Lil Wayne And Drake Make Their Super Bowl Predictions

Young Money duo think the New Orleans Saints have it because they're 'playing with a lot of heart.'

Backstage at the Grammy Awards, artists were milling about — some greeting one another, some in their dressing rooms getting ready to take the stage. Lil Wayne and Drake, meanwhile, were as calm as if they were sitting in Weezy's Miami condo watching "SportsCenter."

Drake brought up Sunday's Super Bowl: "You excited about it?" he asked Wayne.

"I'm a Brett Favre fan," Wayne said of the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, who was knocked out of the running by the New Orleans Saints in the NFC championship game. "Football season ended for me [two weeks ago]."

We caught up with Weezy late last month, days before the Vikings were edged out by the Saints, and he was pulling for Minnesota to come out on top. "I'm rooting for Brett because I'm a die-hard," Weezy told MTV News. "I believe the Vikings will win because of the running attack. The Saints give up about 150 rushing yards a game, and the Vikings have arguably the best running back in the game [Adrian Peterson]. ... I believe the Vikings defense will frustrate [Saints quarterback Drew] Brees."

While some N.O. residents were upset about Wayne going against his hometown, let's not forget that Favre is from right around the corner, in the city of Kiln, Mississippi, less than a two-hour drive away.

Backstage at the Grammys, Weezy told Drizzy that he was still on the fence about attending the Super Bowl in Miami, where he now lives. "I may still go, though," he said. " 'Cause it is New Orleans in there. ... If they win it and [there], that'll be right. At least I get to say I saw it."

When DJ Scoob Doo asked Drake who he thought would win, the Toronto native gave it up to the Black and Gold.

"New Orleans [is] playing with heart, man," Drake said.

"Yeah, I want New Orleans to win," Wayne chimed in. "They playing with a lot of heart. Saints gonna win."

A few days prior to the Grammys, Wayne was in an Atlanta studio with Playaz Circle's Tity Boi and Young Money members Short Dawg and Gudda Gudda shooting footage for Weezy and Scoob Doo's next installment in "The Nino Brown Story" DVD series. Gudda, also a New Orleans native, thought Peyton Manning and his squad from Indianapolis would pull it out.

"I love my city. I love the Saints," Gudda clarified. "But I been rocking with the Colts for years. I got 20 racks on the Colts."

Queen Latifah, Pharrell and Diddy spearheaded BET's "SOS Save Ourselves: Help for Haiti" telethon Friday night (February 5) at Miami's American Airlines Arena, encouraging viewers to donate to the quake-ravaged island.

From the onset, the mood was upbeat, thanks to Wyclef Jean's opening performance of "Hold On" with Mavado. 'Clef — who told the audience he wanted to teach them "Creole 101" — also brought out Haitian MCs to rap along. Later, he celebrated his homeland's culture in an energetic mini-set that started off with him and Akon performing "Sweetest Girl." 'Clef then said since he was in Miami, he wanted to do a remix. Haitian singer Black Dada came out and started singing the hook to his single "I'mma Zoe." Then, Wyclef's artist Haitian Fresh came out. The performance ended with everyone waving Haitian flags.

The tone of the night's performances ranged from inspirational, with powerhouse vocalists Mary J. Blige and Jazmine Sullivan singing "We Gonna Make It," to fun, with Justin Bieber and Ludacris uniting for "Baby" (the Biebs gave a gracious salute to Haiti by singing parts of "One Less Lonely Girl" in French). Robin Thicke did a pitch-perfect rendition of Marvin Gaye's "Mercy Mercy Me," and Keri Hilson performed her Billboard smash "Knock You Down."

Hilson delivered a message to the crowd after her song: "No one is paid to be here. We're all here from the bottoms of our hearts. We're all brothers and sisters in Christ. No one is exempt. We can all do something."

Busta Rhymes brought a brand-new, Haiti-themed song to the telethon. Although the rap vet did not announce the title, he rapped with clarity and conviction. "While my heart is racing and I address the topic," Rhymes rapped. "What's the reason they facing something so catastrophic/ While I search for answers and balance my thoughts equal/ All I can come up with is God is testing the people/ It's so incredible to witness the strength of the righteous/ And the clearest example of how we come together in crisis."

Another powerful lyricist, Nas, also took to the stage. He performed "The Strong Will Continue" with Damian Marley, from their upcoming Distant Relatives LP. "This is for the strong," Nas yelled. "This is for Haiti!"

Chris Brown was in top form, breaking out "Crawl" and "With You." Kirk Franklin brought an all-star triumvirate of India.Arie, Jazmine Sullivan and Chrisette Michele to sing a special version of his Haiti relief song "Are You Listening." The powerful songbirds brought an even more spiritual vibe to the song, breaking into "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" in the middle of the song.

The show ended with Diddy, Queen Latifah and Pharrell saying good night before starting a "Lean on Me" sing-along. Almost all the night's other performers — which also included Monica, Robin Thicke and Pitbull — came out, as did stars such as Brian McKnight, Sean Kingston and Gloria Estefan.

Former President Bill Clinton also spoke during the event, driving home the message that our help for Haiti will have to be a sustained effort. "We've still got a lot to do to get the people of Haiti back so they don't have to worry about day-to-day," Clinton said. "Those people deserve our help. They can have a better future, and you can give it to them."

Wyclef Jean has been a dynamo in his support for earthquake relief in his home country of Haiti. He appeared on both MTV's "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon last month and BET's "SOS Saving Ourselves: Help For Haiti" on Friday night (February 5) and, of course, has raised millions of dollars through his Yele Haiti foundation.

On Friday night, he brought out Haitian rappers during his performances, and backstage, he introduced one of them, whose group lost a member in the earthquake.

"Tonight is a big thing," he said. "This is my man Izolan from a crew called Barikad Crew. They lost the youngest member of the group [Young Cliff] in the quake, so the good thing is they got a chance to come out here tonight along with another group called RockFam. And for the first time, I think the world has noticed guys rapping in Creole besides myself, which is a great thing. No matter what's going on in the country, we as the youth are going to rebuild the country."

While the groups may have been relatively unknown in the U.S. before Friday night's appearance, Wyclef has made sure that their names, and their country's need for assistance, has reached millions.

Snooki, Nick Cannon Give Us Their Super Bowl Picks

Las Vegas oddsmakers have the Indianapolis Colts as 5-point favorites heading into their Sunday showdown with the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV. And while they might know what they're talking about, they obviously haven't been listening to the celebrity oddsmakers of the world, because, well, they'll tell you a different story.

Over the past few weeks, we've been asking some of the biggest stars in the music business for their Super Bowl picks, and they're taking the Saints. (So are Lil Wayne and Drake, who also gave us their predictions.)

"They're both great teams, they both have amazing quarterbacks, but for me the story is, 'Wouldn't it be cool if the Saints were able to do that for their city and do it for their team?' " Josh Groban said. "They've never been to the Super Bowl, and it's been really fun to watch them play this year. They play a really graceful game."

"I have to go with the Saints. My man Reggie Bush — 619 all day!" Nick Cannon laughed, referring to Bush's San Diego upbringing and the fact that the Saints running back writes the city's "619" area code on his eye black before games. "I might put '619' on my face that night too!"

And the Saints backing didn't stop there.

"I'm gonna go with New Orleans, because I love New Orleans, and I think they could use as much victory and economic boost as they can get," Jason Mraz said.

"I gotta go with the Saints," Melanie Fiona added. "They've been taking it all the way, glorious finish."

About the only Colts backer we could find isn't even a singer — and she's not exactly a football fan either. Seems they don't watch a whole lot of pigskin down on the Jersey Shore.

"I'd say Colts," "Jersey Shore" star Snooki said "I don't know [why]. I don't watch football."

Who do you think will win the Super Bowl? Are you siding with Nick or Snooki? Let us know below!

How Is Lil Wayne Spending His Time Before Prison?

It's hard to say that Lil Wayne has been working overtime in preparation for his 12-month prison sentence, since the guy always works overtime. But on Tuesday, Wayne will be forced to take a break when he goes to prison for felony gun possession.

Wayne's Rebirth LP just came out last week, and under normal circumstances, he would still be on the road. He had a short run of dates around Christmas with his all-star cast of rookies, Young Money.

"The tour was crazy," Nicki Minaj told us earlier this week. "This last tour, I was only able to go out with them twice. It was the same energy. I don't know how he does it with that amount of time [onstage]. His shows are always exciting."

Since the tour ended, Weezy has spent most of his time in Miami. He's been recording Tha Carter IV and shooting videos for the Young Money songs "Girl I" and "Roger That." The latter plays off the film "Sin City."

"When it's Young Money/ Cash Money, it's a lot of enjoyment," DJ Scoob Doo said of the collective's video sets. Scoob, who has been traveling with Wayne and company since last year, is the filmmaker behind the up-close-and-personal "Nino Brown Story" DVD series. The second installment was released January 22, and Scoob has been shooting with Weezy for the third. "It's not a set where it's a lot of tension. People wanna be there. It's good energy."

Scoob said when Wayne's not working, he spends his downtime watching ESPN's "SportsCenter." "He can tell you what the sportscaster is about to say, the moves the players make [in the highlights] and how many times they replayed it," Scoob laughed. "Lot of fun. It's a good thing."

In late January, Wayne went to his hometown of New Orleans to see his team, the Minnesota Vikings (he's a Brett Favre fan), take on the Saints in the NFC championship game. When Favre and company lost, Wayne was none too pleased.

Days later, Weezy hit Atlanta to shoot two videos: one with Playaz Circle and the other with Shawty Lo.

"It was crazy," Lo said about their collaboration, "WTF." "We started 6 in the a.m. and didn't finish until 6 the next morning. We had a club performance, we had the rooftop performance and an inside-studio performance. Like, three, four good scenes. ... Wayne is unbelievable. He's the hardest-working artist I know. He don't need a pencil. He goes off the top. Wayne is unbelievable. He came and blessed me with the video. I was gonna go to Miami, fly down there. But he came and we shot it in Atlanta, so it was a great look."

Weezy's biggest and most anticipated video coming out in the next couple of weeks is for his mega-collaboration with Eminem, "Drop the World." The two met for the first time in Los Angeles a couple of days prior to shooting the video Saturday.

"Security on that set was crazy," Scoob Doo said of "Drop the World." "You had to go through a lot of stuff to get on that set."

In between takes, Scoob said Weezy and Em traded jewels. "You see two titans," Scoob recalled. "Eminem and Lil Wayne — it just looks like a lot of wisdom and experience. They're not really talking about nothing, about success or how to be more successful. It's classic to see that."

That weekend, Weezy and Slim Shady rehearsed with Drake and Travis Barker and performed "Drop the World" and "Forever" at the Grammys.

"For me and Wayne, it was just such a full-circle moment," Drake said of the Grammys. "We started out this year on a mission for him to bring up some new artists under his label, Young Money. It's very rare that an artist is successful in that, bringing up somebody and having the world recognize somebody else that they believe in. We had a great moment onstage. I gave him a big hug and told him I loved him. It was amazing."

At the Grammys, Wayne said he was leaning toward going to the Super Bowl, which happens to be in Miami. "I may still go, though," he said at the time. " 'Cause it is New Orleans in there. ... If they win it and [I'm there], that'll be right. At least I get to say I saw it." Weezy has already been partying as the star-studded weekend has begun. A Saturday night Wayne concert has been canceled, but he's still making the rounds.

"Club Play with Drizzy. Guess who's on his way?" Nicki Minaj tweeted Thursday night from Miami. Minutes later, another tweet confirmed the special guests: "Weezy, Mack and Short just walked in Club PLAY Its OFFICIAL!!!!!! Young Money in this BITCH!!!!!!!!! We dutty whining in this Bitch! Lmaoooo."

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to felony gun possession in a Manhattan courtroom in October, stemming from a July 2007 arrest following his first headlining concert in New York. On Tuesday, Wayne is due in court in New York for sentencing. An article in the latest edition of Rolling Stone magazine, which features Wayne on the cover, reports that the MC will travel by jet to NYC.

Taylor Swift Backlash Redux: Fans And Foes Fight It Out

Yes, you're still debating about Swift, the Grammys and the debate itself.
By James Montgomery

At some point, this all has to end, right? All week long, MTV News and our very vocal readers have been talking about the so-called "Taylor Swift Backlash," which started after her performance — and subsequent Album of the Year win — at Sunday night's Grammy Awards. It picked up steam on Tuesday, when we declared that people shouldn't hate on Swift, then went into overdrive with comments from MTVNews.com readers, both opposed to and in support of the country-pop star.

And the debate continues to rage. On Thursday, we published a third story based solely on reader comments, and the response to the response was so great that, well, we're back with a fourth. But in an added twist, this time the debate isn't just between Swift fans and Lady Gaga supporters. It's becoming a discussion about the nature of the debate itself, and even about the fate of the music industry. How very meta. (If, for some reason, you still haven't weighed in on the Great T. Swift Debate, let your voice be heard in the comments below these comments!)

"Taylor Swift deserved that award. I'm sick of Lady Gaga fans whining about it over and over. I like Gaga and I really like Beyoncé. However, Swift made the biggest impact this year; just because it was to young girls means nothing. Maybe if Swift were a drugged-up freak, she would earn more respect from you guys. She is still a relevant artist. Rock on, Taylor and Stevie! Love you both." — Jim Bob

"I really don't think she made the biggest impact though. I mean Lady Gaga has changed pop music and fashion, and Taylor, while popular, is pretty conventional outside the fact that rather than just being a country artist she is kinda country/pop." — Paul

"Good performance or not, we all know Taylor really didn't deserve to win the Album of the Year, not up against artists like Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. Taylor is simply still garnering sympathy votes because of the MTV VMA situation. ... I have nothing against the child, she seems to be a sweet girl but Album of the Year? Come on! This is why people have long since been finished with the Grammys. The voters never vote based on talent." — Ososhocked

"The Grammys have always been a joke. More often than not, they award convention, not creativity. When push comes to shove, the Grammys will always award the 'safe' choice, and you can't get any safer than a cute blond girl who sings about stupid teenage things. Think about some of the other artists she was up against: an openly bisexual woman who is for gay rights (Lady Gaga), an assertive black woman comfortable with her sexuality (Beyoncé), and a racially mixed group that is openly in support of various leftist causes (Black Eyed Peas). Let's face it, with the politics of the Grammys, these artists didn't stand a chance against a skinny, non-threatening, apolitical, straight white girl." — The_Cactus

"All I can say ... that girl's music has touched and inspired other young girls to strive for their dreams ... [and don't] forget that girl has made young girls believe that's OK to be yourself and be cool and hot in your own ways. I don't think Gaga and Beyoncé's over-to-the-top-and-shake-ass music have done that to our innocent and naive kids. ... When I have my own kids in the future, I'll definitely encourage them to listen and be inspired by her words and music." — Nur

"Can't you all see this is just hype to take our mind off of the war going on, the recession, the daily loss in the American dollar, or is that just me? And I've seen both Lady Gaga and Taylor in concert, and let me just say, both were great shows! It's better that one of the two wins. And how many damn awards does Beyoncé need?" — J.S. in NWI

"Are awards that important? Really? It's making these grown-up people lash out at a 20-year-old girl. I mean, COME ON, y'all wouldn't be bashing her if she wasn't beating your favorite artists at these award shows. At the end of the day, one bad performance does not define this girl. You cannot take away her talent as a songwriter nor her natural gift for touching people with honest lyrics. She must be doing something right if she's outselling the likes of Beyoncé, Gaga, Kanye, Britney, etc. ... People are buying her music, they're interested in her opinions, they look up to her see her as a role model." — Jenny

"The fact of the matter is Taylor has had the top-selling album for 2008 and 2009. So for that, I see why the industry voters chose her for Album of the Year. I feel like many others that she just is not a top-notch performer like she should be. ... Do I think she deserved Album of the Year? To be honest I don't. I feel Beyoncés album covered so much material, she truly had a great album, and so did Lady Gaga." — Justin

"In comment after comment, clearly the majority has spoken. Most people believe that Gaga should've won the Grammy of the Year. Now, I'm not a big Gaga fan, but in all honesty she deserved it. ... Swift's album was mostly about school-boy crushes and a love story. It wasn't Album of the Year quality. I was surprised she was nominated, even more surprised she WON. Gaga was snubbed by the Grammys." — LoveRubyLove

"I really think the voters for the Grammys need to open up their ears to Gaga's whole album. I didn't love it at first, but after giving it another chance I realized that every track is amazing in its own way. She could easily have released another five singles from the album. It really is that good. I haven't heard music that inspiring in so long, and I truly think it was deserving of the Album of the Year award." — Fame Monster

"Give me a break. She deserves it. People kill me with all of the hate towards this girl. OK, she isn't Beyoncé. But who is? ... Beyoncé isn't missing out on one Grammy; she has plenty and now holds the title. ... I also feel that many of you are being biased because you feel that only your genre of music should win. Taylor has a nice voice. Heck, there are many people who can't stand Beyoncé's voice. Get over yourselves and give Taylor a break. Honestly, the Grammys don't make the singer, so who cares. Most of you didn't even care about who won what award, you only watched to see the performances." — Spoiledbrat

"I am [amused] at the explosion of negativity towards celebrities, not only Taylor Swift. People hide behind the very computers they use to illegally download music; then bash the industry they are electronically raping. If all of you think that you know better than those who are given voting rights in the Grammys, then please answer me one thing: Why don't YOU have a vote? If you are all as knowledgeable and intellectually superior about judging artistry, talent and ability, shouldn't you be a voter for the awards? Instead of being rude, classless beings; why don't you do something about it? Instead of tearing apart a 20-year-old young woman who undeniably has talent and ability, why don't you start a record label, become an agent or record your own music? We, as human beings, need to start showing some basic human decency towards one another. Less Kanye, More Beyoncé." T_Thompson

Are you still worked up over Taylor Swift's wins or the backlash against her? Keep the comments coming!

Chris Brown Pumps Up 'SOS: Help For Haiti' Crowd

More than three weeks after the earthquake in Haiti and following mammoth relief efforts by the music industry — from "Hope for Haiti Now" to "We Are the World" — artists again came out to raise money and awareness on Friday night (February 5). BET's "SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti" brought together Justin Bieber, Wyclef Jean and Diddy for an evening of performances at American Airlines Arena in Miami.

Around 9:30 p.m. ET, Chris Brown took the stage to perform two singles from his last two albums, Exclusive and Graffiti. Wearing a gray jacket and black pants, the R&B singer began by belting out "Crawl," one of his newer singles, beneath a collection of American flags.

The single is widely thought to be about his former girlfriend Rihanna, though the lyrics also at times seemed to fit the evening's focus, like when Brown sang, "If we crawl till we can walk again/ Then we'll run until we're strong enough to jump."

Brown infused a measure of live-show intensity to the proceedings. At times he ran across the stage while singing and paused to lead the audience in a group clap.

"We want to thank all y'all for coming out here tonight," Brown said as the song came to an end. "Do whatever y'all can to support. For you all watching at home, do whatever you can — donate!"

Then stripping off his jacket to reveal a short-sleeve black button-down, Brown busted into "With You," a cut from Exclusive. Produced by Norwegian heavyweights Stargate (the duo behind hits from Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Beyoncé), the song's lyrics — "I need you, boo" — were perhaps less apt for the occasion than "Crawl." But the energy in the performance was no less passionate. Pulling off spinning dance moves that at one point left the singer down on his knees, Brown pumped up the crowd.

To finish, Brown simply waved at the crowd and headed backstage, certainly hoping that his performance and thoughtful words might bring in much-needed donations. All funds raised at "SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti" will be donated to several charities, including Project Media Share, Yele Haiti, C.A.R.E. and Procter & Gamble's Children's Safe Water Program.

Exclusive: Jared Leto Talks About 30 Seconds To Mars Bomb Scare

Posted: 05 Feb 2010 02:54 AM PST

'It was pretty surreal,' the 30STM frontman says.
By James Montgomery

On Thursday (February 4), Jared Leto decided to hold an impromptu gathering of 30 Seconds to Mars fans at the Hive, the gallery/communal space he and his bandmates run on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. The plan was to treat them to a glimpse of "Artifact," the 30STM documentary he's been working on for more than a year now.

The fans turned up in droves — so many gathered outside the Hive that the guys made the call to hold two or three screenings — and everything was proceeding as planned. Leto was standing on a small stage at the back of the space, thanking the first crowd for the generosity they showed in a recent auction the band held to benefit Haiti, when all of a sudden there was a loud banging on the door of the Hive. A man entered, wearing a hoodie and smoking a cigarette, holding a large package in his arms. He called out to Leto, then jumped on the stage, tossed the package to the floor and began ranting.

Footage of the incident has already made its way online, but on Friday, for the first time, Leto talked exclusively to MTV News about the genuinely terrifying string of events that followed.

"There was a giant, really loud knock at the front door, and I joked, 'Open it up,' " he explained. "Then a guy walks in with a giant package in his arms and everyone, including me, thought it was a joke.

"I thought it was a fan who had maybe brought a gift or something, but as he got closer, you could see he was giving off a different kind of energy. A few people in the crowd tried to stop him, because no one was really sure what his intentions were," Leto continued. "He threw this big package down and it obviously had some weight to it, and addressed me by name and said he had a message for me and started reading out of a notebook. He was very incoherent and delusional."

Leto tried to calm the man down, but when he showed no signs of stopping, he grabbed him and took him out the back door of the building. He said he tried to talk to the man to calm him down, but quickly realized that "he was not in a good place and obviously disturbed."

"As I tried to talk to him, he got more and more aggressive. I saw he was not well, and then he started to read out of his book again, saying he had this message for me," Leto said. "And in these circumstances, you get protective of fans and friends, so I was concerned a little. We were all cautious. He kept trying to push his way back in [to the building] but we stopped him. It was pretty surreal, but at the same time, I did feel some empathy [for him]."

Meanwhile, someone inside the Hive took the package and threw it out the back door. No one knew what was inside, but the situation appeared to be resolved — until word got back that the man had pulled up to the building with loud music blaring from his car and parked it right in the middle of Melrose. Then people got scared. And someone called the Los Angeles Police Department's bomb squad.

"We did the screening and then, 20 minutes later, we got another knock on the door and it was the bomb squad saying they were clearing the area," Leto said. "They ended up clearing five blocks of Melrose — streets were blocked off, they weren't letting anyone in or out and then, all of a sudden, this guy walks down the street towards me and I told the police, 'That's the guy.' "

Police wrestled the man to the ground and asked him what was inside the package. According to Leto, the man replied that there were "some appliances ... and maybe some explosives inside." And then the bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in.

The man was taken into custody — the LAPD has not released his name — and an investigation into the matter is ongoing. It was revealed that the contents of the box were either "a blender and some candy" (according to one report) or some money (according to another).

Despite the incident, which Leto said was "definitely surreal," he intends on finishing the screenings Friday night for fans who weren't able to see the film. And though all of this, the only thing he wants to clear up is a report that, following the incident, he joked, "It's official, we have the craziest fans in the world." He wasn't talking about the man with the package, but rather, one of his fans that managed to affix a 30STM sticker to the back of a police cruiser during the chaos.

"We have wonderful fans and what I said was taken out of context online. After police let everyone back in to the area, a number of people gathered outside and there were media outlets and cameras there too," Leto explained. "And during all this, someone says that a fan had put a sticker on a police car, a 30 Seconds to Mars sticker, and I joked that we definitely have the craziest fans in the world. That was in reaction to the sticker, not the guy. I mean, someone put a sticker on a cop car in the middle of a bomb scare."

At BET's "SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti" telethon on Friday (February 5), Mary J. Blige treated the crowd to not one but two songs. For the first track, "We Gonna Make It," from her new Stronger With Each Tear LP, the singer was joined onstage by R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan. The two looked glamorous — Jazmine in a black dress, Mary in a decorated black leather jacket and blond coif — but the message was serious and hopeful.

"Put your hands in the air," Mary told the crowd. "Tell Haiti they're gonna make it tonight, because we are their bridge over troubled water." Mary was referencing Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water," which she performed during the Grammy Awards on Sunday with Andrea Bocelli; the cover has been released as an iTunes/Target.com download, with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross for earthquake-recovery efforts in Haiti.

Following up her duet at "SOS," Mary performed the U2 track, "One," which she originally recorded with the band's Bono for her 2005 album The Breakthrough. The uplifting performance concluded with Blige thanking the audience.

All funds raised at "SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti" will be donated to several charities, including Project Media Share, Yele Haiti, C.A.R.E. and Procter & Gamble's Children's Safe Water Program. To donate, go to SOSHelpForHaiti.org.

Justin Bieber took a break from answering phones at BET's "SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti" telethon Friday night (February 5) to wow the crowd with a medley of his hits.

The teen star performed a few fan favorites, including "Baby" and "I'll Never Let You Go." But Bieber mixed things up a bit when he busted out French lyrics on the first verse of "One Less Lonely Girl," before finishing the song in English.

He then told the crowd, "I need everyone to take out their cell phones," before launching into "I'll Never Let You Go." The crowd then bounced along with him to new single "Baby" as Bieber was joined onstage by his collaborator on the song, Ludacris. Highlighting the reason everyone had come together for the show, Bieber changed the chorus to "Baby, baby, Haiti." As he wrapped up his performance he told the crowd, "Donate to Haiti, everybody. Thank you very much. God bless."

Bieber was one of the many performers in a concert that included Robin Thicke and India.Arie, Chris Brown, Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige, Akon and Monica. All money raised at the telethon will be going to several charities, including Project Media Share, Yele Haiti, C.A.R.E. and Procter & Gamble's Children's Safe Water Program. Pharrell said earlier in the night, "Haiti is a world away and tonight we're here to close that gap. We're here so that they know the world is watching — Haiti, we're here for you."
