

Britney's first teaser debuted on Friday, February 4, and showed Spears in a white gown, looking soft and feminine. For the second teaser, she was surrounded by microphones in what might have been a comment on her relationship with the media.

By teaser three, Spears was paying homage to her extensive group of music videos over the years. The clip showed scenes of many of her various video characters playing on multiple television screens. And in the next preview, Britney Spears the dancer began to emerge; fans also got a peek at Spears' svelte and toned body.

In the fifth and sixth clips, Spears, again showing off her smoking-hot body, teased some more choreography in a sporty costume that emphasized her dance roots.

For the seventh teaser, Spears gave fans a full-on view of her face, and she looked healthy and happy. Spears got her fight on in the eighth teaser: She battled herself in the form of a double.

In a way, it seems Spears is letting go of the past.

The following series of teasers not only proved how beautifully Åkerlund shot the star for the video, but also how on-point her dancing still is. In teaser #13, Brit, looking fierce, got sexy with her dancers in the middle of a routine.

Nick Jonas Goes Toe-To-Toe With Matthew Perry On 'Mr. Sunshine'

Jonas Brother plays a demanding rock star on the new ABC sitcom.
By Aly Semigran

Imagine a bizarro Nick Jonas: While he is still a wildly successful musician, he is now an egomaniacal jerk.

During Wednesday night's (February 16) episode of ABC's "Mr. Sunshine," Jonas played Eli Cutler, a singing sensation who — in addition to being a jelly-bean-eating "rock star" that has his own Saturday morning cartoon and is capable of packing an entire arena to capacity with screaming tweens — lacks any real sense of human decency (which he credits to a "lethal combination" of poor parenting and being exceedingly wealthy).

The day of Eli's show at Sunshine Stadium caught Ben (Matthew Perry) in a bad spot as his staffers, who forgot it's his 10-year-anniversary on the job, scramble to participate in a fake contest in order to win the affections of their boss Crystal (Allison Janney) — and a golf cart.

With his employees preoccupied, Ben is left with the task of catering to Eli's every demand, which includes everything from getting him the first season of "Brothers & Sisters" on DVD and attaining the number of a hot female fan (or, as he so delicately put it, "a spicy enough crab roll").

In the end we find out Eli is actually racked with insecurities about his music (despite having wonderfully lame pop titles like "Baby, My Baby," "No Place Like School" and "Dance, Dance, Dance...Dance"), and Ben saves the day by assuring the celeb (who had earlier referred to Perry's character as a chubbier Larry King) that he was actually good at his job — a gesture that prompts Eli to dedicate a song to "a guy that works here."

It's always fun to watch celebrities poke fun at themselves, even if it is an extreme version of him or herself, and it seems like Jonas let himself get lost in the role. The 18-year-old talked to MTV News about the experience of playing the spoiled star, telling us it was "really fun to stretch my personality a bit."

Jonas, who went toe-to-toe comedically with Perry in every scene, said of the experience, "It was so cool to work with him and soak up as much as I could." How very un-Eli of him.

Did you watch Nick Jonas' appearance on "Mr. Sunshine"? What did you think?

'American Idol' Judges Show Jacee Badeaux Some 'Mercy'

The 15-year-old 'Idol' hopeful flubbed lyrics after being tossed from group but pluck pushes him through.
By Adam Graham

Jacee Badeaux at "American Idol" Hollywood Week
Photo: FOX

Jacee Badeaux doesn't have typical "American Idol" looks or style, but he's fast becoming a favorite in season 10 of the competition.

Badeaux, the portly 15-year-old viewers were first introduced to when he blew the judges away with his unexpectedly soulful take on Otis Redding's "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" during the New Orleans auditions, was the center of a whirlwind drama on Wednesday's (February 16) episode. He bounced around looking to find his place during Hollywood Week's notorious group round, and was tossed from his original foursome (with Clint Jun Gamboa, Monique de Los Santos and Frances Coontz) when floating country crooner Scotty McCreery joined their ranks. Of course, it was Jacee who'd first given the thumbs-up to allow McCreery to link up with them.

Left without a group at 1 a.m. on the night before the big group auditions, a teary-eyed Badeaux sought the comfort of his parents. "It's OK, baby," his mother told him. "Either way, it just wasn't meant to be."

Mom turned out to know best, and Badeaux quickly fell in with another group, led by fellow outcast Brett Loewenstern, the mop-topped, red-haired singer whose tales of being bullied have been well-documented this season. Despite the fact that he'd never heard Duffy's "Mercy," which the group had been rehearsing for hours, Badeaux joined them and began learning the song.

But the rehearsal time wasn't quite enough for Badeaux, who made no secret of the fact that he didn't know the words when he hit the rehearsal stage. So to the tune of Duffy's 2008 hit, a smiling Badeaux sang, "I don't wanna go home, yeah yeah/ But this is really fun, yeah yeah/ But I'm gonna do this, 'cause I know that I won't be going home ... hopefully."

When asked by the judges why he didn't know his parts, he told his story of being kicked out of his first group late the night before and began to well up with tears. As his fellow contestants in the audience rose to their feet and gave him a standing ovation, Randy Jackson noted, "Jacee, you got some fans out there, dude." And despite flubbing the lyrics — usually a death knell at this point in the competition — the judges let him through to the next round.

But that wasn't it for Badeaux. Next up was the group that unceremoniously dismissed Jacee, and McCreery — who had essentially replaced him in the group — came clean to the judges' panel and to his fellow contestants. "I just wanna go on the record and say, for me personally, I wanna apologize for not sticking up for [Badeaux]," he said. " 'Cause I love all of y'all, but Jacee's the best kid in this competition."

After his mea culpa, McCreery and his fellow groupmates made it through as well. But now that Badeaux is building momentum, his biggest obstacle could be himself, and learning the pesky words to those songs.

What do you think of Jacee Badeaux? Let us know in the comments!

Following Lady Gaga's performance of "Born This Way" at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, fans are wondering what they will see in the Nick Knight-directed music video for the feel-good disco track.

"I can't tell you, but I will tell you it is a life-changing experience," Gaga's choreographer Laurieanne Gibson said on MTV's "The Seven." "You can expect the highest level of execution in vocal music art and dance ... but you will be shocked."

Gibson didn't say whether the video would be an extension of Gaga's performance of Sunday night, but she did go into further detail about what she and Gaga and the entire Haus of Gaga had in mind when conceiving the idea of her hatching from an egg on the Grammy stage.

"Well, actually it's a vessel. When Gaga played me the record, it took me quite some time to feel the direction and the inspiration, and when she played it for me two weeks later, I was like, 'I think I got it.' I said, 'We have to birth a new race, a race that cannot hate.' And, of course, as genius as she is, she runs with it."

Gaga revealed that she spent 72 hours inside the vessel, and Gibson explained that precautions were taken to make sure she'd be safe in there. "We made sure the Lady was not suffocating with an oxygen tank in there while incubating, checking her new DNA, which was producing this new race," she explained. "This race does not give up and does not give in.

"When you try to break this performance down, it minimizes the message," she added. "It's about the vocal performance while dancing the amazing choreography. It feels like a standalone dance piece, a standalone theatrical moment. The organ that was our church moment, our freeing moment, a call to arms."

Kim Kardashian Song To Debut On Ryan Seacrest Radio Show, The-Dream Says

'Turn It Up' producer also says half of single's proceeds will go to cancer research.
By Kara Warner

We've been hearing rumblings about Kim Kardashian's first foray into music for months now, so when are we officially going to hear the heavily hyped dance track "Turn It Up"? According to Kardashian and producer The-Dream, the single is just three weeks from hitting the radio airwaves.

When MTV News caught up with The-Dream recently, he let us in on a few more surprising facts about the track. First, they're doing it for charity.

"One of the things that people didn't know about the song is half of the proceeds are going to [support] cancer [research]," the Atlanta singer/songwriter explained. "[Kim's] father passed away from cancer, my mother also passed away from cancer when I was 15, so I decided we should give a lot of the money back."

Dream added that the charity aspect was a big part of the reason the two teamed up in the first place. "A lot of people don't know that because they make conversation about the other part," he said, meaning the buzz behind the reality star's music debut.

So, in three weeks' time, where are we going to hear the song? "I think we're going to debut it on KIIS with Ryan Seacrest," he revealed of the plan to premiere it on the "Keeping Up With the Kardashian" producer's morning radio show. "I hope I'm not getting in trouble!"

We hope not too, but we followed up with one more question regarding what will surprise people most about Kardashian's vocal talent.

"I think in life, there are things you have to get yourself to do, and it's not always about whether you're better than anyone else, it's about what you can put out and pull out of yourself, and she was able to pull something out of herself that a lot of people didn't think that she could," Dream said.

Kardashian has said the same thing, but she's still feeling anxious about it. "I was really honest," she told MTV News' Sway Calloway on the Grammy red carpet. "I'm like, 'You're not gonna get Beyoncé here, you're not gonna get Celine Dion,' and he really pulled something out of me. ... I was just so nervous."

Beavis And Butt-Head Return To Watch 'Jersey Shore,' Viral Videos

Two of MTV's biggest icons are returning this summer, and according to executives at the network, they will pick up right where they left off. The launch date for the brand-new episodes of "Beavis and Butt-head" has not yet been made official, but longtime fans (as well as newcomers) can rest assured that the boys will be the same old bored, TV-obsessed, somewhat violent, anti-authoritarian unit they've always been.

"They'll have the same intelligence," MTV President Van Toffler told Rolling Stone in an exclusive interview. "They're the same boneheads sitting on the same couch, commenting on things through a really simple prism."

There will be a new element or two. While the boys used to obsessively watch old music videos, this time around, they'll poke fun at UFC matches, YouTube clips and even segments from "Jersey Shore."

One thing that will be the same is creator Mike Judge, who is returning to the show to helm it a second time. His inspiration for reviving two of his most iconic characters (Judge also created "King of the Hill" and directed cult-favorite films "Office Space" and "Idiocracy") centered on his ongoing obsession with pop culture. "In the years since Mike quit doing 'Beavis and Butt-head,' he realized that there was a lot to make fun of," head writer John Altschuler told Rolling Stone. "We just kept coming up with ideas that Mike thought would have made good 'Beavis and Butt-head' episodes."

"Beavis and Butt-head" last appeared on MTV in 1997, and their return was announced earlier this month at MTV's upfronts. Excited parties include Justin Bieber, who tweeted about the return of the show shortly after making an appearance at the event.

In just three short years, Janelle Monáe has risen from Diddy-approved, pompadoured R&B oddity to your favorite artist's favorite artist, tapped to open for the likes of Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder and, of course, Prince.

She also found herself raking in the critical acclaim for her last album, 2010's otherworldly The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III), so when she mentions working on new music — folks tend to pay attention.

And that's exactly what she did when MTV News caught up with her on the red carpet for Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy bash in Los Angeles. And, from the sound of things, Monáe is looking to push the boundaries even further with her new tunes.

"I'm working on new music now and as soon as the music is done, an album will be submitted, but we're already like, 'Let's go,' " she said. "I'm in a very creative space right now, just came off tour with Amy Winehouse, Prince, Stevie Wonder. ... I'm in a really good, creative space."

Perhaps she'll even unveil some of that new music on her just-announced run of shows with Bruno Mars, the Hooligans in Wondaland Tour. The trek kicks off May 4 in New York and crisscrosses the continent before coming to a close on June 15 in Phoenix. Fans got a sneak peek at what they could expect from the tour when Monáe joined Mars and B.o.B for a cracking medley performance at Sunday's 53rd Grammy Awards.

Thirteen teases into the premiere of "Hold It Against Me" have given only minimal sneak peeks into what Britney Spears will be up to in her Jonas Åkerlund-directed video for the Femme Fatale lead single.

On Wednesday (February 16), after "Jersey Shore" star Pauly D tweeted a link to a very short teaser, a longer, 30-second preview was released, giving the world a more-extended look at the "HIAM" video.

In it, Spears not only seems to be dancing up a storm, but also wears multiple costumes, changing into varying styles — from ultra-glam to ultra-sexy — through sets that veer into a Technicolor futuristic world.

The preview opens with Spears lying on top of another version of herself, sleeping and looking exhausted. That shot jumps to frames of Spears dancing and covered in paint. She soon awakes from her various states of slumber and begins to dance. Next is a shot of only her face, as she looks into the camera, singing, "Would you hold it against me?"

In a glossy dance break, Spears is wearing all black, as are her dancers, who twirl around, popping and locking. Steam emits around them.

Don't miss Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" video premiere Thursday at 9:56 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com, followed by "MTV First: Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me' Video Premiere," a live discussion on MTV.com at 11 p.m. about the new clip and what's next for the pop star!

Nick Jonas Previews His 'Mr. Sunshine' Cameo

'It was really fun to stretch my personality a bit,' Jonas Brother tells MTV News of playing a jerk on Wednesday's episode.

Nick Jonas is probably one of the nicest guys in the music industry, but for his appearance on ABC's "Mr. Sunshine" on Wednesday night (February 16), the pop star had to get his jerk on, playing the ultra-demanding rock star Eli, who gives Matthew Perry's character a run for his money on the new sitcom.

"It was really fun to stretch my personality a bit while doing the 'Mr. Sunshine' cameo. I was playing a jerk named Eli, and he's kind of like a rock-star guy who pushes out a jerk attitude to compensate the fact that he's really insecure about a lot of things — really similar to me, " he joked to MTV News about the cameo. "And Matthew Perry's obviously a legend. It was so cool to work with him and soak up as much as I could."

Jonas said he got the call from the TV star himself asking if he wanted to make a cameo on the show. Jonas said he is a big fan of the former "Friends" star. "I always watched it growing up when it was on, and I've got a lot of friends who are die-hard 'Friends' fans, but I did watch the show, and I'd have to say he was my favorite character on the show."

When asked what "Friends" character he always felt he related to most, the 18-year-old said he is the Chandler Bing of his circle of friends. "I would definitely be like him," he said, before explaining that he hopes he's a bit like Perry as well. "He's the man. I would hope that I was like him. I mean, he's very talented in real life and has so much to give."

Fresh off a pair of steamy performances at Sunday night's Grammy Awards, Rihanna is doubling down on her upcoming summer tour. In addition to adding 10 more dates to the Loud outing, the singer has also invited "F--- You" singer Cee Lo Green to join her for the tour, which is scheduled to begin on June 4 in Baltimore.

But honestly it's an honor and a blessing to be able to go out with a talent such as hers and I look forward to doing my part to make the tour unforgettable for the fans that come out and see us."

The pair will have plenty to chat about on the road, as they both won Grammys on Sunday night, with Rihanna picking up Best Dance Record for "Only Girl in the World" and Green taking Best Urban/Alternative Performance for "Forget You." Both were also winners on Tuesday night at England's Brit Awards.

Rihanna recently premiered the bondage-themed clip for her latest single, "S&M," which spurred a lawsuit from fashion photographer David LaChapelle, who claimed that it was "directly derived" from his work.

After winning a Grammy, getting a standing ovation from his musical peers at Sunday night's show and announcing his upcoming co-headlining tour with Janelle Monáe, Bruno Mars has a lot to celebrate.

The 25-year-old singer got a bit more good news Wednesday (February 15), when he avoided a possible jail sentence by pleading guilty to a count of felony cocaine possession stemming from an arrest in Las Vegas in September. According to TMZ, as part of an earlier plea deal negotiated by his lawyer, Blair Berk, Mars appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom on Wednesday morning to enter the plea.

As part of the deal, if he stays out of trouble for 12 months, Honolulu native Mars (born Peter Hernandez) can petition to withdraw his plea and the case against him will be dismissed and removed from his record.

In the meantime, he will be on probation for a year and is required to complete eight hours of private drug counseling, pay a $2,000 fine and perform 200 hours of community service with a charitable organization.

Berk told TMZ: "We are very pleased that the prosecution has agreed to dismiss the charge."

The Las Vegas Sun reported that in his brief appearance in front of Clark County District Judge Jessie Walsh, Mars answered the judge's questions in a quiet voice and avoided looking at cameras. The paper also reported that Berk asked if Mars could perform his drug counseling online rather than travel from his California home to Las Vegas for the sessions; prosecutors agreed to allow him to take counseling from a private company in California.

The "Grenade" singer was arrested September 19 after security at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino confronted him in a bathroom and found him in possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine.

One day to go! And in the latest teaser for Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" video, the pop star gets her groove on with some male dancers.

The singer stands, wearing a tie-dyed jacket, silver short-shorts and fishnet stockings, while male dancers writhe around her, putting their faces on her and grinding against her. Spears' face looks intense in the midst of the sexy routine.

"Jersey Shore" star Pauly D shared the clip Wednesday (February 16), tweeting, "Who's Ready For Jerzday Tmw Night Starring The Queen Of Pop @BritneySpears Her Videos Gonna Be Fire!!!"

Spears will debut her video for "Hold It Against Me" on Thursday night. In celebration of Brit's epic return to the medium that made her a star, MTV News is hosting a live discussion on MTV.com following the premiere, with a full hour of special guests breaking down the new video and discussing what we can expect from her upcoming album, Femme Fatale.

Pauly D's shining endorsement of the penultimate teaser comes the day after Justin Bieber got on the Britney train, tweeting the release of Tuesday's promo. "My girl @britneyspears vid for Hold It Against Me is premiering thurs night on @mtv. ...wanna watch it?" he wrote. "Watch it!"

Spears then took to her Twitter account to give some props to the teen star, writing, "Aww thanks so much @justinbieber! BTW I loved your movie Never Say Never ...what an amazing story. U guys need to see it!"

Spears does not appear in Tuesday's clip: Images of old-fashioned cameras burst on the screen before a flash goes off. A hand then appears in the frame slamming down a clapper board.

Blink-182 To Finish New Album By 'June Or July,' Travis Barker Says

Posted: 15 Feb 2011 10:45 PM PST

Drummer tells MTV News that five songs are completed for long-in-the-works project.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, California — At this point, you've probably heard everything the members of Blink-182 have had to say about their loooong-in-the-works new album, from their initial announcement that they were "in the studio writing and recording" in February 2009 and the first mentions of "Up All Night," the new song they never ended up playing on their reunion tour, to Mark Hoppus' promise to do "all I can to have a new Blink-182 album in 2010" and, finally, Travis Barker's admission that the album wouldn't hit stores until 2011.

So you probably took it with a grain of salt when, earlier this week, Barker tweeted that the new Blink record would be out "this summer." And we did too. So when we visited Barker in his NoHo studio — where he played us a handful of tracks from his upcoming solo album, Give the Drummer Some — we had to ask about the status of the Blink album. From the sound of things, well, summer is definitely in the cards.

"I think we'll turn in our album in June or July, honestly, and, I mean, the stuff's awesome," Barker said. "It's coming close, to the point where these are completed songs and they're not going to change. These are album versions."

Barker said Blink have "five, pretty much, songs" finished for the album and added that its delay has had as much to do with his and his bandmates' hectic schedules as it does with the way they've chosen to work this time around.

"You know, it's hard, because we would get home from a tour, and then Tom [DeLonge]'s side project would go out, his side project comes back, he's back now, he's ready to get in the lab, [and] I'm about to say, 'Peace out, I'm about to do my thing.' So it's like, when we're in a room together for more than a month or two, it's gonna really happen," he said. "I mean, up until the last album, every album was written in a week. All of us had ideas, we would come, we would get into a room, [and] we'd go, 'OK, you want to write the album?' And we'd write those songs, and then we'd record them the next week. Now ... we all have studios, we all have the luxury of staying home and doing it, and we don't have to get into a room to get an idea out or pay for a studio. So a lot of it's going down. Like, we're working in separate studios, just really kind of working on music."

For the record, yes, he realizes Blink fans have been waiting a very long time, but he promises that the wait will most definitely be worth it.

"I wish I could play everyone the songs now," he smiled. "Like I said, they sound awesome."

What are you expecting from the new Blink album? Let us know in the comments!

Jessica Alba announced her pregnancy on Wednesday (February 16) in a way that's become increasingly common for celebs: an online post.

The "Little Fockers" star wrote on her Facebook page: "It's been a while since I've been on FB & I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news>Honor is going to be a Big Sister! Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else. I appreciated all of the love and support you all gave me during my first pregnancy and will definitely appreciate it again this time around. Have a great day! Jess."

An hour later, not wanting to leave her Twitter followers in the dark about the happy news, Alba posted her Facebook link with the announcement, "Tweeples - Wanted to share some exciting news... ."

This will be the second child for Alba and her producer husband Cash Warren, who have a 2-year-old daughter, Honor.

Warren took to his own Twitter page on Wednesday to share, "@jessicaalba are beyond excited about the news! Honor is going to be a great big sister. Thank you all for the wonderful messages!!"

Alba is working on Robert Rodriguez's "Spy Kids 4: All The Time in the World," which is currently in post-production. Rodriguez, who has collaborated with the mom-to-be on various projects, spoke to MTV News about the star last summer. He marveled at Alba's ability to multitask as an actress and mother on the set of their film "Machete."

"I was so inspired, seeing her on [the 'Machete'] set trying to be beautiful for the camera and yet having to [run off] to change her baby's diaper," Rodriguez said, explaining his decision to add Alba to the "Spy Kids" franchise. "I thought, 'You know what? That would be great as a spy-mom, I've got to write that in.' "
